Default Cyndi Lauper's place in the WWF History

Am I The only one pissed off at the WWE over there treatment of her and what she gave to them? No Hall Of Fame induction no nothing when in fact if it wasn't for both her along with Captain Lou Albano or George Scott WrestleMania never would of been the success that it was.

not sure if your are trolling or not, but I do think she had a small part to do with it, but to say it took her and Capt Lou is a fallacy and a conclusion we cannot possibly jump to. It was not Lauper, Albano, or Richter who took it to another level. It was Hogan, Piper, and mainly; like it or not Mr. T.

I just feel that her place in the WWF's history gets over looked thats all.

The bottom line is she should of been the 1st celebrity inductee in the HOF.

She's super important. Anybody thinking otherwise is clueless.

Agreed, she's one of the few celebrities that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. The fact that Drew Carry is in the Hall of Fame and she's not is pure BS.

The fact that Drew Carry's in the WWE's HOF shows just what a joke it is.

I have never understood how anyone could take the WWE Hall of Fame to be credible or serious to begin with. All it is a glorified internal company employee of the month type concept with no neutral outside voters. In other words, if the WWE wanted to they could make a life long jobber a WWE Hall of Famer.

I agree that Hogan, Piper, and Mr. T is what took it to another level for sure. However, I do think that without Lauper the "War to settle the score" on MTV may not have happened, which is what set that everything up for Wrestlemania. She is certainly worthy of WWE HOF celebrity wing at least I would think.

I can't think of a celebrity much more important to WWE's history other than Mike Tyson or Mr. T (although maybe there is 1 or 2).

While you could argue LT or Floyd since they actually competed in matches, and may have contributed to a short term buyrate, I don't think either of those 2 did much for the long term for the success of the WWE.

I actually do agree. Her involvement is definitely understated today and that douche bag Cole making fun of her when she returned to RAW with Piper was awful.

Fact is, she brought in a lot of non-wrestling fans (specifically the MTV crowd) to watch Wrestlemania just because she was there and thus contributed to it's success in turn giving people like Michael Cole an opportunity to have the long broadcast career he's enjoyed.
