D.O.C./Knux VS. Storm/Hardy 4.5/5 Stars - Nice Cage Match. I love how Storm and D.O.C. were duking it out on the top of the cage.

Roode VS. Bully Ray 4/5 Stars - Loved Bully Ray's use of his girlfriend Brooke against Roode. Roode, however, still pulls out the victory.

Jarrett VS. Angle 4.5/5 Stars - Brilliant display of Angle's injury and Jarrett as usual is up to no good, so it's only fitting that Jarrett is disqualified.

Show Rating: 4.25/5 Stars

Impact Wrestling News & Notes - Update on Kurt Angle, T.J. Perkins, & More

- The on again, off again appearances by Kurt Angle over the past few weeks as well as the current storyline of him being injured at the hands of Jeff Jarrett is related to the fact that Kurt has been experiencing several physical problems, even more than usual, as of late and management wants to try and keep him as fresh as possible so he will be able to finish out the planned "retirement tour".

- T.J. Perkins, who has been off T.V. for several weeks after being "kidnapped", is expected back fairly soon. When he took over as President, JR noted the huge success that WWE has had with selling Rey Mysterio merchandise over the years and he hoped to somewhat copy that success with a masked wrestler in Impact Wrestling. Seeing as how T.J. recently adopted a more Lucha Libre style mask and attire, he could be in for a big push upon his return.

- On this week's episode of Impact Online, Kenny King and Jay Bradley both were victorious in their matches and both advanced to the upcoming X Division battle royal. Eric Young and Jessie G. have already qualified.

- Last week's edition of Impact Wrestling managed to score a 1.2 rating this week, up from the previous two week's 0.9.

- Preview for the March 20th edition of Impact Wrestling...In last week's main event between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle, "The Icon" Sting once again interfered, attacking Kurt Angle, causing the match to end in disqualification, thus allowing Kurt's career to continue. How will Jeff Jarrett react to Sting's actions and more importantly, will he follow through with his threat of firing Sting and Kurt because of it?...Last week, Alex Shelley gave in to Chris Sabin's request for another shot at the T.V. but only after adding a little twist. Chris will have to beat four handpicked opponents over the next four weeks and if he loses, not only will the person who beats him get the shot instead, but Chris will also never get a shot at the T.V. title again as long as Alex is champion. Now this week Chris will face the first of four opponents...Bobby Roode picked up an important win last week against the world champion Bully Ray. Now this week he looks to continue that streak when he takes on someone who also got an important win last week, his former tag team partner and currently one half of the world tag team champions, James Storm.

Impact Wrestling
3/20/2014
The Asylum
Nashville, Tennessee

We open tonight’s Impact Wrestling broadcast with a quick look back at all of the matches that occurred last week. First up is James Storm and Jeff Hardy capturing the world tag team titles from D.O.C. & Knux, making a point to pick up on the tension growing between Gunner and his partners. Next up was Bobby Roode and his victory over Bully Ray. The vide recap finishes up with a long look at the ending to last week’s main event where “The Icon” Sting interfered, attacking Kurt Angle which resulted in Kurt getting the win via disqualification. The video focuses heavily on the question of why Sting did what he did and what does it mean for all of their futures.

Once the video finishes, the cameras transition to inside the Asylum where Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash welcome everyone to another exciting edition of Impact Wrestling. They begin to run down the card which includes Chris Sabin once again starting his journey to getting another T.V. title shot when he faces off against a challenger of Alex Shelley’s choosing and the main event of the evening featuring the former members of Beer Money going one on one when Bobby Roode takes on James Storm. Just as Mike and JB start to talk about Sting and his actions last week, they are interrupted by the music of “The King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett.

Dressed in street clothes, and already carrying a microphone, Jeff, along with his wife Karen, quickly make their way down the ramp and into the ring.

