Analyze this: Heel/Face turns on the mic
I have been frantically searching for Mankind's face turn in a raw segment which I remember vaguely having seen when he came out to his eerie music, took the mic, poured his heart out sitting in a corner pulling out his hair in process effectively turning face.
How many face/heel turns have been done by wrestlers through a mic segment and not through storylines or gimmick changes that you have come across and what is the most effective/oft used manners for a face/heel turn in your opinion?
P.S: If any of you come across the mankind raw segment am talking about, please share it.

Not exactly sure what you are wanting, but the big Lawler face turn was done through a Jimmy Hart interview after Lawler broke his leg and Hart said "what do you do with a horse with a broken leg, you shoot him." Then he brought out Paul Ellering as the new King of Wrestling.
Here is one of my favorites....Tommy Rich's mom comes out and effectivly turns Tommy Rich face and turns Jimmy Vailent, and Tojo Yammamoto heel. A rare triple turn. It also features a very young Bobby Eaton and Jimmy Hart.

The Jerry Lawler thing was the kind of stuff I am looking for where a heel/face turn happened in a mic segment and not in a match when the wrestler suddenly stops cheating or gets beaten up by his heel buddies.
BTW, the Forgotten Legends series is seriously missing your inputs.

I thought Mankind was a gradual face turn? May 1997 was his last PPV as a heel (defeating Rocky Miavia funnily enough) and June he wasn't around much, save for the JR interviews (the main catalyst for his face turn in my eyes). July he officially turned face by facing Lawler and Triple H at KOTR (getting major cheers), feuding with Triple H for a couple of months and campaigning to team up with Steve Austin in the tag team tournament.

What about Bret in 1997?
I mean, he was getting a mixed reaction all the way up to WM 13 but the night after was when he officially turned heel in one of the best promos of his career, if not the best.

Re: Analyze this: Heel/Face turns on the mic
Stranger, Chapo did you guys watch the link I posted? That's the kind of wrestling I grew up on. You never knew what was going to happen every week. Makes me laugh about the ECW chants everytime I hear them. I just think the northeast was so used to the WWF style of tv sqaush matches that ECW's wild southern style was revolutionary.
Anyways....Stranger your Forgotten Legends articles have been so storng lately I have not felt the need to chime in. But I will try to do better.
As far as another interview turn....How about the Slaughter face turn in 1984? IMO one of if not the greatest turn ever. He basically was still a heel when he and Sheik had a moment where neither would move aside while Sheik was leaving a squash and Slaughter was arriving for his.
Then Slaughter went to the ring in spite of some cheers and wrestled like a heel, going so far to hold the Cobra Clutch long after the submission. Then the next week Slaughter comes to the ring and starts badmouthing the Shiek and leads the Pledge of Allegiance.
The whole thing is on you tube and very interesting. Slaughter was as hot as Hogan in 84. It is a real shame Vince broke some promises and Slaughter left for Pro Wrestling USA.

Razor Ramon's face turn in 1993 was during an in ring segment. I believe DiBiase was trying to pay him off, which Razor wasn't about to accept. Went off on the mic and got cheered.

Didn't Punk kinda turn face on the mic, when he cut the famous promo, or if he didn't turn face in that promo, how about when he challenged McMahon in the contract signing.
