Best feud ever

I have been a wrestling fan for 25 years now and am currently reliving the great feud between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle.... I am a wrestling purist. I have enjoyed feuds for mike work, the first I can recall that completely captavated me was Hulk Hogan Vs Bobby Heanan and his wrestling proxy Andre the Giant and absolutely enjoy wrestlers taking bumps and sacraficing themselves for us. my first real experience with great in-ring wrestling happened twice, just months apart, with Ric Flair Vs Ricky Steamboat and Sting Vs the Great Muta... fyi:when I started watching, WWE (formerly WWF) had the best talkers with NWA (soon to be wcw) having had the best workers until in a very short amount of time guys like savage, hart, hennig, and michaels tuned up the band.

My point here is I am curious to get feedback on your opinion of the greatest feuds in pro wrestling history, I am going to include a dozen choices I prefer but obviously write-in are welcome.... debates are welcome if you think one of my choices are bad feel free to explain why...

My dirty dozen:
Hogan Vs Heenan Family
Steamboat VS Flair
Jerry Lynn Vs RVD
Eddie Guerrero Vs Dean Malenko
Brian Danielson Vs Nigel Mcguiness
Samoa Joe Vs Kurt Angle (first three especially)
AJ Styles Vs christopher daniels vs samoa joe
Steve Austin Vs the Rock
Shawn Michaels Vs the Undertaker
Hulk Hogan Vs Roddy Piper
Dudleys Vs Edge & Christian Vs the Hardys
Sting Vs The Great Muta

My omission of Jericho, Mysterio, Chono, Dibiase, Orton, and Beniot was no slight to any of them, just no feuds lept to mind. FYI, I excluded Ricky Steamboat VS Savage because I started watching the sport around the time it was concluding and did not take note of it for almost a decade after the fact. Also their were two feuds I left off the list for a peculiar reason, I loved them emphatically as a younger man but for the life of me don't know why!! Legion of Doom VS the Stieners and The rock n roll express vs the midnight express (stan lane/bobby eaton version)... I almost put them on the list but I wanted the best to be listed more than my favorite....

please tell me your thoughts.....try to give 3 or more feuds por favor.

Nothing is better to me than Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart.

Austin vs McMahon, and I don't care if this sounds hyperbolic or not, it's better than every other feud in wrestling history combined. It literally is that level of great. Wrestling has essentially been killed because nothing will ever be able to top it.

Agreed. I would also like to add that McMahon was the most important star in the AE. Without him, Austin wouldn't have been so great and wouldn't have reached the heights that he did. Without the Corporation, may not have gotten as over as he did, and if he did, it may have taken a bit longer for him to become a top main eventer.

I'd have to go with NWO/WCW as it created a sense of unpredictability. One of the best times to be a wrestling fan.

Another 1 is Sabu/Taz, simply because of the way it began and the real life heat between the 2, Paul Heyman and the way Sabu left ECW.

Re: Best feud ever

based on my own logic (brain fart sorry)I should have listed Mcmahon Vs austin on the same principle as Hogan Vs Heenan and I had basicly stopped watching WWF from wrestlmania X until the summer after wrestlemania X3... I stayed glued to the WWF because of the Mcmahon/Austin feud after.... Steve Austin, the Rock, and Roddy Piper are the only truly consistant on the stick in my estimationb....

Enjoyed Sabu Vs Taz but Jerry Lynn Vs RVD after and Guerrero Vs Malenko before are my standard bearers for ECW ringwork.....

on a tangent here, generically from '92 to '95 WCW just wasnt what I enjoyed in the ring (thank you ECW for fiulling the void) but a couple exceptions for me was Stunning Steve Austin Vs Steamboat and Austin Vs THe great Muta.... I had a great opinion of Austin before ECW and McMahon almost killed it by making him the Ringmaster....

Austin vs Rock

Can't talk about that video series enough, really makes you appreciate the feud more. Fucking shame that part 2 got removed

First - replace "Hogan vs Heenan family" with "Hogan vs Macho Man" because that rivalry spanned into WCW too, and some of their rivalry spilled into real life.

Austin vs Vince obviously. As far as pure wrestlers go, most would say Austin vs The Rock, but I legitimately liked The Rock vs Triple H more. Barely, but nevertheless, more. That's the last (I believe) feud in the WWE where a match result saw heaps of trash thrown into the ring by utterly disgusted fans. Triple H is arguably the best heel ever, and The Rock many argue is the best ever (he was in 2000 at least) and when they collided in 2000, it was just completely amazingly awesome.

Austin and The Rock lasted longer with funnier moments, but The Rock and Triple H had more energy and intensity to it IMO. My favorite rivalry of all time.

Some may say to remove Undertaker and HBK. They certainly didn't have the same "hate" in their rivalry as others on the list have. But, I think Undertaker and HBK are the greatest rivalry in terms of quality in ring action - the matches they had trumps anything on that list by far. I mean, if you made a "top 10 matches of all time" list, you could very easily place two (the Wrestlemania matches) and maybe even a third (Badd Blood 97 - Kane debut) on a total top 10 and it wouldn't be even remotely far fetched.

Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus. I'm not even joking.

Edit: Do I think it's THE best? No, but I think it belongs in the conversation.
