For sentiment yes, and for the 'Hogan turning face' and helping Sting was a mark-out sort of moment, a classic moment but not match.

Crow Sting > early 90s Sting.

I accept Hayley Williams rep.

Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

Sting was one of the few baby faces I liked as kid along with the Steiners and Bret Hart. I've always thought of Cena as a less athletic version of Sting.

Sting is a legend but he is not top 10. Riding Flair and Hogan's coattail doesnt make him one of the greats.

No doubt it was a great spectacle, one of the best for TNA. The moment where Hogan turned babyface to help Sting and ripped his shirt with the crowd exploding was awesome. The lay out for this match was perfect for Hogan's condition and gave a great payoff.

He never did. HE was the hottest guy in the peak of their feuds, not Hogan or Flair. He's one of the greats and a strong contender for Top 10 since Hogan's era in the US. He was the backbone of WCW for almost a decade.

Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

Still love this match, one of my faves not just from WCW but full stop, i knida wish the finich was slightly different, maybe with the Scorpion Deathlock, but that is a pointless niggle, shame it was slightly tainted the fact that DDP still won the title hours later lol:

That feud could have been even bigger than it was and lasted, but Hogan couldn't have himself outside of the spotlight.
As a huge Sting fan growing up and still being one to this day, this fact has pissed me off throughout my years as a wrestling fan. Everything you said is truth and it's really fucking sad that bullshit politics and egos can deprive the fans of a great payoff for an angle in which they were emotionally invested for over a year.

Character-wise I completely agree. Match-wise? Sting in the early 90's was a better worker.
