TNA iMPACT! - December 31st, 2005; Orlando, Florida

"Final Resolution is gonna be one of, if not THE greatest night in the history of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling!"

THIS IS TNA, THE NEW FACE OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING...

The opening video plays and the camera cuts to the iMPACT! Zone, as the pyro goes off and the camera pans the crowd who are chanting "TNA!".

Mike Tenay: Tonight on iMPACT!, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels square off to determine who will challenge Samoa Joe for the X Division Championship at Final Resolution!! Plus, the Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament begins, and 'The Monster' Abyss and The James Gang are in action!! iMPACT! on Spike TV starts NOW!!

***SIMON SAYS*** The Diamonds In The Rough make their way out, getting heat from the crowd. Simon Diamond, David Young and Elix Skipper all pose on the stage before making their way down the ramp, Diamond staying outside as Skipper and Young enter the ring.

***NATURAL*** The Naturals walk out to cheers from the crowd. With their emotions undoubtedly running high going into this match, in a tournament dedicated to their late former manager, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens walk down the ramp, high-fiving some fans, and enter the ring, posing for the crowd on the second rope in opposite corners of the ring.

1 - Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament; Quarter-Final:
The Diamonds In The Rough w/Simon Diamond
vs. The Naturals

Chase Stevens and Elix Skipper get us started. Skipper and Stevens lock up, and Skipper grabs Stevens' arm, wrenching it around. Stevens rolls forward before kipping back up, turning the tables on Elix by applying a hammerlock. Skipper twists his body around and applies a standing headlock. Stevens pushes Skipper away into the ropes, and when he comes back Stevens bends over, looking to go for a back body drop. Skipper sunset flips over Stevens and lands on his feet, before running off the ropes. Skipper comes back and gets hit with a dropkick to the legs by Stevens, causing Skipper to fall face-first to the mat.

Stevens heads to the corner, tagging Andy Douglas in. Douglas enters the ring and immediately goes for a running senton onto Skipper's back, but the veteran rolls out of the way. Both men get back to their feet and Skipper delivers a knee to the mid-section of Douglas. Skipper hits Douglas with some chops, before Irish whipping him into the ropes. Douglas comes back off the ropes, and Skipper scoops him up, BUT DOUGLAS COUNTERS IT INTO A TILT-A-WHIRL HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN!! Skipper is sent into the corner where David Young is stood by that headscissors, and Skipper tags Young in.

Young enters the ring and runs at Douglas, throwing a right hand, but Douglas blocks it and kicks him in the mid-section. Douglas runs off the ropes and goes for a swinging neckbreaker, but Young slips out of it. Young moves behind Douglas, lifts him up and plants him on the mat with a back suplex. Young gets back to his feet, runs off the ropes and hits Douglas with a knee drop. Young makes the cover, the first pin attempt of the match:

1...

2...

Douglas kicks out. Young gets Douglas back to his feet and takes him to the corner, tagging Skipper back in. Skipper jumps over the ropes and into the ring, as Young Irish whips Douglas into the ropes. Douglas comes back, and Young hits him with a clothesline, as Skipper simultaneously sweeps Douglas' legs with a kick!! Skipper then jumps onto the middle rope, before jumping back off, twisting through the air and hitting Douglas with a leg drop. Skipper makes the cover:

1...

2...

Stevens enters the ring and breaks up the pin! Skipper gets Douglas to his feet and Irish whips him into the corner of the ring. Skipper runs forward, cartwheeling before going for a back elbow, but Douglas moves out of the way, as Elix falls into the corner. Douglas then charges forward, hitting Skipper with a running spear to the mid-section in the corner!! Skipper stumbles into the middle of the ring, as Douglas runs off the ropes, coming back and hitting Skipper with a leg lariat!! Both men begin to make their way back to their respective corners. Skipper tags Young back in, and a moment later Douglas tags Stevens in.

Stevens enters the ring and he and Young run at each other. Stevens slides through Young's legs, before rolling him up with a schoolboy. Young rolls backwards out of the pin attempt before he and Stevens get back to their feet, and Stevens kicks Young in the mid-section, before applying a hammerlock and then hitting him with a hammerlock DDT!! Douglas enters the ring and sprints to the other side, taking Skipper off the ring apron with a spinning wheel kick!! Meanwhile, Stevens gets Young to his feet for Douglas, who puts his head in between his legs. Douglas lifts Young up in a powerbomb position as Stevens climbs to the top rope, AND THEY HIT YOUNG WITH CANDIDO'S WAY!! Stevens makes the cover:

1...

2...

3!!

Winners - The Naturals @ 4:08.

Douglas gets to his feet and he and Stevens have their hands raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd before embracing, having advanced to the semi-finals.

Mike Tenay: They did it!! In the number-one contenders' tournament dedicated to their late former manager, Chris Candido, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens get the victory, with that powerbomb-missile dropkick combination, which they call Candido's Way!!

Don West: What a great moment for The Naturals, Mike, this tournament obviously means a lot to them, and they've certainly got the fans on their side!! I think they're gonna win the whole thing!!

Elated with their victory, Douglas and Stevens leave the ring, high-fiving fans on their way back up the ramp as Diamond enters the ring, standing alongside Skipper and shaking his head at Young.

***DOWN IN THE CATACOMBS***

Abyss walks out, accompanied by James Mitchell, getting heat from the crowd. Mitchell leads Abyss down the ramp and into the ring. Mitchell stays outside as Abyss stands opposite his opponent, Cassidy Riley.

2 - Abyss vs. Cassidy Riley

The bell ringing is probably the last thing Cassidy Riley wants to hear, and as soon as it does, he slides out of the ring. Abyss follows him, exiting the ring, but as soon as he does, Riley gets back in the ring. Abyss gets back in as well, but before he can get back up Riley bombards him with kicks.

However, Abyss completely no-sells Riley's offense, reaching up, grabbing Riley by the throat and throwing him backwards! Abyss gets back up, as does Riley. Riley dares Abyss to come after him, and when Abyss charges forward to go for a clothesline, Riley ducks it.

Abyss turns around, and Riley hits him with a dropkick, but Riley is the only one to go down, as it has no effect on Abyss. Riley gets back up and keeps taking the fight to Abyss, running off the ropes and towards Abyss, but The Monster lays Riley out with a big boot!

Abyss grabs Riley's arm, pulling him up to his feet. As soon as Riley is back up, Abyss pulls him in, and nails Riley with the Black Hole Slam!! Abyss makes the cover: 1... 2... 3!!

Winner - Abyss @ 1:10.

Abyss gets to his feet and is congratulated by Mitchell.

Mike Tenay: An impressive victory for 'The Monster' Abyss, who is back to his winning ways.

A beaming Mitchell looks at the camera, exclaiming "That's for anybody who forgot what 'The Monster' Abyss was all about! Click, DOOMSDAY!" as he escorts Abyss out of the ring and to the back.

Numerous wrestlers and personalities are being questioned about Sting coming to TNA.

Chris Sabin: I'm incredibly excited about Sting coming to TNA, a lot of guys in that locker room, like myself, grew up watching Sting, so it's a big deal.

Monty Brown: Sting's not gonna be around for long, 'cause 'The Alpha Male' Monty Brown is gonna send the Stinger right back through that door with the POOOOUUUUNCE! Period!

Mike Tenay: I think you're gonna see a lot of the wrestlers in TNA raising their game now, because you've got a living legend in Sting coming into that locker room, and you just know that the great young athletes we've got here will want to earn Sting's respect.

Jeff Jarrett: Sting can kiss my ass.

AJ Styles: Everybody knows that Sting is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and he's gonna do great things for TNA, no doubt about it.

Rhino: 2006 is gonna be a big year for this company.

Christian Cage: Two words: it's showtime.

*Backstage - Interview Area*

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is stood with Raven.

Jeremy Borash: I'm here with Raven, and Raven, a lot of people have been talking about your match at Final Resolution, and who your opponent will be. Director of Authority Larry Zbyszko has stated that, unlike at Genesis and Turning Point, it will not be someone from your past. How are you preparing for Final Resolution?

Raven: That's an interesting question, Jeremy. The thing is, I can't prepare for somebody I don't know, and that's what Larry Zbyszko wants. But Jeremy, I don't know how well you know our Director of Authority, but Larry Zbyszko isn't a smart man. I've done this twice before. I beat PJ Polaco at Genesis, I beat Chris K at Turning Point, and whoever Zbyszko's picked off his little conveyor belt of stooges to face me at Final Resolution, I will do it all over again, and once again I will make Larry Zbyszko eat his words. Quoth the Raven, nevermore.

Raven walks out of the shot to more cheers from the crowd.

*Back To Ringside*

***NOBODY MOVES***
Cheers greet The James Gang as walk out. BG James and Kip James pose on the stage before walking down the ramp, high-fiving some fans as they make their way to the ring, where Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett are waiting.

3 - Buck Quartermain & Lex Lovett vs. The James Gang

BG James and Quartermain kick off the match. They go to lock up, but Quartermain has other ideas, kicking BG in the mid-section. Quartermain hits BG with a clubbing blow to the back, knocking him down to the mat, before hitting him with some stomps to the back. Quartermain sits BG up and applies a headlock. BG makes it back to his feet and hits him with some elbows to the mid-section until Buck relinquishes the hold. Quartermain regains the advantage with a knee to the mid-section, before running off the ropes, but when he comes back BG hits him with a hip toss. Quartermain gets back to his feet and BG kicks him in the mid-section, before applying a front facelock, lifting him up and hitting him with a suplex. BG makes the cover:

1...

2...

Quartermain kicks out. BG gets him back to his feet and takes him to the corner of the ring where Kip is stood. BG tags Kip into the match and he steps into the ring, hitting Quartermain with a chop so fierce it knocks him down to the mat. Kip gets Quartermain back to his feet and Irish whips him into the ropes. Quartermain comes back and Kip scoops him up, but Buck slips off his shoulders and lands on his feet behind him. Kip turns around and Quartermain scoops him up, planting Kip on the mat with a scoop slam of his own. Quartermain heads to the corner and tags Lovett into the match.

Lovett enters the ring and immediately hits Kip with an elbow drop. Lovett sits Kip up and applies a sleeper hold. Kip waves his arms around as the crowd get behind him, chanting his name. Kip makes it back to his feet, at which point Lovett jumps on his back, grapevining his legs around Kip's waist. Kip runs backwards into the turnbuckles in the corner, causing Lovett to lose his grip. Kip walks into the corner, dusting himself off, when Lovett runs forward, BUT KIPS SCOOPS LOVETT UP AND HITS HIM WITH A TILT-A-WHIRL BACKBREAKER!!

