UWL 'SLAM!' WRESTLING - EP. 121 - SIOUX FALLS, SD - SIOUX FALLS ARENA - 5-14-13 (Live)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Steve Stack and Joe Pedicino welcomed viewers and then ran down the program: President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the in-ring debut of Adrian Adonis of The Firm; UWL Women's World Champion Madusa vs. Luna; Lord Humongous & Missing Link see action; TV Title Match: Hugh Morrus (TVC) vs. 'Bad Boy' Brunzell; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more.)

(Video aired from two weeks ago of Rick Rude of The Firm laying out UWL World Champion Roddy Piper with the Rude Awakening after Piper had defeated David Schultz of The Firm in a World Title match. Footage then aired from last week of the confrontation between Piper and Rude and Rude and Piper challenging each other to a match this week and Rude requesting Piper put the title on the line. Piper agreed. Interim President Wally Karbo then came out and said that Pres. Watts has said he will allow the match; but would have to discuss whether or not it should be for the World Title with the UWL Championship Committee and that a decision would be rendered to start tonight's 'Slam!'.)

(In-ring: An easel was standing in the ring with a large board on it that was covered by a black cloth.

'Born In The USA' played over the p.a. system. Watts came out to a mild ovation. He was in a suit and had a mic. Watts slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

BW: "I have a few announcements to make to start the show tonight. And since I know you fans want to see great UWL action, I'll be as brief as possible.

"First, later tonight when he arrives, I am going to confront Greg Valentine about breaking my good friend 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago. I brought 'Doc' in because I believed that he was the man who could really teach the arrogant Valentine a lesson in his first match back after being suspended for 60-days. I just want to let you all know that Doc's recovery is going very well right now. And he told me to tell all of you that when he heals, the first thing he wants is a match with Greg Valentine. And I can tell you right now that match is gonna happen when 'Doc' returns!"

Crowd cheered.

BW: "We just saw video of the conflict between World Champion Roddy Piper and Rick Rude of The Firm. I have been in intense discussions with the UWL Championship Committee over the last week regarding whether or not the match between the two should be for the title tonight. After having some heated talks about the matter; after weighing all the pros and cons, the UWL Championship Committee and I have decided that tonight's match between Piper and Rude will be for the UWL World Title!"

More crowd cheers.

BW: "Finally, as you can see, there's a covered board on this easel. Next week, we are having a special 2-1/2 hour edition of 'Slam!' that will begin at 8:30 pm. Mark that down. Next week's 'Slam!' will be starting an hour earlier at 8:30pm. On that show we're gonna have a tournament. It will be an 8-man tournament and the winner will get a UWL World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'! I'm gonna remove the cover here so you can see the names of the men already in the tournament."

Watts pulled the cover off the board. Six names were listed.

BW: "The six men already in next week's tournament are: David Schultz; TV Champion Hugh Morrus; Wahoo McDaniel; President's Champion Rick Steiner; Dusty Rhodes; and Arn Anderson.

"Tonight, we're gonna have two wrestle-in matches to decide who the final two entrants will be in the tournament. Those two matches are: Ken Patera vs. Harley Race and Lex Luger vs. 'Superstar' Graham. Whoever wins the World Title match this evening between Roddy Piper and Rick Rude will be the man to defend the title at 'Thunderstruck'. Let's get ready to hook 'em up!"

Crowd cheered mildly.)

(Announcers discussed Watts coming out and making Piper vs. Rude a World Title match and announcing that they would have an 8-man tournament next week with the winner getting the UWL World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck' and Watts discussing his upcoming confrontation with Greg Valentine later tonight. Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); Wrestle-In Match #1: Ken Patera vs. Harley Race; Wrestle-In Match #2: 'Superstar' Graham vs. Lex Luger; President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the in-ring debut of Adrian Adonis of The Firm; UWL Women's World Champion Madusa vs. Luna; TV Title Match: Hugh Morrus (TVC) vs. 'Bad Boy' Brunzell; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said Lord Humongous and Missing Link see action next!)

Match 1
Lord Humongous & Missing Link vs. JT Southern & Charlie Cook

(Music-only version of 'Breaking The Law' played oer the p.a. system. Crowd popped as Humongous, Link and mgr. Dark Journey came out on the entrance stage. When the trio got to the ring, Link slammed his head against the ring post and Humongous pounded his chest. When the two got on the apron, Humongous stepped over the top rope into the ring and pointed at Southern and Cook as Link stomped around the ring.

During the match, announcers discussed the recent problems between Link and Humongous and the World Tag Team Champs Hall and Nash.

Total domination by Lord and Link from start to finish. End mercifully came when Lord pinned Cook with a diving splash across Cook's back.

WINNER: Lord & Link - Pinfall - Lord pinned Cook with the Gorilla Press Drop and Diving Splash across the back - 2:36)

(After the match: As Lord, Link and Journey were in the ring and 'Breaking The Law' was playing, Hall and Nash, in street clothes and with the titles slung over their shoulders, came out on the entrance stage to a mixed crowd reaction. Both had mics.

Nash: "Kill the music! (Music stopped.) Very well done, boys! Way to go! Way to beat up a couple of jobbers! I'll tell you guys one thing, that's if you can understand what I'm even saying, you wouldn't beat up Hall and Nash like that! Never in a million years, man! When the day comes and we meet in that ring, you two are gonna get smashed by men who are fully evolved! And Dark Journey, after we send Lord and Link back to the real Stone Age, darlin', you would look real fine standing with The Firm!"

Hall: "Hey yo! Notice the look in Lord Humongous' and Missing Link's eyes, man! They clearly have no idea what's going on! The look in their eyes says: 'Vacancy'. But, like the big man just said, you wanna fight with us, just let us know! We'll be more than happy to oblige and beat the pre-historic times out of you! I'm surpised that Link there doesn't come to the ring on a dinosaur or something! Hey! Either of you guys know what a wheel is?!"

Journey had taken the r.a. mic from Lee Marshall.

DJ: "Hall and Nash, I certainly don't expect you guys to stop trashing my men. Only men with class would do that. And as we know, you two have no class. As for joining The Firm, no thanks. I'm not some skanky ring rat. Lord Humongous and Missing Link are more than ready to collide with you two in a match. Just put the contracts in front of us and we'll sign them."

Nash: "Those two...sign contracts?! Ha! Don't make us laugh, Dark Journey! You can't sign a legal, binding contract with gravel and sticks! But who knows?! Maybe Scott or I will hit one of them so hard that they'll actually be able to start writing their own name!"

DJ: "The contracts will be signed and it will be completely legal. And when they are signed, it might just be you two who are on the wrong end of a thrashing.")

(Announcers discussed the post-match appearance by Hall and Nash and their confrontation with Lord, Link and Journey. Luna; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said the TV Title Match: Hugh Morrus vs. 'Bad Boy' Brunzell is coming up!)

(Video aired for the 'Deja Vu Presents: Thunderstruck' PPV - Sunday - June 9 - Seattle, WA - Key Arena - 8pm E/5pm P. Tickets on sale NOW!)

Match 2 (TV Title Match)
Hugh Morrus (C) vs. 'Bad Boy' Brunzell

('Bad Boys' by the Miami Sound Machine played over the p.a. system and out came Brunzell to a decent amount of boos. Brunzell was in his derby hat, black t-shirt with 'Bad Boy' written across the front, black tights with 'Bad Boy' written across the back and black and white boots with 'BBB' on the outside of each boot.

Brunzell got in the ring and took the mic from r.a. Lee Marshall.

Chants of 'Jim!' started.

BBB: "You know what? I've come to a conclusion. The only way I'm gonna get you weenie fans to stop chanting my birth name 'Jim' is to win a championship. After this match, you people are gonna be forced to respect me because I'm gonna become the new UWL TV Champion! Then, you'll have no choice but to call me by my new name as it appears on my driver's license, 'Bad Boy' Brunzell!"

Crowd booed.

Hugh came to the ring to a decent ovation. He was wearing the title around his waist. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Usual title pre-match ritual. Ref took the title and held it up for all to see and handed it off to Lee Marshall. Ref then called both men out to the middle of the ring and laid down the ground rules and patted each man down.

Ref sent each man to their respective corners. Brunzell feigned going to his corner and turned around and attacked Hugh from behind. Ref called for the bell.

Brunzell pounded away on Hugh and then whipped Hugh into the ropes and looked to catch Hugh coming off with a clothesline but Hugh ducked the move and came back and nailed Brunzell with his flying headbutt to the chest. Brunzell crashed to the mat. Hugh for the cover. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Fans popped for the quick win by Hugh.

Ref went over and had words for Marhsall and took the belt. Ref went over and handed Hugh the title and raised Hugh's hand in victory.

Marshall: "Ladies and Gentlemen! In a time of 14 seconds, your winner...and STILL UWL TV Champion...Hugh Morrus!"

WINNER: Morrus - Pinfall - Flying Headbutt to the Chest - :14)

(After the match: Rip Oliver came out on the entrance stage with mic in hand. He was in street clothes. He was booed as he made his way to the ring.

RO: "Hold it right there, Hugh. I've got something I want to say to you."

Oliver got in the ring as Hugh looked on.

RO: "Hugh, me and you have been in the UWL since day one. We were the tag team champions for eight months. When we were a team I carried the entire load. I made you a champion. After I got sick of you and we parted company, I went on to greater things as a singles wrestler. I became the TV Champion. You were nothing without me. At 'Spring Mayhem', you beat me and won the TV Title. If we wrestled each other 100 more times, I know you wouldn't beat me again."

Hugh now had the r.a. mic.

HM: "Are you saying my win over you was a fluke, Rip?"

RO: "I'm saying that's the only time you'll ever beat me. Being the former champion, I'm entitled to a re-match. I want that re-match for the TV Title and I want it at 'Thunderstruck'."

HM: "Consider it done. You are entitled to a re-match being the former champion. And let me tell you this..."

RO: "I wasn't finished. Hugh, I'm sick and tired of seeing you here in the UWL."

HM: "The feeling is mutual, believe me."

RO: "That's just what I wanted to hear from you. You see, I don't want you here anymore and you don't want me here anymore. So why don't we up the ante' at 'Thunderstruck'. Not only will the TV Title be on the line, but the loser of the match leaves the UWL."

HM: "Rip! I can't stand the sight of you! It would be an honor for me to beat you and send you pakcing from the UWL! This promotion is no longer big enough for the both of us!"

Pres. Watts walked out on the entrance stage with mic in hand. Tepid crowd response.

BW: "Hugh and Rip, I've been listening to what you guys have said! Since Rip Oliver is owed a re-match for the TV Title, I'm going to go ahead and make it the first official match for 'Thunderstruck'. But, I have to ask both of you this. Are you men sure you want to put your UWL careers on the line in this match? I know there's a lot of bad blood between you two. But this is a huge stipulation to add. The loser of the match will not be coming back to the UWL. They will be gone."

RO: "A UWL without Hugh Morrus will be a UWL drenched in eternal sunshine. President Watts, I'm all for the loser of our match having to leave the company."

HM: "I'm on board with it! Let's do this! To come to 'Slam!' on June 11th and know that Rip Oliver is no longer part of the company...that will be getting rid of a major cancer!"

BW: "Alright. One of you men will no longer be employed by the UWL after your match at 'Thunderstruck'. Let me be very clear about that. Get ready to hook 'em up!"

Oliver and Hugh then started having words with each other off mic as the segment ended.)

(Announcers dicussed Watts making the UWL TV Title Loser Leaves The UWL match between Hugh (C) and Rip at 'Thunderstruck'. Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); Wrestle-In Match #1: Ken Patera vs. Harley Race; Wrestle-In Match #2: 'Superstar' Graham vs. Lex Luger; President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the in-ring debut of Adrian Adonis of The Firm; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said Madusa (C) vs. Luna is coming up!)

(Update on Tina Ferrari.

Stack: "It's now been two weeks since Tina Ferrari announced she quit after losing to Madusa in their UWL Women's World Title re-match. And still, there's nothing to report. No one in the UWL has been able to contact her. No one knows where she's gone. It's like she vanished from the face of the earth."

Pedicino: "Steve, this whole situation is baffling. I mean, when she said she quit two weeks ago, was it in frustration or did she really mean it? Judging by the way things have gone the last two weeks, it looks like she has indeed quit the promotion. We'll keep you fans updated on this situation as best we can. Any new developments, we'll pass them along here on 'Slam!' You can also stay abreast of this situation by visiting uwlslam.com. Right now, there's nothing new to report.")

(Video aired for the 'UWL on Tour': Fri. - May 17 - Frankfort, KY - Frankfort Convention Center; Sat. - May 18 - Bowling Green, KY - Anderson Arena; Fri. - June 7 - Boston, MA - Agganis Arena @ Boston Univ.; Sat. - June 8 - Springfield, MA - Massmutual Center; Fri. - June 21 - Manchester, NH - Verizon Wireless Arena; Sat. - June 22 - Kingston, RI - Ryan Center. Match 3 (Non-Title)
Madusa (C) vs. Luna

(Luna was already in the ring.

'American Woman' played over the p.a. system and out came Madusa to a strong ovation. She was wearing the title around her waist. Madusa slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Match had been going on between Madusa and Luna for a couple of minutes when a big black woman in ring attire and a black man in a suit and fedora came walking to the ring.

Pedicino: "What is this?! It's Awesome Kong! I have no idea who that man is with her!"

Stack: "What are they doing here?!"

Luna had just hit Madusa with a trio of snap suplexes. Madusa was down as Kong climbed into the ring while the man with her stood on the floor. Kong charged up behind Luna and nailed her with a clothesline to the back of the neck. Luna crashed to the mat. Ref called for the bell. Kong picked up Luna and blasted her with the implant buster (aka, lifting double underhook facebuster). Luna laid out. Madusa had just recovered from the series of snap suplexes Luna had delivered. As soon as Mudusa got to her feet in the corner, Kong charged in and pulverized Madusa with a brutal clothesline. Madusa limp in the corner. Kong dragged Madusa out of the corner and laid Madusa out with am implant buster as well. Kong looked down at the two women as the black man on the floor was cheering her on. UWL security came charging to the ring to restore the peace. Kong glared at the male security members and looked like she was ready to take them on when the man on the floor yelled for Kong to leave the ring. After a few more seconds of Kong looking at security and the carnage she caused, she turned and left the ring and headed back up the aisle with the mystery man as most of the fans booed and some garbage was hurled in her direction. Security checked on Luna and Madusa in the ring.

DECISION: No Contest - Awesome Kong interfered and beat Madusa and Luna up - 1:48)

(Announcers discussed the shocking appearance of Awesome Kong and a mystery man with her and Kong laying out both Madusa and Luna. They wondered where this was all headed. Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); Wrestle-In Match #1: Ken Patera vs. Harley Race; Wrestle-In Match #2: 'Superstar' Graham vs. Lex Luger; President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said the in-ring debut of Adrian Adonis of The Firm was coming up!)

(Video aired for next week's 2-1/2 hour special edition of 'Slam!' - Next Tuesday - FX - Special Start Time: 8:30pm E/P!)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson interviewed JJ Dillon Enterprises.

Wahoo was in street clothes, Harley in his ring gear and JJ was in a suit.

LN: "JJ, we know that Wahoo McDaniel is already in next week's tournament to decide who will face the UWL World Champion, either Roddy Piper or Rick Rude, at 'Thunderstruck'. And Harley Race also has a chance to be in the tournament if he wins his wrestle-in match this week against Ken Patera. You have really got to be looking forward to the opportunity that is in front of you."

JJ: "I am extremely excited about this opportunity! Words can't even describe it! And I'll make it clear right now! I hate Roddy Piper! But I'm his biggest fan tonight as he defends the title against The Firm's Rick Rude! I want Roddy Piper to retain the gold because he's the man that Wahoo and I want to face at 'Thunderstruck'! Wahoo should be standing before you right now as the reigning UWL World Champion! But, due to an unfortunate incident, Wahoo is not the World Champ! But he will be after he wins the tournament next week here on 'Slam!' and then finishes the job he started against Piper at 'Spring Mayhem' at 'Thunderstruck'!"

LN: "I notice that you didn't mention Harley at all. Is there a reason for that? Are there major problems on the horizon for JJ Dillon Enterprises?"

JJ: "If Harley can win his match tonight against Ken Patera and get into the tournament, fine! I will support him! I'm getting really sick of the same question week after week, Larry! There are no serious problems in the ranks of JJ Dillon Enterprises!"

