Yeah, definitely. Not just because they were legit competition, but the whole spirit and atmosphere of the Bischoff-run WCW: the Cruiserweight division, the 3 hour shows (that actually kept the viewer entertained the whole time), the nWo, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan, Sting and Ric Flair, the Goldberg phenomenon, etc.

With all that being said, however, I'm glad Vince McMahon conquered WCW in the end rather than the other way around, as Vince was truly dedicated to the industry, whereas Ted Turner was a media mogul who viewed WCW as a mere plaything. If Turner had ended up acquiring the WWF, who knows what would have become of its legacy, copyrights, and video library.

WCW of the mid-90s was tremendous. Stunning Steve Austin, Vader, Rick Steamboat, Rick Rude, Sting, Ric Flair, etc. Then, from mid-96 until mid-98 it was great with the Monday Night Wars, the NWO, and so on. It also made Vince McMahon that much better with his product as he was forced to improve or die.

Late 80's was a lot of fun too. The one or so good year of Lex Luger's career (), Nikita Koloff crazy-ass promos, Bobby Eaton, Ricky Morton, etc.

Definitely. At its absolute worst it was better than the WWE is at the moment.

I miss WCW from the early 90s-98. The last few years were awful, though. And I don't know why people keep saying TNA is the modern version of WCW. TNA on it's best day was/is nowhere near an inkling of the success WCW had in it's heyday. TNA has been around for 10 years now, and still doesn't even have a "heyday." The only thing the two companies have in common is Bischoff and Hogan at the top making stupid decisions. But the two actual products each company had are very different.