Quartermain suddenly enters the ring and runs at Kip, but Kip grabs him by the head and throws him over the top rope and out of the ring!! Meanwhile, Kip tags BG into the match. BG enters the ring and gets Lovett to his feet, placing his head in between his legs. BG lifts Lovett up by his legs... AND BG AND KIP HIT LOVETT WITH A SPIKE PILEDRIVER!! BG makes the cover:

1...

2...

3!!

Winners - The James Gang @ 2:08.

Kip gets to his feet, and he and BG have their hands raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: The James Gang have their former ally Konnan to worry about, but as for tonight they get the victory!!

The James Gang continue to celebrate their victory...

...UNTIL KONNAN WALKS OUT ONTO THE STAGE!!

Don West: What the hell is he doing out here?!

The James Gang dare Konnan to come to the ring, but he simply crosses his arms with a smirk on his face. While BG and Kip stare down Konnan...

TWO MEN CLIMB OVER THE GUARDRAIL AND ENTER THE RING, ATTACKING THE JAMES GANG!!

Don West: WHAT THE HELL?!

Mike Tenay: THE JAMES GANG ARE BEING ATTACKED BY TWO- TWO OUTSIDERS!!

Don West: I might be wrong, Mike, but I think one of them's Homicide, from Ring of Honor!!

Mike Tenay: I think you're right, Don!! And that other individual, it- it looks like Hernandez, who was here in TNA for a short time a few years ago!! But what the hell are they doing here?! Are they working with Konnan?!

HERNANDEZ and HOMICIDE continue to assault BG and Kip, hitting them with stomps while they're on the floor.

Don West: Where's Ron Killings to stop this?! Does he want to stop this?!

Homicide lifts Kip James up to his feet, gets him in position, lifts him up, and... BAM!!

HOMICIDE NAILS KIP JAMES WITH A GRINGO KILLA!!

Mike Tenay: Oh come on, you've made your point already!!

Kip rolls towards the corner of the ring in pain, as Homicide turns his attention back to BG James. He lifts BG to his feet and tells Hernandez to "take him out". Hernandez lifts BG over the back of his shoulders by his arms...

...AND PLANTS BG JAMES ON THE MAT WITH A BORDER TOSS!!

The crowd boo as Konnan comes down to the ring and hugs both men, before taking a microphone.

Konnan: Ron Killings! Wherever you're at esse, you gotta pick a side! Final Resolution... we want your answer. Are you a friend of The Latin American Exchange... or an enemy?

Konnan drops the microphone and he leaves the ring with Hernandez and Homicide, as the newly-formed Latin American Exchange depart.

Mike Tenay: Well it sounds like Ron Killings hasn't chosen a side just yet, but maybe the fact that he didn't come to the aid of The James Gang tells us that he's already picked a side, Don!

Don West: That could well be the case, Mike.

Mike Tenay: What we know for sure is that Konnan has found new allies, and it looks like The Latin American Exchange are here to stay in Total Nonstop Action.

***TAKE OVER***

The crowd go wild as Christian's Coalition, Christian Cage, Rhino and Team 3D walk out.

Mike Tenay: Here come four men, dubbed as 'Christian's Coalition', who will all be in action on January 15th at Final Resolution, 'The War Machine' Rhino facing 'The Alpha Male' Monty Brown, Team 3D challenging America's Most Wanted for the NWA World Tag Team Championships...

Don West: ... and of course, 'Captain Charisma' Christian Cage facing Jeff Jarrett for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship!!

The four men make their way down to the ring, all taking microphones.

Christian Cage: I'm gonna take a moment to conduct a poll with all my peeps in the iMPACT! Zone tonight.

~ The 'peeps' cheer, making themselves heard to Cage.

Christian Cage: Who's excited for Final Resolution?

~ Huge pop from the crowd.

Christian Cage: That's what I thought. Well y'know what, we are too. Because on January 15th, you've got 'The War Machine' Rhino...

~ Cheers for Rhino, who nods his head in approval.

Christian Cage: ... facing the man who... well, just hasn't accomplished as much as the other guys in Planet Jarrett, (Laughter from crowd) 'The Alpha Male' Monty Brown...

~ Heat for Brown.

Christian Cage: You've got arguably the greatest tag team of all time, Team 3D...

~ Big pop for Team 3D.

Christian Cage: ... Brother Ray and Brother Devon, the guys that are gonna kick Chris Harris and James Storm's asses, just like at Turning Point, and become your NEW NWA World Tag Team Champions!!

~ Cheers from the crowd, who begin to chant "Team 3D!"

Christian Cage: ... Am I forgetting anybody?

~ The crowd cheer, starting a chant of "Christian Cage!"

Christian Cage: Oh, that's right. Team 3D aren't the only new champs we're crowning at Final Resolution, because you're looking at the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion, The President of the Peeps, The Instant Classic, Captain Charisma, CHRISTIAN CAGE!!

~ Huge pop for Christian.

Christian Cage: And then to top it all off... one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, 'The Icon' STING, is gonna be right here, in the iMPACT! Zone, on January 15th!!

~ The crowd go wild, chanting "Sting!" momentarily.

Christian Cage: So you get the gist of it. Long story short, Final Resolution is gonna be one of, if not THE greatest night in the history of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling!!

~ More cheers from the crowd.

Christian Cage: So-

***MY WORLD***

Christian is cut off by the all-too familiar music of our NWA World Heavyweight Champion, as JEFF JARRETT walks out with AMERICA'S MOST WANTED, GAIL KIM and MONTY BROWN, getting huge heat from the crowd.

Don West: Nobody knows how to suck the positive energy out of the iMPACT! Zone quite like Jeff Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett: Alright, Christian, you're done, thanks for comin', but now it's time for the champs to speak.

~ Boos from the crowd.

Rhino: Champs? Well that's funny, Jeff, 'cause I don't see Monty Brown holding a title over his shoulder. Hell, Monty, you've never even won a title here!!

~ Cheers from the crowd. Brown shakes his head in disgust, looking ready to run down to the ring, but he is calmed down by AMW.

Monty Brown: Who the hell are you to talk about titles, Rhino?! I can't see a single championship belt in that ring right now, 'cause the fact of the matter is, boys, Planet Jarrett has all the gold, and it's gonna stay that way come Final Resolution!!

~ Heat for Jarrett, as Storm steps forward.

James Storm: You're damn right. Team 3D, Chris and I would like to offer our overdue congratulations on puttin' us through some tables at Turning Point. But bottom line, fellas, there ain't no way in hell y'all are gonna take these NWA World Tag Team Championships from America's Most Wanted by outwrestlin' us!!

~ The rest of Planet Jarrett nod their heads in agreement.

Christian Cage: Alright, enough of the crap. If you're as great as you say you and Chris Harris are, James, and if you think that you can walk out of Final Resolution with those tag team titles... then how about right here, next week, on the first iMPACT! of 2006, you face me and Rhino?

~ HUGE pop from the crowd! Harris and Storm look at each other, smirking.

Chris Harris: That's one hell of an idea, Christian, but c'mon. Do you really think it's a good idea for you, the new golden boy of TNA, and Rhino, with so little time before Final Resolution... to step into the ring with the greatest tag team of all time?

~ Boos from the crowd.

Brother Ray: Y'know what, Chris, me and Devon think it's one hell of an idea too, my only concern is whether you and James Storm are gonna make it to Final Resolution in one piece after Christian and Rhino are done whoopin' your asses next week?

~ Big pop from the crowd, as Devon nods with a grin on his face.

Brother Ray: 'Cause if not, then you can hand those NWA World Tag Team Titles over to me and Devon right now to save yourselves the embarrassment!!

~ More cheers from the crowd.

Chris Harris: That's real cute, Brother Ray, but I think we can all agree that you will never be able to touch these titles.

~ Boos from the crowd.

James Storm: As for you two boys, Christian and Rhino... we accept your challenge!!

~ Big pop, as Cage and Rhino look very satisfied.

Christian Cage: I guess we'll see you next week. But I'll go ahead say this now instead of waiting for after our match... sorry... about YOUR... damn luck!

Cage's music hits to cheers from the crowd and they have a staredown with Planet Jarrett, until Jarrett leaves, with the rest of the group following him.

Mike Tenay: Well we've got a HUGE main event for next week! The first iMPACT! of 2006 on Spike TV, it's gonna be Christian Cage and Rhino versus the NWA World Tag Team Champions, America's Most Wanted!!

Don West: Man, talk about star-studded, Mike!! I can't wait!!

*Backstage - Interview Area*

Jeremy Borash is backstage with AJ Styles.

Jeremy Borash: I'm here with 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles, who up next in our iMPACT! main event will face his old nemesis, 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels, with the winner facing Samoa Joe for the X Division Championship at Final Resolution. AJ, what are your thoughts going into this match?

AJ Styles: Christopher Daniels... I haven't thanked ya' yet for what you did at Turning Point. Whether you were lookin' out for my best interests or tryin' to get one over on Samoa Joe, either way I don't care, 'cause if it weren't for you I'd be sittin' on my ass at home right now, just like you were for a month. So thank you. But tonight, it ain't about that, JB. It's about two of the best wrestlers in this company havin' another match for the ages, to see who's the better man, who wants it more, who deserves... to face Samoa Joe at Final Resolution!! I can't see into the future, JB, but... I think the better man tonight might just be AJ Styles.

Styles smirks, before walking out of the picture.

It looks like a Styles Clash could be on the way, but The Fallen Angel breaks out of it, lifts AJ onto his shoulders, AND NAILS STYLES WITH A DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!! Daniels lies on the ground next to Styles for a few moments, before making the cover:

AJ writhes in pain, being locked in the hold for over half a minute, before eventually managing to crawl across the ring and reach the ropes!!

Daniels only releases on the referee's count of four, and when he gets to his feet, the X Division Champion SAMOA JOE walks out to a mixed reaction from the crowd!

Daniels gets distracted, talking trash to Joe who walks down to just outside the ring, with his title and bloodied towel over his shoulder.

Meanwhile, Styles gets back to his feet, and when Daniels turns around, AJ HITS HIM WITH A PELÉ KICK!! Daniels, although very groggy, stays on his feet, BUT IS LAID OUT BY A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE FROM STYLES!! AJ then slowly climbs to the top rope, AND NAILS DANIELS WITH A FROG SPLASH! Styles covers:

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the result of this match... is a TIME LIMIT DRAW!!

The crowd the result of the match, as Daniels slowly makes it back to his feet. Joe stares down Styles and Daniels from the outside of the ring, holding his X Division Championship in the air.

Mike Tenay: It looks like we don't have a clear-cut #1 contender, so what happens now?

Don West: Is five more minutes really too much to ask?

With that said, the Director of Authority, LARRY ZBYSZKO, marches down to ringside, taking a microphone.

Larry Zbyszko: Alright, alright. AJ, Daniels, you're not going anywhere. You two have got FIVE MORE MINUTES to settle this!!

~ HUGE pop from the crowd.