HR: "Bullcrap! There are major problems in our camp and you know it! I'm getting tired of you coming out here and telling the world how nothing serious is wrong when everybody sees it accept you, JJ!"

WM: "Harley! Why don't you shut the hell up and just go out and wrestle your match tonight, pray you get a victory and then try to advance in the tournament next week! You're the trouble-maker, pal!"

JJ: "There's nothing to this, Larry. Things are being blown out of proportion. This is just a minor disagreement between Harley and Wahoo..."

HR: "This is not a minor disagreement, JJ! Things are coming apart at the seams and you refuse to acknowledge it! You need to make a decision! You either manage me, or you manage Wahoo! It's impossible for us to keep co-existing in JJ Dillon Enterprises!"

Race then turned and stalked out of the interview area as JJ and Wahoo looked on.

JJ (nervously): "This looks worse than it really is. It will all be smoothed over. Harley's just having a bad day or something."

JJ and Wahoo then quickly left the interview area as Nelson sent it back to ringside.)

Match 4
Adrian Adonis (w/ Ted DiBiase) (The Firm) vs. S.D. Jones

(Adonis and DiBiase came to the ring to the song 'Money' by Pink Floyd. They received a mixed crowd reaction. Adonis was wearing his NY Yankee's cap, black tights and dark blue and white boots with the Yanks' 'NY' logo on the outside of each boot. Ted was in his usual expensive suit.

Adonis destroyed Jones and finished Jones off with his finisher the reverse STO to score the 1...2...3.

WINNER: Adonis - Pinfall - Reverse STO - 2:12)

(After the match, Adonis took the mic from r.a. Marshall.

Adrian: "I just wanted to inform the viewing audience of the name of my finishing move that you just saw. I call it the 'Goodnight Irene'. Because when my opponent's face slams into the mat it's lights out for them.

"And now, I want to make a personal dedication. I dedicate this next 'Goodnight Irene' to one Mr. Lex Luger!"

Jones was still down and Adonis went over and pulled Jones up and prepared to hit him with another 'Goodnight Irene' when Luger came out to a loud pop. Adonis let go of Jones and bailed to the floor just as Luger hit the ring. Luger challenged Adonis to get back in the ring, but Adonis had words with DiBiase and then Adonis did the blow-off gesture with his right hand and he and Ted headed back up the aisle as Luger looked on from the ring.)

(Announcers discussed Adonis winning his debut match and Luger coming Jones' aid when Adonis was about to hit Jones with another 'Goodnight Irene' after the match. Also discussed the blow-up between Harley, Wahoo and JJ in their interview. Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); Wrestle-In Match #2: 'Superstar' Graham vs. Lex Luger; President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said Wrestle-in Match #1: Race vs. Patera was coming up!)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson interviewed UWL World Champion Roddy Piper in the locker room.

Piper was in his kilt, t-shirt and had the title on around his waist.

LN: "Roddy, tonight you face Rick Rude of The Firm with the World Title on the line. Do you think you might be pushing it a little putting the belt up against another member of The Firm in such a short span of time?"

RP: "We in the UWL have to face The Firm head on! We must attack, attack, attack! The UWL wrestlers must be very aggressive when dealing with any member of the so-called 'elite' of professional wrestling! I'll put the World Title up against any member of The Firm at any time! We have got to let them know we aren't intimidated by them! They're gonna get their title shots, anyway! Might as well frustrate their attempts to win the biggest championship in our sport in short order! This belt is the key for them! It is their Holy Grail! The Firm believes that if they ever win the World Title, they are just one step away from making their power-play to take over the entire company! The UWL has to stand up and face the enemy! This is a do-or-die situation! No backing down, man!

"Rick Rude! You're getting your wish tonight by stepping into the ring with me with the belt up for grabs! Will you be the man who gets the job done for The Firm! Will you be the man to take the World Title off of me and give your organization the crown jewel of our sport?! Not if I have anything to say about it you won't! But you see, Larry, it doesn't end tonight! I retain the title and more of them will come at me! And I only have one thing to say about that! Let's rock.")

Match 5 (Wrestle-In Match #1 - Winner gets one of the final two spots in next week's tournament to decide who faces the World Champion at 'Thunderstruck')
Harley Race vs. Ken Patera

(Patera came to the ring to a good ovation.

Race came to the ring to pretty strong boos. Announcers pointed out that JJ Dillon was not with Race.

Two grizzled vets battled it out in an effort to land a coveted spot in next week's tournament. Back-and-forth battle throughout.

Midway through the match, JJ came out and made his way to ringside. Harley, who had gained an advanatge on Patera, seemed stunned to see JJ now at ringside. This gave Patera time to recover and roll Race up from behind for the pin try. 1...2...2-1/2... Race kicked out. The battle continued...

At the end of the match, Race once again had the advantage. Race had worked over Patera briefly and then bodyslammed Patera into position for a turnbuckle move. Race mounted the middle buckle and attempted to hit Patera with a diving headbutt but Patera rolled out of the way and Race crashed head first to the mat. Both men down. The two men made it to their feet and Race moved in on Patera and threw a punch that Patera blocked. Patera fired away on Race with head shots and then whipped Race into the ropes and looked to catch Race coming off with a clothesline but Race ducked the move and came back and he and Patera clotheslined each other. Both men crashed to the mat. Suddenly, Wahoo came charging to the ring and jumped up on the apron. Ref went over and ordered Wahoo off the apron. Ref distracted by Wahoo. Race made it to his feet first as Patera slowly started to get up facing away from Race. JJ climbed in the ring behind Race just as Race had gotten up. JJ dropped to a knee and hit Harley with a low-blow. Race crashed to the mat as JJ bailed from the ring to the floor. Wahoo suddenly jumped down off the apron as JJ walked over and met Wahoo and he and Wahoo headed back up the aisle to boos. Patera to his feet saw Wahoo and JJ leaving and then turned and saw Race down. Ref now also had his attention turned back to the match. As the groggy Race started to get to his feet, Patera moved in and grabbed Race in the full nelson and then blasted Race with his full nelson finisher. Patera covered Race and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans cheered. Ref then raised Patera's hand in victory. Patera looked over at Race and then left the ring. Patera slapped hands with fans on the way back up the aisle.

Ref went over to check on Race but Race waved the ref off. Race stood in the middle of the ring with hands on hips for a moment and looked around. Race then left the ring and made his way back up the aisle with his head down.

WINNER: Patera - Pinfall - Full Nelson Slam - 7:51)

(Announcers discussed the turn of events in the match with Race and Patera.

Pedicino: "Well, it looks like the question has been answered. Harley gave JJ an ultimatum earlier tonight and JJ chose to stick with Wahoo and throw him to the wolves."

Stack: "I'd like to say I'm shocked at what transpired, but I'm not. An explosion within JJ Dillon Enterprises has been brewing for months now and we just witnessed that explosion and it was big."

Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago; the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said Wrestle-In Match #2: 'Superstar' Graham vs. Lex Luger was coming up!)

(Video aired for next week's 2-1/2 hour special edition of 'Slam!' - Next Tuesday - FX - Special Start Time: 8:30pm E/P!)

Match 6 (Wrestle-In Match #2: Winner gets the final slot in next week's tournament to decide who faces the World Champion at 'Thunderstruck')
'Superstar' Graham (w/ Grand Wizard) vs. Lex Luger

(Graham and Wizard came to the ring to the strains of 'California Dreamin'. Graham was wearing his 'I AM A PROFESSIONAL!' t-shirt and tie-dyed ring attire. Wizard was in his tie-dyed tux, gold turban, white shoes and carrying his gold-tipped black cane. Pretty strong boos for Graham and Wiz.

Once in the ring, Graham struck some bodybuilder poses as the fans booed some more.

Luger came to the ring to a strong ovation. Luger slapped hands with fans while coming down the aisle.

Not a long match as the guys hit each other with a few power wrestling moves but neither could put the other away.

At the end of the match, Graham was on the offensive. Graham whipped Luger into the ropes and caught Luger coming off with a savate kick. Luger down. Graham for the cover. 1...2... Luger kicked out. Graham pulled Luger up and whipped Luger into the buckles. Graham charged at Luger but Luger stunned Graham by coming out of the corner and blasting Graham with his forearm smash to the head. Graham crashed to the mat as the fans popped. Just then, Adonis came charging down to ringside as Luger ran and hit the ropes. Adonis reached in the ring and grabbed Luger's ankle, stopping Luger dead in his tracks. Adonis let go of the leg and Luger turned and saw who it was. Adonis started backing up up the aisleway. An enraged Luger left the ring and charged at Adonis. Luger tackled Adonis in the aisle and started pounding on Adonis with punches. Ref was counting in the ring. Luger was pummeling Adonis, who tried to cover up as Luger was firing away. Graham got to his feet in the ring. Ref's count hit 20 and the ref called for the bell. As soon as Luger heard the bell ring, he stopped hitting Adonis and got to his feet. Luger saw the ref raising Graham's hand in victory. Luger charged back into the ring and had words with the ref as Graham and Wizard were celebrating their win.

Luger picked up on a mic.

Lex: "No! No! This is bullshit!"

Graham and Wizard left the ring and Luger took the r.a. mic from Marshall. Adonis was now standing in the aisle and holding his head from the pounding he allowed himself to take at Luger's hands. But Adonis was also smirking.

Lex: "Adonis! That's it, dammit! I want the match between you and me and I want it as soon as possible! This crap's gone on long enough!"

Adonis stood in the aisle shaking his head in the affirmative while still holding his head with one hand. Luger was livid in the ring and was glaring at Adonis.

WINNER: Graham - Countout - 4:44)

(Announcers talked about Adonis costing Luger his wrestle-in match with Graham and a shot at the World Title at 'Thunderstruck'. Hyped still to come: UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (WC) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm); the first 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said President Watts confronts Greg Valentine about Valentine breaking Steve Williams' ankle two weeks ago in just minutes!)

(Video aired for the 'UWL Top 5' for the week of 5-12 thru 5-18.

The top 5 is determined by the UWL Championship Committee.

WORLD CHAMPION: Roddy Piper

1 - Rick Steiner (President's Champion)*

2 - Dusty Rhodes

3 - Arn Anderson

4 - Rip Oliver

5 - Hugh Morrus (TV Champion)

* The President's Champion is automatically deemed the #1 contender.)

(Video clip aired from two weeks ago of Greg Valentine attacking Steve Williams and breaking Williams' ankle in the figure four.)

(In-ring: 'Born In The USA' played over the p.a. system and out came Pres. Watts. He had a mic. He received a modest ovation.

BW: "Before I get to the main reason that I'm out here, I have some brief announcements I need to make.

"We have just signed another big match for next week's special 2-1/2 hour edition fo 'Slam!'. As you all know, their are two factions here that have some serious heat with each other. Those two sides will meet in a 6-man tag next Tuesday. It's gonna be Father Dutch, Grog and the Sacred Anvil vs. Dallas Page, Buzz Sawyer and Brian Blair!"

Modest crowd reaction.

BW: "Also, that woman who came out and attacked Madusa and Luna during their match, her name is Awesome Kong. We have no idea who the man was with her. We're gonna try and have an interview with them on next week's program as well.

"And things have gone far enough between Lex Luger and Adrian Adonis. At 'Thunderstruck', they're gonna square off in a match!"

More cheers for the 'Thunderstruck' announcement than next week's 6-man tag announcement.

BW: "Now...where's Greg Valentine?!"

After a brief pause, 'All Along The Watchtower' by Hendrix played over the p.a. system. Out came Greg Valentine and mgr. Gary Hart to strong boos. Both men were in suits. They were strongly booed. Each had a mic.

The pair got in the ring and walked around for a moment soaking up the crowd reaction.

BW: "Greg, you know why I've called you out here."

GV: "Of course, Bill. I broke the ankle of your boy Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams. You thought you were going to suprise me by springing him on me as my mystery opponent two weeks ago; but instead, I suprised him by putting him on the shelf for the next few months."

BW: "It's really hard not to lose my temper right now. The first thing I want to tell you is that I'm not going to suspend you again. But, I am going to fine you again. And your fine this time is in the amount of $50,000 dollars."

GV: "Wow, Bill, that's $150 grand you've taken out of my wallet in the last three months. And my guess is that number will climb in the weeks and months ahead. I'm on the warpath now. Nobody is gonna stand in my way of making it back to the top. And that includes any pals of yours, Watts!"

BW: "You're treading on real thin ice with me, Greg! Watch your step!"

Hart: "President Watts, if I may."

Watts turned his head and looked over at Watts and that was all the room Valentine needed. Valentine sucker punched Watts in the face. Valentine then nailed Watts with a few more punches to the head that drove the staggered Watts into the corner. Valentine then zeroed in on Watts' left leg and started kicking Watts in his left knee area. Valentine then pulled Watts out of the corner and threw Watts down on the mat. Valentine ripped off his suit jacket and tossed it aside. Valentine stomped on Watts. Watts now prone. Valentine then stomped on Watts' left ankle a few times. Greg then slapped Watts in the figure four.

Pedicino: "He's trying to break Watts' ankle just like he broke Steve Williams' ankle a couple of weeks ago."

Greg tightened up on the hold and started rocking back and forth violently to apply more pressure. Watts in serious pain. Valentine broke the hold and bailed from the ring as UWL security members hit the ring. Watts down and holding his ankle and hurting. Valentine and Hart looking on from the floor. Some security members came down and ordered Valentine and Hart to head to the back. Valentine and Hart had words with security team members and then started heading back up the aisle to more boos.

In the ring, two security team members helped Watts to his feet. Watts had his left foot raised off the ground. Watts ordered the two security members to step and away and Watts tried to stand on his left leg. As soon as Watts put his foot down, he let out a groan and was on the verge of going down but the security members kept Watts from falling over. They helped Watts over to the ropes and Watts carefully laid down on the mat and rolled out onto the apron and then carefully dropped to the floor and the security members each had Watts put an arm around them and they helped Watts to the back as the President kept his left foot raised off the ground.)

(Announcers discussed Valentine attacking Watts and trying to break Watts' left ankle in the figure four and security coming out to save Watts. Said the UWL World Title Match: Roddy Piper (C) vs. Rick Rude (The Firm) was coming up!)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson interviewed Rick Rude and Firm Director Ted DiBiase.

LN: "Ted DiBiase, The Firm has another chance to try and bring home the UWL World Title tonight. Do you think your man will succeed this time?"

TD: "I have great faith that Rick Rude will be successful tonight and the World Title will become the property of The Firm."

LN: "What if that doesn't happen? What if Roddy Piper retains the title?"

TD: "Perish the thought, Larry Nelson. I won't allow myself or anyone else in the organization to think that way. The World Title is a key piece of the puzzle being put together by The Firm. And when we finally have all the proper pieces in place, we will be the masters of the UWL universe."

LN: "Rick Rude, your boss seems to have a lot of faith in you."

RR: "As well he should! Mr. DiBiase, I am going to go out there in a few minutes and reward the faith you have in me! Roddy Piper's going down! And the UWL World Title will find a new home around the most gorgeous, perfect waist in our sport!")

('THUNDERSTRUCK' PPV UPDATE!

Announcers ran down the card so far:

UWL TV TITLE LOSER LEAVES THE UWL MATCH: Hugh Morrus (C) vs. Rip Oliver

Adrian Adonis (The Firm) vs. Lex Luger

'Deja Vu Presents: Thunderstruck' - Sunday - June 9 - Seattle, WA - Key Arena - 8pm E/5pm P - Tickets on sale NOW!)

Match 7 (UWL World Title: Winner defends the title at 'Thunderstruck')
Roddy Piper (C) vs. Rick Rude (w/ DiBiase) (The Firm)

('Money' played over the p.a. system and Rude and DiBiase made their way to the ring to a mixed crowd reaction.

The pair got in the ring and Rude took the r.a. mic.

RR: "What I would like right now is for all the fat, out-of-shape losers who call themselves men to sit down and shut up while I give their ladies the thrill of a lifetime by showing them what a real man looks like!"

Rude removed his robe and then placed his hands behind his head and gyrated his hips. Rude then flexed and kissed his biceps.

Bagpipe music then played and the crowd popped as Roddy Piper came to the ring. Piper got in the ring and acknowledged the cheering throng.

