The past week or so I'v been watching a lot of World of Sports matches on youtube, for people that don't know World of Sports was a tv show on ITV in the uk up until 1985. well watching I'v come across a lot of former wwe guys, such as Fit Finely, British Bulldog, Dynamite Kid and also Owen and Bret Hart.
I had no ideal that Bret and Owen ever worked matches for World of Sports. if you like grapple wrestling the matches are well worth a watch.
Tiger' Dalibir Singh vs. 'Cowboy' Brett Hart (81-11-13)
I am sure the first ever ladder match at least televised was on world of sport?
Just had a look and Kendo Nagasaki vs Clive Myers had a ladder match in 87, thats after Stampede Wrestling started doing them, but you might be right about it being the first televised one.
Im hooked on WOS since I discovered espn classic show them on saturday afternoons, the style takes a little getting used to but its addictive once you do.
No surprise to see Bret and Owen there since ive noticed whenever a guy is especially skillfull you'll always hear the announcer remark how he's just returned from a stint at Stampede in Calgary.
Regal talked a lot about it in his recent Art Of Wrestling too.