Larry Zbyszko: Five more minutes, guys, that's it!!

Daniels jumps to the second rope and then to the top rope, GOING FOR THE BEST MOONSAULT EVER... BUT STYLES GETS HIS KNEES UP!!

Daniels clutches his mid-section in pain, as both men lie in the middle of the ring motionless for several moments. AJ is the first to his feet, and when Daniels gets up, STYLES HITS HIM WITH A BELLY-TO-BACK SUPLEX!!

The Fallen Angel lands right on his neck, and AJ slowly crawls across the ring, going for the cover:

1...

2...

3- NO!! DANIELS GETS THE SHOULDER UP!!

Styles gets back up, looking over at Samoa Joe who is watching outside the ring with a smirk on his face. AJ turns his attention back to Daniels, but as soon as he gets him up Styles is greeted with a chop.

Daniels gets back to his feet and hits AJ with a few more chops. He then kicks Styles in the mid-section and hooks his arms, lifting him up for the Angel's Wings... BUT AJ REVERSES IT INTO A HURRICANRANA, HOLDING ONTO HIS LEGS AND PINNING HIM!!

1...

2...

3- NO!!!! DANIELS KICKS OUT AGAIN!!!!

AJ can't believe it, looking at the referee in desperation. Both men get to their feet and Styles goes for a clothesline, but Daniels ducks it. When AJ turns around, Daniels aims a kick at Styles' right leg, forcing him down to one knee, AND DANIELS THEN CLOCKS AJ WITH AN ENZUIGIRI!!

Daniels follows up by putting AJ's head in between his legs, hooking his arms, lifting him up, AND NAILING STYLES WITH THE ANGEL'S WINGS!!

The Fallen Angel has finally hit one of his finishing maneuvers, and an exhausted Daniels drops to the ground with AJ. Daniels slowly hooks the leg, making the cover, surely this is it:

1...

2...

3- NO!!!!!! STYLES KICKS OUT OF THE ANGEL'S WINGS!!!!!!

Daniels is in shock, and can't get up, lying on top of AJ for several moments as the crowd chant "This is awesome!" Daniels gets back up, and heads to the corner, about to jump to the second rope for the Best Moonsault Ever...

... BUT THE BELL RINGS AGAIN!!

Winner - Time-limit draw @ 15:00

The crowd boo, as David Penzer emerges again with a microphone.

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the result of this match... is a TIME LIMIT DRAW!!

The crowd boo further, as Daniels collapses next to AJ.

Mike Tenay: We STILL don't have a winner!!

Joe shakes his head, albeit with a smirk on his face. Zbyszko stands up again.

Larry Zbyszko: Alright, y'know what? No more of this time limit crap on iMPACT! from now on, alright? But seeing as neither of you are losers tonight, and I'm still in the festive spirit, I'll tell you what. At Final Resolution, Samoa Joe WILL defend the X Division Championship...

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Larry Zbyszko: ... against 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels...

~ Mixed reaction from the crowd, who want to see Styles in the match.

Larry Zbyszko: ... AND 'THE PHENOMENAL' AJ STYLES!! IN A THREE!! WAY!! DANCE!!

~ HUGE pop from the crowd, as Zbyszko leaves once again and Daniels and Styles struggle back to their feet and lock eyes from across the ring.

Mike Tenay: WOW!! What a huge match made by Larry Zbyszko!! It's gonna be an Unbreakable rematch at Final Resolution for the X Division Championship!! JOE, VERSUS DANIELS, VERSUS STYLES!!

Meanwhile, Joe stands on the ring apron, once again holding his title in the air, before leaving to close the show.

Mike Tenay: Enjoy the rest of your New Year's Eve, everybody, we'll see you right here next week!!

Default Re: 1WhoKnocks Presents Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

I enjoyed the show, nice progression of the story lines.

I hope Ron Killings introduces his own team, making the 3LiveKru feud into a 3some...hehehe...sorry. But yeah with Konnan having the LAX and the James Gang together I think Killings putting together maybe 3LiveKru 2.0 would be interesting or something.

Abyss back as a monster is good, hope he has a hot feud lined up soon that will see him come to the NWA World Title. Again I think Sting vs. Abyss is money.

You did a good job with characterization. I dig the Christian Coalition name for Christian loose group to oppose Planet Jarrett. Both name shine spot light on the two bigger stars in the groups. Although I think a Rhino/Christian feud would be fun to read.

Raven's quest is great. PJ and Chris K were fun surprises I hope you continue the trend bringing in former stars for a match against Raven. There were plenty floating around at the time. I'd like this to lead to another title shot by Raven, as I think he was poorly handled in 2006.

You did a good job with pacing and getting storylines progressed leading into the HUGE main event. It got a lot of time on Impact. Even though we all saw the 3 Way coming, you did well at keeping readers interested in the match up and set it up perfectly. Daniels and Styles are so evenly matched here and no doubt the 3 way will be the best match at the PPV.

Another very good Impact man!

Good way to build up The Monster Abyss, just destroying Cassidy Riley and makes him just look strong. Jobber matches really can give wonders for a wrestlers career

The Ron Killings stuff should be an interesting choice here, whose side is he on? LAX or The James Gang. Personally I would rather see Killings go out on his own and let The James Gang and LAX settle there score. He does not need to be involved necessarily but i do wonder on whats going to happen.

I really enjoyed the promo with The Christian Coalition vs Planet Jarrett group storyline, just like TNA to really do something like this. What makes this work is Christian now has his own set of guys to counteract Jarrett's for the Final Resolution PPV. I do see a Lethal Lockdown going down in the future with this storyline, I really hope Christian can shut up Jeff Jarrett and Team 3D showing AMW who is truly the dominate tag team. Rhino vs Monty Brown will be a sick brawl and both guys really work similar styles.

Lets see hmmm, Who will Raven wrestle next? Whoever it is that guy is going to have a rude awakening with the role Raven is on.

WE GET THE THREE WAY DANCE!!! YES!!!! Daniels vs Styles vs Joe 2!!! I can't wait, i love on how Daniels and Styles could not get the win off each other and it lead to Zbysko coming out and i love the line when he said "You guys really aren't making my job easy, y'know." That made me chuckle a little bit, I would think Samoa Joe would not be so happy about this but he is a badass killing machine. Joe is going to have a big challenge though on his hand, neither Styles or Daniels are easy to beat.

Overall nice Impact! Here I can't wait to see whats coming next! Were going to have a great Final Resolution PPV AND a possible MOTYC in Joe vs Styles vs Daniels.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Barry_Champlain, I'll return the favor as soon as I can.

Gonna go ahead and post the preview for the next show, the show is finished so it'll be posted. I know I'm working at a fast pace, but I want to get as much in as possible before I go back to college next week.

1/7 iMPACT! Preview

It's the first iMPACT! of 2006, a year that promises to be huge for TNA!

As announced last week, in a huge main event the NWA World Tag Team Champions, America's Most Wanted, will face the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage, and 'The War Machine' Rhino, in a tag team war between members of Planet Jarrett and Christian's Coalition! And after what happened in last week's main event, there will be NO time limit!

'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles will be in action against Jay Lethal, eight days before Styles faces Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels for the X Division Championship at Final Resolution!

Last week saw the debut of two new associates of Konnan, Hernandez and Homicide, as they attacked The James Gang. Together they are, in Konnan's words, The Latin American Exchange, and this week, Hernandez and Homicide will face Lance Hoyt and Matt Bentley in a Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament quarter-final match-up!

Plus, Chris Sabin, Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt will clash in a Three-Way Dance!

Tune in THIS SATURDAY at 11/10c on SPIKE TV!

TNA iMPACT! - January 7th, 2006; Orlando, Florida

"Because it's not about what's happened before... it's about what happens next."

THIS IS TNA, THE NEW FACE OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING...

The opening video plays and the camera cuts into the iMPACT! Zone as the pyro goes off and the camera pans the fans who cheer and chant "TNA!".

Mike Tenay: Tonight, on the FIRST iMPACT! of 2006, the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage, and 'The War Machine' Rhino face the NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted! Plus, the 2006 Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament continues, and 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles is in action!! iMPACT! on Spike TV starts NOW!!

***PUSH IT*** Jay Lethal walks out, getting a decent reaction from the crowd. Lethal walks down the ramp, high-fiving some fans, before sliding into the ring and climbing to the second rope in the corner, pumping his fists.

***I AM***

The crowd go wild for AJ Styles, who walks into the pyro rain on the stage. Styles flicks his hood back from his red and black sleeveless jacket and poses, before walking down the ramp, high-fiving some fans, and entering the ring, posing again for the crowd.

1 - AJ Styles vs. Jay Lethal

Styles and Lethal shake hands, before locking up. Styles gets Lethal in a headlock, until Lethal pushes him away into the ropes. Styles comes back off the ropes, and jumps over Lethal, who lies on the floor. AJ runs off the ropes again, and this time Lethal springs back up and leapfrogs over him.

Lethal turns around, thinking that Styles has gone into the ropes again, but when he turns around, he is met by a big right hand from AJ! The Phenomenal One continues hitting Jay with blows until he is in the corner of the ring.

Styles then dishes out some chops to the chest of Lethal, until taking a few steps back. AJ then runs forward, going for a clothesline in the corner, but Lethal moves out of the way. AJ stops himself from going into the turnbuckles, but when he turns around he is met by a dropkick by Lethal which sends him right into the corner.

Lethal climbs onto the second rope and hits Styles with a handful of blows, before going for a hurricanrana, but AJ holds onto his legs!! Styles walks into the middle of the ring, looking to get Lethal in position for a Styles Clash, but Jay pulls his upper body up and hits AJ with some right hands until falling on him in a seated senton position.

Lethal grabs Styles' legs, making the cover: 1... 2.. AJ kicks out. Both men get back to their feet and AJ goes for an Irish whip into the ropes, but Lethal reverses it into one of his own. When Styles comes back off the ropes, he ducks a clothesline attempt from Lethal, running towards the opposite ropes and quickly climbing out onto the ring apron.

When Lethal turns around, Styles jumps onto the ropes and springboards off them, HITTING LETHAL WITH A SPRINGBOARD FLYING FOREARM SMASH!! AJ makes the cover:

1...

2...

NO!! Lethal kicks out!!

Styles almost had it there!! AJ gets back up and gets Lethal up, applying a front facelock. Lethal begins to fight out of it, hitting Styles with some blows to the mid-section. Lethal then hits AJ with a kick to the gut, followed by a hip toss, before cartwheeling forward and hitting a seated Styles with a dropkick!!

Lethal gets back up, climbing to the top rope, waiting for his opponent to get up. When Styles eventually gets to his feet, Lethal flies from the top rope, HITTING STYLES WITH A LEG LARIAT!! Lethal covers:

1...

2...

NO!! Styles kicks out!!