Piper took the belt off and handed it to the ref. Ref held it up for all to see. Ref called both men out to the middle of the ring. DiBiase was with Rude. Ref laid down the ground rules, patted both men down and then sent each man to their corners. DiBiase had some last minute words for Rude and then left the ring and dropped to the floor.

Ref called for the bell...

The two men came out and circled one another and engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Piper drove Rude into the ropes and the ref forced a break. The two men then locked up once more and this time Rude threw Piper off and Piper went down. As Piper got up, Rude flexed his biceps once again. They locked up again and this time Piper threw Rude off and Rude went down. Piper then mocked Rude by flexing his own biceps as fans cheered. Rude got up. The two went to lock up once more but this time Rude caught Piper in a side headlock. Rude cinched up on the hold. Piper tried to shove Rude off but Rude wouldn't let go. After a little more struggle in the hold, Piper countered with a belly-to-back suplex. Piper got up and then Rude made it to his feet and Piper moved in with a series of boxing-style punches on Rude that drove Rude against the ropes. Piper whipped Rude into the ropes and caught Rude coming off with a dropkick. Rude went down. Piper grabbed Rude and slammed Rude's head into the top buckle 10 straight times as the crowd counted along. Piper then grabbed Rude in a side headlock and went to nail Rude with a running bulldog but Rude shoved Piper off and Piper crashed to the mat. Piper got up and was greeted by a series of punches from Rude. Rude whipped Piper into the ropes and caught Piper coming off with a clothesline that dropped Piper. Rude for the cover. 1... Piper kicked out. Rude then bodyslammed Piper into position for a turnbuckle move. Rude mounted the middle buckle and came off with a knee drop to the head. Rude for the cover. 1...2... Piper kicked out.

Rude pulled Piper up and whipped Piper into the buckles. Rude charged in and attempted to clothesline Piper but Piper moved out of the way and Rude crashed front-first into the buckles. Rude staggered backwards out of the corner and Piper spun Rude around and popped Rude with boxing-style punches and then poked Rude in the eyes. As Rude grabbed at his eyes, Piper maneuvered around and caught Rude in the sleeper hold. Rude fighting not to pass out. Piper cinched up on the hold as Rude was moving around trying to free himself or get to the ropes. Rude moved close enough to the ropes that he was able to get his hand on the top rope but Piper ripped Rude away from the ropes and kept Rude locked in the hold. Rude in the hold for a few more seconds before countering with a jawbreaker to the top of his head. Piper fell back against the ropes. Rude got to his feet as Piper moved off the ropes. Rude moved in and blasted Piper with a punch and then started maneuvering Piper into position to nail Piper with the Rude Awakening but Piper slid out of Rude's grasp and caught Rude in a backslide. Piper for the pin. 1...2... Rude kicked out. The two men got to their feet and Rude caught Piper with a knee to the gut. Rude whipped Piper into the ropes and looked to catch Piper coming off with a clothesline but Piper ducked the move and came back and pulverized Rude with the spear. Rude crashed to he mat and rolled over next to the ropes. Piper covered Rude. 1...2... DiBiase came over and put Rude's leg on the bottom rope. ...3! Ref got up and was about to call for the bell. Piper got to his feet thinking he'd won the match and raised his arms in the air. DiBiase yelled for the ref to look at where Rude's foot was. Ref saw Rude's foot on the bottom rope and signaled for the match to continue. Piper had his back turned to Rude and still had his arms raised. Ref went over and yanked one of Piper's arms down and told Piper the match would continue. Rude had recovered and when Piper turned to go after Rude, Rude nailed Piper with a kick to the gut that doubled Piper over. Rude then blasted Piper a spike piledriver. Rude for cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Piper managed to kick out. Rude picked up Piper and hit Piper with a pendulum backbreaker that set up a turnbuckle move.

DiBiase yelled for the ref to check on Piper to see if he could continue. Announcers said that if the ref stopped the match Rude would win the strap. While the ref checked on Piper, Rude went out on the apron and DiBiase, in front of God and everybody, except the ref and Piper, handed Rude his fingerless black glove. Rude slid the glove on and mounted the top buckle as the ref backed away from the barely moving Piper. Rude came off the top buckle with a gloved fist drop but Piper rolled out of the way Rude slammed his fist into the mat. Both men down as Rude was holding his hand. Both men got to their feet at the same time, Rude went to hit Piper with a glove-laden punch but Piper ducked the move and Rude spun himself around and Piper popped Rude with an atomic drop. Rude not down but he was hurting. Piper hit the ropes behind Rude and came off and caught Rude with a facebuster. Crowd exploded. Hall and Nash, minus the tag titles, came walking down the aisle, but they would never make it to the ring, as Lord and Link charged down behind the tag champs and caught them in the aisle and started brawling with them. Crowd going nuttier than a box of Christmas fruitcakes. Piper locked Rude in the ankle lock. DiBiase went over and grabbed a chair and the fans got even louder when Arn Anderson charged past the brawlers in the aisle and intercepted DiBiase on the floor. Arn and DiBiase had a stand-off. Rude managed to get to the ropes and got a hand on the bottom rope but Piper yanked Rude away from the ropes and back to the middle of the ring. Rude immediately tapped out to the delight of the crowd. Ref called for the bell.

Ref went over and had words with Lee Marshall and took the belt.

Camera caught a shot of Arn and DiBiase having words on the floor as DiBiase had the chair raised. Another camera shot of Lord and Link brawling with Hall and Nash off to the side of the entrance stage.

Ref handed Piper the title and raised Piper's hand in victory. Fans eating it up.

Marshall: "Ladies and Gentlemen! In a time of 9 minutes, 27 seconds, your winner...and STILL UWL World Champion...'Rowdy' Roddy Piper!"

Shot of a victorious Piper with the belt slung over his shoulder.

WINNER: Piper - Submission - Ankle Lock - 9:27)

Watts is here after Greg Valentine tried to break his ankle last week and will make an appearance; another 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more.)

(Announcers then ran down the pairings for the 8-man tournament:

Group A

Arn Anderson vs. 'Superstar' Graham
Hugh Morrus (TVC) vs. David Schultz (The Firm)

Group B
Ken Patera vs. Dusty Rhodes (The Firm)
Rick Steiner (PC) vs. Wahoo McDaniel

Match 1 (Group A Tournament Match)
Arn Anderson vs. 'Superstar' Graham (w/ Grand Wizard)

('California Dreamin' played over the p.a. system and Graham and mgr. Grand Wizard made their way to the ring to fairly strong boos.
Graham was in his 'I AM A PROFESSIONAL!' t-shirt and tie-dyed ring attire. Wizard was in his tie-dyed tux, gold turban, white shoes and carrying his gold-tipped cane.

As the pair came to the ring, video aired from last week of Graham defeating Luger by countout in their tourney qualifying match thanks to Adonis distracting Luger.

In the ring, Graham did his bodybuilder posing routine to boos.

After a brief pause, the song 'The Fight' by Giorgio Moroder played over the p.a. system. Out came Arn Anderson to a solid ovation. Arn slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

As expected, nothing less than a fight between these two. Graham took around 60% of the match. Both men had chances to win but couldn't put the other away. Wizard never interfered.

At the end of the match, Graham was on the offensive and worked Arn over with some punches. Graham then picked Arn up and popped Arn with a backbreaker across the knee. Arn hurtin' for certain. Graham pulled Arn up and bashed Arn with a series of forearms to the lower back. Graham then whipped Arn into the ropes and caught Arn coming off in the 'Superstar Squeeze' (aka, bearhug). Arn fought in the hold not to give up even though his back was in excrutiating pain. After being in the hold for around 15-seconds, Arn escaped by nailing Graham in the side of the head with a series of punches. Once free, Arn grabbed at his lower back. Graham took advantage and nailed Arn with a few punches to Arn's head. Arn stunned. Graham then nailed Arn with some more forearms to the lower back. Arn on his feet but in dire pain. Graham then backed up against the ropes and charged at Arn and looked to nail Arn with his big running clothesline but Arn instead suprised Graham by catching Graham with the spinebuster. Crowd popped. Arn went for the cover. 1...2... Graham kicked out. Arn grabbed Graham and went to whip Graham into the ropes but Graham reversed and caught Arn coming off with a savate kick. Arn went down. As Arn got up, Graham moved in and prepared to nail Arn with a double sledge but Arn stunned Graham with a kick to the gut that doubled Grahm over. Arn then nailed Graham with a DDT. Arn covered Graham and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans popped. Arn painfully got to his feet and was grabbing at his lower back as the ref raised Arn's hand in victory.

WINNER: Arn - Pinfall - DDT - 5:41)

(Announcers discussed Arn winning his first-round match against Graham and advancing to face the winner of the Hugh Morrus (TVC) vs. David Schultz (The Firm) match which was coming up next!)

Match 2 (Group A Tournament Match)
Hugh Morrus (TVC) vs. David Schultz (w/ Ted DiBiase) (The Firm)

(Morrus came to the ring to a decent ovation. He had the title on around his waist.

Announcers mentioned that Hugh could be wrestling in two title matches at 'Thunderstruck'. Hugh could be facing Roddy Piper for the UWL World Title; and he's already agreed to defend the TV Title against former TV Champ Rip Oliver in a match with the stip that the Loser Leaves The UWL. Said that if Hugh wins the tournament tonight but loses to Oliver at 'Thunderstruck', it could throw the World Title match at the PPV into chaos.

'Money' played over the p.a. system and out came David Schultz and Firm Director Ted DiBiase. DiBiase was in a suit. They received the usual Firm mixed crowd reaction.

Hugh took the match early until Schultz caught Hugh with the always brutal eye rake. Schultz then had control of the match. At one point, Schultz had thrown Hugh out of the ring to the floor and Schultz distracted the ref as DiBiase got a few good kicks in on the downed Hugh and then threw Hugh back into the ring.

At the end of the match, Hugh had made a comeback and now had the advantage. Hugh whipped Schultz into the ropes and caught Schultz coming off with a flying headbutt to the chest. Schultz crashed to the mat. Hugh went out on the apron and mounted the top buckle as Schultz made his way to his feet. Schultz turned around and Hugh came off with a flying bodypress on Schultz. Schultz hit the mat and rolled through the move and was on top of Hugh and grabbed a handful of tights as he went for the pin. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Schultz quickly rolled out of the ring and dropped to the floor where DiBiase was waiting for him. DiBiase raised Hugh's hand in victory to a mixed crowd reax and the pair then headed back up the aisle. Schultz turned and looked back at Hugh in the ring and Schultz pointed at his head, signaling he'd outsmarted Hugh.

WINNER: Schultz - Pinfall - Rolled through a Flying Bodypress and held Hugh's tights - 6:14)

(After the match: Hugh was still in the ring and was disappointed. He was facing away from the entrance stage. Out came Oliver on the entrance stage to pretty strong boos. He was in street clothes and had a mic.

RO: "Hey, Hugh."

Hugh turned and looked and saw Oliver.

RO: "Not only are you now not getting the World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'. But your UWL career is also coming to an end that day...courtesy of me."

Hugh looked on as Rip smirked and then turned and headed to the back.)

(Announcers discussed Schultz beating Hugh and advancing to the next round. Hyped still to come: Group B matches of the first round of the tournament to get the World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'!)

(Video aired for the 'Deja Vu Presents: Thunderstruck' PPV - Sunday - June 9 - Seattle, WA - Key Arena - 8pm E/5pm P - Tickets on sale NOW!)

Match 3 (Group B Tournament Match)
Ken Patera vs. Dusty Rhodes (w/ DiBiase) (The Firm)

(Patera came to the ring to the song 'There's No Easy Way Out' by Ron Tepper. He got a solid ovation coming to the ring. Patera acknowledged the crowd once in the ring.

'La Grange' by ZZ Top played over the p.a. system and out came Rhodes and DiBiase to a mixed crowd reax. Rhodes was wearing his top hat, black satin ring jacket with 'Dusty' written in red cursive lettering on the back, black tights and white cowboy-style wrestling boots.

Dusty held the advantage early before Patera fought his way back into the match. Match then became a see-saw affair. During the match, Dusty tried to pin Patera with his feet on the ropes but Patera escaped defeat. Dusty also nailed Patera with a thumb to the throat. Dusty also tried to finish off Patera with the 'Stardust Driver' but Patera escaped the hold before Dusty could apply it.

At the end of the match, the men were battling back-and-forth. Dusty had just stunned Patera with a bionic elbow to the head. Dusty went to whip Patera into the ropes but Patera reversed and caught Dusty coming off with a double sledge to the chest. Dusty crashed to the mat. Patera for the cover. 1...2...2-3/4... Dusty kicked out. Patera snapped Dusty up and whipped Patera into the ropes and caught Dusty coming off with a flying shoulder tackle. Dusty crashed to the mat next to the ropes and got one arm and one leg over the bottom rope. Ref ordered Patera to stand back. Dusty crawled out onto the apron. Dusty started making it to his feet on the apron and Patera went over and grabbed Dusty and tried to drag him back into the ring. During the tussle, Dusty was able to reach through the top and middle rope and yank Patera's legs out from under him. Patera crashed to the mat. Dusty got in the ring and dropped an elbow smash on Patera and then covered Patera for the pin. Patera's feet were sticking out under the bottom rope and the ref didn't catch it. DiBiase grabbed Patera's ankles as the ref counted. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Dusty got to his feet and had his hand raised in victory. An angry Patera sat up and looked at DiBiase and DiBiase looked at Patera. DiBiase gestured he didn't do anything. Patera got to his feet and was still looking down at DiBiase as Dusty grabbed the r.a. mic and went over and joined DiBiase.

DR: "Face it, Patera! You lost! Get over it!"

Patera started to leave the ring to go after the pair but the ref intercepted Patera, put his hands up and ordered Patera not to go after them. Patera started having words with the ref in the ring as Dusty and Ted fled the scene. Patera gestured that DiBiase had held his ankles while the pin was going on. Ref pointed to his eyes and told Patera he didn't see it. Pater now took the r.a. mic.

KP: "You people saw it! Did Ted DiBiase hold my legs down during the pin?!"

Crowd cheered and many yelled 'yes'. Ref and Patera talked some more and the ref again gestured that he did not see it. The two talked a little more and then Patera left the ring an angry man.

WINNER: Rhodes - Pinfall - Elbow Smash and DiBiase held Patera's legs down during the pinfall - 6:36)

(Announcers discussed Dusty winning with help from Ted DiBiase and advancing in the tournament. Hyped still to come: 6-Man Tag: DDP, Brian Blair & Buzz Sawyer vs. Father Dutch, Grog & Sacred Anvil; the interview with Awesome Kong and her mystery man; and more. Said the final match of the first round of the tournament was coming up: Wahoo McDaniel vs. President's Champ Rick Steiner!)

(Video aired for the 'UWL on Tour': Fri. - June 7 - Boston, MA - Agganis Arena @ Boston Univ.; Sat. - June 8 - Springfield, MA - Massmutual Center; Fri. - June 21 - Manchester, NH - Verizon Wireless Arena; Sat. - June 22 - Kingston, RI - Ryan Center. More info, visit: uwlslam.com!)

(Video clips aired from last week of Harley Race delivering an ultimatum to mgr. JJ Dillon; telling JJ he would have to manage Wahoo or him and not both of them and JJ costing Harley his tournament wrestle-in match against Ken Patera by sneaking in the ring when the ref was distracted by Wahoo and JJ low-blowing Harley leading to defeat.)

Match 4 (Group B Tournament Match)
Wahoo McDaniel (w/ JJ) vs. Rick Steiner (PC)

(Wahoo and JJ came to the ring to strong boos. JJ was in a suit.

'Welcome To The Jungle' played over the p.a. system and out came Rick Steiner to a nice ovation. Steiner came to the ring barking. Steiner then ran around the ring slapping hands with fans and barking some more as the crowd barked back. Steiner then got in the ring and ran around and barked some more.

Wahoo and Steiner fought each other with the ferocity of two ring warriors. Both men hit some of their big moves during the match but both managed to escape defeat.

