I pretty much agree with OP. The nWo thing started to get old after they were introducing a new member seemingly every week. They should have kept it to about 10 strong members and kept it at that and have one leave every so often and they gain a new one in his/her place. But Savage should've been allowed to have been one of the strong points on the WCW side. Almost all the upper midcarders and main eventers at the time seem to have gone nWo and that killed the balance, that and when you have everyone and their mother joining nWo (jobbers to main eventers) it didn't seem that special anymore.

What about his feud with Flair? His feud with Sting? His match with Flair at Great American Bash 94 is a **** match at least.

You're talking about 1998, in '97 it was still WCW vs. nWo. I watched the 8/4/97 Nitro and then watched the 8/3/98 Nitro and I could clearly tell that WCW had worse booking in '98, on that Nitro show they had Wolfpac Sting turn back into Crow Sting out of nowhere and then the following Thunder was wearing red again and there wasn't an explanation for it . That's the reason why WCW were far ahead of the WWF in '97 and the following year WCW were losing in the ratings more than winning.

nWo Savage wasn't cool at all. I didn't like him being one of Hogan's minions. He should have stayed opposed to all such nWo nonsense.

I always felt like the nWo needed a counter faction, and not one that was just a nWo spinoff. Savage, Sting and DDP I felt would have made a great face faction, if they had just kept the nWo at three. But I guess they could have added guys like Bret Hart among others if need be. I feel like Goldberg was more a lone wolf than a team player which is why I left him out of the face faction.

he should have never left WWF. The only memorable he has done in WCW is feuding with DDP.

I'd definitely agree that Randy Savage was wasted as a member of The New World Order outside of his feuds with Sting in 1998 and Diamond Dallas Page in 1997 which were both very good and Randy Savage actually cemented Diamond Dallas Page as a singles star in their feud. Before we saw Randy Savage join The New World Order though he was easily one of the best things in WCW on a weekly basis as his feuds with The Four Horsemen, The Faces Of Fear and The Giant were all very good.

The problem once Randy Savage turned heel was that it was a time when the only way you could be a heel was if you joined The New World Order and that meant that he was booked beneath Hulk Hogan yet again and then even with both men as a heel was booked to lose the World title twice to Hulk Hogan as well. I always believed that Randy Savage should have remained as a babyface against The New World Order seeing as he was the first man to be attacked by the group although i guess that would have meant no Sting/Savage or DDP/Savage happening.

I thought Macho Man was great in WCW/NWO until around 1999.

He didn't have much of an impact but he was a logical addition based on his WWE history. He probably should have taken the Giant's role as the first defector after Hogan, and been treated as a much bigger deal.