Lethal is feeling it now, and he gets Styles to his feet, putting him in position for an STO, possibly for the Lethal Combination. However, AJ fights out of it with some elbows, and when he is free, out of no where, STYLES NAILS LETHAL WITH A PELÉ KICK!! And before Lethal call fall to the ground, AJ gets back up, AND HITS LETHAL WITH A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE!!

Styles then immediately climbs to the top rope, and lets fly, HITTING LETHAL WITH A FROG SPLASH!! Styles covers:

1...

2...

3!!!!

Winner - AJ Styles @ 4:42.

Styles gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: AJ Styles is off to a winning start in 2006!

Don West: If I'm Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe, I'd have felt a little uneasy watching AJ Styles there, Mike, man he looked impressive tonight!

Styles leaves the ring and motions around his waist once on the stage that he will become the TNA X Division Champion at Final Resolution before exiting.

*Backstage - Parking Lot*

The camera cuts to the parking lot, where a car door opens, and CHRISTIAN CAGE steps out, getting cheers from the crowd. With a smirk on his face, Cage, set for action later tonight, walks through the parking lot as we go to a commercial break.

{Commercials}

*Cut to Video*

*Video Ends*

*Back to Ringside*

***BOUNCE*** Lance Hoyt
and Matt Bentley make their way out with Traci Brooks, getting cheers from the crowd. Bentley and Brooks pose together on the stage before walking down the ramp with Hoyt, as the fans do the 'Bentley Bounce'.

***DAWGZ*** The Latin American Exchange walk out to heat from the crowd. A red bandana covering the lower half of his face with the Mexican flag draped over his shoulders, Konnan leads the way down the ramp for Hernandez and Homicide, who enter the ring and pose on the second rope in opposite corners of the ring.

2 - Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament; Quarter-Final:
Lance Hoyt & Matt Bentley w/Traci Brooks
vs. The Latin American Exchange w/Konnan

Bentley and Homicide start off this contest. Bentley and Homicide lock up, and Homicide forces Bentley backwards into the corner of the ring, where the referee gets between them. After the official steps aside, Homicide lunges at Bentley, but Bentley moves out of the way, as Homicide falls into the corner. Bentley hits him with a few chops to the chest, followed by some stomps to the mid-section which cause Homicide to sink down to a seated position. Bentley gets Homicide to his feet and takes him into the middle of the ring. Homicide catches Bentley off guard with a knee to the mid-section, followed by an uppercut which sends Bentley staggering backwards into the ropes.

Homicide Irish whips Bentley into the ropes. Bentley comes back and Homicide bends over, looking for a back body drop, but Bentley delivers a kick to the face of 'The Notorious 187'. Bentley then runs off the ropes again, and when he comes back he hits Homicide with a flying clothesline!! Bentley does the kip-up, reminiscent of his famous cousin Shawn Michaels, and Traci applaud at ringside. Bentley gets Homicide back to his feet and applies a front facelock. Bentley lifts Homicide up for a suplex, but Homicide slips out of it and lands on his feet behind Bentley.

Bentley turns around, and Homicide brings him down with a drop toe hold. Homicide tries to apply a crossface, but Bentley slips out of it. Both men get back to their feet and Bentley goes for a kick to the mid-section. Homicide catches his leg, but with his other leg, Bentley clocks Homicide with an ENZUIGIRI!! Homicide falls to the mat and crawls to the corner, tagging his much bigger partner, Hernandez, into the match. Bentley's upbeat expression disappears as Hernandez enters the ring, and he charges at Bentley, going for a clothesline, but Bentley ducks it.

Hernandez turns around, and Bentley hits him with a forearm. Bentley follows it with some chops, before running off the ropes, but when he comes back Hernandez hits him with a HUGE shoulder block!! Bentley scrambles across the ring and tags in his partner, the six-foot-eight Lance Hoyt!! Hoyt steps OVER the top rope and into the ring, towering over Hernandez. The two of them have a staredown, until Hernandez opens fire with a right hand, and they begin to trade blows. Hernandez runs off the ropes, but when he comes back Hoyt grabs him by the throat!!

However, Hernandez then kicks Hoyt in the mid-section, before scooping him up, but Hoyt slips off his shoulders. Hoyt sends Hernandez staggering backwards with an uppercut, before running off the ropes. Hoyt comes back and goes for a big boot, but Hernandez ducks it. Hoyt turns around, and Hernandez grabs him by the throat with both hands, BEFORE THROWING THE SIX-FOOT-EIGHT HOYT OVER HIS HEAD WITH A CHOKE SUPLEX!! A tremendous display of strength from the debuting Hernandez, who then grabs Bentley in the corner and lifts him over the top rope and into the ring. Bentley gets back to his feet, and Hernandez removes his shirt, wrapping it around Bentley's neck, BEFORE SENDING BENTLEY OVER THE TOP ROPE AND DOWN TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR WITH A BIEL THROW!!

Meanwhile, Hoyt gets back to his feet and runs at Hernandez, but Hernandez grabs him, and hits Hoyt with a BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!! Hernandez gets to his feet and tags Homicide in. Hernandez gets Hoyt back to his feet, standing back-to-back with him and grabbing him by the arms. Hernandez lifts Hoyt above his head by his arms, BEFORE HITTING HOYT WITH THE BORDER TOSS!! Homicide then climbs to the top rope, AND HITS HOYT WITH THE FROG SPLASH!! Homicide makes the cover:

1...

2...

3!!

Winners - The Latin American Exchange @ 4:08.

Homicide gets to his feet, and he and Hernandez have their hands raised by the referee to heat from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: An impressive debut for The Latin American Exchange, who advance to the semi-finals of the Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament.

As Hoyt, Bentley and Brooks make a quiet departure, Konnan enters the ring and takes a microphone.

Konnan: Cut that music!

~ The music stops.

Konnan: Last week, BG and Kip James, they got what was coming to 'em!

~ Boos from the crowd, as Hernandez and Homicide nod their heads in agreement.

Konnan: And if you don't know what I'm talkin' about, it's time for yo' memories to be refreshed. Play it!

****

*Cut to Video*

The James Gang continue to celebrate their victory...

...UNTIL KONNAN WALKS OUT ONTO THE STAGE!!

Don West:
What the hell is he doing out here?!

Don West:
WHAT THE HELL?!

And that other individual, it- it looks like Hernandez, who was here in TNA as part of the Elite Guard a few years ago!! But what the hell are they doing here?! Are they working with Konnan?!

Homicide and Hernandez continue to assault BG and Kip, hitting them with stomps while they're on the floor.

Don West: Where's Ron Killings to stop this?! Does he want to stop this?!

Homicide lifts Kip James up to his feet, gets him in position, lifts him up, and... BAM!!

HOMICIDE NAILS KIP JAMES WITH A COP KILLA!!

Mike Tenay:
Oh come on, you've made your point already!!

*End of Video*

*Back to Ringside*

~ Konnan, Hernandez and Homicide stand in the ring, laughing to themselves as the crowd boo.

Konnan: Hahaha!! Beautiful, beautiful!! BG, I told you that Kip was bad news, homes, you should have known I would go loco if you stabbed me in the back, but that's exactly what you did. You didn't listen to me, and now, you're at war with The Latin American Exchange! These two right here, Hernandez and Homicide, I know for a fact that they will never stab me in the back like you did, vato, and I know that they will never betray my trust like you did.

~ Hernandez and Homicide nod in agreement again.

Konnan: The 3 Live Kru is done, finished, muerte, dead and never comin' back!! Nobody can replace me!! This is my band of brothers now, and we live and die in the LAX!!

~ The crowd boo, chanting "USA!"

Konnan: And Ron Killings... don't think I forgot about you, esse. You can still join us. And if you do, you will never have to look over your shoulder again, brother, because you'll know that we have your back. All we need... is an answer on January 15th at Final Resolution, and if you're as smart as I think you are, you'll-

***IN OUR HOUSE***

KONNAN IS CUT OFF, AS THE JAMES GANG COME RUNNING OUT!!

Mike Tenay: HERE COME THE JAMES GANG!!

BG and Kip sprint down the ramp and slide into the ring...

... BOTH TAKING DOWN HERNANDEZ AND HOMICIDE!!

Don West: Hernandez and Homicide have this coming after what happened last week, Mike!!

They take them down to the mat, brawling with them, but not for long as Konnan gets involved, hitting both Kip and BG James with blows to the back, tearing them away from Hernandez and Homicide!!

However, Kip then gets to his feet...

... AND GRABS KONNAN, HITTING HIM WITH RIGHT HANDS, BEFORE THROWING HIM OUT OF THE RING!!

Mike Tenay: THERE GOES KONNAN!!

Kip then turns his attention back to Hernandez and Homicide, but both men escape from the ring, heading up the ramp with Konnan as they are jeered by the crowd.

Don West: Dammit, they got away!!

The LAX reach the stage and are about to leave, but Kip grabs a microphone.

Kip James: HEY!! YOU SONS-A-BITCHES AIN'T GOIN' ANYWHERE!!

~ Big pop from the crowd.

Kip James: If your two lackeys wanna fight us, Konnan... THEN A FIGHT IS WHAT YOU'RE GONNA GET!!

~ More cheers, as BG pats Kip on the back.

Kip James: Hernandez, Homicide, you're in TNA now, boys, and we do things big 'round here, so it's gonna be the two of you against the two of us on January 15th at Final Resolution!!

~ HUGE pop from the crowd, as LAX try to play it cool. BG takes the microphone.

BG James: And that ain't a challenge, fellas, THAT'S A THREAT!!

~ BG drops the microphone and The James Gang's music hits, as they have a staredown with LAX until the trio leave.

Mike Tenay: Hernandez and Homicide are being thrown in at the deep end, Don, they've got a match at Final Resolution with The James Gang!!

Don West: They wanna play with fire, Mike, and they could well be burned on January 15th!!

*Backstage - Locker Room*

The camera then cuts backstage to the locker room, where RON 'THE TRUTH' KILLINGS is watching the events unfold on a monitor with his arms crossed.

*Backstage - Larry Zbyszko's Office*

Larry Zbyszko
is in his office, when Raven walks in.

Raven: Larry Zbyszko... 'The Living Legend'! To what do I owe the pleasure?

Larry Zbyszko: I called you in here to talk about your match at Final Resolution, Raven.

Raven: I arrive, I beat one of your guys yet again, and I leave. I'm not seeing what there is to talk about, Zbyszko.

Larry Zbyszko: I was thinking we... raise the stakes.

~ Raven smirks, interested in what Zbyszko has in mind.

Larry Zbyszko: I'll make you a deal, Raven. If you win at Final Resolution... I give you a chance at redemption. I give you a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Raven: Well how very charitable of you, Larry! But c'mon, let's hear the rest of it. What if I lose?

Larry Zbyszko: If you lose... you leave TNA.