At the end of the match, Steiner was on the offensive. Steiner whipped Wahoo into the buckles and then charged in and tried to hit Wahoo with a running shoulder block but Wahoo moved and Steiner slammed shoulder first into the ring post. Steiner extracted himself from the post and Wahoo moved in and battered Steiner with a series of brutal chest chops. Wahoo then whipped Steiner into the ropes and tried to catch Steiner coming off with his big chop finisher but Steiner ducked the move and came back and nailed Wahoo with a Steiner Line. Wahoo went down. Wahoo got up and Steiner dropped Wahoo with another Steiner Line. Wahoo got up again and Steiner went for a third Steiner Line but Wahoo dropped down, grabbed the front of Steiner's singlet and threw Steiner into the corner. Steiner slammed into the buckles and went down. Both men down. Out on the floor, JJ fumbled around briefly in his right front jacket pocket and brandished a pair of knux. Wahoo had gotten to a knee. Ref was looking over at the downed Steiner. Crowd popped as Race, in street duds, came charging down to ringside. Just as JJ was about to toss the knux to Wahoo, Race came up behind JJ and repaid JJ with a low-blow of his own. JJ and the knux crashed to the floor. Crowd popped. Wahoo looked at Harley and yelled something at him and then Wahoo turned to go back after Steiner. Steiner had recovered and was on his feet and Wahoo walked right into Steiner's arms. Steiner hoisted Wahoo across his shoulders and nailed Wahoo with the 'Steiner Driver' (aka, Death Valley Driver). Steiner covered Wahoo and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans roared. Shot of Race now looking on from the aisleway. Ref handed Steiner the President's Championship and raised Steiner's paw in victory. Steiner left the ring and dropped to the floor and started barking and the crowd barked back as Steiner made his way back up the aisle with the belt slung over his shoulder.

WINNER: Steiner - Pinfall - Steiner Driver - 7:47)

(Announcers discussed Steiner defeating Wahoo and Race getting a measure of revenge on JJ.

Announcers then announced the tournament semi-final match-ups:

Group A: Arn Anderson vs. David Schultz of The Firm

Group B: Dusty Rhodes of The Firm vs. Rick Steiner (PC)

Hyped still to come: 6-Man Tag: DDP, Buzz Sawyer & Brian Blair vs. Father Dutch, Grog & The Sacred Anvil. Said an interview with Awesome Kong and her mystery man was next!)

(Video aired from last week of UWL Women's World Champion Madusa wrestling Luna in an non-title affair and Awesome Kong and a mystery man coming out and Kong getting in the ring and destroying both Madusa and Luna with the implant buster (aka, lifting double underhook facebuster.)

(In-ring: Lee Marshall i'viewed Awesome Kong and her mystery man.

'Cry of the Vatos' by Oingo Boingo played over the p.a. system and Kong, in her ring attire, and the black man came to the ring. The man was in a brown suit and wearing a Fedora. Crowd buzzing.

LM: "Before we go any further, sir, I need you to tell us who you are?"

Man: "My name is the Slickster! But, y'all can call me Slick! Are ya diggin' my jive, Lee Marshall!"

LM: "I'm diggin' it all right. You are the manager of Awesome Kong?"

Slick: "That's right! Slick knows talent when he sees it! And this lady has a 'hood full of talent!"

LM: "What was the reason for her attack on Madusa and Luna last week?"

Slick: "This lady is not just some ordinary woman wrestler! Wherever she goes, she always has to make a big first impression! Because we all know how important a first impression is! Did you see what she did to Luna and the champion Madusa last week?! It was awesome! And that's why she's called Awesome Kong! But I want to point one thing out! The main target in that attack last week was Madusa! Luna just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! You are looking at the next Women's World Champion in the UWL! Kong is gonna reign down terror and destruction upon every female wrestler here! And she's gonna start right at the top with you, Madusa!"

Luna came out and power-walked to the ring. She got very little reaction. Luna got in the ring.

Luna: "Awesome Kong! You may want Madusa and the World Title! But first, you're gonna have to deal with me! I want a match with you...right now!"

Modest crowd reaction.

LM: "Wait a minute. I don't know if we can allow this right now. For a match to be made we have to go through the proper channels... Hold it! I've just gotten word in my earpiece that President Watts has given the OK for this match to happen right now! It's Awesome Kong vs. Luna! Can we get a referee out here!"

Ref hurriedly came out to the ring. Slick had a few final words with Awesome Kong and left the ring. Ref called for the bell.)

Match 5
Awesome Kong (w/ Slick) vs. Luna

(Luna came out on the attack early and took the fight to Kong but Kong gained the advantage and dominated the rest of the short match. Kong battered Luna around the ring and finished her off with the implant buster and scored the 1...2...3!

WINNER: Awesome Kong - Pinfall - Implant Buster - 2:05)

(After the match: Slick got in the ring as Kong was having her hand raised in victory, crowd popped as Madusa charged down the aisle in street clothes and was carrying the title. Madusa dropped the title on the floor and quickly got into the ring. When Kong turned around, Madusa nailed Kong with a series of stiff kicks that staggered Kong. Slick bailed to the floor. Madusa then whipped Kong into the ropes and looked to catch Kong coming off with a dropkick but Kong grabbed the top rope and Madusa crashed to the mat. Kong waited for Madusa to get up and when Madusa did, Kong steamrolled right over her. Madusa flattened on the mat. Kong then dropped an elbow smash on Madusa and then started to pick Madusa up for the implant buster. Luna, now recovered, climbed back into the ring with a chair. Kong let go of Madusa and glared at the chair-wielding Luna. Slick, on the floor, ordered Kong to leave the ring. After a few more seconds of mandatory wrestling staredown, Kong left the ring. As she and Slick started slowly making their way back up the aisle, Luna still stood at the ready with the chair in the ring in case Kong tried to come back. Madusa was now sitting up in the corner and being checked on by the ref.)

(Announcers discussed Kong defeating Luna in an impromptu match and Madusa attacking Kong but Kong driving Madusa to the mat and Luna coming to Madusa's aid with a chair. Also pointed out that her manager's name was Slick. Said the semi-finals of the tournament for a shot at the UWL World Title at the 'Thunderstruck' PPV were coming up! Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson was standing in the locker room with Ken Patera.

LN: "Ken, you have been livid since the moment you got backstage. No doubt this has to do with the finish of your torunament match with Dusty Rhodes."

KP: "You're damn right! This has everything to do with how I was robbed in my match with Dusty Rhodes thanks to Ted DiBiase! Everyone but the referee saw what happened out there! DiBiase held my legs and it made it impossible for me to kick out of the pin attempt by Dusty! I wanted that World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck' just like everybody else! But my chance was yanked right out from under me thanks to that rat DiBiase!

"In case you've forgotten, I was the first man signed by DiBiase for The Firm! I gave the group everything I had! And then DiBiase ordered me kicked out of the group because one day he thought I wasn't Firm material anymore! Well, I want a match with my former boss! I want Ted DiBiase in the ring! Get me a contract and I'll sign it! I want the match as soon as possible! I've been waging war against my former allies in The Firm since they showed their true colors towards me! Tonight was a breaking point! It's time that DiBiase and I had our own one-on-one war for all the world to witness!")

Match 6 (Group A Tournament Semi-Final)
Arn Anderson vs. David Schultz (w/ DiBiase) (The Firm)

(Arn came to the ring to the song 'The Fight' and got a solid ovation.

'Money' played over the p.a. system and out came Schultz with DiBiase to a mixed crowd reaction.

Rough-and-tumble affair between these two. During the match, DiBiase reached into the ring and tripped up Arn and gave the advantage to Schultz, but 'Dr. D' couldn't put Arn away.

At the end of the match, Arn was on the offensive. Arn popped Schultz with some punches and then dropped Schultz with a short-arm clothesline. Arn then caught Schultz with a knee drop to the head and went for the cover. 1...2... Schultz kicked out. Arn pulled Schultz up and went to whip Schultz into the ropes but Schultz reversed and bent down looking to catch Arn coming off with a backdrop but Arn stunned Schultz with a DDT. Arn again for the cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Schultz barely kicked out. Crowd groaned. Arn grabbed Schultz and started pulling Schultz up when Schultz stunned Arn with an open hand thrust to the throat. Arn staggered back into the corner. Schultz moved in with a series of knees to Arn's gut. Schultz then picked up Arn and dropped Arn with a modified frontal suplex across the top rope. Arn dangling on the rope. Schultz then nailed Arn with a running high knee. Arn snapped back, toppled off the apron and crashed to the floor. Ref ordered Schultz to stand back as he began the 20-count. Arn still down on the floor. Schultz came over and broke the 20-count and tried to leave the ring but the ref ordered Schultz back yet again and Schultz distratced the ref by having words with him. DiBiase came over as Arn was getting to his feet. DiBiase came up behind Arn, spun Arn around and drove Arn back first into the ring apron. Arn toppled back down to the floor. DiBiase backed off. Schultz suddenly stopped arguing with the ref.

Schultz yelled at the ref to start counting. Ref started the 20-count. Schultz was not interfering with the count now. Count grew and Arn started to stir on the floor. Schultz started to prematurely celebrate. Arn got to his feet at 17 and was still somewhat disoriented. At the count of 19-1/2, Arn barely slid back into the ring under the bottom rope. Schultz didn't wait for Arn to get up and put the boots to Arn and then snapped Arn up, whipped Arn into the ropes and caught Arn coming off with a snap scoop powerslam. Arn down and writhing as Schultz went out on the apron and mounted the top turnbuckle as Arn got to his feet. When Arn got up, Schultz came off the top buckle and nailed Arn with an elbow to the top of the head. Arn back down. Schultz grabbed Arn and went to lock Arn into position for his Redneck Death Drop (aka, Scorpion Death Drop), when Arn suddenly spun around in Schultz's grasp, put his arm around Schultz's neck, grabbed Schultz's tights and stunned Schultz with the gourdbuster out of nowhere. Arn covered Schultz and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans popped. DiBiase got into the ring and charged at Arn as Arn got up and Arn stunned DiBiase by nailing him with a spinebuster that made the crowd reaction even louder. Ref raised Arn's hand in victory and Arn then left the ring to a strong ovation as DiBiase and Schultz were licking their wounds in the ring.

WINNER: Arn - Pinfall - Gourdbuster - 10:07)

(Announcers discussed Arn defeating Schultz and moving into the final of the tournament. Hyped still to come: 6-Man Tag: DDP, Buzz Sawyer & Brian Blair vs. Father Dutch, Grog & The Sacred Anvil; an appearance by Pres. Watts; another 'Thunderstruck' PPV update; and more. Said the other semi-final match: Dusty Rhodes (The Firm) vs. Rick Steiner (PC) was next!)

Match 7 (Group B Tournament Semi-Final)
Rick Steiner (PC) vs. Dusty Rhodes (w/ DiBiase) (The Firm)

('Welcome To The Jungle' played over the p.a.system and out came Steiner. He had the President's Championship slung over his shoulder. Decent crowd ovation. Usual barking routine on the way to the ring and running around ringside. Steiner ran around and barked in the ring as the crowd barked back.

'La Grange' played over the p.a. system and Rhodes and DiBiase made their way to the ring. Dusty was just in his tights and boots and DiBiase looked a little sore from the spinebuster he took from Arn Anderson a few minutes earlier. Received the usual mixed crowd reax.

Steiner came out on fire early but Dusty was able to fight his way back into the match. Dusty then held serve before the match became a brief back-and-forth affair. DiBiase never interfered. Dusty strangled Steiner on the top rope during the match and also tried to score a pin with handful of tights but couldn't put Steiner away.

At the end of the match, Steiner was on the offensive. Steiner had worked over Dusty with a couple of Steiner Lines and a series of head shots. Steiner whipped Dusty into the ropes and caught Dusty coming off with a side slam. Steiner for the cover. 1...2...2-3/4... Dusty got a shoulder up. Steiner then snapped Dusty up and nailed Dusty with a gutwrench suplex. Steiner for the cover again. 1...2... Dusty kicked out. Steiner grabbed Dusty, whipped Dusty into the ropes and caught Dusty coming off with a kick to the gut that doubled Dusty over. Steiner started to lock Dusty in for the double underhook powerbomb but Dusty escaped Steiner's grasp and backdropped Steiner. Steiner made it to his feet and Dusty stunned Steiner with a series of bionic elbows to the top of the head follwed by a double sledge to the side of the face. Steiner crashed to the mat. Dusty picked up Steiner and hoisted Steiner into position for his 'Stardust Driver' (aka, inverted piledriver) finisher but Steiner wriggled around and droped to his feet and reversed the hold and now had Dusty up for the 'Stardust Driver', but this time Dusty wriggled around and reversed position with Steiner once again. Dusty nailed Steiner with the 'Stardust Driver' and covered Steiner and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. DiBiase got into the ring and congratulated Dusty on winning the match and the ref raised Dusty's hand in victory.

WINNER: Dusty - Pinfall - 'Stardust Driver' - 7:16)

(Announcers discussed Dusty winning and setting up the final between himself and Arn. Hyped still to come: Pres. Watts makes an appaearance. Said the 6-man tag was coming up.)

(Update on Tina Ferrari.

Announcers dicussed the ongoing search for Ferrari since she anounced she quit the promotion three weeks ago:

Pedicino: "Nothing new to report. We know of no one who knows where this woman is at this time. It's like she's fallen off the face of the earth. She's not returning calls, e-mails, tweets, anything. You have to wonder where she's gone."

Stack: "This whole situation is really mind-boggling. People who know her say they haven't seen her at her home in weeks. She's just gone. What's she doing? No one seems to know. It's like she walked out of the UWL and just kept on walking. We'll keep you fans abreast of any breaking news on this situation here on 'Slam!' You can also visit uwlslam.com to keep apprised of this matter."

Announcers then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson i'viewed Arn Anderson in the locker room.

LN: "Arn, you've made it to the final of the tournament to decide who will be getting the UWL World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'. You'll be facing another member of The Firm; this time it's Dusty Rhodes. We know you've faced each other several times in your careers.

You know each other's ring style very well. Will there be any change in strategy for this match?"

AA: "There will be no change in my strategy, Larry Nelson. Dusty and I can read each other like a book inside the ring. It's all gonna be about one thing; who can hit that last big move. That's what this match will hinge on. That's the bottom line. We each know when the other will do certain things during a match. The one added dimension to this match, of course, is Firm Director Ted DiBiase. He adds a whole new wrinkle to this match. You saw what I had to do to him after I beat David Schultz earlier tonight. Ted DiBiase will be a real wildcard here.

"Ted wants that World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'. He is determined to have the UWL World Championship in The Firm's control. He's made no secret about his organization's plans. And it's obvious even to a blind man that The Firm is ratcheting up its efforts to get the title. I'm fighting a two-fold battle tonight. I want to win this match and face Roddy Piper for the title at 'Thunderstruck'. But I'm also fighting to keep another member of The Firm from getting the World Title shot they crave. Ted DiBiase is waging a withering assault on Roddy Piper. He's willing to suffer some defeats as long as he can wear down the World Champion. Because DiBiase believes that one day Piper will finally wilt and collapse under the pressure applied by The Firm and one of them will defeat Roddy Piper and become the new UWL World Champion. We UWL wrestlers must do everything we can to prevent The Firm from getting their hands on that belt. And I'm looking to do my part tonight.")

Match 8
DDP, Buzz Sawyer & Brian Blair vs. Father Dutch, Grog & The Sacred Anvil

(Gregorian chants filled the arena and Father Dutch, Grog and Sacred Anvil came to the ring to boos.

After a brief pause, music-only version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' played and out came DDP and Buzz Sawyer to a good ovation. Blair was not with them. They didn't slap hands with fans and they looked very serious. Their usual pre-match antics weren't happening.

The pair got in the ring and DDP took the mic from r.a. Lee Marshall.

DDP: "The reason you don't see Brian Blair out here with us is because Brian Blair is being taken to the hospital for x-rays. It turns out that somebody decided to sneak attack Blair and smash him in the back with a lead pipe or something along those lines. No one saw the assault. How convenient that it happened not too long ago as we were getting ready for this match.

"Father Dutch, did you or one of you congregants have anything to do with it?"

FD ripped the mic out of DDP's hands.

FD: "Dallas Page! Sinner! How dare you accuse us of attacking your sin-filled partner Brian Blair! You are so typical of the heathen! You blame devout religious men of an attack and admit that no one saw it! You just punched another hole in your punch card to Hell! You are a liar of the highest order! But, as is the standard practice of reprobates, you blame three holy men without a shred of evidence! How do we know that you or Buzz didn't do it?!"

DDP took the mic back from FD.

DDP: "What reason would we have to do it?! This was supposed to be a six-man tag team match! And no one else except you three would have any reason to attack one of us!"

