Yeah, I never really recognized Stone Cold for his mic skills. Surprised he was #1 on this WWE list.

The WWE list is very byist, not to say he doesn't deserve it, but any lists the WWE make shouldn't be taken seriously.

No, he's easily one of the greatest and tied at the top with The Rock IMO. Also a big fan of Ric Flair and Jericho's mic skills.

Re: SCSA mic skills

Now we're questioning the mic skills of Steve Austin?

So Stone Cold does it for cheap pops, it's okay, he's GOAT.

Cena/Sheamus/Punk do it, all hell breaks loose. Why?

Re: SCSA mic skills

If there is anyone that is completely overrated on the mic is The Rock. It still baffles me how someone in their right state of mind can say The Rock is the greatest on the mic.

Is it really that baffling though? If you look at the way Rock delivers his promos and his relationship with a live audience whether he's a heel or face it is clear why many people believe he cuts the most engaging and effective promos of all time. You might not like his style or content but I don't think you have to ponder too much why so many wrestling fans hold his work in such high regard.

Much gratitude to

I totally understand what you're saying, but I was only talking about his mic skills. I wasn't talking about charisma, interaction with the crowd or presence, even though these ones can sometimes interfere and have an effect on mic skills. The only thing that I like about his work on the mic is his delivery, it is exceptional and very important too, but it isn't the only thing that matters as far as mic skills are concerned.

Re: SCSA mic skills

nah , Austin is Austin , there is a reason why this guy is considered one of if not the GOAT , and his promo skills were one of them

i personally think his best mic work was in WWF from 1996 and 1997 , when he was pissed off all the time , he had great one liners , in addition to his ECW promos , afterwards he was still good but really not great or as he was before
