Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

Sting had minor injures from wear and tear over the years prior to 1997 but nothing major. Sting not being in action and just making appearances or taking down the nWo with a baseball bat was to make the build and intrigue even bigger. People wanted to know what Sting would do after a sighting in the rafters. Who will he attack - nWo or WCW? Is he coming for Hogan or Bischoff tonight? It was perfectly built and executed until the massive letdown of a main event at Starrcade in December.

Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

To me Crow Sting seemed more supernatural and awesome than the Undertaker. Sting is one of the G.O.A.T.s.

Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

I picked up The History of the World Heavyweight Championship dvd last week, and they have the Sting vs Ric Flair, Great American Bash 1990 match on there and for a match that only went around 12-15 minutes it was great, he had so much charisma back then that he even out did Flair in this match. have to say i thought suffer sting was better then any other sting, he had so much energy and just seemed larger then life.

Top 10 of all time thats for sure, hope wwe make a GOOD 3 disc box set for him when he hangs up his boots.

I hope they do and I would love it more if Sting was involve with the production and maybe a documentary. They have plenty of matches to choose from his NWA/WCW career to make a quality set.

Was never a fan of WCW, and so was never a fan of Sting. Ah well.

Yeah they need to do a sit down interview with Sting maybe just a one hour sit down interview with him at the start.

I'm not sure if wwe owns the CWA and UWF video library but if they did I'd love to see a few of the Blade Runners matches on this dvd if they ever make it, also Sting vs. The Great Muta from Great American Bash 89 and the Wargames match from Wrestlewar 91 are two more they have to have.

Re: The Official Sting Appreciation Thread

Still an excellent match, shame Sting hasn't had many in TNA:

Sting and Warror as the Blade Runners in Mid South in 1986

Unfortunately this is the only video of the two of them together as a team.
