Often regarded to be one of the worst Manias of all time. But whats the best match from this card

Undertaker vs. Gonzalez because of it's larger than life feel to it, the entrance with the crow, Taker facing off for the first time in his career against someone who he had to look up too, it was surreal, the build from the Royal Rumble where it was the first time in his career where someone mandhandled him single handedly like that. Coming into the match fans didn't know what to think.

None of the matches really were stellar sloberknockers.

The whole card was absolutely dire. Easily the worst Wrestlemania ever IMO.

But if I had to choose, probably Bret v Yoko.

EDIT: Actually no, I have had a re-think and I didn't like the Hogan egotistical nausea inducing self glorification finish to the match. Therefore I am going to go with Luger v Perfect.

Choosing the best match of WrestleMania 9 in my mind is like asking which way you would like to die on death row as you know there is no good way to go about it but it would be a straight shoot between Shawn Michaels/Tatanka or The Steiners/The Headshrinkers with me leaning towards Shawn Michaels/Tatanka because of the storyline between Shawn Michaels and Sensational Sherri added to good chemistry between Shawn Michaels and Tatanka. I wouldn't like to add anything else to what i wrote because i've just had my dinner and am now feeling sick because i've just relived WrestleMania 9.

Shawn Michaels vs Tatanka was pretty decent until the ending. Shawn Michaels wasn't really on form during the spring and summer of 1993; maybe it was down to the opponents he'd been given to work with, but I always felt like this was his slump phase: his matches with Crush, Tatanka, Marty Jannetty and Mr. Perfect weren't up to the calibre that we'd come to expect from him. It wasn't until his feud with Razor Ramon that he started bringing his A-game. Either way, his match with Tatanka was chugging along at an alright pace until they pulled off that dreadful ending. If they wanted to end the match with HBK retaining while maintaining Tatanka's undefeated streak, they should've just booked a time limit draw (the match would only needed to have lasted about two more minutes).

The Steiner Brothers vs The Headshrinkers was a pretty good match. The Steiner Brothers were on fire when they first came to WWF, doing some really innovative wrestling. A lot of their moveset hadn't really been seen in a WWF ring before. I think that they should have faced Money Inc for the tag team titles at Wrestlemania IX instead, though.

The whole card was wrong. They should've booked Hogan to win the Royal Rumble and had Bret Hart retain the WWF against him; they should've given Ric Flair a proper send off and had him lose to Mr. Perfect at Wrestlemania in a Career Ending Match; Undertaker could've faced Randy Savage (who was doing fuck all and facing the biggest Wrestlemania drop off of all time); Shawn Michaels should've concluded his heated feud with Marty Jannetty; Steiners should have beaten Money Inc for the titles; Tatanka should have suffered his first WWF defeat to the newbie Lex Luger; Razor Ramon should have had a decent match at Wrestlemania against Bob Backlund. It would've been a much stronger card and a much better show.