~ Boos from the crowd.

Raven: There it is! I knew there was something. You must be feeling pretty confident about Final Resolution to make an offer like that... but y'know what? I accept. I have nothing to lose. I either get a shot at becoming NWA World Heavyweight Champion... or I don't have to work under you anymore. I can't wait. It's been a pleasure as always, Larry.

~ Raven walks away as Zbyszko sits back in his chair, putting his hands on his head with a grin on his face.

*Back to Ringside*

***GURU*** Sonjay Dutt
walks out, getting a good reaction. Dutt high-fives some fans on his way to the ring, posing on the second rope in the corner.

***OH CANADA*** Petey Williams makes his way out, accompanied by Scott D'Amore, to heat from the crowd. Williams walks down the ramp with D'Amore in tow waving the Canadian flag.

***HAIL SABIN*** Chris Sabin walks out to cheers from the crowd. Sabin poses before jogging down to the ring and posing again on the second rope in the corner.

2 - Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams w/Scott D'Amore vs. Sonjay Dutt

As soon as the bell rings, an alliance is formed between Dutt and Sabin, as they both go for Williams, but Petey sees it coming, immediately rolling under the ropes and out of the ring. The crowd boo Williams as he stands outside the ring with Scott D'Amore in front of the ramp, seemingly having no intention of going back.

With Williams out of the ring, Dutt and Sabin decide to carry on without him, locking up. It doesn't last for long, as Dutt grabs Sabin's arm and wrenches it around. Dutt rolls forward, going for an arm drag, but Sabin manages to stay on his feet with a cartwheel.

Dutt gets back up and Sabin now assumes control, hitting Dutt with some kicks to his left leg. Sabin runs off the ropes, but Dutt takes him down with an arm drag. They get back up, and this time it's Sabin who floors Dutt with an arm drag.

They get back up again and Sabin goes for a kick, but Dutt catches his leg and takes him down with a leg sweep. Dutt runs off the ropes and goes for an elbow drop, but Sabin rolls out of the way. Sabin is up first, and when Dutt gets back up Sabin kicks him in the mid-section, applies a front facelock and hits him with a suplex.

Sabin makes the first cover attempt of the match:

1...

2...

Williams finally enters the match, breaking up the cover attempt!!

The crowd boo Williams, who then immediately exits the ring again to rejoin D'Amore. The oblivious Williams is happy with himself, but as D'Amore gives him advice, Sabin gets to his feet, runs across the ring, AND TAKES OUT PETEY WILLIAMS WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!!!

The fans go wild, chanting "TNA!" as Sabin and Williams lie on the floor outside the ring, D'Amore lucky to have avoided that suicide dive. As both men get back to their feet, inside the ring, Dutt is up. Dutt climbs to the top rope... AND TAKES OUT SABIN AND WILLIAMS WITH A SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!!!

Another high-flying maneuver keeps the crowd cheering, and Dutt is the first one to his feet, greeted with a chant of his name. Dutt gets Williams to his feet and gets him back in the ring, making the cover:

1...

Sabin re-enters the ring, breaking up the pin!!

Sabin gets Dutt to his feet and lifts him onto his shoulders, in position for the Cradle Shock, but Dutt manages to break out of it. When he is back on the ground, Dutt hits Sabin with some forearms, before hitting him with a facebreaker knee smash, followed by a jumping neckbreaker, a combination known as the Calcutta Cutta!!

Dutt can't cover Sabin though, as he immediately rolls out of the ring. Meanwhile, Williams is back to his feet, and he surprises Dutt with a Russian Leg Sweep!! Williams covers:

1...

2...

NO!! Dutt kicks out!!

Williams gets back to his feet, and motions for the Canadian Destroyer, which excites the crowd and D'Amore, who is jumping up and down outside the ring. Williams gets Dutt to his feet and places his head in between his legs, ready to go for the Canadian Destroyer... but meanwhile, Sabin re-enters the ring, climbs to the top rope, and flies through the air, HITTING WILLIAMS WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK!!

Williams rolls away into obscurity, as Sabin gets up and turns his attention to Dutt. Sabin hits Dutt with some kicks to the left leg, which gets Dutt down on one knee, AND SABIN THEN CLOCKS DUTT WITH AN ENZUIGIRI!!

Sabin then gets Williams back up to his feet and lifts him onto his shoulders, ready to hit the Cradle Shock...

WHEN ALEX SHELLEY, AUSTIN ARIES AND RODERICK STRONG ENTER THE RING, KNOCKING DOWN SABIN AND DUTT!!

Winner - No Contest @ 6:06.

The crowd boo as the bell rings repeatedly and Aries, Shelley and Strong continue to attack Dutt and Sabin. Meanwhile, Williams quietly departs in a hurry with D'Amore.

Mike Tenay: What the hell is going on?!

Don West: I think Petey Williams has the right idea, Mike!! Get the hell out of there!!

Shelley takes a step back as Aries gets Sabin to his feet, as does Strong with Dutt. They lift them up at the same time...

... AND ARIES HITS SABIN WITH A BRAINBUSTER AS STRONG NAILS DUTT WITH A DOUBLE-KNEE GUTBUSTER!!

Don West: OHHHH A DOUBLE-KNEE GUTBUSTER!!

Afterwards, Shelley grabs a microphone.

Mike Tenay: Don't go anywhere, because it looks like we're going to hear from Alex Shelley next!

{Commercials}

Back on iMPACT!, Sabin and Dutt are gone, and Shelley, Aries and Strong are stood in a line.

Alex Shelley: What you people just saw... was a sign of what's to come. If that wasn't enough, I'll use this microphone to remind you of who we are. (Turns to Shelley and Strong) I'm not one to brag, but y'see, I can tell the future. These... are your future NWA World Tag Team Champions, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong!!

~ Aries and Strong both smirk, as the crowd boo.

Alex Shelley: And I... am your future TNA X Division Champion, Alex Shelley.

~ More boos, as Aries and Strong nod in agreement.

Alex Shelley: Together, we are Generation Next... and 2006 is gonna be our year. Because it's not about what's happened before... it's about what happens next.

Shelley drops the microphone and the trio leave as their music hits.

Mike Tenay: Some strong words from Alex Shelley, and after what we just saw I don't want to disagree with what he said.

Don West: Those three young men are impressive athletes, no doubt about it, and they've made one hell of a statement here tonight.

*Backstage - Interview Area*

Shane Douglas is with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, the NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted, and Gail Kim.

Shane Douglas: America's Most Wanted, up next in our iMPACT! main event, you face the #1 contender to Jeff Jarrett's NWA World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage, and 'The War Machine' Rhino in a tag team. How confident are you going into this match?

~ Harris and Storm give Douglas a blank look before holding up their NWA World Tag Team Championships in his face.

Chris Harris: That's how confident we are, Shane Douglas. Tonight, Rhino isn't our main concern, he's not the guy that's trying to take the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from its undisputed and rightful owner, Jeff Jarrett.

~ Jarrett nods his head in agreement.

Chris Harris: No, no, that guy is his partner... Christian Cage.

James Storm: Christian Cage!! Rhino!! We warned you that this was bad for business!! We gave you the chance to opt out of this!! But if you wanna face us tonight, then believe me, we got no problem whoopin' your asses!! Christian, you got no right bein' mentioned in the same breath as Jeff Jarrett, and tonight we're gonna show THE WHOLE WORLD... that you sure as hell don't belong in the same ring as him at Final Resolution. SORRY... 'BOUT YOUR DAMN LUCK!!

~ AMW and Kim walk out of the picture, and Douglas is about to leave too, but he is pulled back by Jarrett, who stays behind.

Shane Douglas: Can I... help you?

Jeff Jarrett: Is this some kind of joke? Just 'cause I'm not in the main event, doesn't mean I'm not the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Shane Douglas! I AM the main event!! (Shows title to Douglas) This right here means that I'm the best in this business!! And you don't even have a single question to ask me? Jesus, Shane!! All anybody cares about 'round here nowadays is Christian Cage, and Rhino, and Team 3D, and... (takes a deep breath) Sting.

~ A look of disgust emerges on Jarrett's face simply from saying Sting's name.

Jeff Jarrett: If I have to fly under the radar, then so be it, but make no mistake about it, there's only room for one king of the mountain 'round here... and that's me.

[i]An angry Jarrett walks out of the picture.

{Commercials}

"WE FIND THE DEFENDANT, GUILTY!!!"

The NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted walk out with Gail Kim, getting heat from the crowd. AMW pose with Kim on the stage as their pyro goes off, before making their way down to the ring.

***STAMPEDE***

Rhino
makes his way out out, getting a good reaction from the crowd. Rhino pounds his chest and raises his hands in the air as his pyro explodes before jogging down the ramp and sliding into the ring, posing again.

***TAKE OVER***

The crowd go wild for Christian Cage as he walks out. Cage slaps his chest and points to the crowd, walking down the ramp and entering the ring. Cage climbs to the second rope in the corner of the ring and lifts his hood back, removing his jumpsuit before joining Rhino.

3 - Main Event
NWA World Tag Team Champions America’s Most Wanted w/Gail Kim
vs. Christian Cage & Rhino

Chris Harris and Rhino start the match in the ring. Harris and Rhino lock up, until Harris breaks it with a kick to the mid-section. Harris hits Rhino with some right hands, until Rhino blocks one, and then begins to hit Harris with some of his own.

Rhino forces Harris into the corner, and continues to hit Harris with right hands, until the referee gets in between them and breaks them up. While the referee is separating them, HARRIS SPITS IN RHINO'S FACE!!

The crowd boo Harris' actions, and Rhino is now furious, as he runs towards Harris, but Harris steps out of the way and Rhino falls into the corner of the ring. Harris capitalizes, hitting Rhino with some stomps to the mid-section until Rhino is in a seated position.

Harris presses his foot against Rhino's throat, applying immense pressure until the referee's count of four. After the referee steps aside, Harris does the same again, and again breaks at the count of four. The ref gives Harris a talking-to, which he ignores, and gets Rhino to his feet.

Harris takes Rhino towards the corner of the ring where Storm is stood. Harris tags Storm into the match, and as Storm enters the ring, Harris holds Rhino in place in the corner of the ring, allowing Storm to hit Rhino with an elbow to the face.

Storm brings a dazed Rhino into the middle of the ring. Storm runs off the ropes, going for a clothesline, but Rhino ducks it, and when Storm turns around, Rhino grabs him, AND HITS STORM WITH A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!! Rhino makes the cover:

1...

2...

Harris enters the ring and breaks up the cover!!

Harris quickly makes his way back out to the ring apron, but is confronted by an angry Rhino. The referee gets in between them, but Gail Kim then climbs onto the ring apron, getting the ref's attention. Meanwhile, Storm crawls across the ring, AND NAILS RHINO WITH A LOW BLOW!!