FD got in DDP's face.

FD: "Maybe what happened to sinner Blair was Divine intervention! Maybe he was taken out for supernatural reasons! Did you think of that?!"

DDP: "I guess the weapon just floated through the air and hit him, huh?!"

FD (sneering): "The Lord worketh in mysterious ways."

Marshall stepped in and took the mic.

LM: "I have just gotten word in my earpiece from backstage that President Watts will allow Page and Sawyer to pick a replacement partner."

DDP shook his head 'no'.

DDP: "Naw. Naw. Brian Blair was our partner in this match. Since he can't wrestle, me and Buzz will take you guys on ourselves."

Brief pause as Marshall listened intently on his earpiece.

LM: "President Watts has decided that he will allow this match to go forward as a handicap match."

Modest cheers.

The match became a handicap match.

Buzz and DDP gave Father Dutch and crew all they could handle. Outside (divine?) intervention helped save Father Dutch's team from defeat on a couple of occasions.

At the end of the match, DDP and Grog were the legal men in the ring. DDP was on the offensive and blasted Grog with the Diamond Cutter. DDP for the cover. 1...2... Sacred Anvil came in and broke up the pin try with a stomp to the head. Buzz hit the ring and nailed Anvil with a flying shoulder tackle that sent Anvil crashing to the mat. Ref trying to get Anvil and Buzz out fo the ring. Anvil got up next to the ropes and Buzz charged at Anvil and nailed Anvil with a clothesline and the momentum sent both men flying over the top rope and toppling to the floor. DDP grabbed Grog and nailed him with a jumping DDT. On the floor, Buzz went to whip Anvil into the barricade but Anvil reversed and sent Buzz crashing into the barricade. Buzz in a heap on the floor. DDP made the Diamond sign and snapped up Grog and blasted Grog with another Diamond Cutter. DDP for the cover again. Anvil got on the apron and tried to climb back into the ring and the ref intercepted him. Anvil grabbed the ref and wouldn't let him go.

Father Dutch brandished his small steel chain and wrapped it around his right fist as DDP symbolically made the three count in frustration. DDP got up and turned around...WHAM!...Father Dutch had snuck into the ring and blasted DDP in the head with his chain-laden fist. DDP crashed to the mat. Father Dutch dragged Grog into their corner and Father Dutch went and stood on the apron and dropped the chain back into his pocket. Anvil suddenly let go of the ref and went back to his corner. Grog, now somewhat recovered, reached up and tagged in the Anvil. Anvil wasted no time in picking the dazed DDP up and blasting DDP with his finisher the forward fireman's carry slam (aka, the Wasteland). Anvil covered DDP and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as fans booed. Buzz had recoveed enough and made his way into the ring to check on DDP and see what happened.

The devilish trio started to make their way out of the ring when Father Dutch stopped them and said something to his congregants. Anvil and Grog went over and assaulted Sawyer with feet and fists and then Grog blasted Sawyer with his pumphandle slam finisher. DDP and Sawyer now both laid out. Father Dutch and crew then left the ring and headed back up the aisle to more boos as other refs came out and checked on DDP and Buzz.

WINNER: Father Dutch, Grog & The Sacred Anvil - Pinfall - Anvil pinned DDP with the Forward Fireman's Carry Slam - 8:28)

(Announcers discussed Brian Blair being mysteriously taken out backstage in an attack no one saw and FD and crew defeating DDP and Buzz in a handicap match and then Grog laying out Buzz with a pumphandle slam after the match. Hyped still to come: Tournament Final: Arn Anderson vs. Dusty Rhodes (The Firm). Said an appearance by Pres. Watts is coming up!)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson interviewed Dusty Rhodes and Ted DiBiase of The Firm in their locker room.

LN: "Dusty, you've made it to the tournament final against long-time foe Arn Anderson."

DR: "Arn Anderson. We meet again, my friend. Arn and 'Stardust' have battled each other countless times throughout our careers. We battered each other and shed a great deal of one another's blood. But we have never faced each other in a match where the stakes are as high as they are tonight! This match is not only for me...it's also for The Firm! I win tonight, jack, and we are one step closer to grabbing that World Title! Once that title is ours, we aren't letting it go! It is a key part of The Firm's master plan! Get that World Title and we take one huge step closer to holding the winning hand in our war with the UWL! The World Title is power! It gives you great leverage in this sport! And we're gonna use that leverage to force a takeover of the UWL by us! And that takeover...it can be peaceful...or it can be very, very bloody! Once that World Title is property of The Firm, then the entire UWL has to deal with us! And when we control the UWL, Arn Anderson, I'm gonna book you into oblivion, brother."

TD: "Looks like Dusty let the cat out of the bag a little pre-maturely. Yes, he is gonna be my booker when we become the masters of the UWL universe! Careers will dangle by a thread under our reign! I have the greatest confidence in Dusty in this match! He knows what it takes to win the big bouts! He knows what it takes to be a World Champion!

"I want to respond to something I heard Arn say earlier! Arn said that we will wage a withering assault on Roddy Piper until one day we own the UWL World Title! He's got that right! The Firm is gonna keep coming and coming and coming after Piper and that title until he can't stand it anymore! One man can only take so much! We know what we want and we're fighting to get it! The problem for the UWL is they may have some unity, but they don't have the unity The Firm has! And when that day comes and we run the show around here, Arn Anderson's career isn't the only UWL wrestling career that will be wrecked!")

(Video aired from last week of Pres. Watts confronting Greg Valentine about Valentine Pearl Harboring Watts' good friend Steve Williams and breaking Williams' ankle in the figure four and Valentine attacking Watts and trying to break Watts' ankle in the figure four until UWL security saved Watts.)

(In-ring: 'Born In The USA' played over the p.a. system and Pres. Watts came out to a fair response. he had a mic.

Watts was walking carefully on his left ankle and had slight limp as he made his way to the ring.

Watts got into the ring.

BW: "I have some quick announcements I need to make before I call Greg Valentine out here again.

"First, next week here on 'Slam!', Awesome Kong will be wrestling in a handicap match. Plus, Ken Patera will face Ted DiBiase of The Firm. And, we're gonna have a three way dance tag team match. The winner of the match will get the UWL World Tag Team Title match against the champions Hall and Nash at 'Thunderstruck'. The three teams will be: The Nasty Boys. The Anderson brothers. And...Lord Humongous and The Missing Link!"

Crowd cheered at the mention of Lord and Link.

BW: "Also, after what we just witnessed in the handicap match that was supposed to be a six-man tag until Brian Blair was mysteriously injured, I am ordering the six-man tag match that was supposed to happen tonight to take place at 'Thunderstruck'! Now, we don't know if Brian Blair will be able to wrestle in that match yet. If Blair can't go, then Dallas Page and Buzz Sawyer can pick a new partner to take Blair's place! Let's get ready to hook 'em up!"

Modest crowd response.

BW: "I've also got some personal news for Greg Valentine and his manager Gary Hart! You guys get to this ring...NOW!"

After a brief pause, 'All Along The Watchtower' by Hendrix played. Out came Valentine and Hart. Valentine was in casual street attire and Hart was in a suit. The pair were roundly booed. Both had mics. They got in the ring as Watts looked at them with a look of fury.

GV: "President Watts! Did you call me out here to finish the job I started last week until I was so rudely interrupted by UWL security?! I'll be glad to do it! As all the women I've been with can tell you, I'm a finisher!"

BW: "Greg, I wouldn't be bragging about hooking up with women in their double-wides that you met on Craig's List if I were you."

Valentine was suddenly not a happy camper.

Hart: "What's the reason you called us out here for? By the way, how's Steve Williams' ankle doing? Is it healing properly? I heard that Greg mangled it pretty good."

BW: "'Doc' is getting better. He's on track to be healed up in a few weeks as expected. And when he does come back, Valentine, you're in serious trouble, mister. I know Steve; and I would not want to be Greg Valentine when he returns."

GV: "Whatever. If Williams comes back I'll be wrestling a gimp! That ankle will never be the same because it was hammer-ized!"

BW: "Let me tell you two a little story about Steve Williams. One day, Steve had to wrestle on two different shows. During his match in the matinee show, he was busted open so badly that he needed 108 stitches to close the wound. For most guys, they wouldn't have worked for a long time after that. But Steve Williams isn't most guys. With 108 stitches holding him together, he wrestled his match that evening on the second show. Steve Williams is the personification of tough. And he will be back. You can say what you want, Valentine, but if Steve has to crawl on broken glass and rusty nails just to get his hands on you then he'll do it!"

GV: "Wonderful story, Watts. Why are we out here? Just so you could tell us that Steve Williams sob story?"

BW: "No."

Hart: "Let me guess. You called us out here to announce another fine for Mr. Valentine. How much is it this time?"

BW: "I'm not fining Valentine for what he did to me last week. But, if it wasn't for a great job by the UWL security team, I'd have a broken ankle also."

GV: "I could break it right now if you'd like. Then you and your pal Williams could form a tag team called The Gimps!"

BW: "I'm not fining you, Greg, because I've got another plan in mind for us. At 'Thunderstruck', I'm gonna be fighting for my good friend Steve Williams! Valentine, you and me are having a match! And you'd better pray that I don't lock you in the figure four because if I do, it might just be you who's leaving the ring with a broken ankle!"

GV: "Watts, that's music to my ears! I'm gonna thoroughly enjoy hurting you real bad! And it will all be sanctioned by the UWL Match-Making Committee! That means no fines, no suspensions! I'm gonna tear you up and it will all be offical!"

Valentine and Watts glared at each other momentarily and then Hart and Valentine left the ring as Watts looked on.)

(Announcers discussed making Watts vs. Valentine for 'Thunderstruck'.)

Match 9 (Tournament Final - Winner gets the UWL World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck')
Arn Anderson vs. Dusty Rhodes (w/ DiBiase)

(Announcers said they will stay with the match to its conclusion.

'The Fight' played over the p.a. system and Arn came to the ring to a strong ovation.

'La Grange' played and Dusty and DiBiase came to the ring. Dusty was only in his tights and boots again and DiBiase was not wearing his suit jacket. Usual mixed crowd reaction for The Firm.

Ref called for the bell.

Arn and Dusty came out of their corners. Dusty raised his elbow like he was going to bionic elbow Arn in the head and Arn stepped back. The two then circled one another again and engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Dusty was able to maneuver around in the hold and catch Arn in a hammerlock. Arn looked for ways to escape but couldn't. Dusty tightened up on the hold. Arn was then able to pull off a reversal and locked Dusty up in a hammerlock. Arn now cinched up on the hold and Dusty was hurting. Arn kept the hold locked in as Dusty was able to make it next to the ropes and drape his arm over the top rope to force a break in the hold. Arn backed off. Dusty all back in the ring. Arn came at Dusty and Dusty once again draped his arm over the top rope to force Arn to back off. Dusty slowly started to pull his arm from over the rope back into the ring. Arn came over and Dusty feigned draping his arm out over the top rope again causing Arn to hesitate and then kicked Arn in the gut. Dusty pounded away with forearms to the back and then nailed Arn with a couple of punches and then whipped Arn into the ropes and caught Arn coming off with a clothesline. Arn went down. Dusty ran and hit the ropes and came off with a running elbow smash on Arn. Dusty for the cover. 1... Arn kicked out. Dusty then popped the downed Arn in the head with a few more punches and then snapped Arn up, whipped Arn into the ropes and looked to catch Arn coming off with an elbow to the chest but Arn ducked the move and came back and nailed Dusty with a flying lariat. Dusty went down. Dusty got up and Arn grabbed Dusty, whipped Dusty into the rops and caught Dusty coming off with a backdrop. Dusty rolled out of the ring and dropped to his feet on the floor. Arn went out on the apron and jumped off and looked to nail Dusty with a double sledge to the head but Dusty moved and grabbed Arn and sent Arn crashing into the ringside barricade. Arn down next to the barricade. Dusty put the boots to Arn. As Arn got to his feet, Dusty climbed up on the apron. Just as Arn got up, Dusty came off the apron and nailed Arn with a double sledge to the head of his own. Arn crashed back against the barricade but was still on his feet.

Dusty grabbed Arn around the waist and rammed him hard back fist into the barricade. Arn went down to his knees. Dusty got back in the ring to break the ref's 20-count. Dusty distracted the ref by arguing with him (you'd think the ref would have learned by now). This gave DiBiase the chance to grab Arn and slam Arn's head into the ring post. Arn staggered off and went down. Dusty stopped arguing with the ref and left the ring and grabbed Arn and threw him back into the ring. Dusty got back in the ring and reached down to grab Arn but Arn stunned Dusty by catching Dusty in a small package. 1...2... Dusty kicked out. Dusty got up at the same time as Arn and Dusty drove a knee into Arn's gut and then slammed Arn's head into the top buckle. Dusty then walked Arn over and slammed Arn's head into the next top buckle. Dusty repeated the move on the third top buckle and then slammed Arn's head into the fourth top buckle. Arn spun around in the corner and was not in a good way. Dusty then nailed Arn with some jabs to the jaw. Dusty went to whip Arn into the opposite buckles but Arn reversed and whipped Dusty into the buckles he just came out of. Arn whipped Dusty into the same buckles three more times. Dusty in the corner. Arn then mounted the middle buckle and hammered away on Dusty with series of head shots. Arn dropped to his feet and Dusty staggered out of the corner and dropped to a knee. Arn charged at Dusty and caught Dusty with a kick to the side of the face. Dusty toppled over near the ropes. Arn for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2... Dusty reached out and managed to get a hand on the bottom rope forcing a break. Arn whipped Dusty into the ropes and looked to catch Dusty coming off with a clothesline but Dusty ducked the move and came back and caught Arn with a flying crossbody. Dusty for the cover. 1...2... Arn kicked out.

Dusty got up and grabbed Arn and started pulling him up when Arn caught Dusty with a couple of gut punches that briefly stunned Rhodes and Rhodes stepped back. Arn moved in on Dusty and Dusty caught Arn with a kick that appeared a little low and then Dusty blasted away on Arn with a series of bionic elbows to the top of the head. Arn staggered. Dusty then nailed Arn with a double sledge to the side of the face. Arn went down. Dusty for the cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Arn kicked out. Dusty then whipped Arn into the ropes and bent down and looked to catch Arn coming off with a backdrop but Arn instead stunned Dusty with a DDT. Both men down. Arn crawled over and covered Dusty. 1...2...2-3/4... Dusty kicked out. Crowd groaned. Arn grabbed Dusty and whipped Dusty into the buckles and followed Dusty in with a rapid-fire series of shoulder blocks to the mid-section. Dusty hurting. Arn then repaid Dusty for the earlier turnbuckle tour by walking Dusty around the ring and slamming Dusty's head into all four top buckles. Dusty staggered out of the corner next to the ropes and Arn popped Dusty with a couple of quick head shots and then backed up and charged at Dusty and Dusty bent down and backdropped Arn over the top rope down to the floor. Dusty shook out the effects of Arn's assault and then went to go after him on the floor but the ref stopped Dusty and ordered him to stand back. Ref started the 20-count as Arn stirred on the floor. Dusty went to go after Arn once more but the ref stopped him again and the ref started pushing Dusty back and ordered Dusty to stay back. Dusty grabbed the ref by the sleeve and was arguing with him. Ref ordered Dusty to let go. The two were arguing. Just as Arn got to his feet on the floor, DiBiase came over and was going to attack Arn but Arn looked and saw DiBiase coming and Arn stunned DiBiase with a spinebuster on the floor. DiBiase down. Crowd went nuts as Arn looked out at them. Announcers pointed out that Arn had spinebusted DiBiase twice tonight.

Arn then got on the ring apron as Dusty came over. Arn leaned through the top and middle rope and hit Dusty with a couple of shoulder blocks to the mid-section. Dusty backed up and was doubled over. Arn got into the ring and started to grab Dusty by the sides of the head when Dusty suddenly shot straight up and the top of Dusty's head slammed into Arn's jaw. Both men went down and Dusty was holding the top of head and Arn was holding his jaw over near the ropes. Ref was looking at both men. DiBiase recovered enough on the floor to brandish his fingerless black glove from his pants pocket. Arn grabbed the ropes as the ref looked at the still downed Dusty. Arn had has head leaned out between the top and middle rope...WHAM!...DiBiase blasted Arn with a black glove-laden punch behind the ref's back. Arn fell back into the ring and was grabbing the top of his head in great pain. Dusty grabbed the top rope and slowly pulled himself to his feet. DiBiase had put the incriminating evidence back into his pocket. DiBiase was grabbing at his back as he still felt the effects of the earlier spinebuster. Rhodes went over and grabbed the still downed Arn. Dusty hoisted Arn up and blasted Arn with the 'Stardust Driver' (aka, inverted piledriver). Dusty covered Arn and didn't hook the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. More boos than cheers for Dusty.