As everyone expected, Jeff starts off his tirade by saying how pissed off he is at Sting for not only interfering but also for allowing the sad career of Kurt Angle to continue. From the very beginning, Sting has stuck his nose where it don’t belong, constantly getting in the way. But that all ends tonight. Jeff says that he told both Sting and Kurt Angle that if there was any funny business or if he didn’t get his proper shot at Kurt there would be hell to pay. He warned both of them but they didn’t listen so it gives Jeff no choice but to say “Sting, Kurt Angle, you’re…”

Before Jeff can finish the “you’re fired”, he is interrupted by the music of Impact Wrestling President Jim Ross. The crowd erupts when they see JR coming out of the entrance tunnel, making an unscheduled appearance. JR wastes no time in making his way down the ring to confront the Jarretts.

JR says that although he does agree that Sting should not have interfered in the match last week, he also says that he can’t have his Vice President going around, threatening people and using his powers to get his way. So he’s decided that until Jeff can prove that he can handle both his in-ring career and the powers that come with being Impact Wrestling Vice President, and handle them fairly, he is removing Jeff from his position as Vice President and replacing him with someone who will be named later. Jeff immediately explodes in a tirade, saying how dare he do this and all that. He also demands that JR tell him who the new Vice President will be. JR looks at Jeff and says that if he wants to know, he’s going to have to prove that he can be a good boy and follow orders for the next few weeks, starting with a surprise match that JR’s booked him in. Oh, and that match is up next.

JR then walks off and out of the ring, leaving Jeff and Karen with a very concerned look on their faces. The camera soon transitions away.

Before the commercial break, Impact Wrestling cameras capture Chris Sabin in the backstage area, alone, apparently talking to himself. Although most of what he’s saying is hard to hear, what the cameras do capture is Sabin getting himself all pumped up for his upcoming match tonight, saying how he’s excited about potentially getting another T.V. title shot. The odd backstage segment ends when Chris turns his back and walks off.

Match #1: Jeff Jarrett w/ Karen Jarrett vs. ???

Coming back from commercial, we see the Jarretts still in the middle of the ring, awaiting Jeff’s opponent that JR has picked. Jeff, still mostly dressed in street clothes, does not look prepared at all as he stands and awaits his opponent. After several seconds of waiting, the identity of his opponent is finally revealed when “The Monster” Abyss’ theme music begins playing. Abyss, who had spent the last few months down in Mexico with AAA, makes his return to Impact Wrestling tonight to a great ovation from the crowd. Jeff is immediately stunned when he sees that Abyss is his opponent but manages to put his game face on when he comes face to face with him.

Jeff starts off the match by trying to sucker punch Abyss, basically knock him off his game but all he seems to do is just piss Abyss off. Despite Jeff pounding on him, Abyss doesn’t initially respond, rather he just sits and takes it for a while, letting Jeff build up some confidence. Eventually though the light switch turns on and Abyss unloads with a huge close line, knocking Jeff over and nearly out. Seeing her husband in distress, without thinking Karen Jarrett enters the ring and tries attacking Abyss. As you can guess her attacks do very little, they only serve to anger Abyss even more. Abyss grabs Karen and hits her with a huge Black Hole Slam. Hearing his wife hit the ring apron like she did makes Jeff spring to life. Jeff tries to cheat shot Abyss but Abyss sees it coming from a mile away and hits another Black Hole Slam on Jeff, following it up with a cover which quickly ends the match.

Winner: Abyss

A quick squash match by Abyss. Following the match Abyss spends a few seconds staring at the carnage he’s caused before exiting the ring. As he is walking up the entrance ramp the camera cuts away.

Going backstage, we see Impact Wrestling President Jim Ross getting ready to leave the Asylum when he is stopped by Bobby Roode.

