Just been watching that video there. They where really getting stuck into each other.

Why did they really dislike each other? Any more videos like that?

I have not read any reports over the years that they did not like each other. They certainly work well together in their back and forth confrontations. So well you can feel the animosity. I'm going to credit that to their talents to create heat like that. Lawler did work several ECW TV tapings including a PPV match with Tommy Dreamer so there was a working relationship even if they may have hated each other.

Reading around. Jerry told 'Legends Round Table' that he once punched Heyman (legit) way back in the 80s. Heyman was suppose to do something (about heights or something) and they built a program around this storyline and come around for the pay off, that night Heyman came in and told Jerry he wouldn't do it cause he was scared of heights. Jerry was really pissed off and he hit Heyman and broke his nose or jaw. Anyone else hear this story?

yeah, heyman was in lawler's Memphis territory in the 80's and refused to go up on a scaffold to take a bump even after king, says, he told heyman he wanted to throw him off. so, lawler says, he broke heyman's jaw a few nights later.

when heyman was in ecw, he took jabs against lawler's taste in women...

seems like there's heat. Plus, when the kat was fired and lawler left, heyman replaced him. I always thought heyman/jr were a great commentary team

Lawler is not a popular man, I think Rick Rude was another guy who despised him. He went on ECW and said something to the ffect of:
"Lawler's spent his entire life on his knees, because he likes to look his girlfriend in the eyes."

And that whole 'see-saws in Louisville' comment by Heyman is of the same bent. I wonder if the reason he's so despised by some people is that whole rape allegation.

A.) So Ric Rude, Paul Heyman and a few others don't like him and he's not a popular man?
B.) Are you basing Rude's dislike for Lawler on Lawler's ECW invasion angle? Uhhh you do know that was to get Lawler (who was being cheered by ECW fans on camera) over as a heel? Never heard there was legit heat there.

As far as the other guys who despised Lawler...I can think of a few like Doug Gilbert, and Jamie Dundee both of whom were second generation stars (who had their own demons) who were never in shape and sat back and expected Lawler to give them a top spot because of their daddy. He's despised by some people because he had the book. When you have the book naturally some people are not going to like you.

Funny thing about this post is that Heyman is one of the most despised men in the business. There are very few guys who have held any position of power who do not have some people who do not like them.

The whole rape allegation which was reported heavily down here was an admited blackmail attempt....which guys like Heyman chose to ignore for comedic purposes.