The crowd boo, as Rhino sinks to his knees and Kim jumps down from the ring apron. Christian Cage protests, telling the referee to keep his eye on the match. Storm runs off the ropes, knocking Rhino down on his back with a dropkick. Storm makes the cover:

1...

2...

Cage gets involved for the first time, entering the match and pulling Storm away!!

The crowd cheer as the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Champion finally intervenes, and he's not done, getting Storm up and hitting him with right hands, sending him backpedalling into the ropes, and clotheslining Storm over the top rope and out of the ring!!

Cage is told to go back to his corner by the referee, and when Rhino gets up he exits the ring. Rhino gets Storm up and lifts him up in a Military Press, before dropping Storm on the top of the guardrail!!

Rhino wastes no time, getting Storm back in the ring. Rhino makes the cover:

1...

2...

NO!! Storm kicks out!!

Rhino gets Storm to his feet, but as soon as he does, Storm bends the rules with an eye rake!! The crowd boo, and Cage voices his displeasure at the referee once again. Storm gets to his feet, AND HITS RHINO WITH A DOUBLE-KNEE FACEBREAKER!!

Storm gets up, and grabs Rhino's legs... APPLYING A SHARPSHOOTER!! Rhino writhes in pain as Storm has him in the middle of the ring locked in this devastating submission. Rhino is locked in the sharpshooter for several seconds, but after about twenty seconds in the hold, RHINO FINALLY MAKES IT TO THE ROPES!!

The crowd breathe a collective sigh of relief, but Storm is not happy, only releasing the hold on the count of four. When he eventually does, Storm hits Rhino with a flurry of stomps, before backing away into the corner of the ring.

Storm eagerly waits for Rhino to get back to his feet, and when he eventually does, Storm goes for the Last Call, but Rhino ducks it, and when Storm turns around, Rhino lifts him up, AND HITS STORM WITH A SCOOP POWERSLAM!!

Rhino and Storm are now both down in the middle of the ring, and several moments later both men begin to crawl towards their respective corners. Storm tags Harris back in, but just after, RHINO TAGS CAGE IN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE MATCH!!

The crowd explode as Christian enters the ring, taking down Harris with a clothesline, and then hitting Storm, trying to pull himself up on the ring apron, with a baseball slide, sending The Cowboy down to the concrete floor!!

Cage gets back up, and Harris is also on his feet. Harris goes for a right hand, but Cage blocks it, and begins to unload on Harris with right hands of his own. Harris eventually blocks one and hits Cage with a knee to the mid-section, buying himself some time. Harris runs off the ropes, but Cage hits him with a dropkick!!

Captain Charisma gets back up and slaps his chest, which prompts cheers from the crowd. Harris gets back up and runs at Cage, but he is dropped with a drop toe hold, which leads to Harris being draped over the second rope. Cage then stands on Harris' shoulders and holds onto the ropes, applying pressure on his back, but stops on the referee's count of four.

Cage then climbs to the top rope, waiting for Harris to get to his feet. Before Harris is up, though, Gail Kim climbs onto the ring apron, grabbing Christian's left foot!! The crowd boo and Cage tries to break free, but Kim's interference gives Harris an opening, and he puts his bodyweight down on the top rope, causing Christian to lose his balance!!

Harris climbs to the top rope, applies a front facelock, AND HITS CAGE WITH A SUPERPLEX!!!! Cage and Harris lie in the middle of the ring for several moments, and they both manage to take their partners in, Rhino and Storm respectively.

Rhino and Storm enter the ring, and Rhino comes in strong, knocking down Storm with a shoulder block. Storm gets back up, only to be knocked back down with a clothesline. Storm gets back up once again, and this time Rhino scoops him up, AND NAILS STORM WITH A BACKBREAKER!!

Rhino makes the cover:

1...

2...

3- NO!! STORM GETS THE SHOULDER UP!!

Rhino gets Storm back to his feet and hits him with a European uppercut, which sends Storm backpedalling into the corner of the ring. Rhino goes towards Storm and hits him with a series of shoulder thrusts to the mid-section.

Rhino backs away, and when a groggy Storm moves towards the middle of the ring, RHINO HITS STORM WITH A SPINNING SPINEBUSTER!! The end could be in sight now, as Rhino sets himself up in the corner, yelling at Storm to get up, potentially for a Gore...

... BUT MONTY BROWN EMERGES ON THE STAGE, AND RUNS DOWN TO RINGSIDE!!

The crowd boo as 'The Alpha Male' stays outside the ring with a smirk on his face as Rhino leaves the corner, daring Brown to come into the ring. The referee attends to Brown, telling him to leave, but while the referee is distracted, Rhino turns around...

... INTO A LAST CALL FROM JAMES STORM!!!!

Cage's immediate instinct is to enter the ring to break up the pin, but he can't...

... BECAUSE JEFF JARRETT HAS COME THROUGH THE CROWD TO RINGSIDE, AND TRIPS UP CHRISTIAN, SENDING HIM FACE-FIRST INTO THE RING APRON!!

Meanwhile, Storm makes the cover:

1...

2...

3!!!!

Winners - America's Most Wanted @ 11:25.

After the three-count, Storm quickly exits the ring, as he, Harris and Kim retreat up the ramp with Brown and Jarrett.

Mike Tenay: America's Most Wanted get the win, but it's all thanks to the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett and Monty Brown!

Cage eventually re-enters the ring, holding his head, and he checks on Rhino. He then turns his attention to the stage, with a scowl on his face, as Jarrett and AMW raise their titles in the air, looking very satisfied with themselves, to close the show.

Mike Tenay: Well, not the best of notes to end the first iMPACT! of 2006 on, but we'll see you right here next week for the final show before Final Resolution!

TNA iMPACT! - January 14th, 2006; Orlando, Florida

"They don't call me the king of the mountain for nothin', Christian, and when you come at the king, you best not miss!"

THIS IS TNA, THE NEW FACE OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING...

The opening video plays, and the camera cuts into the iMPACT! Zone as the pyro goes off and the camera pans the crowd chanting "TNA!".

Mike Tenay: Tonight on the final iMPACT! before Final Resolution, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett and Christian Cage meet in the ring for the final time before their title match tomorrow night, and we've got a huge six-man tag team match as America's Most Wanted and Monty Brown face Rhino and Team 3D!! iMPACT! on Spike TV starts NOW!!

***PERSONAL JESUS*** The crowd boo as Alex Shelley walks out, accompanied by Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, with an instrumental of the Marilyn Manson cover of "Personal Jesus" serving as the theme song for Generation Next. Holding his camera, Shelley walks down the ramp with his Generation Next associates and sets up the camera, before entering the ring.

***GURU*** Sonjay Dutt makes his way out, getting cheers from the crowd. Accompanied by Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal to even the score, Dutt walks down the ramp and enters the ring, posing on the second rope in the corner.

1 - Alex Shelley w/Generation Next vs. Sonjay Dutt w/Chris Sabin & Jay Lethal

The status quo is to start a match with a lock-up, but Dutt ignores that, instead immediately attacking Shelley. Dutt dishes out several right hands and forearms to Shelley until he is in the corner of the ring. Dutt takes a few steps back, before running towards Shelley, but Alex steps out of the way.

With that, Dutt falls into the corner of the ring and Shelley assumes control, hitting him with stomps until he is in a seated position. Shelley places both feet on Dutt's throat and holds onto the ropes, leaning backwards and applying immense pressure to Dutt's throat until he is forced to stop by the referee.

Shelley gets Dutt to his feet, Irish whipping him into the ropes. Dutt comes back off the ropes, and manages to slide through Shelley's legs. He gets back up, and when Alex turns around, Sonjay plants him with a snapmare, FOLLOWED BY A STIFF KICK TO THE BACK!!

Shelley winces in pain as Dutt makes the cover: 1... 2... Shelley kicks out. Dutt gets Shelley to his feet, twisting his arm around. Dutt then climbs onto the ropes, performing theatrics as he walks across the ropes, before jumping off, dropping an elbow onto Shelley!!

Dutt makes another pin attempt: 1... 2... Shelley kicks out again. Dutt gets Shelley up again, but is met by some blows to the mid-section from Shelley, beginning to fight back. Shelley gets up and goes for an Irish whip into the corner, but Dutt reverses it into one of his own.

Dutt runs towards the corner, BUT IS MET BY A REVERSE STO FROM SHELLEY FACE-FIRST INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE!! As Dutt groggily gets up and staggers backwards, Shelley lifts him up and plants him with a back suplex.

Shelley sets Dutt up in a seated position, before wrapping his legs around his head, turning over, and hitting Dutt with the Total Nonstop Alex, multiple push up facebusters!! Shelley then turns Dutt over onto his back and covers him:

1...

2...

NO!! Dutt kicks out!!

Shelley gets Dutt to his feet and hits him with a handful of forearms. Shelley grabs his neck, and runs to the corner, going up the ropes and flipping backwards for the Sliced Bread #2, but Dutt manages to slip out of it. Shelley manages to land on his feet behind Dutt, and when Dutt turns around, Shelley goes for a kick to the mid-section.

However, Dutt catches his foot, pushes it aside, and hits Shelley with a facebreaker knee smash, followed by a neckbreaker, a sequence known as the Calcutta Cutta!! Dutt covers:

1...

2...

NO!! SHELLEY GETS THE SHOULDER UP!!

Dutt almost had Shelley there!! Dutt gets to his feet, as Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal cheer him on, getting the crowd to do the same. Dutt climbs to the top rope, but as soon as he does, Austin Aries climbs onto the ring apron, distracting the referee, AND WHILE THE REFEREE IS DISTRACTED BY ARIES, RODERICK STRONG PUSHES DUTT OFF THE TOP ROPE AND DOWN TO THE MAT!!

This prompts Lethal and Sabin to go after Aries and Strong, chasing them away up the ramp as the four of them disappear. Meanwhile, Shelley gets back to his feet, gets Dutt up, gets him in position, AND NAILS DUTT WITH THE SHELLSHOCK!! Shelley covers:

1...

2...

3!!!

Winner - Alex Shelley @ 4:53.

Shelley immediately rolls out of the ring, having his hand raised by the referee to boos from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: It looked like Sonjay Dutt was going to win, but Alex Shelley literally steals it right from underneath him!!

Shelley makes his way up the ramp with his hand in the air the entire way, as Dutt eventually gets to his feet in the ring, looking very disappointed.

*Cut to Video*

*Video Ends*

*Backstage - Interview Area*

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Raven.

Jeremy Borash: I'm here with Raven, and Raven, this could be the last time we see you on iMPACT!, now that we know that if you lose tomorrow night at Final Resolution... you leave TNA.