Bobby stops JR just before he can leave. Visibly frustrated but still giving Bobby Roode time to speak, JR asks what he can do for him. Excited, Bobby asks him if he’s seen his match against Bully Ray last week and if so, what he thought of it. Was it impressive enough? JR tells Bobby that yes, he has seen the match but he has not had enough time to fully analyze it but from the little bit that he has seen, he definitely thinks Bobby is on the right track. That was all Bobby needed to hear. He thanks JR for his time, and with an even more satisfied look on his face, he walks away.

*Commercial*

Coming back from commercial, we see D.O.C. & Knux talking amongst themselves backstage when Gunner walks in.

Immediately when D.O.C. and Knux see Gunner they grab him and throw him up against the wall. As you would guess, they’re not too excited about having lost the tag team titles and that it was Gunner who got them into that mess in the first place. Not even allowing Gunner to speak, they tell him that he better come up with an idea on how to get the titles back and he better come up with it quick, otherwise there’s going to be serious hell to pay. D.O.C. and Knux then drop Gunner and walk away, leaving him to ponder how to get the titles back.

Match #2: Chris Sabin vs. ???

It is now time for match #2 of the evening and the first match on what will hopefully be Chris Sabin’s road to regaining the T.V. title. T.V. Champion Alex Shelley, who is already at ringside, handpicked Chris’ opponent tonight as well as all of Chris’ potential opponents over the next few weeks. First man out to the ring is obviously Chris Sabin, feeling pretty good about himself as he walks down the ramp and into the ring to await his opponent. He does not have to wait long before new theme music begins to play and out of the curtain steps Ultimate Tiger! Formerly Extreme Tiger in AAA, Ultimate Tiger received a tryout match in the past but this will be his first T.V. appearance for Impact Wrestling ever. It will be interesting to see how Chris Sabin responds to this new opponent.

Although there is a brief “feeling each other out” period, surprisingly the two opponents go at it a lot quicker than most would expect. Wanting to impress and continue on in his journey, Chris Sabin goes right after the luchador Ultimate Tiger and Ultimate Tiger, wanting to earn a shot at the T.V. title as well as a longer contract with Impact Wrestling, does the same. The match becomes very quick and high paced, with a lot of flips, dives, and quick strikes. The crowd, who naturally loves any match of this nature, gets behind both men and starts cheering very loud. Eventually the action spills out from inside the ring and out to the outside which the crowd loves even more. Neither man at this point has yet to gain any sort of advantage so it’s still anyone’s game at this point. The turning point in the match comes when Ultimate Tiger attempts a suicide dive from inside the ring to the outside and misses, hitting his shoulder pretty hard on the metal guard rail. From this point on Chris Sabin appears to have the upper hand. There are moments when Ultimate Tiger is able to fight through the pain but then there are moments where his shoulder appears to give out and he’s not able to fight anymore. Chris Sabin keeps the pressure on until Ultimate Tiger cannot seem to take it any longer. Chris Sabin gets him into position and hits his Cradle Shock finisher, immediately covering Ultimate Tiger for the 1, 2, 3!

Winner: Chris Sabin

Chris Sabin’s hopes for a shot at the T.V. title live to fight another day whereas Ultimate Tiger can only hang his head and live to fight another day. Chris Sabin finds Alex Shelley sitting at ringside and the two exchange a long stare down before the camera cuts away.

Before going to commercial, once again we see Bobby Roode backstage, this time preparing for his upcoming match against James Storm when in steps the world champion Bully Ray and his girlfriend Brooke Tessmacher.

Startled, Bobby jumps up but Bully assures him that he’s not here to fight. He’s come to congratulate Bobby on a hard fought victory last week and to wish him the best of luck in his upcoming match. Bobby, loving the admiration he’s getting, thanks Bully. Bully then does something unexpected. He says he’s feeling like another match. How about next week, Bobby finds a tag partner and Bully finds a tag partner and they face off once again in the main event. Bobby doesn’t even think twice about it, he says hell yes and the two shake hands. Bobby then excuses himself and walks out of the ring. The camera cuts away with a shot of Bully and Brooke looking at each other with smirks on their faces like they’re up to something.

