The knowing Punk personally thread, while turning into a joke thread, had a lot of great stories in it, here are some of my Punk stories that didn't make the cut:
1) He's my postman
2) I'm the caretaker for his swimming pool when he's on the road
3) He lives in my basement
4) I taught him everything he knows about wrestling
5) He was in my high school math class but he got kicked out for cheating off me.
Moral of the story: Everyone needs to laugh every once in a while.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
Vader and King Kong Bundy...great bad-ass heels, but had cups of coffee as faces and were just bad.
Vader first tried in WCW as a face, and again in WWF. It didn't work, it was like putting lipstick on a pig. Especially when Vader feuded with Kane...the old Vader would have ripped Kane to shreds.
Bundy had a short stint in Georgia Championship Wrestling as a face when he feuded with the Road Warriors way back in the early '80s. It just didn't do anything for me.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
Sting is ungodly bad as a heel. Granted, both his heel runs (in WCW and then in TNA) have been accompanied by horrendous Vince Russo writing, but still, he's no good at it.
One guy I never liked as a babyface who hasn't been mentioned is Curt Hennig. I mean yeah, he was always great, but he was just such a natural heel, Hennig as a face just felt wrong.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
Great thread OP, and interesting choices...
Jeff Jarrett was a solid face for the first half of his career, although he (like most IMO) is a much better heel.
I agree with a previous poster that a Million Dollar Man was not great in his brief manager face runs, and that gimmick is not one a face could run with. However when Ted Dibiase first started wrestling he was PWI's most popular wrestler one year I think (or a contender at least) he was very popular before donning a black glove in the Bill Watts promotion.
Some of the other guys mentioned like Sting, and Warrior well before they hit their stride I thought they were credible heels especially when they teamed together as the Blade Runners in Mid-South and Memphis.
To me the worst fail I can recall right now as a heel is Terry Taylor, of course being the Red Rooster did not help but even in WCW he was just too much of a nice guy to be a face. Another vote for Rey here as well.
As a face, it was really hard to cheer for X-Pac, he just had that chip on his shoulder thing going to well for him to really be loved, even when D-X was so over as faces it was hard to cheer for him.
Although I cannot recall him ever turning I would think Tito Santana would be hard to see as a heel.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
Edge was a really crap face and was involved in some dreadful storylines at the end of his career.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
I dont think HHH and Edge are right answers to this thread.
You're talking failed babyfaces, both HHH and edge are/were extremely over as faces and drew well with casuals, especially HHH. I guess individual opinion could be that they were far less entertaining as faces when compared to their damn good heel run. But to the casual fans these two were extremely over top babyface stars.

Re: Largest Heel-Face Differential
Taz couldn't be face in his ECW/WWF/Alliance days.
Rey Mysterio, as heel in WCW, when he unmasked. That just didn't look good.
Right now, I would say Great Khali, as face, but he's not classic.

Yeah i don't get why they jobbed Vader out.
Triple H as face and heel is the same its just face Triple H doesn't say UUH at the end of his words as much and it seems like face Triple H buries people in promos more than heel Triple H does.
Its night and day between heel and face Cena. Ones a over the top white rapper who wants to beat you in the nuts with his chain and the other is a goody goody fruity pebble who eats kung pow bitches.
Then you have heel Ken Shamrock who gets in the zone a lot more than face Shamrock does and is willing to drink stuff that kills his boner in order to win a match against an opponent who has a hot manager. See face Shamrock would never do that shit. He'd just beat the guy with his boner while screaming in the zone.
