I was told about it by a friend in school on the Monday morning. It had made the morning news here in England and even though this friend wasn't interested in Wrestling, he had heard about it. I thought it was part of a storyline, even when I watched the recording of the PPV that evening. In hindsight, I feel terrible that I was more concerned with Stone Cold losing the title to the Undertaker than Owen Hart because I really wasn't sure if he was really dead or not. I didn't fully realise that he was definitely dead until I watched Raw is Owen and saw HHH and Jeff Jarrett in tears and they were completely inconsolable. Being 8 at the time, I clearly didn't understand how tragic a situation it was.

Whats crazy is that the Spanish broadcast of this show, the "thud" you hear in the background was him falling. It can be heard in the background during his (Owen) promo. The announcer also said "Oh No" when it happened. It used to be on youtube.

This was my first time ordering a WWF/E PPV. I was completely shocked and stunned by it. I'll never forget that day and looking back, it's crazy they didn't end the show.

You can't go blame it on the gimmick. I believe in God and I believe that every human being on this planet dies when it's their time. Sadly it was Owen's time.

Think about it.

The coincidences:

Over the Edge - Owen went Over the Edge. Coincidence? I think not.
Ambulance - Vince didn't want Owen in the Ambulance because he wanted the ambulance for a segment later in the show.
Over the limit 2010 - was on the same date as Owen's death. Edge was on the PPV poster, Over The EDGE???
Coincidence? I think so. Haha but if you're really feeling that strong about it, how about you sue Vince for Staged Homicide? Damn..

On topic:

I was 6, didn't watch wrestling at the time, but I found out like everybody else did who watched it live, just several years later. I stream a lot of wrestling and I watched Over The Edge 99 and saw it and was shocked.

R.I.P Owen Hart

The only source for wrestling videos I knew at the time was Kazaa. So I read the news in the WWF website, I don't remember if it was Monday because I didn't knew RAW yet.But I was in shock because I watched WWF years before in a tv show which exhibited random matches(Later people told that it was WWF Superstars) featuring Bret,HBK,Owen,Diesel, etc.

So I was shocked and later Owen became one my favorites.

I'm sorry to say this ,but, Vince taking revenge on Owen sound ridiculous. As I see it, The Hart family had a reason for revenge, not Vince.

I was at a family party and we were just playing video games then one of my cousins just out of no where told all of us Owen Hart died. None of them were true fans like I was so I just sat there trying not to show my emotion. I was too young to really understand what happened and to this day; I still don't get it.
