Newbie = One who's new to the boards

nOOb = some stupid ass hair that just doesn't get it and will probably end up banned at some point.

I'm with ya on the fun meter. Back towards the begining, I could scan the boards for hours and never be bored. Now, I find myself hibernating in the arcade until something miraculous happens worth gettin involved in. But as far as posting goes. I do think (aside from the latest stint of penis threads...man am I gettin tired of sayin that) that more posters than not have been puttin in a decent effort. Maybe not in the WOW section, but most of'em only got one hand free at the time, so I don't expect a paragraph outta them.

The "before" that you know doesn't exist for most of the people here. Myself included, for a large part of it.

If that's aimed at me, I said it's better now than the point where I left for that 6 months, W-E was at a lower point then than it is now in my opinion. Jakem was gone, so were many other regulars. Plus GP was here. Ew. Everybody was burnt out on everyone else and just burnt out on W-E in general. It wasn't fun, it was just a total bitch fest.

One I can list is Jake_p53. Kid's not even 100 posts in and I've yet to see a shitty/nOOb-ish one yet. If he keeps it up he'll be a respected poster in no time. (Think he's only 14, but his maturity is far beyond that. Shows in his posts)

I could list another person fairly new to the boards, but his post count is only in the teens. That to me is too early to judge. So I'll refrain from listin' him.

Then there's DD. When I came back, I noticed he was a crucial poster in the music section. Since I'm a musician, that's my favorite part of the forums. So I gotta give credit to him.

But there's some bloomers out there that'll pick it up upon reading this thread. Pretty sure I'm safe in sayin that. Because before this thread was started, no one thought of it as the issue it is. This place has been around for quite some time. It's also one of the more fundamental sites in it's class. When ya post here, you should take pride in it. I know I do. Because to me, this is more than a place to argue and bitch. You learn shit in your stay. And there's some kickass people out there to get to know. I acctualy think of it more as a society than a forum. We're a group of many different walks of life, with different views and beliefs. And though some might piss ya off at times, without'em, you know your life would suck just a little bit more. And those who you appreciate knowin, you're glad you met.

That and there's always the WOW section. :jackin:
