The theme music was worth the price of admission.

The Vin man did!

It was beyond ridiculous! This must of been pushed on Russo wether he liked it or not.

It didn't make sense creating a character like this right in the mist of the Attitude Era.

Still to this day it baffles me lol

LOL I agree, this character was really not Attitude Era like.
The funny thing is that he debuted months before under his Lord persona

so I don't have any idea why they ignored it completely and billed the Real Man's man as his debut

The theme song is so good. The guitar solo is just beautiful.

Regal being a "Real Man's Man" could've worked if they portrayed him as some tough, blue collar guy from England that claimed he was a "harder man" than any American (comparable to Wade Barrett). Unfortunately they had him come out with the construction helmet and everything.

Yeah they wasted the GOAT theme song on him. Just a poor fit for a guy who already had a successful niche carved out.

It felt like a throwback to Vince's awful obsession with occupational gimmicks (IRS, Duke "The Dumpster," Sparky Plugg, etc.)

Exactly! Either of those incarnations of Regal fitted the theme of the WWF at the time.

I thought the same. It's almost as if Vince just couldn't accept that they were 100% "ATTITUDE" at this point and there's no going back now wether he liked it or not. I guess he was holding on and wouldn't let go.

It was for his own personal benefit and that's it.