Dusty got to his feet and the ref raised Dusty's hand in victory as a tired Dusty got a thin smile on his face. As the ref checked on Arn, Dusty left the ring and met DiBiase at ringside. Ted, still favoring his back, grimaced as he raised Dusty's hand in victory to more boos and some garbage thrown in the dastadly pairs direction.

WINNER: Rhodes - Pinfall - 'Stardust Driver' - 12:39)

(Announcers quickly hyped DiBiase vs. Patera for next week's program as the show went off the air.)

END PROGRAM

UWL 'SLAM!' WRESTLING - EP. 123 - CASPER, WY - CASPER EVENTS CENTER - 5-28-13 (Live)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Steve Stack and Joe Pedicino welcomed viewers and then ran down the program: Ken Patera vs. Firm Director Ted DiBiase; an interview with UWL World Champion Roddy Piper; Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match - Winner gets the World Tag Team Title shot at 'Thunderstruck': The Nasty Boys vs. The Anderson Bros. vs. Lord Humongous & The Missing Link; JJ Dillon and Wahoo McDaniel are here; Handicap Match: Awesome Kong vs. Mad Maxine & Ashley Cartier; DDP and Buzz Sawyer make an appearance and announce if Blair can wrestle at 'Thunderstruck' in the six-man tag or if they'll have to select a substitute partner; Rip Oliver vs. Lex Luger; Non-Title: Rick Steiner (PC) vs. David Schultz; another 'Thunderstruck' PPV Update; and more!)

(In-ring: The Firm made their way to the ring to the strains of 'Money' by Pink Floyd. Usual mixed crowd reaction.

DiBiase was in a ring jacket, tights and boots. Schultz was in his ring attire and the rest of the group was wearing street clothes. Hall and Nash had the tag belts slung over their shoulders. Once in the ring, the group soaked in the crowd reaction. DiBiase, Nash and Rhodes all had mics.

Nash: "Tonight, Scott Hall and 'Big Sexy' find out who will be their opponents at 'Thunderstruck'! Who will it be?! Will it be the Anderson brothers?! Will it be The Nasty Boys?! Or will it be...Lord Humongous and The Missing link?!"

Crowd cheered the mention of Lord and Link.

Nash: "It doesn't matter who it is! We'll take care of 'em! We're not letting go of these titles! But, I have to admit, that I'm hoping Lord Humongous and Missing Link win! Those guys are a real problem as far as The Firm is concerned! They're the team that really pisses us off! We beat them and it's another team that we can toss out of the title picture and send a message to! And that message is that it's bad to mess with us! Those two ogres need to have some common sense beaten into them! And Hall and Nash are the guys who can do it!"

Hall took the mic.

Hall: "I couldn't agree more, Big Kev! Even though we'll run roughshod over the team we have to face no matter who it is, Lord Humongous and The Missing Link deserve to feel our wrath more than any other team out there! I wonder if they even know that when they messed with us they were signing a warrant to have their asses kicked! Could you imagine Link and Humongous as the champions?! There would probably be bites taken out of these belts if they got them! Do they even know what these titles mean?! They mean you're the best tag team on the entire planet! You people don't want a couple of belt eaters to be the champs, do you?! We want them in a match to drive home the point once and for all that you don't screw with The Firm! They'd be much better off if they just went back to the cave they emerged from during some cataclysmic event thousands of years ago and light fires by rubbing two sticks together and drawing stupid looking wall art! If those guys became the champs it would set tag team wrestling back millions, if not billions of years, man!"

Rude took the mic.

Rude: "You know, I don't have an opponent for 'Thunderstruck'! But there's one guy I'd like to get my hands on in the ring! And that's the man who was the first man Ted DiBiase signed up to be part of his elite organization! He started out real good for us! But over time he showed he just didn't have what it took to be a member of The Firm! That man is Ken Patera! How about it Ken?! You and the 'Ravishing One' in Seattle on June 9th?! After you lose to Ted DiBiase tonight, you can lose to another member of The Firm at 'Thunderstruck'!"

Adonis got on the mic.

Adonis: "Lex Luger! We're just 12 days away from our little fight at 'Thunderstruck'! I can't wait! I want the next 12 days to fly by! Because I'm gonna tear those pretty boy looks and that muscleman body of yours apart and I'm gonna show everyone that my ring smarts and ring skills trump your power wrestling! Luger! You're gonna feel what it's like to be in a fight in Hell's Kitchen and you're not gonna like it one bit! The New York tough guy vs. the Florida pretty boy! You all need to pony up the money for the pay-per-view to see just how ugly it's gonna get for Mr. Luger!"

Schultz took the mic.

Schultz: "I've got a match with President's Champion Rick Steiner tonight! However, it's non-title! Rick, I know you're litening to this, boy! Why don't we make this match a little more interesting?! Let's make our match...no disqualification! Anything goes, son! The rules go right out the window! And, to make things even more interesting than that, if I beat you tonight, I get a President's Championship match at 'Thunderstruck'?! What do you say, Ricky?! You man enough to do that?!"

Rhodes: "Arn Anderson. In the biggest match we've ever had with each other...'Stardust' prevailed. I knew it was gonna happen. You see, it is the destiny of The Firm to win the UWL World Title! That is the title of titles; the belt of belts! I wasn't gonna be denied! And now, I've got Roddy Piper for all the marbles at 'Thunderstruck'! Piper! You've successfully defended the big gold against two members of The Firm already! But look around! There's seven of us and only one of you! You are now facing a non-stop assault from us! We're coming at you from every direction imaginable! You can only stave off the inevitable for so long! And I'm gonna make a prediction right now! Dusty Rhodes becomes the new UWL World Champion in 12 days! Schultz and Rude wore you down! Now it's time for someone to take advantage of you in a weakened state! We don't care how we have to get the title! We want that title in The Firm's control because the World Title is power! It forces the UWL to have to play ball with us! And The Firm only plays hardball! But even after I beat you and become the new World Champion, The Firm will not stop it's all-out assault on you! Piper, you are the UWL's franchise player! You're the man! So not only are you gonna lose the World Title to The Firm; you're also gonna be toppled from your position as the UWL's top star! And then there will be a void that needs to be filled! And you're looking at the men who will fill it!"

Ted: "Dusty! I am counting on you at 'Thunderstruck'! That belt has to become the property of The Firm! I know that you're a man who can back up what he says! I'm holding you to your promise, Dusty!"

Rhodes: "You'll have your belt, Director DiBiase."

Ted: "That's what I wanted to hear. But I want to focus on tonight right now.

"Poor Ken Patera! He's such a bitter man! He couldn't cut it as a member of The Firm and last week he lost to Dusty Rhodes in the tournament to see who would get the World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'! Patera then went and begged for this match tonight between he and I! You got your wish, Ken! But you know that they say?! Be careful of what you wish for! Hahahaha! You're one of the leaders for the UWL in their war with us! And just like last week, you'll suffer another personal blow at my hands this week! Patera! You're facing the Director of The Firm! I'm the man who signed you and I'm the man who ordered you booted from the group because you couldn't hack it! This match will be one of the biggest setbacks for the UWL side so far! You want to beat me, Ken! You want to destroy me! But I'm not gonna let that happen!"

Crowd popped as Arn Anderson walked out on the entrance stage in street clothes with mic in hand.

Arn: "Ted, your man Dusty may have won the tournament last week; but you're the man who won it for him."

Ted: "What?!"

Arn: "Here's something to refresh your memory."

Video aired from last week of DiBiase blasting Arn while wearing his fingerless black glove and knocking Arn senseless and making Arn easy prey for Dusty to finish off.

Arn: "What's done is done, Ted. I'm not getting that World Title shot now. And it's all thanks to you."

Ted: "You're welcome, Arn. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Arn: "I'm glad you asked. There is indeed something else you can do for me, Ted?"

Ted: "And what would that be?"

Arn reached into his back pocket and brandished a folded up, stapled set of papers.

Arn: "I've been talking with President Watts. This is a contract. My signature's already on it. Now, all you have to do is sign it and we've got a match with each other at 'Thunderstruck'."

Crowd cheered.

Ted: "Arn, I don't know why you want to keep torturing yourself by tangling with The Firm. It seems to turn out bad for you so often. But, when I get backstage I'll sign the contract. And when all is said and done, you're gonna be the man who wished he'd never signed it! Hahahaha!"

'Money' started to play when ring announcer Lee Marshall got up on the apron with mic in hand.

LM: "Before The Firm leaves the ring, I've just gotten word that President Watts has agreed to the stipulation for the Schultz-Steiner match that if Schultz beats Steiner in the non-title affair then Schultz will get a President's Championship shot at 'Thunderstruck'. However, he said the match will not be no disqualification. And, Ken Patera has agreed to face Rick Rude at 'Thunderstruck' as well."

'Money' started to play again and The Firm left the ring to the usual mixed crowd reaction.)

(Announcers discussed The Firm talk segment and Watts making Rude vs. Patera for 'Thunderstruck' and adding the stip that if Schultz beats President's Champion Steiner in their non-title match tonight then Schultz will wrestle Steiner for the belt at 'Thunderstruck'. Said the Handicap Match: Awesome Kong vs. Mad Maxine & Ashley Cartier was next!)

(Video aired from last week of Kong destroying Luna in a match and Madusa coming out and attacking Kong and Kong laying Madusa out.)

Match 1 (Handicap Match)
Awesome Kong (w/ Slick) vs. Mad Maxine & Ashley Cartier

(Cartier and Maxine came to the ring to a modest ovation.

'Cry Of The Vatos' by Oingo Boingo played over the p.a. system and Kong and Slick came to the ring to fairly strong boos. Slick was in a suit and wearing his trademark fedora.

Announcers pointed out that Maxine and Cartier had to tag out to each other.

Kong started off the match dominating Cartier. Kong could have ended the match quickly, but instead threw Cartier back into her corner. Cartier tagged in Maxine. The larger Maxine gave Kong more of a battle but Kong then took control and was able to hoist 6'+ Maxine in the air and blast her with the implant buster (aka, lifting double underhook facebuster). Kong covered Maxine and didn't even bother to hook the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

WINNER: Kong - Pinfall - Kong pinned Cartier with the Implant Buster - 3:49)

(After the match: After the ref raised Kong's hand in victory, Kong turned to leave the ring as Cartier got in the ring to check on Maxine. Slick pointed and ordered Kong to take out Cartier as well. Cartier was knelt down beside Maxine as Kong came up behind Cartier and pulled Cartier to her feet by her hair. Cartier screaming. Kong chokeslammed Cartier. Kong then picked up Cartier and blasted Cartier with the implant buster. Slick was cheering her on from the floor. Crowd popped as Madusa, in street clothes and carrying the Women's Title, came charging to the ring. Madusa got in the ring and came up behind Kong and bashed Kong across the back fo the head with the title. Belt shot stunned Kong. Madusa tossed the title aside as Kong spun around and Madusa started firing away on Kong with punches. Kong fought back and the women were brawling in the ring. UWL security hit the ring and, after a brief struggle, was able to separate the two. One UWL security member held Madusa as Madusa was swinging and kicking at the air in an attempt to get free. Slick was also in the ring and keeping Kong back. Madusa broke free from the security member's grasp and she jumped on and started hitting...Slick. Crowd popped as Slick covered up. Security restrained Kong and was able to pull Madusa off Slick. Security finally got Madusa out of the ring and were leading her back up the aisle. Slick got a hold of the Women's World Title and the r.a. mic.

Slick: "Madusa! You forgot something, ba-by!"

Slick held the title up. Madusa looked back and saw it and tried to break through security and get to the ring and get the belt but she was restrained.

Slick: "Hey! I got an idea! I'll just give the title to Awesome Kong since she's gonna be the next UWL Women's World Champion anyway!"

Slick handed the title to Kong and Kong held it up with one hand as a furious Madusa looked on from the aisle. Madusa couldn't get past security to try and get the belt.

Slick: "I give y'all the NEW Women's World Champion...Awesome Kong!"

Slick raised Kong's hand in victory as a riled up Madusa could only look on before being hustled to the back by security.)

(Announcers discussed Kong winning the handicap match and another physical confrontation between her and Madusa. Hyped still to come: Ken Patera vs. Firm Director Ted DiBiase; an interview with UWL World Champion Roddy Piper; Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match - Winner gets the World Tag Team Title shot at 'Thundertstruck': The Nasty Boys vs. The Anderson Bros. vs. Lord Humongous & The Missing Link; JJ Dillon and Wahoo McDaniel are here; Rip Oliver vs. Lex Luger; Non-Title: Rick Steiner (PC) vs. David Schultz; another 'Thunderstruck' PPV Update; and more! Said DDP and Buzz Sawyer make an appearance and announce if Blair can wrestle at 'Thunderstruck' in the six-man tag or if they'll have to select a substitute partner next!)

(Video aired for the 'Deja Vu Presents: Thunderstruck' PPV - Sunday - June 9 - Seattle, WA - Key Arena - 8pm E/5pm P - Tickets on sale NOW!)

(Video aired from last week where DDP and Buzz Sawyer came to the ring for their 6-man tag against Father Dutch, Grog and The Sacred Anvil and DDP announcing that their partner, Brian Blair, had been mysteriously assaulted in the back in an attack that was seen by no one and DDP and Buzz wrestling a handicap match against Father Dutch and his congregants and Saced Anvil pinning DDP thanks to outside interference by Father Dutch.)

(In-ring: Music-only version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' played over the p.a. system and out came DDP and Buzz Sawyer. They were in street clothes and DDP had a mic. They got a good ovation. When they got to the bottom of the ramp, DDP made the Diamond sign and did the 'Bang!' gesture as pyro went off on the entrance stage. On the way to the ring, Buzz barked and slapped hands with fans. DDP also did the hand slapping.

Once in the ring, Buzz ran around barking and the crowd barked back and DDP stood on the middle buckle and made the Diamond sign again and briefly played to the crowd before getting down to business.

DDP: "I have an update on the status of Brian Blair. As you know, Brian should be standing out here with me and Buzz. But, thanks to a mysterious attack backstage last week, Brian's lower back was injured. Brian visited a couple of specialists over the last few days and they both came to the same conclusion. Brian's injury is bad enough that he's gonna be on the shelf for a while. Now, for what I have to say next, I was really hoping that Father Dutch and his congregants could come to the ring."

After a brief pause, Father Dutch, The Sacred Anvil & Grog came to the ring. Father Dutch was in his priest's attire. The Sacred Anvil was in his Mormon missionary-style attire. Grog was in his silver and black mask and silver and black tights with silver crosses on the outside of each leg. Dutch and Anvil had mics. The trio got into the ring. They received a decent amount of boos.

FD: "So, Dallas. Did you call us out here because you are going to repent of your sinful ways and give your life over to me and become a member of my congregation?"

DDP: "That'll never happen in a million years, Father Dutch. If self-righteous twits like you are gonna be the ones occupying the kingdom, then I hope I'm sent in the other direction to live for eternity."

FD: "Don't mock the faith, boy. You will either be greatly rewarded or severely punished in the afterlife. And the way you're going right now, you're gonna suffer harsh punishment unless you renounce your wicked ways and let me guide you down the path of righteousness. Follow me, Dallas. Follow me."

DDP: "I didn't come out here to talk religion with you, Father Dutch. But this is a holy war. And Buzz Sawyer is one of my Crusaders against you. And guess what? The newest Crusader is here tonight. He will be our partner in the six-man tag match at 'Thunderstruck'. New Crusader! Come on down!"

'The Bird' by Morris Day and the Time played over the p.a. system. Crowd popped as out on the entrance stage walked Koko B. Ware in street clothes. Koko made his way to the ring and slapped hands along the way. He had a mic. Koko got up on the apron and started flapping his arms like a bird and fans responded in kind. Koko got in the ring.

Koko: "Crusader Koko B. Ware is reporting for duty, Crusader Dallas!"

The two shook hands and then Koko repeated the gesture with Buzz.