*Commercial*

Match #3: Bobby Roode vs. James Storm

Coming back from commercial, it is main event time. An old rivalry renewed as former Beer Money tag team partners Bobby Roode and James Storm go one on one. Both men are riding high off both of their victories last week and look to keep the momentum going this week. First out to the ring is one half of the brand new Impact Wrestling Tag Team champions, James Storm. “The Cowboy” alongside Jeff Hardy beat D.O.C. and Knux last week to once again become tag team champion. Last but not least is “The IT Factor” Bobby Roode who picked up a victory against the world champion Bully Ray last week which he hoped earned him huge brownie points in the stakes of who will become new #1 contender. Bobby enters the ring, the two face off, the referee calls for the bell and the match can begin.

The last match between Chris Sabin and Ultimate Tiger was a high paced, high flying match without much physicality, well this match is the exact opposite. Although they have not been feuding against each other for a while, once they see each other the feelings come back for both Bobby and James and things explode. The two exchange violent punches back and forth to the point where it seems like one might end up getting knocked out. Lucky for James and Bobby as well the people watching, nobody gets knocked out but the physicality continues. Just like the previous match, this match ends up spilling onto the outside of the ring. The two begin using all of the objects on the outside to their disposal, including the steel steps, the guard rails, and even the ring posts. Despite this, neither man looks like they want to give up so the fight continues. The referee has all but given up on trying to contain the mayhem so now anything goes. The fight goes up the entrance ramp and then slowly down it again. Both men have been busted open at this point. Taking a page out of the original ECW, both Bobby and James start taking weapons that the crowd gives them and using them against each other. Beer is tossed in each other’s faces, chairs are used, signs are used, anything that the crowd wants to give them. One member of the audience ends up having a huge impact on the result of the match. As they are fighting close to the crowd, a man with his head and face covered by a hoodie stands up and nails James Storm in the back of the head with what appears to be brass knuckles. When the man stands up and takes off the hoodie, it is revealed to be Gunner! Bobby Roode, not wanting to waste any time, tosses the lifeless James Storm into the ring so he can finish him off. Bobby gets James in position and hits the Double R spine buster which he follows up with a pin attempt and the 1, 2, 3!

Winner: Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode picks up the victory as Gunner once again interferes in a James Storm match by knocking him out. Not acknowledging that he had any help at all, Bobby Roode starts jumping up and down in joy, happy that he’s earned another victory which he hopes will help him in the eyes of JR. Gunner remains in the crowd but not for long as Impact Wrestling medical personal and security come to check on James Storm. The show fades to black with Bobby Roode still celebrating and James Storm being attended to.

Impact Wrestling
3/27/2014
The Asylum
Nashville, Tennessee

Impact Wrestling opens this week not with the traditional look back at last week’s action but rather with a shot of Bobby Roode arriving at the Asylum carrying a briefcase.

When Bobby Roode is pressed about who he plans on picking tonight for his tag team partner, he does not say anything. When pressed about what the briefcase is for, he simply says “it’s to ensure a victory.” Bobby then walks off camera.

The show transitions to inside the Asylum where Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash welcome everyone to this live edition of Impact Wrestling. Mike and JB give the rundown of tonight’s planned card from another match in Chris Sabin’s chase to become #1 contender to the T.V. title again, to the huge tag team main event between Bully Ray and Bobby Roode and their mystery partners, to the gauntlet match that Jeff Jarrett has been put into, which apparently is starting right now.

Match #1: Jeff Jarrett w/ Karen Jarrett vs. ???, ???, & ??? – Gauntlet Match

Already standing in the ring dressed in his wrestling attire, Jeff is ready to go. His wife Karen is right there with him, prepping for his upcoming opponents.

Opponent #1: Robbie E.

