Re: WWE 2013 - A New Path

February 8, 2013

Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena; Jacksonville, Florida

An action-packed edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with the opening pyrotechnics, Josh Matthews and JBL welcoming everyone to Jacksonville, Florida and Friday Night SmackDown! Josh Matthews then told everyone that they weren’t going to waste any time getting right into the action, with the Intercontinental Title being put on the line.

Opening Contest – Intercontinental Championship – Singles Match
Wade Barrett© vs. Tyson Kidd

-The crowd got right into the action from the beginning as Tyson Kidd took the fight to the champion, sending him reeling. While Kidd put up a huge fight in the beginning, Barrett eventually caught the talented superstar and proceeded to beat and wear him down. His aggressive and brutal assault had Kidd seemingly out on his feet, Barrett having his way with him now. Wade made several pinfall attempts, only to pull Tyson up himself after a two count, toying with his challenger. That would prove costly as Kidd began to fight back, delivering several dropkicks, before knocking the champion down with a spinning heel kick. The finish saw Tyson Kidd fall just short, Wade catching Kidd as he jumped off the top rope, before sending him crashing down with Wasteland, covering the challenger and getting the three count.-
Winner & STILL Intercontinental Champion – Wade Barrett

Barrett is handed his Intercontinental Title, raising his arms in victory as the cameras head backstage where Randy Orton is shown. His head quickly turned, his stare turning into a glare as the Big Show stepped into the picture, the crowd boo’ing heavily. The Big Show tells Orton that he doesn’t like this pairing anymore than Orton does, but if Randy tries anything foolish, the Big Show will make sure he doesn’t even make it to the Elimination Chamber. This brought a small grin to Orton’s face, Randy telling him that he better have eyes in the back of his head.

—Commercial Break—

As Friday Night SmackDown returned from the commercial break the cameras immediately cut to the backstage area as Alberto Del Rio was shown being viciously assaulted by Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. AJ Lee is shown skipping around the scene, laughing almost psychotically as one by one Ziggler and Langston took their turns stomping and punching the World Champion. They, soon, had to flee the scene as Sheamus came rushing into the picture, forcing the trio to scurry away, Sheamus shaking his head before turning back to check on the fallen Del Rio.

Match Two – Singles Match
JTG vs. Mark Henry

-The return of Mark Henry could not have looked more impressive as he faced an over-matched JTG. He had little offense and little answer for Henry, who actually showed more quickness and strength than he ever had before, given his size and age. While JTG tried to put up as big a fight as he could, he was no match and eventually was sent crashing to the canvas with the World’s Strongest Slam, Henry getting the pinfall.-
Winner – Mark Henry

Mark Henry celebrates his return to the squared circle, as backstage Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee and Big E Langston all are standing by, still laughing and cutting up after their assault on the World Champion. Matt Striker steps in and asks them what that was all about, Ziggler telling him that Del Rio has something that he wants and that he is not very fond of Del Rio, so he was just showing the champion how he felt. That’s when Booker T stepped in, looking rather furious at the antics of both Ziggler and Langston, who still had grins on their faces. Booker asked them, sarcastically, if they thought that was funny before announcing that because of their actions, at the Elimination Chamber, Dolph Ziggler would be one of the superstars starting off the match. This sent the Money In The Bank holder into a frenzy, questioning the General Manager’s decision, but Booker T was not finished, he then informed the trio that Ziggler would not be able to have his little henchmen to help him until later on, as Big E Langston would be the LAST man to enter the Elimination Chamber! The GM walked off, AJ Lee trying to calm down Ziggler as he paced back and forth, furious with the decision.

The PrimeTime Players are shown standing inside the squared circle, dancing side by side to one another as their theme music keeps blaring. Once it stops, Titus O’Neil gets on the microphone, letting everyone know that they are looking at the next Tag Team Champions and after the Elimination Chamber is over and PTP have the gold, they will go down in history as the greatest tag team to ever grace a wrestling ring. The boo’ing from the crowd that followed forced sour-looks onto the faces of both men, but before they could address it Voices hit the P.A System, signaling the arrival of The Viper towards the squared circle.

Math Three – Tag Team Match
Big Show & Randy Orton vs. PrimeTime Players

-While The Big Show and Randy Orton did not like the fact that they had to team together, when either Titus O’Neil or Darren Young tried to intervene into their staredowns or near ‘come to blows’, they just send the member of PTP into a corner and begin to pound away with either several punches, in Orton’s case, or massive slaps to the chest in Big Show’s. The tagging in-between the two men was as expected, hard slaps to the back and shoulders of their teammates, which neither man liked too much. These simple distractions allowed the PrimeTime Players to take the offensive advantage at times and wear down their respective opponent inside the ring, not like his teammate really cared. The tension between the Big Show and Randy Orton finally hit the breaking point, the Big Show slamming his palm into the back of Orton to become the legal man and climbing inside the ring. Darren Young was slowly beginning to get back to his feet, Big Show setting up for his Knockout Punch, only to have Randy Orton spin him around and deliver a huge RKO! The Viper rolled out of the ring, heading away towards the backstage area, a sinister grin on his face to the delight of the crowd as Darren Young stumbled around to see the giant laid out. He quickly dropped on top of him and got the victory!-
Winners – The PrimeTime Players

The Big Show slowly rolled out of the ring, still recovering as Titus O’Neil and Darren Young celebrated and started dancing once again. Just then, a huge eruption of fire blasted from the staging area as the tag team champions came rushing out from the backstage area, heading towards the ring. Once inside, the four men brawled as the crowd cheered heavily, Bryan and O’Neil dumping to the outside while Young seemed to be getting the advantage of Kane. However, The Big Red Machine quickly grabbed Young by the throat, delivering a thunderous Chokeslam! Titus O’Neil was rolled back into the ring by Bryan only to soon be met with a Chokeslam by Kane as well! The tag champions stood tall over their challengers, seeming to now co-exist between one another.

