Re: Classic Wrestling General Discussion & Review Thread

November 2nd 1998 episode of RAW was great. McMahon was absolutely hilarious and evil throughout the entire episode. Action packed throughout. It's around the time of Survivor Series and it's setting the stage perfectly for what was about the unfold. If you want to see what the attitude era is all about. Watch this damn episode.

S'ok. When WCW was great, WWF sucked. When WCW was on the decline, it was still better than WWF. Until 2000 happened. We can leave the memories alone. WCW was doomed during so much of their tenure, but managed to provide something to cling onto. I'll gladly accept that.

Re: Classic Wrestling General Discussion & Review Thread

who's bright idea was it to fued kidman with Hogan?

kidman was still an undercarder

is it because management wanted to pick the worst example of a young guy getting a well deserved push so that they can cornhole the idea as bad in a desperate attempt to silence the critics?

Re: Classic Wrestling General Discussion & Review Thread

It was done because Hogan had made the comment "Kidman couldnt headline a show at the flea market, brother" And Russo, being the internet savvy booker he was, decided to turn it into a real feud. People can complain about Hogan not putting Kidman over clean, but that was Russos booking and Kidman was like 125 lbs, him going over Hogan just would be dumb.

If I could redo the new blood, I wouldve had Hogan feud with Awesome from the start. On the first Nitro of that era, I would have had Russo and Bishoff say they hired a man to take out Hogan...enter Mike Awesome.

Re: Classic Wrestling General Discussion & Review Thread

At least they chose someone with talent. Who cares about his size. Could have been someone who didn't have much to show in their career like The Wall. That appeared to almost get off the ground in early 2000.
