I'v been going back and watching some nwa world wide wrestling from the 1980's and iv seen a lot, Magnum T.A on there, his feud with Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll, and a 30 minute match where he lost to Ric Flair.

My questions for anyone who was watching back then are, if it wasn't for his car accident in 1986, how would his career have gone, would he have taken the title from Flair somewhere down the line, would Flair still be a 16 world champion and how would he have been remember today

He would have been the babyface that Flair needed but didn't get until Sting. The landscape of MidSouth wrestling would have been quite a bit different. It was immediately apparent to everyone that when Magnum T.A. had his wreck and couldn't wrestle anymore, it was a huge loss for pro wrestling.

Crockett promotions were lining him up for a run with the belt. He probably would have been Flair's main rival through the late eighties and early nineties.

Another good question would be, would Sting have been able to take off like he did had Magnum continued?

I'm sure there was a similar thread a few weeks ago in which i said Magnum T.A would have been the top babyface post Dusty Rhodes and pre Sting and probably would have played second top babyface to Sting from mid 1990 onwards through to when he either left or retired. He was being groomed to take the NWA title from Ric Flair and be his main rival through the mid to late 80's and his feud with Tully Blanchard is criminally underrated and produced in my mind the best I Quit match after Flair/Funk in the match concepts history.
