Monday 15th March, 2004
Izod Center
East Rutherford, New Jersey

We aren't even 24 hours removed from the greatest Wrestlemania of all time, and Monday Night Raw emanates from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just minutes away from the epic Madison Square Garden which hosted last night's Pay-Per-View extravaganza!

The biggest story coming out of last night's insane show, was the crowning of a brand new World Heavyweight Champion, as The Rabid Wolverine accomplished his life long dream of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion after making the former champion, Triple H, tap out to the excruciating Crippler Crossface. We can confirm that both Chris Benoit and Triple H are in the building tonight, both men wearing their battle scars, and we can also confirm that the new World Heavyweight Champion will be opening the show with an acceptance speech. What will the new top-man have to say? What will the former champion do or say in response? We don't know, but we can only imagine that it will be exposive, to say the least!

However, don't forget the third man in the whole equation, Shawn Michaels, who was also a part of last night's epic main event. Many people have tried to get in contact with The Heartbreak Kid, but to no avail, so it is unknown whether Shawn will be in attendance tonight. But one has to presume that Shawn will feel like he deserves a title shot simply because he wasn't involved in the decision last night. Will Mr Wrestlemania show up at The Izod Center, and if so, what will have have to say?

We also saw last night, one of the most shocking moments in Wrestlemania history, as Trish Stratus cost Chris Jericho his match against Trish's now-boyfriend, Christian, as she slapped Jericho in the face, leaving the door open for Christian to roll him up for the victory. Following the match, the new power couple, Trish and Christian, then assaulted a defenceless Y2J, as Stratus low-blowed her former lover and Captain Charisma drilled him with an Unprettier. Rumours have been rampant since the match, some even suggesting that Chris Jericho is out for blood - And not just Christian's either. Jericho will be in action tonight against Val Venis, and it will be interesting to see how Chris Jericho acts after having 24 hours to think and dwell on what happened.

The Legend Killer, and WWE Intercontinental Champion, Randy Orton drilled the final nail in the coffin of his 6 month long feud with WWE Legend, Mick Foley, as Orton teamed up with Evolution cohorts, Batista and Ric Flair, to overcome the dynamic duo of Foley and The Rock - The Rock n Sock Connection - in a three-on-two handicap match. Last night just went on to prove that Randy Orton is the future of the industry, as he took out another legend in the form of the three time World Champion. Whilst not scheduled to be in action, we understand that the third generation superstar, Randy Orton, has requested some time to speak on the matter of Foley, and what is next in his young, yet already-storied career. What will Randy have to say? What is next on the agenda for the WWE Intercontinental Champion? There's only one way to find out, and that's by tuning in to Monday Night Raw!

We also saw RVD and Booker T retain their World Tag Team Championships in a hectic four corners match, as well as the psychotic Victoria retain her Women's Championship against Molly Holly, a match which resulted in Molly having her head shaved! As the superstars of Monday Night Raw turn their attention to Backlash on April 18th, don't be surprised to see a number of superstars try and stake their claims as the new number one contenders to any of the four of Raw's championships.

Confirmed Matches

Another Four Corners tag team match to determine new number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championships
Chris Jericho vs. Val Venis
Molly Holly issues an open challenge to anybody on the Women's roster
Scott Steiner vs. Maven
Thuggin n' Buggin Enterprises vs. The Superheroes

Plus! Kane will be in attendance, as will Christian and Trish Stratus. We will also get an update on the contractual status of Bill Goldberg and Victoria promises to address the Women's division!