—Commercial Break—

On the other side of the commercial break Booker T is standing next to World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, who is sitting on the doctor’s table, being examined by the doctor himself. Del Rio seems to be in a lot of pain, Booker telling him that he doesn’t need his World Champion hobbling into the Elimination Chamber pay per view. When Booker even begins to think about pulling Del Rio from the main event, Alberto tells the GM that he wants his revenge on both Ziggler and Langston. While the doctor advises against it, Booker sees the determination in Del Rio’s eyes, telling the doctor to do what he can to get Del Rio prepared for later.

3MB are shown backstage, acting crazy, jumping around and doing their corny dance moves in front of the camera. Heath Slater introduces the three men, telling the audience watching that while he was placed into an impossible situation last week against Sheamus, the future is nothing but bright for 3MB. They planned on taking the WWE by storm and that plan still hadn’t changed. All three men continued their antics as the cameras faded back to the squared circle.

The Intercontinental Champion was standing by with Matt Striker, the interviewer showing his praise on Barrett's title defense earlier in the evening. The Englishman telling Striker that tonight was just another notch of something great in the career of Wade Barrett. He says that he is the current IC Champion for a reason and there's a reason he pushed the monster Ryback to the limit, it's because he is the fastest rising star of the WWE and everyone should take notice.

Match Four – Singles Match
Cody Rhodes w/ Damien Sandow vs. Ryback

-Damien Sandow was always a disruptive presence on the outside, keeping Ryback on his toes and not allowing the monster to get into a rhythm against his partner, Cody Rhodes. In fact, Rhodes took it to the monster, giving him his second-straight tough challenge in as many weeks. Anytime Ryback would try to mount some offense he was interfered with by Sandow, or distracted by him, allowing Rhodes to regain control. Eventually the monster silenced Sandow on the outside, when he went to the well one too many times, Ryback climbing to the outside before delivering Shell Shock! He climbed back inside the ring to return to a groggy Cody Rhodes, who still was lying on the canvas as suddenly; Sierra Hotel India Echo Lima Delta…SHIELD! hit the P.A System, Ryback looking around with great intent at the arrival of The Shield. Josh Matthews and JBL questioned why they were here and soon the three men came from the crowd, Ryback looking on. Once they jumped the barricade, they had given enough distraction for Cody to reach up and roll Ryback up, hooking his tights and getting the three!-
Winner – Cody Rhodes

Rhodes quickly exited the ring victorious, helping his tag partner to his feet as The Shield bum-rushed the ring and proceeded to attack the monster three on one. Ryback tried to fight back as best he could but the numbers game was too much, The Shield eventually lifting Ryback up and landing the Triple Powerbomb! The monster was laid out in the center of the ring, Dean Ambrose grabbing a microphone as the three men stood there. Each man introduced themselves to the sold-out crowd, before Dean Ambrose tells everyone why they are here. The reason being, simply put, injustice; they don’t like the treatment they have been given by the WWE and they don’t like how certain stars are put above others, because of politics. The Shield claim that it’s time for a change around here and they will be the ones who bring that change.

—Commercial Break—

The commentators were still somewhat shocked at The Shield’s arrival on Friday Night SmackDown. However, they could not dwell on it as the action continued, the cameras heading backstage showing Daniel Bryan and Kane talking about what they had just done to the PrimeTime Players. Their co-existence didn’t last for too long as the two men abruptly began to bicker and argue back and forth over the smallest thing, this time it being who has been the better teammate towards the other. The bickering led to their famous ‘Yes’ ‘No’ ‘Yes’ ‘No’, back and forth disagreement, bringing a comedic side to the tag team and getting a laugh from the crowd. They glared at one another before Kane stormed off, Bryan throwing his arms up in frustration, mumbling to himself, almost pouting.

Main Event – Tag Team Match
Alberto Del Rio & Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston

-The injury to Del Rio was very noticeable all throughout this contest, which forced Sheamus to do the majority of the work inside the squared circle. He took the fight to both Ziggler and when Ziggler tagged in Langston, the big henchmen as well. But, he could only hold them off for so long and eventually both men began to wear down the Irishman, JBL noting the strategy involved in attacking Del Rio, as it forced Sheamus to do more work than normal, thus wearing him down before the pay per view as well. Alberto was finally tagged in and he cleaned house of both men, stomping the proverbial mud-hole to Ziggler in the corner. From there the action went back and forth, Ziggler and Langston targeting the injured ribs of Del Rio throughout the match, while Sheamus and Del Rio pushed forward, the odds seemingly stacked against them. The ending saw Del Rio and Langston inside the squared circle, duking it out, Langston driving his knee deep into Del Rio’s ribs, before lifting him up for a potential powerbomb. However, the World Champion managed to counter, sliding down behind Langston and heading towards the ropes. As he bounced off, that’s where Ziggler was, sending his Money In The Bank briefcase deep into the ribs of Del Rio, the referee calling for the bell!-
Winners by Disqualification – Alberto Del Rio & Sheamus

Del Rio collapsed to the canvas in a heap of pain, Sheamus crawling back into the ring, before delivering the Brogue Kick to Langston. From there, Ziggler tried to violently take the head off of Sheamus, but just missed hitting him with the briefcase, Sheamus sending punch after punch into Dolph, backing him into the corner. Soon after that came the arrival of The Big Show, who sent Sheamus to the mat with a huge punch to his midsection. Ziggler tried to tame the giant, jumping onto his back and locking him into a sleeper hold, but was soon squashed in the corner, which prompted The Viper to make his appearance into the fold. All six competitors in SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber were now inside the ring and suddenly on their feet, before an all-out brawl erupted amongst the six men. Friday Night SmackDown faded off the air, Josh Matthews and JBL going crazy at the frenzy of action going on inside the squared circle.