FD: "Koko B. Ware. The 'Birdman'. You know, the most famous 'Birdman' in history was a prisoner at Alcatraz. Was that you, Koko? Were you that 'Birdman'?"

Koko: "Father Dutch, are you trying to imply because I'm a black man that I'm a criminal?"

FD: "If the race fits, son... Actually, it's nice to see that a little color is going to be added to our match at 'Thunderstruck'."

Anvil: "Pardon me, Father Dutch. I think you mean a 'little colored'. A little colored is being added to the match. Hahahaha!"

Koko moved towards Father Dutch and his congregants and DDP restrained Koko.

DDP: "They're just playing mind games with you, Koko! Don't fall into their trap! That's just what they want you to do! You guys had just better pray that we show you some mercy at 'Thunderstruck', man!"

Koko: "Father Dutch! The Big Man in the Sky may be forgiving...but I ain't! In 12 days, I'm gonna personally minister to you in a way that you ain't gonna like!"

FD: "I don't see how you're gonna be able to 'minister' to me in the way you're threatening to."

Koko: "And why is that?!"

FD: "Because when throw a punch your lips will get in the way..."

Koko went to go after Father Dutch but DDP and Buzz now held him back.

DDP: "Father Dutch! You've really crossed a line! Prepare to have a can of righteous whoop-ass opened on you and your mindless followers at 'Thunderstruck'!"

The two sides stared each other down as the segment ended.)

(Announcers discussed the controversial confrontation between Father Dutch and his congregants and DDP, Buzz Sawyer and their new partner Koko B. Ware. Said Rip Oliver vs. Lex Luger was coming up!)

(Backstage: Pres. Watts was standing in the hall and reading something on a clipboard. Rick Steiner walked up to him.

Rick: "President Watts, can I talk to you for a minute."

BW: "Sure."

Rick: "You allowed my match with David Schultz tonight to be a match where if Schultz wins he gets a President's Championship shot at 'Thunderstruck'. But you're not allowing it to be a no disqualification match."

BW: "That's right. I just don't think it needs to be no disqualification."

Rick: "David Schultz is a member of The Firm. We're at war with The Firm. This needs to be a match where I can fight this guy tooth-and-claw. Like Roddy Piper said a couple of weeks ago, we need to attack these guys head on. A no disqualification match would serve that purpose. We need to fight The Firm at their own game. It will be survival of the fittest, which is what war is all about. It shows we UWL wrestlers mean business."

BW: "Since you put it that way, Rick, I'm gonna go ahead and make this a no disqualification match. Just make sure you have some guys watching your back because you know how The Firm likes to operate."

Rick: "I'll leave the doggie door open for the UWL boys just in case! Woof! Woof! Woof!")

Match 2
Rip Oliver vs. Lex Luger

(As Oliver came to the ring to boos, video aired from two weeks ago where Rip triggered his re-match clause for a TV Title match against Hugh Morrus and Rip also challenging Hugh to add the stip that the loser must leave the UWL and Hugh accepting and Watts coming out and making the match official for 'Thunderstruck'.

Luger came to the ring to a solid ovation and slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Short match and neither man could gain a firm advantage during it.

At the end of the match, Rip had just gained the advantage. After nailing Luger with some punches, Rip whipped Luger into the ropes and looked to catch Lex coming off with a clothesline but Luger ducked the move and came back and dropped Rip with a forearm smash to the head. Adonis, in his ring gear, hit the ring. Luger turned and saw Adonis and caught Adonis with a powerslam. Crowd popped. Luger signaled he was going to rack Adonis. Oliver recovered and came up behind Luger and hit Luger with a sitout rear mat slam. Oliver assumed the position to superkick Luger. This brought out Hugh Morrus, also in his ring gear but minus the belt. Hugh hit the ring, spun Rip around, nailed Rip with some punches, whipped Rip into the ropes and caught Rip coming off with his flying headbutt to the chest. Rip crashed to the mat near the ropes and rolled out of the ring and dropped to the floor. Ref called for the bell. Adonis had recovered enough to also escape from the ring to the floor. Luger had recovered and got to his feet and he and Hugh stood tall in the ring as the fans cheered.

DECISION: Match thrown out - 4:05)

(Announcers talked about Adonis and Morrus getting involved in the Oliver-Luger match. The Anderson Bros. vs. Lord Humongous & The Missing Link; Non-Title No DQ Match: Rick Steiner (PC) vs. David Schultz; another 'Thunderstruck' PPV Update; and more! (Video aired showing clips from the last two weeks of Harley telling JJ he has to pick who he wants to manage, himself or Wahoo and JJ not rendering a decision; JJ costing Harley his match with Ken Patera later that night when JJ intentionally low-blowed Harley while Wahoo distracted the ref; and Harley getting revenge last week by coming out and low-blowing JJ while JJ was out managing Wahoo during Wahoo's tournament match with Rick Steiner. Race paid Wahoo back by distracting Wahoo which allowed Steiner to score the victory in the match.)

(In-ring: JJ and Wahoo came to the ring. Wahoo was in street clothes and JJ was in a suit. Both had mics. They were strongly booed.

JJ: "In case it hasn't become abundantly clear, Halrey Race is no longer a member of JJ Dillon Enterprises. Now, Harley Race is a hunted man by JJ Dillon Enterprises. Harley! Last week, you made two big mistakes! First, you attacked me in a completely unprovoked fashion! And, your attack on me distracted Wahoo in his tournament match and cost Wahoo a chance at getting another shot at Roddy Piper for the UWL World Title!

"You were never grateful for what I did for you, Harley! I made you a three-time President's Champion! I made you a World Tag Team Champion! But the only thing you had been doing recently was complaining! You whined because I was focusing my energies on guiding Wahoo to a second UWL World Title reign! And he would be the World Champion right now if you hadn't screwed up so bad and did what you were supposed to do at 'Spring Mayhem'! Sometimes, Harley, you can't always be in the spotlight! You needed to set that big ego of yours aside and be a team player! But you couldn't do it! You couldn't handle having to step back and let Wahoo have his moment! Oh no! Instead, you decided to offer me...me...an ultimatum! I could manage you or I could manage Wahoo; I couldn't manage both! How dare you try and tell me how to manage! In case you've forgotten, Harley, I am the manager of champions in the UWL! And you think you can put me on the spot and challenge my authority?!

"In your match with Ken Patera two weeks ago, you had to be taught that you never put the manager of champions on the spot! So I, along with Wahoo, devised a plan to cost you that match! And it worked to perfection! But you just couldn't accept it as a hard lesson learned! You had to attack me last week and destroy Wahoo's World Title chances in the process! That was the final straw! As I laid on the ground holding my nuts after you low-blowed me, I made the decision right then and there that you would never work for me again! The split is now official and the damage you have caused to our relationship, Harley, is now irreversible! You are a..."

Fair positive crowd reaction as Race, in street clothes, came out on the entrance stage. He had a mic. Race walked to the ring and got in. Wahoo glaring at Race.

HR: "First of all, JJ, you need to shut up!"

Crowd cheered.

HR: "This was never about me stepping back and letting Wahoo have the limelight as he chased Roddy Piper for the UWL World Title! That's not a problem for me! I understood the aims and goals of JJ Dillon Enterprises! But, you went out of your way to humiliate me! I've had a great career! These fans know that! 8-Time World Champion! That says it all! Yet, you have me carrying yours and Wahoo's bags into the arena and the hotel! You have me shine your shoes! You treat me like I'm some jabroni at the bottom of the card! Every man has his breaking point, JJ! And when I made that ultimatum that you either manage Wahoo or me but not both of us, that was the beginning of the end of our relationship! You made it quite clear later that night when you two conspired to cost me my match against Ken Patera, a match that if I would have won would have put me in last week's tournament for the World Title shot at 'Thunderstruck'! Last week, I got a little payback!"

WM: "What you did last week, Harley, was cost me something that should have been mine! I should be the man facing Roddy Piper for the World Title at 'Thunderstruck'! Once again, Harley Race screws things up for me! This is unacceptable! Forget the World Title right now! Harley, you and me, we've got some personal business of our own to settle in this ring! I want you in a match at 'Thunderstruck'!"

HR: "I couldn't agree more! Getting you in the ring will..."

Ring Announcer Lee Marshall, standing on the floor, interrupted Race.

LM: "Excuse me, Harley! I have just gotten word that President Watts has said this match will take place at 'Thunderstruck'!"

WM: "Harley! Prepare to be taught a lesson in respect on June 9th!

HR: "Wahoo! You need to prepare for an old school ass-whipping! And after I finish with you, I'm gonna unleash my fury on him!" (Race pointed at JJ.)

JJ backed up and Wahoo stepped in front of him and Wahoo got in Harley's face as the two men had a nose-to-nose staredown as the segment ended.)

Match 3 (Non-Title No DQ Match: If Schultz wins he gets a President's Championship shot at 'Thunderstruck')
Rick Steiner (PC) vs. David Schultz (The Firm)

(Schultz came to the ring first to 'Money' by Pink Floyd. He got a mixed crowd reaction.

'Welcome To The Jungle' played over the p.a. system and out came Rick Steiner. Solid ovation for Rick. He had the title around his waist. Steiner made his way to the ring barking and slapping hands. Steiner then ran around ringside and barked some more and was slapping more hands.

As Rick was making his way around the ring, Schultz came off the apron and nailed Steiner with a flying clothesline. Steiner went down and the ref called for the bell to start the match. Schultz grabbed Steiner and slammed Steiner head first into the ringside barricade twice. Schultz then sent Steiner crashing into the ring steps. Steiner down in a heap. Schultz leaned over Steiner and yanked off the President's Championship. Schultz then started beating Steiner with the belt and then tossed it aside and grabbed Steiner and tossed Steiner into the ring. Schultz went for the quick cover. 1...2... Steiner kicked out. Schultz nailed the downed Steiner with some head shots and then snapped Steiner up and whipped Steiner into the buckles. Schultz charged at Steiner and nailed Steiner with a flying knee to the chest. Steiner hurting in the corner. Schultz went to nail Steiner with a running bulldog but Steiner shoved Schultz off and Schultz crashed to the mat. Both men down. Schultz and Steiner both got to their feet and Steiner nailed Schultz with a head shot and Schultz responded with an eye rake. Schultz whipped Steiner into the ropes and looked to catch Steiner coming off with a clothesline but Steiner ducked the move and came back and dropped Schultz with Steiner Line. Schultz got to his feet and Steiner blasted him with a second Steiner Line. Schultz got up next to the ropes and Steiner drove Schultz over the top rope down to the floor with another Steiner Line. Rick followed Schultz out to the floor. Steiner grabbed Schultz and slammed Schultz head first into the ringside barricade. Schultz turned around and Steiner grabbed Schultz around the waist and hit a belly-to-belly suplex on the floor. Crowd popped.

Announcers re-iterated that this was a no DQ affair. Steiner grabbed Schultz and slammed Schultz's head into the announcers' table. Steiner then grabbed Schultz around the waist and rammed Schultz back-first into the ringside barricade. Steiner then backed up and charged at Schultz but Schultz moved and Steiner crashed into the ringside barricade. Schultz went over and reached under the ring and brandished a steel chair as Rick was extricating himself from the barricade. Schultz came up behind Rick and bashed Rick three times across the back with the chair. Steiner turned around and Schultz nailed Steiner in the head with the chair. Steiner went down. Schultz then drove the end of the chair into Steiner's throat. Nothing the ref could do. Schultz tossed the chair, grabbed Steiner and threw Steiner back into the ring. Schultz grabbed the chair and climbed up on the apron and then started climbing up to the top buckle as Steiner was getting to his feet. Schultz came off the top rope and attempted to hit Steiner in the head with the chair but Steiner instead caught Schultz with a gut shot. Schultz held on to the chair. Steiner on his feet but hurting. This gave Schultz a few precious seconds to recover and Schultz raised the chair and went to hit Steiner with it again but Steiner kicked the chair into Schultz's face. Schultz staggered backwards, dropped the chair and crashed to the mat. Ref tossed the chair to the floor. Steiner yanked Schultz up and slammed Schultz's head into the top buckle. Schultz turned around in the corner and Steiner laid into him with a series of head and body punches and then blasted Schultz with a running bulldog. Steiner slow in making the cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Schultz got a shoulder up. Crowd groaned. Steiner grabbed Schultz and whipped Schultz into the ropes and caught Schultz coming off with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex. Schultz crashed to the mat and rolled over next to the ropes.

Schultz got on all fours and Steiner kicked Schultz in the ribs a couple of times. Steiner grabbed Schultz and whipped Schultz into the ropes and looked to leapfrog Schultz coming off but Schultz's head collided with Steiner's groin. Steiner went down and Schultz went down to his knees. Schultz got up and went out on the apron and mounted the top buckle as a hurting Steiner got to his feet. Schultz came off the top rope and nailed Steiner with an elbow smash to the head. Steiner went down. Schultz covered Steiner and held the tights for the pin try. 1...2...2-3/4... Steiner kicked out. Crowd buzzing. Steiner started to get to his feet and was bent over and Schultz closed in and nailed Steiner with a running knee lift to the chest. Steiner snapped back and crashed to the mat. Schultz left the ring and reached under the ring and brandished a fire extinguisher. Steiner slowly recovering in the ring. Schultz got in the ring and turned to the crowd and raised the extinguisher over his head. Bad move. Steiner recovered and Schultz turned around and was greeted by a series of punches. The stunned Schultz dropped the extinguisher. Steiner whipped Schultz into the ropes and caught Schultz coming off with a Steiner Line. Schultz crashed to the mat. The dazed Schultz got to his feet and Steiner grabbed Schultz and hoisted him across his shoulders. Steiner nailed Schultz with the 'Steiner Driver' (aka, Death Valley Driver). Crowd popped. Steiner covered Schultz and hooked the leg. 1...2... No! Kevin Nash charged down to ringside, reached in the ring and grabbed the ref by the ankles and yanked the ref out of the ring to the floor. Ref landed on his feet.

Ref was on the floor having words with Nash. Steiner got up and went over by the ropes and was having words with Nash. Rude charged down to ringside and picked up the chair that had been used earlier in the bout. Rude climbed into the ring with the chair and was preparing to hit the distracted Steiner with it when the crowd popped as Ken Patera, in his ring attire, hit the ring and tackled Rude to the mat. Rude dropped the chair and bailed from the ring with Patera giving chase. Schultz recovering. As Steiner turned to go back to Schultz, Nash reached in the ring and pulled Steiner's legs out from under him. Steiner went down but got back up quickly as Nash climbed up on the apron. Ref distracted by Steiner and Nash. Steiner went over and had more words with Nash as Scott Hall hit the ring. Hall picked up the chair. Nash went to hit Steiner but Steiner blocked the punch and nailed Nash with a trio of punches. Nash was holding onto the top rope but the third head shot caused Nash to lose his grip on the rope and crash to the floor. Steiner turned around...WHAM!...Hall clocked Steiner over the head with the chair. Steiner crashed to the mat. Ref saw it but their was nothing he could do. Schultz, now recovered, high-fived Hall, then Schultz grabbed Steiner and blasted Steiner with the Redneck Death Drop (aka, Scorpion Death Drop). Schultz covered Steiner and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Ref raised Schultz's hand in victory.

WINNER: Schultz - Pinfall - Redneck Death Drop - 12:13)

(After the match: The Firm trio wasn't finished. Hall went out on the floor and pulled a table out from under the ring and slid it in the ring. Schultz stomped on the downed Steiner. Ref tried to get the trio out of the ring, but Schultz turned and dropped the ref with a punch. Nash recovered and got back in the ring as Schultz and Hall set up the table in the middle of the ring. Hall gestured for Nash to powerbomb Steiner through the table. Schultz and Hall looked on as Nash methodically went over and grabbed Steiner and was preparing to powerbomb Steiner through the table, the crowd exploded as Lord Humongous and The Missing Link charged to the ring. As soon as they hit the ring, Nash let go of Steiner and he, Hall and Schultz bailed to the floor before Lord and Link could get their hands on them.

Lord and Link looked down at Hall, Nash and Schultz as other UWL ref's came to the ring to try and restore some order. Hall, Nash and Schultz made their way back up the aisle as some garbage flew in their direction as Schultz defiantly raised his arms victoriously in the air during the walk back.)

(Announcers discussed Schultz winning the No DQ match over President's Champ Steiner and earning a President's Championship shot at 'Thunderstruck'.)

