Default Analyze this: Styles make Fights

The famed cliche of boxing, Styles make fights. Depending upon the style of the two boxers, it can be predicted to an extent as to how the fight would go and who has the advantage over the other.

Does this hold good for pro-wrestling? Which combination of styles in a match would make the match more interesting, quote with example is possible?

My favorite style confrontation would be a technical guy vs high flyer where the technical wrestler would try to keep the flyer in the mat say working on his leg while the flyer tries to build the momentum with cross bodies, drop kicks and getting over the top rope for moonsault with the occasional hurricanrana. This worked great whenever HBK took on Hitman other than Dean Malenko and Rey Mysterio match ups. Ofcourse,it depends entirely on the performer's ability to put a good match and am talking about two good performers in any of the particular style that is in contention.

your thoughts?

1.Chris Benoit,Daniel Bryan,Kurt Angle,HBK could put great matches against anyone.

2.My favourite match type-It depends.

When no stars are involved,I prefer fast paced matches like Morrison vs Jeff Hardy.

A great wrestler can mix it up with a high flyer, a brawler, a strong style puro guy, a submission guy or a showman and pull out a great match. However, these kind of guys are always rare and most of the wrestlers are not that well rounded and can't mix well with everyone. For instance, Bret Hart was horrible at facing puro workers and Undertaker can't work with submission guys for shit (wouldn't call Angle a submisison guy).

I have never seen a bad Bret Hart Match in terms of the work, boring maybe but bad, no. Any particular match that I should be looking for to see the other side of Bret Hart? I have heard his matches with Tiger Mask were good.

My favorite style is Lucha Libre (highflying/technical). Especially the CMLL style, because it tries to keep the traditions. Always loved good matches involving Rey Mysterio, Hijo del Santo, Atlantis, Dean Malenko, Chris Jericho from his early WCW days.
