>WrestleMania Fallout - The Rock Injured? The Undertaker Not Taking Time Off? More.!<
In a rather serious turn of events, The Rock may have suffered an injury during the WWE Championship match with John Cena. Rock took to twitter to congratulate John Cena as WrestleMania went off the air and also noted that he was seeing WWE Doctors to see if what he thinks is an injury, is in fact such a feat. The Rock tweeted:
@TheRock: Congrats to John, much deserved. Feeling banged up though, going to see WWE Doctors to find out if I suffered an injury. #FightStrong!
In addition to Rock's possible injury, CM Punk is said to be severely banged up following the table spot during his match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania. Punk landed on his knee as he connected with the table and he was sported favouring it for the remainder of the match. CM Punk had been rumoured to taking time off post-WrestleMania and this could give the former WWE Champion more reason to do so.
It has become somewhat of a tradition for the Undertaker to compete at WrestleMania and fade away until the next years big event however, this year Undertaker is expected to feature on WWE Television on a more regular basis. Undertaker is currently advertised to appear on Raw until Extreme Rules where he is also being advertised, with this in mind, it is fully expected Undertaker will be competing in some capacity at Extreme Rules.
Despite Triple H successfully winning against Brock Lesnar in a match that seen 'The Game' put his career on the line, the WWE COO is likely to take an extended absence from in ring action. Triple H has been slowly gaining a lot of power internally and is currently the head of WWE's development system. Triple H is believed to want to give his full attention to continuing to restructure the system and hope to bring NXT to American television in the near future.
Brock Lesnar on the other hand, has in fact signed a one year extension with the WWE so do not expect to see him disappear from screens any time soon. Brock had been rumoured to be facing The Rock next year at WrestleMania 30 if reports of him signing an extension turned out to be true however, The Rock is now not expected to be appearing, much less competing at next years event. The feeling is that whilst Vince may be high on using The Rock whenever possible, morale backstage will be strained due to The Rock ending up having another main event spot at WrestleMania, a feat that would be the forth time in four years.
Vince McMahon is said to be extremely pleased with how the younger talent did at WrestleMania, The Shield were well received backstage as was Fandango despite the ending to the match with Chris Jericho. The Shield are to continue dominating on screen for the foreseeable future whilst Fandango is expected to continue a feud with Chris Jericho until Jericho goes off on tour with his band Fozzy.
Whilst Dolph Ziggler was competing in a tag team match for the championships at WrestleMania, he is not staying in that division for long. Vince McMahon wants Dolph Ziggler to cash in the briefcase sooner rather than later and it would come as no surprise if Dolph Ziggler were to cash in the briefcase before the end of May. Big E. Langston will not be going back to development as officials are more than happy with how fans have reacted to him.
New WWE Hall of Famer, Bruno Sammartino is scheduled to take part in a WWE DVD Feature on his career, Sammartino agreed to this deal when he signed up for the WWE Hall of Fame however, do not expect to see Sammartino on regular or semi-regular WWE Television any time soon.
Advertised for Raw tomorrow night is the Tonnes of Funk versus. Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins, the match never took place at WrestleMania due to time constraints.
Bog standard stuff here, Raw preview to come in a few days and then it's showtime.
