Archived wrestling news

I've been getting all nostalgic tonight about The New Generation Era leading into The Attitude Era and wanted to see what sort of things and news was on wrestling sites/dirt sheets back between 1996 and 1998, for some reason that time frame really interests me but I can't find anything.

I know the Internet wasn't anywhere near what it is today or even by the late 90's but surely it can't be as hard to find as it seems, does anyone have any links or ideas, rep given to anything useful.

Re: Archived wrestling news

This site is excellent for chronological episodes & features all Raw match results

January 2 1996 - http://prowrestling.wikia.com/wiki/J...ht_RAW_results

As you'll see in the link page, there is a box describing the venue, dates then below has a link for the next week's Raw under Next Episode.

One website that is worth checking out:

http://archive.org/web/web.php

Go here and then you can go back to all the news sites, it won't have every date, but this site will typically let you click on the links and read the news.

The sites weren't professionally done always, and there was tons of rumors that never lead anywhere, but something was still interesting about all that stuff during that time. For me, the Monday Night wars was going on and the surprises were legit, you never knew what could happen. In today's times, you can pretty much spot any sort of "surprise" a mile away, it seems.

Not keeping it real in the streets
