There saying I don't stand a chance because her "friends" witnessed that I laid the first hit, what can I do to prove to the judge otherwise?

I got witnesses too but what would the judge believe then?

Like you said, all she had was a bloodied nose, no bad injuries.

I doubt any of this would even get to court let although stand up in it.

There is always a way to avoid a fight. It doesn't need to be a woman, it can be for both sexes and whatever race etc.

Woman beatings in particular i am really against but it works all round.

I agree, there is always a solution to a problem without being violent, however if I was constantly being pushed and smacked around I'd fight and defend myself as best as I could. Male, female it doesn't matter. I know this is different because I am a woman but a person should have a right to defend themselves if another person is violent against them.

Most people that bully are just looking for a fight or to assert dominance. If I punched a guy, I wouldn't blame him for fighting back (but then again I don't strike first). I'm not condoning a violent approach, but I wouldn't stand around and be beaten.
