Re: Saturn

I think he was an awesome in ring performer. His run in ECW as one half of the eliminators was excellent and he was great in WCW especially when he was feuding with Raven and Chris Jericho. I think the thing that let Saturn down was his lack of a gimmick when he came to the WWF (Which I think was the WWF's fault because as with other talented wrestlers they have had on their roster in the past, they did fuck all with him)

Favourite 5 (Present Day) Punk, Jericho, D.Bryan (Yes!) Christian, Barrett,
Favourite 5 (All time) Stone Cold, Hitman, Taker, Sting, Angle

UFC Favourite 5 (Current) Machida, Hendo, Cain Velasquez, Rory MacDonald, Renan Barao
Favourite 5 MMA Legends Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Royce Gracie, BJ Penn, Don Frye

Connor Kenway FTW!

Re: Saturn

I loved him in the Eliminators. He went a bit crazy though. I saw a shoot interview where he basically said he ended up homeless because he was constantly off his tits. It's on youtube somewhere.

I know some people thought he'd died because no one could get hold of him and when John Kronus died, Saturn was nowhere to be seen. That's some crazy shit.

Good wrestler as well. I always though he put on good brawls and he did have some of the technical ability to take it with Storm, Malenko, Guererro and Jericho.

Will mark for Father Ted references.

Re: Saturn

He was absolutely terrible.

One of the worst 'superstars' of the attitude era.

Re: Saturn

Perry Saturn was awesome. I've always liked him, in ECW, WCW and WWF. He was a good agile and strong wrestler, who like you said looked believable in the ring with anything he did. Also check out The Eliminators vs The Dudleys from ECW's Barely Legal PPV, I thought that was a pretty sweet match aswell.

Re: Saturn

Yeah, Saturn was a talented wrestler but was more of a mid card guy than a main eventer.

Re: Saturn

I have a book called Wrestling Madness which was released in 1999, and it detailed Perry Saturn's career, and after reading i looked up some of his matches which i thought were stellar.

But i heard that when he "disappeared" he said that he actually became addicted to i don't know, but it would be awesome for him to come back as a wrestler full-time for the WWE.

Re: Saturn

Not very familiar with him but I absolutely love his submission move called The Ring of Saturn. Batista started using it before he quit under the name Batista Bite and I think it's an awesome and underrated submission hold that should be used more frequently by wrestlers.

Also, I'm glad to hear that he's recovering from whatever troubles he was dealing with in his life for the last few years.