—End of Show—

Starting on the next Raw, maybe, I will start doing full-on results for everything. Anyways, enjoy!

Re: WWE 2013 - A New Path

Friday Night SmackDown News & Notes
-The appearance of The Shield on SmackDown has everyone on alert, it would seem. While many people felt that their program with Ryback had ended, based on this Friday's edition, that doesn't seem to be the case. It would appear that WWE Creative, and more importantly Vince McMahon, are very high on all three members, so they feel it's time to throw them into the fire and see how they can handle it. Hence the Elimination Chamber spot and the continuing assaults on the WWE's top talent.

-Mark Henry's return to the ring went off without a hitch. While he showed some ring rust, that was to be expected and WWE Officials were said to be very impressed with Henry...but as for JTG, it's obvious that singles competition just doesn't seem to fit him, currently. WWE has already sent a feeler out to Shad Gaspard, looking to reform Cryme Tyme, this quite possibly being for the sake of JTG's WWE career.

-Speaking of possible returns, WWE has also reached out to a number of former stars and we can now confirmed that they have agreed to contracts with former Intercontinental Champion, Carlito, as well as John Morrison. Contract talks were also held with Montel Vontavious Porter, but they broke down and neither side could come to an agreement.

-In NXT News, the WWE has signed Talia Madison, more well known as Velvet Sky and Nigel McGuinness to developmental deals. Both will report to NXT within the next month, but don't expect either to be down there for long. They are also in preliminary talks with other ROH Stars, including Mike Bennett, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Kevin Steen, as well as former WWE Superstar, Elijah Burke. While it is early in the negotiation phase, look for a few of them to get tryouts.

Monday Night Raw Preview
-The final installment of Monday Night Raw before the Elimination Chamber will see several big name stars in action. The young upstart and current US Champion, Xavier Woods, will team up with Rey Mysterio to take on Antonio Cesaro and Brodus Clay. Also, all six participants who will compete inside the Elimination Chamber will be inside the squared circle at the same time.

-CM Punk will not be at Raw this week, still rehabing his knee, however it will be 100% healed come the pay per view. The WWE Champion will be in attendance, as will the likes of Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon, Paul Heyman and The Shield. It looks like an explosive Monday Night as each superstar looks to gain momentum heading into the Elimination Chamber.

BREAKING NEWS - WWE Signs New Talent
PWInsider has just learned that WWE, after after several negotiations and tryouts with several talents from various promotions, has come to terms with contracts for seven new superstars and divas. The two new divas coming actually are two former WWE Women's Champions as Victoria and Mickie James have re-signed with the company. This came as a bit of a surprise to some, but the word going around is that the WWE needed to strengthen its Diva's Division and went hard at both women, giving them an offer they couldn't refuse. Look for both women to return to the WWE ring sometime around WrestleMania, or a little before.

WWE has been bringing in a lot of former talent as seen by the re-signings of Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, Victoria & Mickie James. PWInsider has also learned that the WWE has resigned Elijah Burke to a new contract. Vince McMahon was always high on Burke and hated when he left the company, so it would seem that this signing came from the highest place possible.

The signing of El Generico a few weeks back brought with it the thought that WWE may go back into Ring of Honor at a later period and that later period seems to be now. The tag team division within the WWE has been, lackluster, to say the least. Team Hell No is the biggest draw, but that's never a good thing when a make-shift tag team is your best tag team. With that being said, WWE has signed The American Wolves to strengthen the tag team division. Add in the signing of Shad Gaspard and now WWE has added two new tag teams to its roster, once Richards and Edwards are called up from NXT.

The two remaining talents that have signed contracts with the WWE have been kept under-wraps, which leads many to believe they are former WWE Superstars, that the company want to bring back in for the shock-value. We will try to bring you more when we get it.
Reported by PWInsider
WWE Releases Two Superstars
WWE has come to terms today on the releases of Hornswoggle and The Great Khali. WWE wishes them the best in their future endevours.

Re: WWE 2013 - A New Path

February 11, 2013

Bridgestone Arena; Nashville, Tennessee

Monday Night Taw rolled into Nashville, Tennessee, the final edition of Raw until the Elimination Chamber. The crowd was electric, standing on their feet and cheering loudly as the pyrotechnics went off all around the staging area to signal the beginning of the show. IF YA SMELL… soon hit the P.A System, the crowd nearly blowing the roof off the Bridgestone Arena as the WWE Champion came storming from behind the curtain and out into sight. He clutched the title firmly in his hand, looking around at the sold-out crowd before heading down to the squared circle and entering the ring. The Rock grabbed a microphone from the outside and began to stroll around the ring, the crowd almost refusing to quiet down, cheering so loudly for the Champion. Eventually the crowd did quiet down, allowing The Rock to go into his usual catchphrases, bringing about more cheers from the Nashville crowd. He talks about being the WWE Champion and ending CM Punk’s long title reign, before talking about his rematch with the Straight Edge Superstar at the Elimination Chamber. The Rock vows to not let the WWE Universe down, he will not allow CM Punk to reclaim the WWE Championship. Just as he says that the TitanTron lights up, CM Punk appearing live via satellite. He instantly cuts The Rock off, telling him that he should not lie to the audience, because at the Elimination Chamber, CM Punk is taking back what is rightfully his. This is where The Rock cuts back in, telling CM Punk that he talks a big game for someone who isn’t even inside the arena, but that he was quite lucky, because if Punk was in the arena, The Rock would whoop his candy ass all up and down the Bridgestone Arena. Instead of angering Punk, that actually brought a slight grin to his face, Punk informing Rock that while he may not be in attendance tonight, he has a few ‘friends’ who are.

