Re: Best year for the Attitude Era?

'97-'01 were all great times. I'd go for '00 though because that's the year I fully got into wrestling. I just remember absolutely everything being amazing back then. Saying that I haven't watched any of it for a few years. '01 gets seriously overlooked by some people as far as in-ring stuff goes. Austin in '01 had maybe the single best year of any wrestler in WWF/E history for me, seriously amazing stuff. '97 and '98 ruled too, but I don't remember anything from '99 at all apart from HHH/Vince feuding. That's probably my biggest blind-spot in WWE since '97 in terms of my knowledge of the product.

Re: Best year for the Attitude Era?

Absolutely agree with 1998. I loved 1998 as a whole. Some of the best wrestling television of it's time. Plus, Nation of Domination was at their best, imo.

Re: Best year for the Attitude Era?

Probably 1998 because it was so fresh especially the McMahon/Austin feud which was probably the biggest storyline of that era.

1999 was really close because The Rock really came into his own and that added to Austin/McMahon etc.

2000 was very good but Austin missed a lot of that year. The product was still good but it's tough when you're missing that important of a character from your show.

Re: Best year for the Attitude Era?

1997 simply awesome year, it not make alot of money but one of best year that have laid seed for 98.
*Hart Foundation
*Bret/AUstin Road to Wrestlemania which eventually lead to one of greatest double turn.
*rocky Mavia became the rock
*Shawn Micheal character
*debut of Dude Love,Kane and Hell in The Cell
*ECW invasion-People forgot the invasion? from what i hear WWE have plan to feature ecw matches on few of WWE PPV but for some reason it got scrapped

*great matches and great angle

1997 had one of best storytelling simply cannot be touch and still unbeatable.

Re: Best year for the Attitude Era?

1997 or 2000. I remember more from those two years anything anything from 1998 and 1999. 1999 had some horrible moments, tragically and storyline wise.
