Jim The Anvil Niedhart promo appreciation thread

He was great on the mic, and hilarious. I watch these and still laugh. One of my favorite promo men ever.

This one he had me rolling right from the beginning....the intensity was off the charts right out of the gates. Didn't make a ton of sense, but still awesome.

This one is a classic. Hilarious. Maybe my favorite Hart Foundation promo.

Sounding all smart in this one and then kills it at the end...."look at the back!" LOL!

Neidhart is the shit. Great promos, great facial hair, and the dude is a tank.

He was one of my top five in those days for his promos alone.

I really believe Niedhart was not used well in the WWF. He was great as a heel in Memphis. He and Ric Rude tore up the territory for about a year. He should have been used as a monster heel IMO, and then turned face. I think he had the personality and charisma to get over as a number 3 or 4 face. Instead the WWF kept him in Brett's shadow.

Yeah, WWE has a history of only pushing one guy when they break a tag team up.

Though, Anvil didn't help himself in the 90's after the breakup, as he had a lot of issues....got fired for throwing a TV at someone, drug problems, missed shows, etc.

Loved the Anvil's maniacal laugh and awesome goatee. Big reason why The Harts are my favourite tag team. Anvil was such a great yang for the Hitman's ying IYKWIM.

He was awesome. Bret during their time as a tag team, not so much.