Sierra…Hotel…India…Echo…Lima…Delta…SHIELD!

The live feed of Punk quickly shut off as the theme music for The Shield hit the P.A System, the crowd immediately turning to see the three men coming down from their usual spots. The Rock having already dropped the microphone and his WWE Title paces back and forth inside the ring, waiting, as Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns leap the barricade and begin to circle the ring. All three men climb onto the apron, the commentators almost pleading with The Rock to get out of the ring as The Shield quickly climbed inside, The Rock bolting straight for Rollins and nailing him with a few good right hands, but eventually being beaten down by the three men, the numbers game just too much. Ambrose and Rollins picking the Champion up and placing him into the waiting grasp of Reigns, the three men sending him crashing down with the Triple Powerbomb! The Shield stood tall over the fallen WWE Champion as suddenly the crowd began to cheer seeing Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio and The Miz sprinting toward the squared circle. As soon as they hit the ring The Shield exited, quickly leaping the barricade and heading up the aisle way, the three men inside the ring checking on The Rock as Raw went to a commercial break.

—Commercial Break—

Opening Contest – Singles Match
Shelton Benjamin vs. William Regal

-The crowd was still reeling from The Shield’s assault on the WWE Champion, but they were in for a technical display in the opening contest. Both Shelton and Regal traded arm locks, Benjamin using his speed and athleticism to arm drag Regal before landing a huge dropkick. From there, Shelton took control and grounded the seasoned veteran only to see Regal eventually gain the upper hand before brawling with Shelton in the corner. He blasted him with several stiff right hands before showing off his own technical prowess, keeping the athletic Benjamin on the canvas for a couple of minutes. In the end it was Shelton who fired back, ducked an attempt by Regal, before landing the Exploder Suplex and covering the Englishman, getting the three!-
Winner – Shelton Benjamin

Shelton had his hand raised in victory, the crowd standing on their feet clapping as they saw how hard Benjamin fought to secure this victory. Backstage, the United States Champion is standing by with Josh Matthews, who asks him if it’s even sunk in yet that he is the US Champion? Woods flashed a big smile, clearly excited to be holding the title, telling Josh that it has sunk in, but it’s still a great feeling to come in on your debut and win a title as prestigious as the United States Title. When asked about having to defend it at the upcoming pay per view against the former title holder, a dangerous opponent, in Antonio Cesaro, Xavier Woods had strong words for Cesaro, giving him praise for all he had accomplished, but said he was going to go into the Elimination Chamber with nothing to lose and he would come out the same way he went in, the United States Champion.

—Video Package Hyping the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View—

A quick live shot of John Cena arriving as the Bridgestone Arena, the commentators plugging how he will address the whole Shane McMahon, Kurt Angle situation for the first time later on in the show.

—Commercial Break—

Match Two – Singles Match
Ted DiBiase vs. Yoshi Tatsu

-The Japanese superstar didn’t really seem to have much of a chance throughout this contest with DiBiase, who showed off his wide-variety of skills inside the ring. If Tatsu began to mount any sort of offense, it was immediately shut down by DiBiase, whether it was by his patented run-by clothesline, or a beautiful standing dropkick. Finally, Yoshi was dragged to his feet and locked into the Million Dollar Dream! DiBiase violently yanked him back and forth, the referee checking on Tatsu before realizing he was out and called for the bell!-
Winner – Ted DiBiase

As the bell sounded, DiBiase slung Tatsu to the ground harshly, staring angrily down towards him before demanding a microphone. DiBiase told everyone that he had been blessed, rather fortunate, to be born into the DiBiase family. His father is a Hall of Famer, which means his family name is wrestling royalty. However, there was something missing and that was the fact that his father never managed to become the WWE Champion. Ted said that, with the help of his father, soon he would be able to add that accomplishment to the DiBiase Family Legacy and make sure that the name DiBiase would go down in history as the greatest wrestling family.

The cameras cut backstage as medical personnel were checking on The Rock. Vince McMahon looked on, concerned and angered about what happened, saying that something had to be done about The Shield. That's when The Rock stopped him and demanded that he give The Rock a match with The Shield…tonight! Vince said there was no way he was going to place the WWE Champion in a Three on One Handicap Match this close to a title defense, but did like where The Rock’s head was at. Vince then announced that tonight, to really get everyone excited about not only The Rock’s return to action on cable television, but also the Elimination Chamber, he was going to have The Rock go one on one with Dean Ambrose in a Lumberjack Match! The Lumberjacks surrounding the ring being the seven participants in Raw’s Elimination Chamber!

Before the start of the Diva’s Battle Royal, it was announced that the winner of the match would receive a Diva’s Title Shot in the future and out came the WWE Diva’s Champion for the start of the match.