(Announcers intro'd video from last week of Pres. Watts confronting Greg Valentine about Valentine attacking Watts two weeks ago.

VIDEO (edited):

BW: "I've also got some personal news for Greg Valentine and his manager gary Hart! You guys get to this ring...NOW!"

After a brief pause, 'All Along The Watchtower' by Hendrix played. Out came Valentine and Hart. Valentine was in casual street attire and Hart was in a suit. The pair was roundly booed. Both had mics. They got in the ring as Watts looked at them with a look of fury.

Hart: "What's the reason you called us out here for? By the way, how's Steve Williams' ankle doing? Is it healing properly? I heard that Greg had mangled it pretty good."

I'm gonna thoroughly hurting you real bad! And it will all be sanctioned by the UWL Match-Making Committee! That means no fines, no suspensions! I'm gonna tear you up and it will all be offical!"

Valentine and Watts glared at each other momentarily and then Hart and Valentine left the ring as Watts looked on.)

(Announcers hyped Valentine vs. Pres. Watts for 'Thunderstruck'. Said Triple Threat #1 Contender's Tag Team match was coming up next!)

Match 4 (Triple Threat #1 Contender's Tag Team Match - Winner gets the World Tag Team Title shot at 'Thunderstruck')
The Nasty Boys vs. The Anderson Brothers vs. Lord Humongous & The Missing Link (w/ mgr. Dark journey)

(Back from commercial, the Anderson brothers and the Nastys were already in the ring.

Music-only version of 'Breaking The Law' by Judas Priest blared over the p.a. system. Crowd popped big-time when Lord, Link and Journey made their way out on the stage and down to the ring. Lord got on the apron, pounded his chest and pointed at the other two teams as Link slammed his head against the ring post three times. Lord stepped over the top rope into the ring and Link got in and stomped around and slammed his own head into the top turnbuckle.

Announcers pointed out that one man from each team was legally allowed in the ring during the match.

Ole and Gene were the Anderson team and Lars was out on the floor.

All three teams were doing their best to get the victory. Early in the match, Link had run at the ropes and was going to come off and try and hit a move on Ole when Lars reached up and pulled down the top rope and Link toppled over it and crashed to floor. Ref saw it, stopped the match and ordered Lars to head to the back. After a brief argument with the ref, Gene dropped to the floor and had a brief conversation with Lars and Lars finally left.

Ref re-started the match. All three teams had chances to win in the short affair. Wrestlers cost each other pins and saved their own partner from defeat by breaking up pins.

At the end of the match, Gene, Sags and Lord were the legal men in the ring. Sags hit a front powerslam on Gene and went for the cover near the ropes. 1...2... Ole reached in the ring and grabbed Sags by the ankles and pulled Sags out of the ring to the floor. Sags fell to the floor and Ole started putting the boots to him. Knobs dropped off the apron and went over and started brawling with Ole. In the ring, Lord grabbed Gene by the throat and chokeslammed him. Lars, who had been banished from ringside, came charging down the aisle and attacked Knobs. Lars and Knobs now fighting as Lord hoisted Gene in the air for his gorilla press slam behind his back. Lord dropped Gene and Gene crashed face first to the mat. Lord then hit the ropes and came off and nailed Gene with the diving splash to the back. Lord rolled Gene over and covered him. 1... Ole tried to climb back in the ring and break up the pin try but the now recovered Sags grabbed Ole and yanked Ole off the apron back to the floor. ...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Loud crowd pop as the ref raised Lord's hand in victory as Journey and Link got in the ring. Out on the floor, the fighting continued between the Nastys and Ole and Lars as Gene still recovered in the ring. The Nastys, Lars and Ole battled back up the aisle. Sags and Ole started fighting on the rampway and Lars and Knobs fought off to the side of the stage. A hurting Gene made his way back up the aisle as the fighting disappeared to the back.

WINNER: Lord & Link - Pinfall - Lord pinned Gene Anderson with a Diving Splash to the Back - 7:43)

(After the match: Lord, Link and Journey were still in the ring celebrating their win when Hall & Nash came out on the entrance stage. They were now in their ring attire. Both had mics and they received a mixed crowd reax. They were wearing the tag titles around their waists.

Nash: "Lord Humongous and Missing Link! You may not be able to understand anything other than gutteral caveman sounds, but we are so glad you won! We're looking forward to June 9th in Seattle! Because on that day you're gonna realize that messing with members of The Firm is the worst thing you've ever done! Dark Journey may need to translate what I'm saying to you guys with cave drawings, but Team De-Evolution is in for a major league hurting at 'Thunderstruck! Oh yeah! You're not getting these belts, either!"

Hall: "Dark Journey! Man, why don't you dump the love children of George 'The Animal' Steele and Lady Gaga there and align yourself with men who, you know, are fully evolved and living in the 21st century! Every member of The Firm lives in nice homes with things like heating and air conditioning, a microwave, big-screen TV and all the other modern conveniences! Why keep managing guys who swim in ponds, have no idea what a knife and fork are for, catch and eat their meals with their bare hands and wipe with rocks, leaves and bark?! The Firm is gonna be running this show one day, babe! How about it?! You wanna be part of the elite, Journey?!"

Journey took the r.a. mic from Lee Marshall.

DJ: "Would I like to join The Firm? Hmmm... I've got an answer for you? Do you want to know what it is?"

Hall: "Let's hear it, doll!"

Lord and Link left the ring and dropped to the floor and Journey hopped off the apron into Lord's arms. Lord grabed her by the hips and lowered her gently to the floor. Journey and her men made their way to the entrnace stage.

DJ: "I'll give you my answer. But first, you two have to close your eyes."

Nash: "I think Dark Journey wants to make it with a couple of 21st century dudes. Alright, let's do this."

DJ: "Ummmm... Pucker up, boys."

Hall and Nash did as told and Journey proceeded to slap both of them across the face. Hall and Nash reacted angrily and Lord and Link moved on the champs. A point-blank stand-off ensued between the two teams. Nash then slowly raised his mic to speak.

Nash: "That was not smart, Dark Journey! Now, at 'Thunderstruck', your boys are really gonna suffer!"

The two teams glared at one another for a few more seconds and then Hall and Nash coolly walked off as Journey kept her men calm.)

(Announcers discussed Lord and Link winning the 3-way tag match and earning the tag title shot at 'Thunderstruck' and the confrontation with champs Hall and Nash after the match. Said an interview with UWL World Champion Roddy Piper was coming up!)

(Backstage: Larry Nelson i'viewed Ken Patera.

Nelson asked Patera about tonight's match with former boss Firm Director Ted DiBiase.

KP: "Tonight, I get the opportunity to do what millions of people would like to do every day! I get a chance to beat up my former boss! Signing with The Firm was the biggest mistake of my life! I had to learn that lesson the hard way! But believe me, I learned it! And there's no one in The Firm I'd rather take my wrath out on than Ted DiBiase! And I intend to do just that!")

(In-ring: Lee Marshall interviewed UWL World Champion Roddy Piper.

Bagpipe music played and Piper came to the ring to a loud roar. He was wearing his kilt, t-shirt, ring boots and the title around his waist. He slapped hands with some fans on the way to the ring. Piper got in the ring and briefly played to the crowd.

LM: "Roddy Piper, at 'Thunderstruck' you are facing another member of The Firm in Dusty Rhodes with the World Title on the line. Are you beginning to feel pressure here? This will be your third World Title defense against someone from The Firm in the last six weeks? They have vowed that they will wear you down if they have to to get the title."

RP: "I cannot avoid any member of The Firm! Dusty Rhodes won the tournament last week to get the title shot in 12 days! Of course, Ted DiBiase did his part to ensure that Dusty got the match! I can't dwell on that! I have to look forawrd! Dusty! I know you're a great wrestler, man! Dusty's been a World Champion three times in his career! I was told he was out here earlier tonight and guaranteed that he was gonna be the man who beats me and wins the World Title for The Firm! I've said it before, I would rather lose this belt to anyone else other than a member of The Firm! At 'Thunderstruck', I'm not going in with blinders on! My eyes are wide open and I know that I can probably expect some extra company in the match! Ted DiBiase really wants to get control of the title! He's a man possessed! He won't stop sending his men after me! I, and every wrestler on the UWL roster, just have to keep fighting this scourge in our midst!

"If they take out one of ours, then we need to take out one of theirs! If they interfere in a match, then we must come to the aid of any UWL wrestler, whether we like them or hate them! We are at a critical point in this war! Any and all personal differences are gonna have to be put aside when we're batlting The Firm!"

Crowd booed as Dusty Rhodes came to the ring with a mic. He was in his ring attire and wearing his black satin ring jacket with 'Dusty' written in red cursive letters on the back, black tights, white cowboy-style wrestling boots and his top hat. Dusty got in the ring.

Dusty: "Roddy Piper. I have indeed guaranteed that I am gonna be the man who ends your run as World Champion. I am gonna be the man who brings the World Title into The Firm which is where it belongs. You can't stop manifest destiny, daddy. And The Firm's manifest destiny is one of winning all the titles here in the UWL and then taking over the company. Titles mean power in this sport more than they do in any other. Champions have great leverage. Champions call the shots. Champions hold all the cards. And the belt that gives you the greatest leverage and power is the UWL World Title. I'm ripping that belt away from you, Piper. I won't be stopped. A huge victory in the war between the UWL and The Firm will have been won by us. And it will be the turning point. Once the World Title is handed to me and my hand is raised as the new UWL World Champion, the path to the ultimate power of controlling the UWL will be all but assured. Oh! The Firm and the UWL will have more battles along the way. But we're just gonna wear you UWL boys down in a relentless and withering assault until you finally can't go on any longer. The UWL will have to sue for peace! Once your side can no longer fight effectively then it's all academic! Control of the UWL will fall into The Firm's hands like ripe fruit falling from a tree!"

RP: "Nice speech there, Dusty. Maybe your real calling was as a motivational speaker...in Jonestown . Let me fill you in on something! Every wrestler, and I mean every last one of us, talks a lot! We talk and talk and talk! We tell these fans what we're gonna do to each other! But the reality is that we don't know what the hell is gonna happen until we step in the ring and it's go time! You know what?! I'm gonna give it everything I've got at 'Thunderstruck'! I'm gonna go into the match with every intention of retaining the World Title! But nothing in this sport is 100%, man! I can't give a rock-solid guarantee that I will still be the champion in 12 days! You're out here making a guarantee that you will beat me and that you will become the new UWL World Champion! It may happen! But Dusty, if you fail in your quest to beat me...then you've got to deal with Ted DiBiase and the rest of your partners in crime in The Firm! You have to win, Dusty, or it might just be curtains for you at the hands of your associates!"

Dusty: "You may think what you just said shakes me up. But it doesn't. I beat three top UWL stars to get this title shot. There's no way in hell I'm gonna let this chance pass me by. I'm not gonna let Director Ted DiBiase or my brothers in The Firm down. I'm not even thinking about a downside here. What if I lose? Ha! It's not happenin', jack! A new era is gonna be ushered in at 'Thunderstruck'! The era of The Firm!"

RP: "Well then, I guess there's only one thing left to say."

Dusty: "And what would that be?"

RP: "We'll settle this at 'Thunderstruck'."

Bagpipe music played and Piper took the title off and held it up over his head as he and Rhodes continued to stare each other down and the fans cheered.)

Match 5
Ken Patera vs. Ted DiBiase (The Firm)

(Ken Patera came to the ring to the song 'No Easy Way Out' by Robert Tepper. He got a good ovation. Patera got in the ring and briefly acknowledged the crowd.

DiBiase came to the ring to 'Money' by Pink Floyd. He got a mixed crowd reaction.

Ref called for the bell and the two men charged out of their corners and engaged in a punch exchange that Patera got the better of. Patera whipped DiBiase into the ropes and caught DiBiase coming off with a clothesline. DiBiase crashed to the mat. Patera grabbed DiBiase around the waist as Ted got up and drove Ted back first into the buckles three times. DiBiase went down to his knees next to the ropes and was grabbing at his back. Patra snapped up DiBiase and whipped Ted into the ropes and looked to catch Ted coming off with a double sledge to the chest but Ted grabbed the top rope and quickly bailed from the ring and dropped to the floor. Ted walked around on the floor as the ref started the 20-count. Ted turned and started having words with hecklers. Ken left the ring and dropped to the floor. Ken came up behind Ted, spun Ted around and nailed Ted with a series of punches. Ken threw Ted back in the ring. Ken climbed back in the ring as DiBiase got up and started to beg off while backing up into the corner. Patera moved in and grabbed DiBiase and the two were tied up next to the buckles. Ref stepped in and separated the pair. Ref ordered Patera to step back. DiBiase still in the corner and not coming out. Patera moved in on DiBiase again and two struggled with each other in the corner. Ref stepped in once more and managed to separate them. Just as Ken was stepping back, Ted caught Ken with a sucker punch to the head. Ken stepped back and was grabbing his head. Ted moved in with more head shots on Patera, whipped Ken into the ropes and caught Ken coming off with a leg dive takedown and then locked Ken in the STF. Ken struggled in the hold and started inching his way to the ropes. Ted kept the hold locked in. Ken managed to get to the ropes and get a hand on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. Ted got to his feet, grabbed the top rope and started stomping on Ken's back. Ref counting. Ted stopped the stomping at the count of four. DiBiase then grabbed the top rope and stood on the small of Ken's back. Ref once again counted and Ted broke the hold at four one more time.

Ted pulled up Ken and raked Ken's eyes across the top rope. Ken hurting and grabbing at his eyes. Ted nailed Ken with a two-fisted backsmash. Patera staggered off. Ted repeated the move and Ken staggered some more. Ted then whipped Patera into the ropes and caught Patera coming off with flying lariat. Ken crashed to the mat. Ted then picked up Ken and bodyslammed him into position for a turnbuckle move. Ted mounted the middle buckle and came off with his backwards diving elbow smash the connected. Ted for the cover. 1...2... Ken kicked out. Ted then circled around behind Patera as Patera got to his feet. Ted locked Ken in the Billion Dollar Dream (aka, Million Dollar Dream). Ken fighting not to pass out. Ken maneuvered his body so that he was facing the turnbuckles. Patera managed to lunge towards the buckles and drop down. Ted's head slammed into the top buckle. The hold was broken. Ken got to his feet next to the ropes and Ted came over and drove a knee into Ken's gut and then went to whip Ken into the ropes but Ken reversed and caught Ted coming off with a double sledge to the chest. Ted crashed to the mat. Ken jumped on top of Ted and started slamming the back of Ted's head into the mat. Ken broke the illegal move at the ref's count of four. Ken grabbed the hurting Ted and hoisted Ted on his shoulder and nailed Ted with a running powerslam. Ken for the cover. 1...2...2-3/4... Ted kicked out. Crowd groaned. Ken grabbed Ted and went to whip Ted into the buckles but Ted reversed and sent Ken crashing into the buckles. Ken went down to a knee next to the buckles. As the ref was checking on Ken, Ted turned his back to the ref and Ken, reached into his tights and pulled out his fingerless black glove and quickly put it on. What Ted didn't see was Ken making it to his. Ted turned around to go after Ken but...WHAM!...Ken charged out and dropped DiBiase with the Russian Hammer. Crowd popped.

Ken came up behind Ted as Ted was getting up and locked Ted in the full nelson and nailed Ted with the full nelson slam. Ken for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2...2-9/10... DiBiase barely kicked out. Ken reached down and started to pull DiBiase up when Rick Rude hit the ring. Ken turned and saw Rude charging into the ring and Ken obliterated Rude with a double sledge to the chest. Rude crashed to the mat by the ropes. Ken looked down at Rude for a moment. Ref distracted by trying to get Rude out of the ring. Ken turned his attention back to Ted. Ken reached down and grabbed Ted and Ted sprung to his feet and stunned Ken with a fingerless glove-laden uppercut that stunned Ken. Rude had rolled out on the apron and the ref turned back to the match. Ted grabbed Ken and nailed Ken with the Billion Dollar Blaster (aka, Skull Crushing Finale). Ted covered Ken and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Ref checked on Ken as Ted dropped his glove back into his tights behind the ref's back. Ref then went over and raised Ted's hand in victory as a shot of a laughing DiBiase ended the show.

WINNER: DiBiase - Pinfall - Billion Dollar Blaster - 9:15)
