Yeah, definitely. Not just because they were legit competition, but the whole spirit and atmosphere of the Bischoff-run WCW: the Cruiserweight division, the 3 hour shows (that actually kept the viewer entertained the whole time), the nWo, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan, Sting and Ric Flair, the Goldberg phenomenon, etc.
With all that being said, however, I'm glad Vince McMahon conquered WCW in the end rather than the other way around, as Vince was truly dedicated to the industry, whereas Ted Turner was a media mogul who viewed WCW as a mere plaything. If Turner had ended up acquiring the WWF, who knows what would have become of its legacy, copyrights, and video library.