Raven: I'm aware of that, Jeremy. Our esteemed Director of Authority, Larry Zbyszko, must be pretty confident that whatever he's rustled up for me tomorrow night will be enough to end my career here in TNA. But Jeremy... (Puts hand over Borash's shoulder) let me share a story with you.

~ A confused Borash slowly nods his head.

Raven: There was once a man that proclaimed that it was his destiny to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion. People who believed him were few and far between. It took a while... it really took a while... but on June 19th, 2005, that man made good on his promise, and he became the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. That man was me. But Jeremy, that was just the first chapter. I have a new destiny, a new purpose, now. And that purpose... is to banish Larry Zbyszko from TNA. Like I said, Jeremy, it's a new chapter. And it begins tomorrow night, whether I win... or lose. Quoth the Raven, nevermore.

Raven glares at the camera, before walking away.

*Backstage - Locker Room*

Elsewhere, in the locker room, AUSTIN ARIES AND RODERICK STRONG AND CHRIS SABIN AND JAY LETHAL ARE FIGHTING!! The two duos are brawling after what transpired at the end of the last match, and moments later the Director of Authority, LARRY ZBYSZKO, walks in with security, as they break them up!!

Larry Zbyszko: THAT IS ENOUGH!! I'm not gonna have tonight ruined by a bunch of hooligans!! If you're gonna fight... then you can do it tomorrow night at Final Resolution in a six-man tag team match with your buddies Dutt and Shelley!!

~ Zbyszko departs, as Lethal and Sabin are escorted out of the room by security.

*Back to Ringside*

***BOUNCE*** Matt Bentley walks out, getting cheers from the crowd. Bentley makes his way down the ramp with Traci Brooks as fans do the 'Bentley Bounce', before entring the ring.

***MANSON*** Christopher Daniels walks out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Daniels walks down the ramp and poses on the ring apron, before entering the ring and removing his entrance attire.

2 - Christopher Daniels vs. Matt Bentley w/Traci Brooks

Bentley and Daniels lock up. Daniels gets Bentley in a headlock momentarily, before switching to his back. Daniels lifts Bentley up, rotates him around, and plants him on his stomach on the mat. Daniels then applies a headlock, until Bentley gets back to his feet.

Bentley pushes Daniels away into the ropes, and Daniels jumps over Bentley, who lies on the ground, when he comes back. Daniels comes off the ropes again, and this time Bentley jumps over him. Daniels runs off the ropes yet again, and this time Bentley hits him with an arm drag.

Both men get back up and the crowd applaud the entertaining start to the match. Bentley and Daniels go to lock up again, but instead Daniels grabs Bentley's arm, twisting it around. Daniels hits Bentley with some kicks to his left leg while he has his arm, before pulling him in for a front facelock.

The Fallen Angel lifts Bentley up for a suplex, but Bentley manages to escape, landing on his feet behind Daniels. Daniels turns around and Bentley grabs him, hitting Daniels with a belly-to-belly suplex!! Bentley covers:

1...

2...

NO!! Daniels kicks out!!

Bentley sits Daniels up, applying an abdominal stretch. Several moments later, Daniels manages to get to his feet, fighting out of the hold with elbows to the mid-section. Bentley staggers backwards into the ropes, and Daniels then runs towards him, but Bentley sends Daniels over the top rope and out of the ring with a back body drop!!

As Daniels picks himself up from the floor outside the ring, inside the ring, Bentley runs off the ropes and across the ring, FLYING THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKING DANIELS OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!

The crowd applaud, chanting "TNA!" as Bentley and Daniels lie on the floor. Eventually, Bentley gets back in the ring on the referee's count of five, and on the count of eight, Daniels also re-enters the ring. When he does, Bentley gets Daniels up, and sets him up in the corner. Bentley takes a few steps back before running forward, but Daniels steps out of the way.

Bentley manages to stop himself from crashing into the turnbuckles, but when he turns around, he is met by a European uppercut from Daniels. The Fallen Angel then takes a few steps back, before running towards Bentley, and hitting him with a knee to the face!!

After that, a groggy Bentley staggers forward, into a reverse STO from Daniels, FOLLOWED BY A KOJI CLUTCH!! Bentley tries his hardest to escape, but he is in the middle of the ring with no where to go, SO BENTLEY TAPS OUT!!

Winner - Christopher Daniels @ 4:05.

Daniels has his hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd, as Bentley makes a quiet exit with Traci.

Mike Tenay: Christopher Daniels picks up the victory over Matt Bentley the Koji Clutch, and 'The Fallen Angel' must feel confident going into the X Division Championship match tomorrow-

***CRUSH U UP***

Daniels' celebration is short-lived, however, as the TNA X Division Champion SAMOA JOE walks out, dressed casually but still sporting the towel stained with Daniels' blood over his shoulders along with the title belt in his hand.

Don West: Oh no... it looks like Daniels might not even make it to Final Resolution tomorrow night, Mike!!

Joe slowly walks down the ramp, Daniels daring Joe to get in the ring, but before he can reach the ring...

... JOE IS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY AJ STYLES!!!

Mike Tenay: BUT HERE COMES THE THIRD MAN IN THAT X DIVISION TITLE MATCH TOMORROW NIGHT, AJ STYLES!!!!

The crowd go wild as Styles valiantly fights Joe on the ramp, trading blows with the champ. However, Joe gains the upper hand in the exchange with a knee to the mid-section, taking AJ down to ringside, AND THROWING STYLES INTO THE STEEL RINGPOST!!

Don West: Well, there goes AJ Styles!!

Joe then turns his attention back to Daniels, as the two engage in a prolonged staredown...

... BUT STYLES GETS BACK UP AND ATTACKS JOE AGAIN!!

Mike Tenay: AJ STYLES JUST WILL NOT BACK DOWN!!

Joe and Styles continue to brawl outside the ring. Meanwhile, Daniels ventures out to the ring apron, jumps onto the ropes...

... AND TAKES OUT JOE AND STYLES WITH A SPLIT-LEGGED SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT TO THE OUTSIDE!!

Don West: AND NOW DANIELS IS STANDING TALL!!!!

The crowd go wild as Daniels gets back to his feet, picking up Joe's X Division Championship... and Joe's blood-stained towel!! Daniels looks at both, before dropping the title on Joe and saying "I'll be taking this home tomorrow night."

Mike Tenay: Daniels is taking that towel!! The very same towel that Samoa Joe stained with Daniels' blood back at Genesis!!

Don West: But more importantly, Mike, like he said just then, Daniels could well be taking that X Division Championship home with him tomorrow night!!

Daniels then hoists the towel stained with his own blood over his shoulders and leaves.

*Backstage - Jeff Jarrett's Locker Room*

The NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett is in his locker room with the NWA World Tag Team Champions, America's Most Wanted, Gail Kim and Monty Brown.

Jeff Jarrett: Well, fellas, the time has almost arrived. Tomorrow night, Christian Cage's fairytale ends.

~ The rest of Planet Jarrett nod in agreement.

Monty Brown: Can't forget about the ol' Stinger though, Jeff.

Jeff Jarrett: Really, Monty? 'Cause everybody else has for the last five years!!

~ Everyone in the room laughs hysterically, until Jarrett suddenly stops.

Jeff Jarrett: But seriously, Sting's comin' to TNA tomorrow night.

~ Jarrett looks over to the corner of the room, where his guitar is propped up.

Jeff Jarrett: And I wanna be the first to welcome him.

~ Jarrett smirks, along with everyone else.

*Backstage - Interview Area*

Shane Douglas is with Rhino and Team 3D.

Shane Douglas: I'm here with 'The War Machine' Rhino and Team 3D, who up next in our main event will face the NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted, and 'The Alpha Male' Monty Brown! Fellas, how you feeling?

Rhino: How am I feeling? I'm pretty pissed off right now, Shane!! Me and Christian Cage, we had America's Most Wanted BEAT last week!! And after all the crap they go around talkin', sayin' they're the best tag team in this business, they needed Jeff Jarrett and Monty Brown to beat us!! And Monty, it's comin' out of YOUR ass tomorrow night!! You've hit me with that Pounce of yours, but tomorrow night, it's time for YOU to feel the GORE!! GORE!! GOOOOOORE!!

~ Brother Ray steps forward.

Brother Ray: Chris Harris and James Storm are two dumb sons-a-bitches, no doubt about it. And y'know what? We've been here for a good few months now, and I still don't think they know who the hell they are. Me and Devon, every single company we've been in, we've won tag team titles, and we've kicked everybody's asses. There's one set of titles that we're just dyin' to have around our waists though, Shane Douglas, and that's those NWA World Tag Team Championships that AMW are walkin' around with.

Brother Devon: A man once said... that to be the man, you gotta beat the man. Well AMW... you've got your chance tomorrow night. OH MY BROTHER, TESTIFY!!

~ The trio walk out of the shot.

*Back to Ringside*

***POUNCE***

Monty Brown walks out, getting heat from the crowd. Wearing a leopardprint jacket and ooking particularly fired-up, Brown poses on the stage as his pyro goes off before walking down the ramp. Brown snorts at the camera before entering the ring, rubbing his forehead up and down the top rope.

"WE FIND THE DEFENDANT, GUILTY!!"

The NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted walk out with Gail Kim, also getting a lot of heat. The trio pose on the stage before making their way down to the ring.

***STAMPEDE***

The crowd cheer as Rhino walks out. Rhino pounds his chest and raises his hands in the air as his pyro goes off, before jogging halfway down the ramp, then waiting.

***WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT***

Team 3D walk out, getting a big pop from the crowd. Brother Ray and Brother Devon pose as their pyro goes off and then join Rhino on the ramp, before they make their way to the ring, as AMW and Brown quickly leave.

3 - Main Event
America's Most Wanted & Monty Brown w/Gail Kim
vs. Rhino & Team 3D

Brother Ray and James Storm start off the match. Ray and Storm lock up, and Ray overpowers Storm, almost forcing him down to his knees, but Storm breaks it with a kick to the mid-section. Storm hits Ray with some right hands, before going for an Irish whip, but Ray reverses it into one of his own.

Storm comes back off the ropes, and ducks a clothesline from Ray. Ray turns around, and is met by a chop from The Cowboy. Storm hits a couple more, before running off the ropes, BUT THIS TIME RAY ALMOST TAKES STORM'S HEAD OFF WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!

Ray makes the cover:

1...

2...

No!! Storm kicks out!!

Ray gets Storm up and takes him over to the corner of the ring where his tag team partners are, tagging Devon into the match. Devon steps into the ring and they apply a double facelock to Storm, before hitting him with a double suplex!! Ray steps out onto the ring apron, as Devon covers:

1...

2...

Chris Harris enters the ring, breaking up the pin!!

Harris avoids the wrath of Devon by quickly racing back to the ring apron. Devon gets Storm to his feet and gets him in the corner. Devon climbs onto the second rope, hitting Storm with ten blows to the head as the crowd count along, before climbing down. A disorientated Storm falls forward, INTO AN EXPLODER SUPLEX FROM DEVON!!

