Re: WWE 2013: It's A New Generation
Monday Night RAW
Las Vegas, Nevada | January 28, 2013
*RAW kicks off directly with Chris Jericho in the ring*
Chris Jericho: Welcome to RAW IS JERICHO!
*The crowd cheers to the point where you can barely hear Joey Styles and Paul Heyman*
Chris Jericho: I have come once again to save all of you Jerichoholics. I have come once again to save all of you from...
'CULT OF PERSONALITY'
CM Punk: You came to save all of us from WHAT, Chris? Everything is as perfect as it can possibly be when I am the king of the jungle, there is nothing...
Chris Jericho: Would you please...SHUT. THE HELL. UP!? You do not have the right to talk when I have a microphone in my hand, junior!.
CM Punk: It's funny, Chris because you are the 40 years old so called "rockstar", when I on the other hand am the longest reigning WWE champion in the modern era.
Chris Jericho: I came to save the Jerichoholics from the torture of watching you, a self proclaimed "best in the world" as WWE champion. I AM THE BEST IN THE WORLD AT EVERYTHING I DO.
*Jericho drops microphone and crowd goes wild as he walks away backstage while CM Punk is left unconscious.*
'MEAT ON THE TABLE'
*Ryback makes his standard entrance to the ring to a positive response in his hometown.*
*Chris Masters returns to RAW to a massive reaction from the crown, bigger even then Las Vegas' own, Ryback.
Chris Masters defeated Ryback via submission with The Masterlock after 6:19 minutes of a decent back and forth opening match between the two.
Damien Sandow: Allow me to beg your indulgence for a moment!
Cody Rhodes: Or in the monkey's language, SHUT UP!
*Crowd boos as heavy as possible after Cody's line.*
Damien Sandow: And to further proof that we are the most sympathetic tag team to ever step in a WWE ring, we invite any tag team that is there backstage and thinks they have the mental and physical skills to
defeat The Rhodes Scholars in a non-title match to an open challenge!
Cody Rhodes: So come down here so we can defeat you already!
'SO CLOSE NOW'
*The Usos make their way to the ring to a very loud reaction considering how much they have been kept off TV*
The Usos defeated The Rhodes Scholars via pinfall after Jey Uso pinned Cody Rhodes at 10:59.
The match was mostly dominated by Damien Sandow who was the legal competitor for the most part of the match-up.
When Cody Rhodes tagged himself in and hit the Cross Rhodes on Jey Uso, Jimmy distracted the referee long enough for Jey to go knock off the apron a desperate Sandow who was screaming:
"Referee, do your job or I will sue you!"
And then hit Rhodes with the Samoan Drop.
The Usos then ended the match with a double Samoan Splash with Jey doing the pin.
Joey Styles: What a match, the first loss The Rhodes Scholars took since they captured the WWE Tag Team championships!
Paul Heyman: Are you kidding me, that was not a loss, that was a fluke. It was totally the referee's fault for staying at chit-chat with Jimmy Uso instead of REFREEING THE MATCH!?
Joey Styles: Well, perhaps we will hear more from these two teams in the near future.
*The GM of RAW and SmackDown!, William Regal comes out with a very positive reaction from the crowd.*
William Regal: Promise me you will not boo me out of the arena for this OK!
*Crowd starts to cheer.*
William Regal: Due to CM Punk's confrontation with the Royal Rumble winner, Chris Jericho earlier on, he will not be able to compete tonight against John Cena, as planned.
*Crowd starts to boo.*
William Regal: Hey, you promised!- But, instead we will have some tag team action between Randy Orton, Sheamus O'Shaunessy and Dolph Ziggler, Big E Langston.
*Crowd cheers harder.*
William Regal: Thank you!
*Jim Ross is backstage with Antonio Cesaro, asking about his upcoming opponent, The Miz.*
Jim Ross: Welcome, Antonio Cesaro I am here today to hear your opinion on your upcoming opponent, The Miz.
Antonio Cesaro: Hi to you too, Jim. What is there to say about The Miz? He is a mediocre american who refuses to up his game when he is in the ring with a future World Heavyweight champion like me. If The Miz
loses to me the third consecutive time, tonight, it is ALL OVER. Interview done.
Jim Ross: Well, thank you...Antonio.
'I CAME TO PLAY'
*The Miz comes out for his match with Cesaro to a normal reaction.*
*Antonio Cesaro comes out waving the American flag to a massive negative reaction.*
Antonio Cesaro defeated The Miz via pinfall at 11:02 after a very good back and forth match mostly dominated by Cesaro.
Miz started to build momentum after aprox. seven minutes of domination hitting the Awesome Clothesline and getting a 2-count.
But then he started to argue with the referee, enough for Cesaro to hit The Neutralizer and finish both the match and the feud.
*The Shield comes out through the crowd to massive heat and they go straight to The Miz. They Powerbomb him through a table from under the ring and run away.*
Joey Styles: Hello ladies and gentlemen we are back to Monday Night RAW with our upcoming main event: Randy Orton and Sheamus O'Shaunessy vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston!
'HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD'
*Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston come out to pretty good boos and a few cheers here and there.*
'WRITTEN IN MY FACE'
*Sheamus O'Shaunessy comes out to the second best reaction tonight, after Chris Jericho.*
*Randy Orton comes out to a mixed reaction.*
Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston defeated Sheamus O'Shaunessy and Randy Orton after Dolph Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Sheamus O'Shaunessy at 16:27.
Big E Langston and Sheamus O'Shaunessy were the legal men for the most part putting on a very good brawl.
When Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler were tagged in Orton dominated for the most part hitting his Rope-hung DDT and being close to an RKO.
He then tagged Sheamus back in, who hit Big E with the Brogue Kick after he entered the ring while Ziggler was on the ground.
While he was dealing with Big E, Ziggler got back up and hit the Zig Zag, making a quick pin.
*After the match, Orton lost it, RKO'ing Sheamus two times, and using the Punt Kick again since last year, on Sheamus.*
*RAW ended with Randy Orton doing his pose on the turnbuckle.*