Robbie E. runs right into the ring to try and catch Jeff Jarrett off guard but that does not happen. Feeling good, Jeff is ready for whatever Robbie E. tries to through at him. Robbie E. tries to resort to any method of cheating he can think of, from attempted low blows to attempted rakes of the eyes, nothing works. Jeff could very easily put away Robbie but chooses to show off instead, taking his time. Jeff backs Robbie into each corner of the ring, beating him down in the process before deciding he’s had enough. Jeff takes Robbie out with The Stroke. When the referee counts three, Jeff rolls Robbie out of the ring and awaits his next opponent.

Opponent #2: Rob Terry

It will be interesting to see if Jeff has as easy of a time with the much bigger Rob Terry as he did with Robbie E. Rob Terry enters the ring and Jeff immediately tries to take him out but the bigger Rob Terry stands firm, not budging an inch. Unleashing his anger, Rob Terry explodes on Jeff Jarrett, knocking him down to the ring apron with force. Karen Jarrett tries to enter the ring to save her husband but a stern look from Rob Terry stops her in her tracks. Rob picks up Jeff and starts tossing him around the ring like a rag doll. It only takes a couple minutes before Jeff is rendered near motionless by big Rob. Things aren’t looking too good for Jeff but it turns out he has a trick up his sleeve. Using Karen to distract the referee, Jeff Jarrett hits Rob Terry with a quick low blow which allows him to roll him up. At just the right time Karen releases the referee, he turns around and counts 1, 2, 3. Jeff moves on to opponent #3.

Opponent #3: Hernandez

After having just gone through a grueling match with big Rob Terry, the last person Jeff Jarrett was hoping to face would have been “Super Mex” Hernandez but here he is. Jeff staggers to his feet to face his opponent but you can tell he is in no shape to fight. Amazingly, Jeff does manage to fight back against Hernandez for a little bit but it’s just not enough. Eventually Hernandez takes control and does not give it back. Making sure he’s right where he wants him, Hernandez then gets Jeff Jarrett up and hits his finishing move, the Border Toss which he follows up with a pin attempt and the 1, 2, 3!

Winner: Hernandez

Another match and another week of Jeff Jarrett being left motionless as his opponent stand triumphal over him. Karen enters the ring to check on her husband as the show cuts to commercial.

*Commercial*

Coming back from commercial, we see Bobby Roode walking backstage, with the briefcase in hand. When he enters the locker room area we see both D.O.C. and Knux standing there.

D.O.C. and Knux immediately get defensive, asking what in the hell Bobby Roode is doing in their locker room. Bobby tells them to calm down, he comes in peace. As a matter of fact, he’s pretty sure they’re going to like what he has to offer. Bobby tells them that he has a tag team match coming up against Bully Ray. Both D.O.C. and Knux say that they know that, what does it have to do with them? Bobby then puts the briefcase down, and opens it up, revealing a large sum of cash. D.O.C.’s and Knux’s eyes get huge when they see the cash. Bobby says that it’s theirs if one of them agrees to be his tag team partner tonight. Not even giving it a moment’s thought, D.O.C. says he’ll do it. Bobby then shakes his hand, and walks out of the room, leaving D.O.C. and Knux alone with the money.

Match #2: Chris Sabin vs. ???

It is now time for match number two of the evening and the second match in Chris Sabin’s quest to once again get a shot at the T.V. title. Much like last week, current T.V. champion Alex Shelley is seated at ringside as Chris Sabin makes his way down to the ring. Feeling confident about this one, Chris doesn’t even seem to care at all who is opponent is going to be but that all changes when he finally sees who it is. Everyone’s surprised to see “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters step out of the entrance tunnel. Masters confidently makes his way down to the ring, all the while being stared down by Sabin. When he finally enters the ring, he gets right into Sabin’s face.

