When Russo arrived @ WCW what was his big plan?

In late 1999 when Vince Russo took over WCW and Nitro what did he initially do and what was his big plan?

He has said on many occasions that his big plan was ruined when a number of wrestlers, most notably Bret Hart, were injured just before Souled out 2000. That just threw everything upside down for him.

But I'm curious what the great plan was?

Russo is a notorious self-promoter, he probably didn't have a big plan and he's most likely just blowing smoke.

There was no big plan. Russo without Vince mcmahon is just a crazy bastard(still is).

Vince Mcmahon was his true filter who brought the best out of Russo. Russo owes Mcmahon big for any success he ever had.

Was Bret Hart already in the nWo when Russo took over Nitro?

Russo came to WCW in the fall of '99...I don't think Bret turned and joined the new nWo until closer to the end of the year. I definitely remember that he was still face at Mayhem '99.

Re: When Russo arrived @ WCW what was his big plan?

I just figured it was Goldberg vs Bret again down the line. Goldberg wouldve gone through the nwo and Bret wouldve been the last one standing.

Another idea was probably have Bret slowly regret the heel turn, and in a swerve(does russo like swerves? im not sure), have Goldberg turn heel.

Jarrett was getting the belt at sometime Im sure.

Also pretty sure he wanted something where Hogan came back and fought the powers to be. My guess is Hogan/Flair vs Creative Control.

Again, this is all speculation based on what Ive read through old reports and just how the product was.

People who say Vince Mcmahon was a "filter" are the biggest sheep morons who can't think for themselves or do any research.

If Vince is such a good filter, what the hell happened when Russo left and for the past decade? What about before Cornette got sacked and Russo became the head writer, where was his magical filtering skills then?

Take the WWF Attitude format to Atlanta and reintroduce the Outsiders and reform a new version of the NWO (Hart, Nash, Hall, Steiner and Jarrett). Basically even he admits he was burnt out and realised the company was fucked due to politics.
