Re: Golden Era vs Attitude Era

The golden era was more traditional wrestling I think, it was just a little more tamed. It was kind of like a PG era... but good. The things they did made sense and there was just fantastic wrestlers.

I don't even need to comment on the attitude era.

Re: Golden Era vs Attitude Era

Grew up on the Attitude Era but i remember seeing a bit of the Golden era when i was really little and after watching both eras years later I'd say the Golden era holds up a LOT better than the Attitude era.

Re: Golden Era vs Attitude Era

Can't speak on the Golden Era because I never lived through it and when I go back to watch it the only thing that I can stand watching is the matches(mostly Savage's and Rude's). I grew up with the Attitude Era and it still entertains me more than any other era. Though, I can't even stand to watch most of the matches. Golden Era matches were better by far.

3 people are either trolls or were born 6 years ago and started watching wrestling this year. Most likely, they ar just totally irrevalent people, who randomly click on threads to troll.

I accept Hayley Williams rep.

Re: Golden Era vs Attitude Era

I like both eras for different reasons.

The Golden Age broke me into wrestling and brought the business as a whole to mainstream and to me was one of the best collections of wrestling characters, personalities, and talents ever assembled.

The Attitude Era was a bombastic and wild rule breaking period that perfectly captured the counter culture atmosphere of the late 90s. Some of the most exciting television that wrestling has ever produced came out of WWF's Attitude Era.

I don't know which is better. What I will say though is that I'd much rather be in those time periods again than going through what we are right now.

The Attitude Era. The Golden Era was good but was far to cartoonish on times.
