Okay something I want to discuss here is the figure 4. It has been bugging me for a while what leg should be worked on whenever they put on the figure four. Where is the pressure put on?

When in the hold: The opponent straight leg's knee and perhaps the ankle of the bendleg is where the pressure is put on. This means that guys (Flair, Hart?) who work on the knee of the bend leg, are working the wrong leg..?

Maybe with hart's ringpost figure 4 it makes sense to work in the bend leg but Flair's figure four is on the mat so him working the bend leg doesn;t make sense right?

Pressure is put on both legs.

The pressure is on the straight leg, not really both legs. You are using your opponents crossed leg to put pressure on his knee. The guys straight leg can be pushed up and you use your right leg to push down and really tear the knee apart. Its a very legit move if done correctly.

does that mean flair works the wrong leg?

hurts so bad when you actually get it in, someone put me in the figure 4 damn my legs hurt.