A clash of styles between two different wrestlers, with Chris Masters employing the more traditional ground and pound attack whereas Chris Sabin uses his high flying arsenal. Sabin takes the early lead, catching Masters off guard with his faster paced style. Eventually though Masters catches up and is able to slow Sabin down, wearing him out in the process. Sabin does not seem to see it but everyone else does that this is Masters’ plan, have Sabin wear himself out while applying pressure which will hopefully allow Masters to eventually sneak in and make Sabin tap out. The process of Sabin going fast paced and then Masters catching up to him goes on for quite some time before it starts to actually show any results. Little by little Sabin starts slowing down and Masters is able to wear him down more and more. Sabin eventually reaches the point where he is no longer even able to break out. It appears to only be a matter of time before Sabin succumbs to the Master Lock. To Sabin’s credit, he appears to have enough energy left to dodge Masters’ attempts at getting the Master Lock locked in. Try after try and Masters is still unable to get Sabin put away. The frustration in Masters’ face grows. Upset, he starts to get more and more wild with every failed attempt. The breakdown of discipline by Masters is just the kind of opening Sabin needs to potentially steal the victory. After another failed attempt by Masters, Sabin manages to muster up enough strength to counter out, and get Masters up on his shoulders. Struggling, Sabin gets a sudden burst of energy, enough to hit a finishing move of his, the Cradle Shock which immediately follows up with a pin attempt and the 1, 2, 3!

Winner: Chris Sabin

A hard fought victory by Chris Sabin but a victory nonetheless. Exhausted from the match, Sabin isn’t even able to stand up. In a good show of sportsmanship, Alex Shelley enters the ring and offers to help his former tag team partner up. Sabin isn’t too sure at first but he’s so tired at this point that he doesn’t care. The two former Motor City Machine Gun partners walk to the back as we go to commercial.

*Commercial*

Coming back from commercial, Impact Wrestling transitions right to the backstage interview area where Taryn Terrell is standing by with Gunner.

Gunner thanks Taryn Terrell for her letting him have this time to talk. He said he was finally going to come face to face with his former tag team partner James Storm and he’s here to make good on that promise. He motions off camera and James Storm walks in, followed closely behind by Jeff Hardy. Gunner is initially caught off guard by the presence of Hardy but he doesn’t seem to mind too much. Storm starts off the conversation by asking why he’s been called here. Gunner says he attacked him last week because he needed to get his attention, that he had a proposition for him. Storm asks what it is and Gunner says that if Storm and Hardy are willing to give D.O.C. and Knux another shot at the world tag team titles come April 24th, he will give Storm his long awaited one on one shot against him next week. Surprised, Storm turns to Hardy and asks him what he thinks he should do. Hardy says go for it so Storm agrees. The two former partners shake hands and the two matches are set. Everyone then calmly walks off camera as the show moves on.

Match #3: Bobby Roode & D.O.C. vs. Bully Ray w/ Brooke Tessmacher & ???

It is now main event time, a tag team match between the team of Bobby Roode & D.O.C. and the team of Bully Ray and a still to be named partner. Bobby Roode and D.O.C. are the first two out to the ring. Neither of them seem like they’re on the same page but they make their way down the ramp anyway and enter the ring to await their opponents.

Bobby Roode gets on the mic and immediately calls out Bully Ray. When Bully Ray’s music hits and he and his girlfriend Brooke make their way out of the entrance tunnel, Bobby starts taunting him saying that he’s found the biggest and baddest possible tag team partner available and there’s no way that he could possibly top it. Bully Ray starts laughing. Not amused, Bobby demands to know what he’s laughing about. Bully simply points to inside the ring where Austin Aries is standing directly behind Roode and D.O.C., waiting to strike. When both men turn around, Aries unloads and the match begins.

