Has anyone heard about the doomsday theory that robots might take over the world, becuase they will outsmart humans. It's like Terminator or I,Robot.

Octopi and Squids have the ability to learn things quickly, so truly if we weren't here, they would be in charge.

IF Squids develop and learn for a long time, they will probably evolve too, which will let them go on land probably, and since they will be learning, they can easily do many things. They won't take over though, as long as we're around there won't be any other animals taking over.

BD, they could have developed so much by now that they could have come up with a way to travel lightyears, its highly unlikely as you said to happen though, also the blackholes would fuck them over.

You cannot travel faster than the speed of light, though, unless fundamental Physics is incorrect. And as the universe is constantly expanding, something would have to travel unbelievably fast. Also, both the creature and device would need energy to travel that far. I suppose it is technically possible for a self-sufficient organism, but unless they were capable of existing in space (impossible due to pressure) they would need some kind of craft which ran on an unbelievably efficient energy system. Remember that fuel requires mass, and mass means you need more energy to move it.
