He will do well against Hillary. The independent votes have been big for him in the republican presidential primaries. The only problem that he will face against either Hillary or Obama is that he is not a favorite person in the republican party. He really isn't a true conservative, so he will need to get the support from the conservatives to be effective in the presidential race. That could be his downfall, but he still has a good chance if he can get some support from the republican party and he can get the majority of the independent votes.

John McCain is an idiot. I am pretty much democrat anyways but his views are just idiotic. He is behind Bush on foreign policy and the economy. Obama made a great point today in Virginia about talking to the countries we like and also the ones who we don't get along with too well.
Obama for 08!! Change!

Exactly, I'm always saying, McCain may not be a true conservative, and some hate him, but he's LESS of a polarizing figure than Hilary, if he goes against, her, he's sure to win more Independents, it's the conservative vote he needs to worry about.

And it's interesting to see Huckabee pretty much tell everyone to screw themselves by staying in race even though he knows he has no shot. I'd say he's trying to get McCain to pick him as VP, but McCain will probably go for someone like Romney.

McCain hates Rommey, did you see those verbal fisticuffs during the debate? A lot of people seem to like Huckabee but McCain still took DC, Virginia, and Maryland tonight
As did Obama who has taken 8 states in just a weeks time. If he some how takes Texas he will have a nice lead in delegates

Re: I've never hated a presidential candidate more than.....
The speech Mr. Obama gave in Virginia probably helped him. His plan to give every graduating student a 4 ooo $ tuition (granted they do some community work in exchange for it) is a tremendous plan and it made me want to be American so I could (hopefully) vote for him if he gets nominated as the Democratic leader.
Like it's been said before, If McCain is to face Hillary, I'm afraid that Hillary would win because most people would vote on the Male V. Female debate and vote McCain in. With Obama facing McCain, I don't see McCain standing much of a chance against such a strong following. He might not be leading Hillary for now, but, I'm sure that as a Presidential Candidate, he'd fare much better. Either way, I just hope we world finally breaks some new ground in either electing the first ever Afro-American or Woman President.

I was saying that McCain would try to get someone like Romney, a person with an economic experience and a that conservatives would like. And if McCain had to take Romney or Huckabee to win the presidency, he would swallow his pride and stand beside them.
I think that Obama is supposed to win Wisconsin and Hawaii next week, and that's why Clinton ignored DC, Virginia, and Maryland tonight and went straight to Texas and Ohio.

If/When Obama wins the Democratic nod I'm going to laugh when the Democrats try to claim that the Republicans are being racist when they run their campaign against him doing the same thing Hillary is doing now and yet no one dares call her racist.
