I'll start with the less obvious to not kill the thread early.

* Mae Young - The hand story was stupid but you can't help but laugh at her doing the Bronco Buster and get enjoyment from being power bombed through a table.

* Viscera, Ken Shamrock, D'Lo Brown - Not just these 3 but I'm emphasising the variety of the roster. There were big guys, athletic and shooters which gave a great range of matches on the midcard.

* The crowd - Helped by the quality of the shows, the crowd always made watching on TV a hell of lot better. From Rocky to Asshole to Suck It they made a great atmosphere for both heel and face
