Do You Still Miss WCW?
Over 11 years on and in this dark period in wrestling, who else still misses WCW and wishes they'd made it through without crazy, old, egomaniac Vince getting his hands on the company? The industry today would be better for it.
More than anything I just miss the feel of WCW. I miss the talent, the logo, the arena's, I miss Nitro, I miss WCW Worldwide on channel 5, hell I even miss Tony Schiavone and Scott Hudson on commentary.

Re: Do You Still Miss WCW?
Yes. To be perfectly honest, I wish they would have "won" & WWF was the one to go out of business. I don't know where that would leave us at today but I'm pretty sure we would be McMahon-free & not have a publicly trade pro-wrestling company. Would the AOL/Time Warner merger still kill WCW if they purchased WWF? I don't know. But if they did, then a new federation would rise from the ashes & we would have an all new company as the top dog right now.

With oUt a Doubt, then again I miss the old territories like wccw, Memphis, ect. Because the more professional run organizations there are the better the business. How are we doing now, with one major league, one semi major league and a bunch of minor leagues.

Every day. Still makes me sad just thinking about it being gone. As bad as it was it was still a very solid alternative to WWE.

EveryoNe goes on about how bad ninety nine and two thousand were but I would happily take the natural born thrillers, Stacy keibler, torrid Wilson, Jeff jarrett, booker t, Scott Steiner, Benoit, male kno, Guerrero, misterio, all the cruiser weights, Goldberg, sting, Russo, Nash, Sullivan, dusty booking over what we have had he last fe years aside from punk, Cody Rhodes, and Damien sandow.

Re: Do You Still Miss WCW?
Yes, but not WCW the company/promotion but WCW as a competition that can stand up to WWE and preferably ECW/TNA as the third force. With three people around, people get more variety, the competition brings out the best in every single one of them and wrestlers have more freedom to move around allowing their creativity to be used as well instead of being merely "Yes, Boss!".

Re: Do You Still Miss WCW?
I think it sucks that apart from TNA there is no other big company left in the US. TNA isn't actually a big company without their little tv deal. They don;t tour like WWE but stick to Orlando, FL most of the time. Don't know how ROH is doing right now but they are still not mainstream enough to give competition a boost.
WCW was huge. It had the big feel to it. Big venues, top stars, PPV's and great matches.

Re: Do You Still Miss WCW?
I liked WCW. It made me a wrestling fan before I started watching WWF.
Nowadays I really don't anymore, because TNA has been a more than suitable replacement for over 10 years now. I would just wish TNA had a better TV deal and could run in venues like WCW had done. Even in their last days WCW had solid crowds.