Aries starts pounding on both Roode and D.O.C. while Bully Ray quickly makes his way down to the ring to join in. The referee struggles to maintain order as all four men square off against each other. Eventually though the referee does manage to gain order and send two men to their respective corners and the match starts to resemble an actual tag team match. Initially the team of D.O.C. and Bobby Roode have the upper hand as D.O.C. does most of the heavy lifting, leaving Bobby to sneak and get some cheap shots in before retreating and letting D.O.C. do all the work again. As the match goes on however this strategy on the part of Bobby Roode does not last. D.O.C. starts to get tired and worn out but when he turns to Bobby to start doing most of the work, Bobby continues to do very little. On the other side of the aisle, Bully Ray and Austin Aries have managed to work together quite well, tagging each other in and out, leaving each man as fresh as possible. Bully and Aries start to play off the growing tension between D.O.C. and Bobby Roode by keeping D.O.C. as far away from Bobby as possible. Even when D.O.C. does manage to get close to Bobby, he doesn’t give him much time to rest anyway. Eventually D.O.C. gets fed up, after being refused a tag in attempt by Bobby Roode, he simply throws his hands up in the air and walks out of the ring, leaving Bobby to fend for himself. Stunned, Bobby doesn’t know what to do other than try to fight back which turns out to be a huge failure. The instant chemistry between Bully Ray and Austin Aries helps them to quickly overwhelm Roode. With Roode down, the crowd begins chanting “we want tables!” which Bully and Aries are happy to fulfill. Aries grabs a table from under the ring and tosses it inside. Bully Ray then sets it up as Austin Aries gets Bobby into position. Once the table is set up it’s time to end it. With the help of Aries, Bully sends Bobby crashing through the table via a 3D. Bully Ray then allows Aries the honor of covering Bobby as the referee counts 1, 2, 3!

Winners: Austin Aries & Bully Ray

Brooke Tessmacher enters the ring to celebrate with her man as the referee raises both Aries and Bully’s hand in victory. What does this loss mean for Bobby’s chances at becoming #1 contender and does this mean Austin Aries is now in the running as well. Those questions will have to be answered next week as the show fades to black with a shot of Bully, Brooke, and Aries exiting the ring.

Impact Wrestling News & Notes - Two Wrestlers Released, Two Wrestlers Signed, & More

- As of April 1st 2014, Impact Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kazarian and Rob Terry.

- The release of Kazarian took no one by surprise. His contract had expired and the two sides were trying to work out a last minute deal but couldn't get one finalized. The release of Rob Terry was a little bit surprising considering he had just wrestled as part of the three man gauntlet match against Jeff Jarrett last week. Many thought he would have been a good candidate to end up in OVW but it's now being said that he was just not impressing the new management at all so the decision was made to let him go.

- Impact Wrestling moved quickly to fill the holes on the roster created by the releases of Kazarian and Rob Terry by signing both Ultimate Tiger and Chris Masters. Both had competed against Chris Sabin recently and were said to have impressed officials enough to earn contracts.

- This week on Impact Online, T.J. Perkins and Ultimate Tiger advanced to the X Division Championship Battle Royal on April 24th. They join Kenny King, Jay Bradley, Jessie G., and Eric Young who have already qualified. The final two slots in the battle royal will be filled on April 12th.

- Impact Wrestling finished this week once again strong in the ratings department, earning a 1.1 rating.

- Preview for the April 3rd edition of Impact Wrestling...As condition for D.O.C. and Knux earning another shot at the tag team titles come April 24th, Gunner agreed to face his former partner James Storm one on one this week. What will James Storm do now that he has his former tag team partner right in front of him?...Throwing a potential monkey wrench into Chris Sabin's quest to earn another shot at the T.V. title, Impact Wrestling President Jim Ross booked T.V. champion Alex Shelley in a title match against the returning Magnus this week. Can Shelley retain and what does it mean to Sabin's chances if he can't?...Austin Aries shocked Bobby Roode by returning and teaming up with Bully Ray to defeat him in the main event last week. Now this week in the main event, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode once again go one and one in what will most likely be Bobby Roode's last chance to impress president JR and be named #1 contender to the world title...Also, what task will Jeff Jarrett be given this week as he looks to prove he can follow orders and learn who has taken his place as Vice President?
