Re: 80's-90's Obscure Wrestler Challenge Game

OK, guys! I've been following this thread since its inception and have only gotten one answer correct. And that was only thanks to the fact that Sweet Daddy Siki had tremendous longevity and lasted from my day into the 1980s.

Now it's time for some payback with my TOP TEN MOST HATED HEELS OF THE 1960s!

In the early 1960s WRESTLING REVUE conducted nationwide polls to determine both the MOST POPULAR and MOST UNPOPULAR wrestlers in the game. Below are the names of the most infamous heels of the GOLDEN AGE. You have a double challenge. First, pick out the TOP TEN MOST HATED HEELS out of the list of 20 below. Secondly, place them in the order that the fans voted for them without looking them up on the internet or someplace else.

This Sunday I will post the actual list with the percentages of votes that each heel received. BTW, I am not making a separate thread, because I figure that the forum members participating in this thread are the ones most interested in wrestling history and would appreciate and get something out of this new "challenge game."

GOOD LUCK!

Mike

I won't make any comments so as not to influence the contestants. Depending on the response, I could announce the winner and post the actual poll results in the next day or two instead of on Sunday.

So far only two contestants. I will announce the official results tomorrow evening. There's still time to "name that heel!"

Surprised John Tolos isn't on the list.

Then you would have to include his brother Chris. For the most part they were looked upon as a tagteam - one unit, not individuals. Sort of like The Fabulous Kangaroos. At least, I looked at them that way.

But, you're right. They were notorious heels! And, a pretty damn good tag team combo!!

Re: 80's-90's Obscure Wrestler Challenge Game

Glad to see there's someone on here who's knowledgeable about the good ol' days. Ever been to the message board on kayfabe memories? Their message board has a lot of great knowledgeable fans from all territories.

I'm more of an expert on the 80s & early/mid-90s.

Re: 80's-90's Obscure Wrestler Challenge Game

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!

No, no it's not what you're thinking! Tonight I will post the list of the TOP TEN HEELS as voted on by readers of WRESTLING REVUE magazine back in the early 1960s.

I know that we have some knowledgeable wrestling historians on this forum. Come and take a shot! Pick out the TOP TEN HEELS from the list below and then try to put them in the order of their "unpopularity."