Match Three – Number One Contendership - Diva’s Battle Royal
Every Current WWE Diva

-Every WWE Diva was already standing inside the squared circle, the WWE Diva’s Champion, Kaitlyn, on the outside doing commentary for the match, as well as scouting her potential opponent. As the bell sounded the nine divas all went after one another, dispersing into small groups all around the ring as they tried to eliminate each other for that all important shot at capturing the Diva’s Title down the line. The first lady to be eliminated was Naomi, as Tamina dumped her over the top rope and soon after was Cameron, who tried to come to her aid but also was sent packing. Tamina looked dominant in the early going and the other divas knew that, which is why they took it upon themselves to gang up on the larger woman, but weren’t able to eliminate her and eventually went on to each other. The next to go was Rosa, who was eliminated by Layla, followed by Aksana, who was eliminated by Alicia Fox. This left AJ Lee, Alicia Fox, Layla, Natalya & Tamina as the final five, but eventually it was dropped down when Layla managed to eliminate Tamina, to the surprise of everyone, followed by Alicia Fox eliminating herself, when Layla avoided her attack, seeing her fly over the top rope! AJ Lee then proceeded to take it to Layla in the corner, assaulting her with various punches and stomps before turning around and being clotheslined by Natalya! The finish of the match saw Layla dropkick Natalya over the top rope, eliminating her, but as she got up was dumped over herself, AJ Lee managing to be the last diva standing!-
Winner – AJ Lee

She looked around with that sinister smile, admiring her work as Layla sat up looking around disappointed at coming up just short. AJ Lee then turned her attention towards the WWE Diva’s Champion, who stood up from the announcer’s desk, the two women giving each other a stare-down. It was AJ Lee who broke the stare first, skipping to the far side of the ring and exiting, before skipping up the rampway as the cameras faded to commercial.

—Commercial Break—

Back inside the arena My Time Is Now hit the P.A System as out walked John Cena. He glanced around, looking all business tonight before heading down towards the ring and climbing inside. The crowd quickly quieted down, noticing the different demeanor that Cena had as he grabbed a microphone and his music cut off. John Cena began by telling everyone that at the Royal Rumble, while it could’ve very easily got differently, he feels he was screwed out of his opportunity to headline WrestleMania. Fast forward to the next night on Raw and John Cena was given another chance to potentially earn a shot at becoming WWE Champion and that too was taken away from him. He said while it would’ve been a monumental task to take all The Shield, he has overcome big odds like that before and then came the announcement that all along Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle were behind all of it. Cena talks about how Shane said he wanted to light a fire under Cena, before looking straight forward and telling Shane McMahon that he has succeeded. A fire has been lit in John Cena and at the Elimination Chamber he plans on taking every ounce of frustration out on Shane McMahon until he truly understands what he has cost John Cena!

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman were shown backstage with Matt Striker, who tried to ask Brock about his recent dominant run in the WWE since returning at the Royal Rumble. It was Paul Heyman who cut him off, telling Matt that as Brock Lesnar’s advisor and manager, any and all questions would be answered by Paul Heyman. As for the question itself, Heyman informed Striker that Brock Lesnar has returned to the WWE with a vengeance because it’s just what he does. When he first arrived in the WWE he was the most talked about and most dominant superstar in the company and this time is no different. Heyman said that Brock Lesnar will walk into the Elimination Chamber, face all the punishment, all the absolute hell that that structure can bring and he will walk out victorious having proven a point and left his mark, plain and simple.

Match Four – Tag Team Match
Antonio Cesaro & Brodus Clay vs. Rey Mysterio & Xavier Woods

-The make-shift team of Cesaro and Clay had the definite size advantage, but early on it was the speed and quickness of both Mysterio and Woods that gave them problems. Each man used several high-risk moves to send their opponents reeling and when both men went to the outside, Woods and Mysterio went right after them, landing huge springboard planchas to the delight of the crowd. Once everything was settled back down, it was Brodus Clay who gained the offense for his team, catching Mysterio’s aerial attempt and sending him crashing to the canvas violently. From there, Clay used his brute size and strength to wear down the high-flyer, before tagging in Cesaro who proceeded to continue to keep Mysterio grounded. Once Xavier Woods was tagged in, the momentum changed, Woods knocking both Cesaro and Clay back, before managing to dropkick Clay through the ring ropes and to the floor, only to have Cesaro nearly take his head off with a clothesline! The crowd was on the edge of its seats throughout the contest, as one nearfall after another happened, each one seemingly closer than the last. The end of the match saw Xavier Woods take out Cesaro on the outside with a Suicide Dive, leaving Mysterio inside the ring with Clay. He dropkicked the large superstar into the ropes before connecting with the 619 this sent Clay stumbling back and as Rey springboarded in, he was caught in mid-air by Clay! Brodus quickly delivered a thunderous G-Grip before making the pin attempt and getting the three count!-
Winners – Antonio Cesaro & Brodus Clay

Cesaro and Clay slowly backed up the rampway, neither man really celebrating as Woods crawled back into the ring to check on the still down and out Mysterio. The cameras faded to another commercial break, but not before the commentators plugged how coming up next was Miz TV, the guests being all six members of Raw’s Elimination Chamber.

—Commercial Break—

The leather couches and production chairs have been set up inside the ring, the Miz TV logo is hanging down as ‘I Came To Play’ cane be heard over the speakers, The Miz sitting down in one of the chairs to a loud ovation from the crowd. He starts by welcoming everyone to the most must-see television experience in all of professional wrestling, Miz TV. The Miz doesn’t want to waste any more time and out comes the Raw Elimination Chamber participants one by one, to the respective reactions from the crowd. The Shield brought all three members down and they were hesitant to step inside the squared circle, but eventually did so and Mysterio seemed to still be feeling the effects from his match just minutes ago. With everyone inside the ring, The Miz says that he feels it’s a good time for everyone to say a few words as to why they feel they will win the Elimination Chamber match this Sunday. Nobody really seems too eager to talk, all still cagey towards one another as finally it’s Rey Mysterio who grabs the microphone first. He tells everyone that his entire career, he’s been the under-dog, the one that is over-looked and he has accomplished the most because he works the hardest. He says that this Sunday will be no different, as he will out work everyone here and be victorious. Then it’s Clays turn to speak, he gives an evil grin and a slight chuckle, telling Mysterio that he doesn’t stand a chance and that it will be Brodus Clay who stands victorious, because nobody has looked better than he has in recent weeks. Clay then turns towards Lesnar, the two men having a stare-down, before Clay again says, Nobody! One by one they all talk, Kofi saying he has had these kinds of chances in the past and knows what to expect and there’s no telling if this will be his last opportunity or not. Neither Lesnar nor The Shield talk, they just stand back and watch the others speak as The Miz goes last, a smug look on his face as he asks ‘Really?’, several times, before telling the group that he has done it all in this business, but the one thing he wants more than anything is to reclaim the WWE Title and with a win at the Elimination Chamber, he can do just that. Before he can continue any further…

