No no,I know that. You obviously have to make a statement and convince the readers that you know what you're talking about. But if you're asked to write a paper on a Sociologist or a Philosopher, there's nothing wrong with re-wording what they say with citations or directly quoting them.I've written a lot of research papers and those especially require a lot of citing.

Reason why Muta is usually shitted on is repetitive ring work.

Who cares about citing. Go to school to be some sort of scientist, make experiments, and quote your own work. Then you don't have to worry about it.

Incorrect, rewording what's stated in a document in still plagiarism even if you give credit.
You are supposed to rewrite the information that you've obtained applied to your current knowledge in the area of studied research and then give credit. I'm in the field of science, an area plagiarizing is all too common in. I find it shocking that people would even consider using Wikipedia as a source, if you cite it in your paper as a source, you can proclaim yourself as being academically suicidal.

My reason was more of an understatement. I was nice not having them around though.

I personally could care less if you plagiarize, but I fail to see the connection between cheating on a test, which I agree everyone has probably done, and copy and pasting something from yahoo answers to impress guys in a Japanese wrestling forum.
