What if heel Jake Roberts had stayed?

What would he have done? Who would have been his next victims? Ive often wondered what the company would have been like had the evil mastermind not taken off.

Re: What if heel Jake Roberts had stayed?

I think he would have been given a huge push as a heel throughout 1992. Once Savage won the belt I think Roberts would have been the #1 contender for the title.

He would have been really awesome. Too bad it didn't last long.

I accept rep.

Re: What if heel Jake Roberts had stayed?

I'd imagine Jake Roberts would have feuded with Bret Hart, The Undertaker again, Razor Ramon, Lex Luger, Curt Hennig and maybe even Randy Savage again as they were the top babyfaces in WWE up until Diesel turned babyface in late 1994 and Shawn Michaels in mid 1995. I guess if Jake Roberts was still around through until 1996 when he left again he would have feuded with both Shawn Michaels and Diesel once they turned babyface as well before moving into the booking role he longed for.

He could've feuded with Savage again for the WWF title, finished his feud with The Ultimate Warrior, and put over Bret Hart.

Re: What if heel Jake Roberts had stayed?

I think Jake Roberts could have been an excellent addition to the booking team. I read of how he left the company because he felt cheated out of the position when Pat Patterson retired and Vince made the decision to leave his spot open. The company lost a chance to usher in a new era for heels of the WWE.

That Tuesday in Texas post-match interview after he slapped Elizabeth is an absolute heel masterpiece.