IF YA SMELL…

Every head turned towards the entrance way, the crowd exploding with cheers as the WWE Champion once again comes storming from the backstage area. All the men inside the ring slowly exit, The Rock pacing back and forth on the staging area, staring with a stern face down toward the ringside area, no doubt towards the three members of The Shield. The commentators plug that The Rock will take on Dean Ambrose when Raw returns LIVE from the commercial break.

—Commercial Break—

Main Event – Lumberjack Match – Singles Match
Dean Ambrose vs. The Rock

-Once back from the commercial break the two men locked up in the middle of the ring, The Rock gaining the upper-hand and belting Ambrose with several stiff right hands in the corner. Ambrose tried to flee but as soon as he went to the outside he realized he was surrounded by other superstars and instantly rolled back into the ring, into the waiting arms of The Rock who delivered a huge belly to belly suplex. The Rock continued to take the fight to Ambrose, only to stopped dead in his tracks by a knee to his mid-section. To stop the Brahma Bull from continuing, Ambrose quickly dumped him over the top rope, right in front of the other members of The Shield who took it upon themselves to stomp and pound away at the WWE Champion. Kingston and Miz managed to lift The Rock back up and roll him back into the ring, tensions running high on the outside as it seemed like a powder-keg waiting to explode. Once inside, The Rock continued to be assaulted by the waiting Ambrose, who looked rather strong going one on one with the WWE Champion. Each time he tried to mount a comeback, Dean managed to stop him dead in his tracks and go back to work on any body part he could do damage to. The Rock soon went back on the offensive and this time it was Ambrose who was tossed to the outside and assaulted by the superstars near ringside to the delight of the crowd, when The Shield intervened and rolled him back in out of harms way, tempers continued to flare as words were exchanged on the outside. Meanwhile, back inside the squared circle, the action continued back and forth from both men, Ambrose coming close on a couple of occasions to pinning the WWE Champion, but in the end The Rock managed to deliver the Rock Bottom and cover Ambrose to get the victory!-
Winner – The Rock

As soon as the three was counted, Rollins and Reigns hit the ring and began to assault the WWE Champion again, only this time the rest of the men standing on the outside joined inside the ring, waging an all-out brawl. The Rock managed to roll out of the ring, away from all the fighting, the commentators going into a frenzy at all the brawling that was going on inside the squared circle. Monday Night Raw faded off the air, no superstar gaining a true edge heading into Sunday’s Elimination Chamber match.

—End of Show—

I decided to do full shows after the EC PPV. Enjoy and feedback is always welcomed

Re: WWE 2013 - A New Path

February 15, 2013

Mississippi Coast Coliseum; Biloxi, Mississippi

Josh Matthews and JBL welcome the television audience to the final installment of Friday Night SmackDown before Sunday’s Elimination Chamber pay per view. Matthews says that they have a tremendous night of action scheduled for tonight, including the return of John Morrison to the ring, as well as a huge six man tag match involving all members of SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber! Things immediately kick off on SmackDown as ’Ain’t No Make Believe’ hit the P.A System, the Biloxi crowd cheering loudly for the return of John Morrison.

Opening Contest – Singles Match
Curt Hawkins vs. John Morrison

-Morrison certainly came out firing on all cylinders, wanting to give the WWE Universe a show in his return. He landed several huge dropkicks to Hawkins, followed by some innovative takedowns that had the fans cheering in amazement. Hawkins did his best to fight back against Morrison, getting a lengthy bit of offense in against the returning superstar, but John Morrison was not going to lose this contest. While Hawkins gave an impressive showing, Morrison eventually set him up near the turnbuckle and delivered Starship Pain, before covering Curt and getting the three count!-
Winner – John Morrison

A loud, standing ovation was awaiting Morrison after the three count and he stood to his feet, flashing a huge smile as he seemed happy to be back inside a WWE ring. In the backstage area Randy Orton and Sheamus stood toe to toe, eyeing one another carefully. The potential clash of these two superstars made for an interesting response from the crowd, Orton telling Sheamus that he’s waited quite a while to recapture the World Heavyweight Title and he will stop at nothing to recapture it, even striking Sheamus down. This brought a laugh from the Irishman who said he wouldn’t have it any other way, because that’s exactly what he’s going to do this Sunday, be the last man left standing inside the Chamber. The two men give one another a respectful nod before heading off in different directions.

Switching over, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston are sitting inside their locker-room talking to one another. Ziggler still is angered at the fact that the General Manager, Booker T, has made him one of the first participants to start inside the Chamber. Big E tells Dolph not to worry, because once they are both inside the Chamber together, then they can execute their plan of making sure Dolph is crowned the next World Heavyweight Champion. This thought seems to calm Dolph’s nerves a bit, but he is still nonetheless agitated as SmackDown fades to a commercial break.