Devon gets up and heads back to the corner, tagging Rhino into the match. Rhino enters the ring and sits Storm up, applying a sleeper hold. Rhino keeps it applied for a while until Storm manages to get back to his feet, getting out of it and pushing Rhino away into the ropes, but Rhino comes back off the ropes and takes Storm out with a flying shoulder block!!

Rhino gets to his feet and raises his hands in the air as the crowd responds with cheers, before we go to a commercial break.

{Commercials}

Back from the break, it is now Monty Brown and Rhino in the ring, just as Rhino comes off the ropes into a dropkick from Brown!! The Alpha Male takes a brief moment to pose, drawing heat from the crowd, before covering Rhino:

1...

2...

Brother Ray enters the ring and breaks it up!!

Brown gets to his feet and marches towards Ray on the ring apron, as he gets into a heated argument with Team 3D. Meanwhile, Rhino gets back to his feet, and when Brown turns his attention back to the legal man into the match, HE WALKS INTO A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX FROM RHINO!!

Rhino gets to his feet and pounds at his chest, getting himself and the crowd fired up. The War Machine walks into the corner, waiting for Brown to get to his feet. When Brown eventually gets back up, Rhino goes for the GORE... BUT BROWN STEPS OUT OF THE WAY, AND THROWS RHINO PAST THE TURNBUCKLES AND INTO THE STEEL RINGPOST IN THE CORNER!!

Rhino winces in pain, clutching his shoulder as he moves back into the middle of the ring, and when he does, Brown picks him up across his chest, AND NAILS RHINO WITH A FALLAWAY SLAM!! Brown covers:

1...

2...

NO!! RHINO KICKS OUT!!

The Alpha Male thought he had the match won there. Brown gets to his feet and heads to the corner, tagging Storm into the match. Storm enters the ring and immediately runs off the ropes, before hitting Rhino with an elbow drop.

Storm gets to his feet, and when Rhino eventually gets up, Storm runs off the ropes, AND HITS RHINO WITH A SPEAR!! Storm makes the cover:

1...

2...

NO!! BROTHER DEVON BREAKS IT UP!!

Storm yells at Devon to keep his nose out of the match, before returning to Rhino. Storm gets Rhino to his feet, hitting him with a few right hands, before running off the ropes. Storm comes back off the ropes, RIGHT INTO A SPINNING SPINEBUSTER FROM RHINO!!

Rhino collapses along with Storm after that, and after that both men begin to crawl towards their respective corners. Storm tags Harris into the match, but Rhino tags Ray in as well!! Harris and Ray enter the match, AND RAY WIPES OUT HARRIS WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!

Harris gets to his feet, and this time Ray hits Harris with three bionic elbows, performing some theatrics, before knocking Harris down with one final bionic elbow!! Wildcat gets up again a few moments later, and Ray lifts him up, planting him back on the mat with a scoop slam.

Ray holds Harris' legs open, prompting Devon and Rhino to enter the ring, running across, and knocking Brown and Storm off the ring apron!! Rhino returns to his corner, while Devon climbs to the top rope. Devon and Ray shout "WAAZZZUUUPPP", BEFORE DEVON HITS HARRIS WITH A FLYING HEADBUTT RIGHT BETWEEN THE LEGS!!

Devon gets Harris right back up. Devon Irish whips Harris into the ropes, and when he comes back, DEVON AND RAY NAIL HARRIS WITH THE 3D!!!! Ray makes the cover, as Devon ensures that the pin isn't broken up:

1...

2...

3!!!!

Winners - Rhino & Team 3D @ 10:46.

Devon gets to his feet and Ray and Rhino enter the ring as they have their hands raised to cheers from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: Planet Jarrett lose tonight, and it could well be a similar story tomorrow night at Final Resolution!!

Storm pulls Harris out of the ring and they leave with Kim, all looking despondent as Rhino and Team 3D continue to celebrate in the ring.

{Commercials}

Back on iMPACT!, Mike Tenay is stood in the ring, where three chairs have been set up.

Mike Tenay: Ladies and gentlemen, we are now just one night away from the first Total Nonstop Action Wrestling pay-per-view of 2006, Final Resolution.

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: We've got three championship matches on the card and many other great matches, but the match that everybody is talking about is the main event, which will be contested for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

~ More cheers from the crowd.

Mike Tenay: In one corner will be the challenger, Christian Cage...

~ Big pop when Cage is mentioned.

Mike Tenay: ... and in the other will be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett.

~ Huge heat when Jarrett is mentioned.

Mike Tenay: These two men will meet for the first time ever in the ring tomorrow night live on pay-per-view, but right now I would like to welcome those two men to the ring to get their final thoughts before Final Resolution. So first, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the challenger... 'Captain Charisma' Christian Cage!

***TAKE OVER***

Christian Cage walks out, getting a big pop from the crowd. Wearing street clothes, Cage acknowledges the fans as he makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, shaking hands with Tenay and taking a seat.

Mike Tenay: And now, please welcome the NWA World Heavyweight Champion... 'The King of the Mountain', Jeff Jarrett!!

***MY WORLD***

The NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett walks out to loud boos from the crowd. Jarrett holds his title in the air as his pyro goes off, before walking to the ring and immediately taking a seat, declining to shake Tenay's hand or look at Cage.

Mike Tenay: Thank you for taking the time to do this. Now gentlemen, tomorrow night promises to be one of, if not the biggest NWA World Heavyweight Championship match we've seen on a TNA pay-per-view, and I've been instructed by Director of Authority Larry Zbyszko to ensure that there isn't a physical altercation here.

~ The crowd boo.

Mike Tenay: So, We'll start with you, Christian Cage. Two months ago, you made the jump to TNA, and now you've got a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Describe your journey to this point.

Christian Cage: First off, Mike Tenay, I just wanna do a quick headcount, if you don't mind.

~ Tenay nods his head.

Christian Cage: How many peeps have we got in the iMPACT! Zone tonight?

~ Big pop from the crowd, as Cage smirks and Jarrett rolls his eyes.

Christian Cage: Two months ago when I made the jump to TNA, I was fairly sure that I was coming to the greatest professional wrestling company in the world.

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Christian Cage: And two months on... I know for a fact that this is the greatest professional wrestling company in the world!!

~ More cheers, as the crowd chant "TNA!".

Christian Cage: Since day one of my career, hell, since day one of being a wrestling fan, there is nothing that I have wanted more than to be a World Champion, just like everybody else that wanted to be a wrestler. And now, I am just one night away from competing for the most prestigious championship that this sport has to offer.

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Christian Cage: I've had to sacrifice everything to get this opportunity, and believe me, Mike Tenay, I will not let it slip away from me.

~ More cheers, as Tenay turns to Jarrett.

Mike Tenay: Thank you, Christian. Now, for you, Jeff Jarrett.

~ The crowd boo Jarrett, who briefly glances at the crowd with a scowl before turning back to Tenay.

Mike Tenay: How highly do you rate your opponent tomorrow night, Christian Cage?

Jeff Jarrett: Before I get to that... thank you, Christian, for the kind words for this company, the company that I founded. And while you're at it, how about you thank me for foundin' this company, because without me, this little "dream" of yours wouldn't be possible.

~ Boos from the crowd, as Cage slowly nods his head.

Jeff Jarrett: As for your question, Tenay... you've done pretty well for yourself since you got here, Christian, I'm not stupid, I see that. And I don't like you, Christian, I've made no secret of that. You're the poster boy of these guys from the outside that think they can just waltz into this company, my company, and take whatever they want.

~ Cage laughs to himself, clearly disagreeing.

Christian Cage: Is that what you think?

Jeff Jarrett: That's right.

Christian Cage: Well, Jeff, let me set you straight. I'm not here for a vacation, I'm not here to pick up paychecks, I'M HERE BECAUSE I LOVE THIS BUSINESS!!

~ Big pop from the crowd.

Christian Cage: Ask anybody else why they're here, ask Rhino, ask Team 3D, they'll tell you the exact same thing. I'm here because TNA has the best wrestlers in the world, and because TNA has the best fans in the world...

~ Another pop for Cage.

Christian Cage: ... fans that appreciate guys that dedicate their lives, their bodies, everything they have to this business.

Jeff Jarrett: 'Appreciate'? Nobody has given more to this company than me, Christian, inside AND outside of this ring, and do these people thank me for it? Do the boys in the back thank me for it? Hell no!! That's why I don't fight for the boys in the back, that's why I don't fight for these fans, and that's why I'm holdin' this title right now!!

~ Boos for Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett: Christian... you're pretty good, I'll give you that. But y'see, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you don't deserve to be stepping into the same ring as me tomorrow night at Final Resolution!!

~ More heat for Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett: 'Cause it's like this, Christian, yeah, you're pretty good... but I am the best in this industry!!

~ The crowd continue to boo, chanting "You suck!"

Jeff Jarrett: I'm a five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion!! They don't call me the king of the mountain for nothin', Christian, and when you come at the king, you best not miss!!

Christian Cage: Trust me, Jeff, I'm not gonna miss. You talk about being a five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and yeah, it's impressive, but all that tells me is that no matter how great you say you are, when that title's on the line, you can be beaten.

~ Cheers from the crowd.

Christian Cage: I have never been more prepared, more ready, for a match than I am for tomorrow night, Jeff. You don't fight for the guys in that locker room? You don't fight for these people? Well that's fine, Jeff, because they don't want you fighting for them, they want me fighting for them, because they all know that I've got your number, Jeff.

~ More cheers for Christian.

Christian Cage: Ever since Turning Point, you've been running around here with your tail between your legs, worried about Sting, worried about if Sting's in the iMPACT! Zone. Well the fact is, Jeff... you should have spent that time worrying about the guy that's gonna take that NWA World Heavyweight Championship from you tomorrow night... me.

~ Big pop for Cage.

Christian Cage: And yeah, Sting's gonna be here tomorrow night. And I hope that Sting's the guy... that raises my hand as the new NWA... World... Heavyweight... Champion.

~ Cage stands up from his chair, prompting Jarrett and Tenay to do the same.

Christian Cage: BECAUSE THAT'S...

The crowd respond "How I roll!" as Cage and Jarrett have a staredown, and Jarrett holds the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in the air. Cage smirks, before leaving the ring.

Don West: You could cut the tension in that ring with a knife!! Jesus!!

~ Cage walks up to the stage and motions around his waist whilst staring at Jarrett before leaving, as the show comes to a close.

Mike Tenay: It's the biggest main event in TNA history!! Tomorrow night, Final Resolution, Jeff Jarrett, Christian Cage, for NWA World Heavyweight Championship... and the debut of STING!! Goodnight everybody, we'll see you tomorrow night!!

END OF SHOW
