came here to mention X-Pac/Bret Hart match and a few Rockers matches cause I love tag team wrestling.

Oh and Clique, nice list, but I don't count 97' as New Gen already, I personally think it's entered the AE Era.

Steve Austin vs Marc Mero in the KOTR tourny was a pretty good match.

So is Marc Mero vs HHH for the IC title on RAW.

I think Mero was underrated. I remember he had a fairly decent match with Undertaker too (which was the first time Sable began showing some personality). He also had a somewhat decent match again Goldust at SummerSlam 96.

I always liked Owen vs Savio Vega at SummerSlam 96, it was a fairly good match.

The wild card Survivor Series match in 1995 was a good match too.

Ahmed Johnson vs Goldust for the IC strap at KOTR 96.

Ted DiBiase vs Razor Ramon SummerSlam 1993. DiBiase wasn't in his best shape but still good enough.

Ken Shamrock vs British Bulldog SummerSlam 1997

Undertaker vs Mankind Boiler Room Brawl SummerSlam 1996

Ahmed Johnson vs Faarooq Royal Rumble 1997

I'm trying to think of matches peope wouldn't mention. They might not blow your socks off but they are enjoyable underrated matches.

A true classic is Bulldog vs Owen for the European Title on RAW in 1997. That match is phenomenal.

Oh man I love that Austin/Mero match. The Austin/Savio Vega strap match is excellent as well.

The Bret/Owen match from WM 10 is a great match.

I honesty prefer the New Generation over the attitude era. Still had alot of campy characters but a ton of great wrestling. What wrestling should be all about good over the top fun.

I agree with you. I'd take the New Generation and Golden Era over anything else. 1995 was pretty rough, but 1993, 1994, and 1996 were pretty awesome. I used to think poorly of 1996, but re-watching now, the tag division was getting pretty good (heel Smoking Gunns) and Michaels had great mini-feuds the whole year.

Me too. There was certainly a lot of crap during the New Gen era but there were also some really incredible matches; when you have Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels as two of the top guys on the roster, you just know that match quality will take precedent.

96-97 are probably my favorite years. Loved the Attitude Era but it doesn't surpass 97 in particular in my mind.

Amazing some of the guys Bret Hart managed to get really good matches out of. Best there ever was indeed.

This thread is awesome. Giving a lot of these a rewatch.