—Commercial Break—

Match Two – Singles Match
Daniel Bryan w/ Kane vs. Darren Youn w/ Titus O’Neil

-Just two days away from their tag team title encounter and we got to see a small glimpse at the potential contest these four men would put on. Darren Young took the upper-hand early against Bryan, who was distracted by arguing with Kane on the outside. This would be a prevailing theme throughout the match as anytime Bryan mounted a strong attack, he would somehow manage to start arguing with Kane who stood on the outside. Young looked impressive going one on one with the technically gifted Bryan, managing several near falls throughout the contest. Even though his partner was doing well, that didn’t stop Titus O’Neil from getting involved and halting a potential Bryan comeback, only to have the Big Red Machine come around and knock him down with a clothesline. This seemed to buy Daniel enough time, as Darren Young and the referee both were yelling out at Kane to stop, but when Young turned around he was instantly taken down and locked into the No Lock! The crowd roared as Young had nowhere to go and eventually was forced to tap out!-
Winner – Daniel Bryan

Bryan got to his feet and celebrated, the crowd beginning to chant ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!’ causing Bryan to respond with ‘No!’ every time. His partner climbed into the ring, watching as Bryan paraded around the ring screaming ‘No’ at the top of his lungs. The two men then glanced toward one another, Kane shaking his head and exiting the squared circle, leaving Daniel Bryan to stand there bewildered before quickly following after him, the two men arguing all the way into the backstage area.

The cameras slowly switched over as the Intercontinental Champion was standing by with Matt Striker. Striker informs everyone that it was actually Barrett who called for this interview, before allowing Wade to say what he needed to. The Champion called into question SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber, wondering how the GM came to the conclusion of those five opponents for Alberto Del Rio? Barrett stated that he has looked more impressive that any of them, before telling Striker that it should be him who is inside the Chamber with the chance of capturing the World Heavyweight Title. It seemed as though Booker T had overheard and had enough, stepping into the picture. Booker demanded Barrett repeat himself, which Wade had no trouble doing, before adding that he questions the overall ability and competence that Booker T has with this job. This sent the GM over the edge as he began to take off his suit jacket and undo his tie, Barrett halting him and warning him not to embarrass himself. That’s when Booker slowly nodded his head, before telling Wade Barrett that tonight he would be competing in a match and when Barrett asked who his opponent was, Booker responded that it was none other than…the GM himself!

After the shocking announcement the cameras returned to ringside as Josh Matthews and JBL discussed what had just transpired. JBL didn’t seem to like what Booker was doing, thinking that this may be a grave mistake, but Matthews defended him, telling JBL that Booker had had enough of Barrett belittling him as the GM. They transitioned from that into announcing that the next time the WWE would be on pay per view would be April 7th in East Rutherford, New Jersey for WrestleMania 29! However, before the WWE headed there, they would be in New Orleans for the Elimination Chamber and here’s what was in store.

—Video Package Hyping The Elimination Chamber Pay Per View—

Back from the commercial break and we see Booker T warming up as he heads down toward the entrance way. He is stopped by several superstars on his way, trying to get him to reconsider, but each man is met with the same intent stare and Booker telling them that this is something he has to do. One by one they wish him luck as it switches over back to the ringside for the start of the next contest.

Match Three – Non Title – Singles Match
Booker T vs. Wade Barrett

-Wade Barrett didn’t seem to take this match too seriously in the beginning, but when Booker T came out with a point to prove and blasted Barrett with several right hands. The crowd cheered loudly as Booker continued to push the pace and the action onto Wade, causing him to duck under the ropes on several occasions to get the referee to back Booker up. It was doing this that allowed Barrett to gain the advantage, as the referee was pushing Booker back Wade raked his eyes before nailing him with a big clothesline. Barrett took control from there, brutally assaulting the General Manager with stiff punches and boots, the commentators plugging in how Booker was well past his wrestling days. Matthews wanted the referee to stop this carnage, but obviously it did not happen, Barrett lifting his General Manager slowly onto his shoulders before landing Wasteland! From there he covered Booker, but yanked him up when the referee got to a two count, grinning as the crowd booed him heavily. The Intercontinental Champion then proceeded to deliver a second and third Wasteland before lifting Booker back to his feet. Barrett’s elbow pad was pulled down, Booker clearly out on his feet and he pulled the GM forward landing a vicious Bull Hammer! Finally, Barrett laid casually on top of Booker, not even hooking a leg as the referee counted the three!-
Winner – Wade Barrett

He slowly stood up to his feet, still grinning as he looked down at the down and out General Manager. He was showered with boo’s from the Biloxi crowd as his arms were raised in victory. Barrett was handed his Intercontinental Title and he then exited the squared circle, the referee and medical personnel checking on Booker T who was still out. The cameras faded to a commercial break, everyone wondering if Booker T was going to be able to recover from this.

—Commercial Break—

Back from the break and a live shot of Booker T is shown being escorted to an ambulance on a stretcher. Just as they are about to load the General Manager into the ambulance, Wade Barrett makes another appearance, walking up beside the stretcher and looking down towards Booker T. He tells the GM that he brought all of this on himself and maybe now he won’t be overlooked when it comes to the World Heavyweight Title. The medical team lift Booker T into the waiting ambulance, close the doors and usher it off to the nearest medical facility as Barrett stares off in its direction with a sick grin.

Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez are shown backstage having just watched all that had transpired on one of the flat-screens, shaking their heads in disgust. Suddenly a laugh could be heard behind them, both men snapping around as the Big Show stepped into the picture. He tells the World Champion that what Barrett just did to Booker will pale in comparison to what happens to Del Rio this Sunday inside that Chamber. Show says that he is going to make sure Del Rio bleeds and that he won’t stop until he has sent Del Rio crashing into every bullet-proof glass pad and every chain-link wall. The Champion then cut him off, telling the Big Show that he talks a big game, but even with all of his chances, he has still yet to deliver on any of them and Del Rio feels that Elimination Chamber will bring more of the same. Del Rio and Ricardo slowly back away, laughing and smiling, telling Big Show that on Sunday it will just be yet another failed attempt at regaining Del Rio’s World Title.

