I'm amazed they got everyone else to agree with it. I always heard Mick was mad at Taker for going through with the second spot of him breaking the cell. I'm not sure how true it is but he was completely out of it and doesn't remember a thing from the match, or so I heard.

Hell no. The rest of the match wasn't bad but it was lackluster, especially after following up those two spots. You can't blow your load twice in the first five minutes and then keep going for another 15. Imo the match itself would've been a lot better had they done the off the cell spot at the beginning, wrestled the match, and then ended with Mick going through the cell (or the other way around).

Top 5 spot for sure. I don't agree with saying the match itself is one of the top 5 in the world.

Oh whoops, I misread that. Yeah, it would probably make a top 5 most famous matches lists of all time.

Yeah it was planned. I remember seeing an interview by Taker saying the thing was planned but the 2nd one. The Chokeslam threw the top was not planned at all. Mankind wanted to do all this to make a name for himself. WWE probably wouldnt allow it anyways but Im pretty sure maybe 1 or 2 wrestlers on the whole roster would be willing to take falls like that today.

One of the more memorable matches I've ever seen but it was rather uncomfortable seeing it at the time because you had to be really concerned for Mick's health as it was all happening.

I'm really glad this match happened because #1)the spots were incredible and iconic and #2)if this match didn't happen, Mick Foley might never have become WWF Champion, which would've sucked because he was probably the most talented overall after Rock and Austin.

Entertainment. Austin said himself it was a time where you had to pull out all the stops to get yourself over because everyone was so hungry. Foley put his body on the line in the biggest way possible.
