Best No 1 & 2 entrants in Royal Rumble History

It's always interesting to see who No's 1 & 2 will be in the Royal Rumble. One year it was Finlay & Ric Flair, another year it was Ric Flair & Bob Backlund. Then in 1995 it was Shawn Michaels & British Bulldog.

There were years where it wasn't that good, when it was Scott Steiner & Samu. HHH and Duke Droese were 1 & 2 in 1996, in 1999 it was Mr. Mcmahon & Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The best IMO was 1989 when WWF Tag Team Champions Demolition Ax and Smash drew 1 & 2 and had to fight. This was the only time they faced each other in the WWF.

What other 1 & 2 draws did you like.

HBK and The Undertaker is the only logical answer here. no other two participants have ever had the star power of ether competitors.

Rey & Triple H for me, but mostly just because I was a big fan of the whole Mysterio underdog storyline. Yeah a lot of people crap on it, people say it was only because of Eddie dying that it happened, etc. And while I wouldn't really disagree with those people, that yeah Rey would have never won the belt if Eddie didn't die, I still enjoyed the whole story and was happy for Rey when he won the Rumble.

I'm old school. I loved that Demolition face-off in 1989. It really sold the significance of the event's "every man for themselves" concept and I loved how they both immediately went to taking out Andre when he got in.

Check out the trailer for my first feature film

Benoit and Orton in 2004 for me. Both guys went on to have tremendous performances in the Rumble match, which helped develop them as future main eventers. Benoit lasted the longest and eliminated the most, with Orton lasting the second longest and eliminating the second most.

Demolition in 89. I hope to see that again this year with The Usos.

I liked Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie in 1998 especially as Foley went on to enter the match two more times as Mankind and Dude Love .

And Austin and McMahon in 1999. I don't care how people felt about the 1999 Royal Rumble match, I don't care if it was all about Austin/McMahon and no one else was built up as a potential candidate to win the Rumble, I enjoyed the story between Austin and McMahon in the match.

In the '96 Rumble, HHH was #1 and Duke 'The Dumpster' Drosoe was #30 . I specifically remember because they had a match on the Free-For-All program before the PPV to determine their entrance number and HHH used brace knuckles to win but after the match Drosoe protested and the referees went back and watched the replay to see if HHH cheated and when they seen that he did cheat they reversed the decision and HHH got #1 instead and #30 went to Drosoe.

My favorite #1 & #2 has to be HBK and British Bulldog from the '95 Royal Rumble simply for the reason that both guys lasted the entire Rumble and ended up being the last two guys left with HBK stealing a victory away from Bulldog.