—Commercial Break—

Ryback was standing by with Matt Striker and he was asked about last week’s assault by The Shield. He told Striker that he thought his run-ins with The Shield were over, but last week clearly proved otherwise. Ryback says that it may not be next week, it may not be next month, but at some point he is going to get his hands on each and every member of The Shield and take them out. One by one, as he takes them out you will hear everyone in the WWE Universe along with Ryback chanting ‘FEED ME MORE’! This starts a huge chant from the sold-out crowd as SmackDown fades back to the ring.

Main Event – Six Man Tag Team Match – Normal Tag
Big E Langston & Big Show & Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio & Randy Orton & Sheamus

-As Alberto Del Rio’s entrance begins, Ricardo Rodriguez is blindsided by Big Show who sends several vile and vicious punches to his ribcage which brought Del Rio out from the back and the two of them began to brawl down the ramp and by the ring. The match never officially getting started.-
No Contest

As Del Rio and Big Show continued to battle back and forth ’Written In My Face’ and out came The Irish Curse, Sheamus! He immediately went after The Big Show as both he and Del Rio double teamed the larger athlete, before taking him down with a huge double suplex. That seemed to be the cue as ’Here To Show The World’ hit and out came Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. These two men were met by Del Rio and Sheamus as Big E took it too Del Rio and Sheamus managed to send Ziggler back into the corner. Langston planted Del Rio with a huge powerslam, showing off his strength, before turning his attention to attacking Sheamus. As he tugged Sheamus around he was met with several hard right hands by the Irishman, only to have Ziggler come from behind with the Zig Zag! It was at that time that ’Voices’ erupted over the loud speakers, sending the crowd into a frenzy as The Viper came sprinting from the back, heading towards the ring. He dives into the ring and instantly pops up and gets ganged up on by both Ziggler and Big Show. All the other superstars seem to be getting back to their feet as well, battling it out, as Orton manages to fight off both Big E and Dolph, before clotheslining Ziggler over the top rope. When Big E goes for his own clothesline, Orton ducks underneath before delivering a thunderous RKO! When Orton pops up to his feet he turns and is met by Sheamus who lands the Brogue Kick! He stares down at Orton with a slight grin, shrugging his shoulders a bit, only to turn around straight into the Knockout Punch by The Big Show! Everyone is laid out except Del Rio who goes right back after The Big Show, only to be pushed away and nailed with a Knockout Punch as well! Friday Night SmackDown fades off the air, The Big Show standing tall, all the other five men laid out around the ring, the commentators wondering if this will be the same outcome this Sunday.

—End Of Show—

Hopefully EC will be up by the weekend. Enjoy.

Re: WWE 2013 - A New Path

Elimination Chamber Preview

WWE Championship - Singles Match

The Rock(c) vs. CM Punk w/ Paul Heyman

-For more than four hundred days the WWE Championship was in the possession of one man, CM Punk. At the Royal Rumble, that remarkable reign came to an end at the hands of The Rock and now, the Straight Edge Superstar is looking to return the favor and end The People's Champion's reign at the Elimination Chamber. With a shot at headlining his second WrestleMania in consecutive years, CM Punk will stop at nothing to qin back the WWE Title. Can CM Punk recapture the WWE Championship? Or will The Rock head into WrestleMania still the Champion, looking to further cement his legacy as one of the greatest superstars in history?-

World Heavyweight Championship - Elimination Chamber

Alberto Del Rio(c) vs. Big E Langston vs. Big Show vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

-After successfully capturing and then defending the World Heavyweight Championship against The Big Show, Alberto Del Rio sees his toughest challenge to date as he must defend the World Title not only against five other superstars, but must do so within the confines of the Elimination Chamber. Six superstars enter, surrounded by solid steel, bullet-proof glass and chains and only one man can walk out. Will it be Del Rio? Or will someone else walk out of the structure calling themselves the new World Heavyweight Champion?-

Number One Contendership - Elimination Chamber

Brock Lesnar vs. Brodus Clay vs. Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio vs. The Shield

-With Ryback being victorious in the Royal Rumble and subsequently choosing to facr the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, this leaves the WWE Champion without a number one contender. General Manager Vickie Guerrero couldn't think of a better solution to determine the new Number One Contender, than to have them compete inside the Elimination Chamber. For the first time in WWE history, this Chamber will hold seven superstars, as two members of The Shield managed to qualify for the Chamber. They have looked dominent over recent months and the question is, will anybody be able to stop either Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins? With both Shield members seemingly going to co-exist throughout the Chamber, it seems like a tall order for any of the other six superstars that will be competing.-

Grudge Match - Singles Match

John Cena vs. Shane McMahon w/ Kurt Angle

-The past month has been rather unkind to John Cena, to put it lightly. First, his chance of winning the Royal Rumble was dashed when an unknown man entered the ring and proceeded to dump him over the top rope, eliminating him. Fast forward to the next night on Raw, his qualifying match against The Shield to be a part of the Number One Contendership match inside the Elimination Chamber was cut short when the lights went out and saw him lying unconcious. Many questioned, who was behind it all? Insert Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle, to the shock of nearly everyone. Now, John Cena gets to exact a little revenge on one half of the men who ripped away his chance at winning the WWE Championship, when he gets to get his hands on Shane McMahon. However, he will need to stay on alert, because Kurt Angle will be with Shane at ringside, so who knows what role he will play in all of this.-

United States Championship - Singles Match

Xavier Woods(c) vs. Antonio Cesaro

-Xavier Woods sent shock waves through the wrestling world when he made his debut on Monday Night Raw and proceeded to beat Antonio Cesaro and capture the United States Title. Cesaro had been one of the most dominent Champions in all of the WWE and certainly has not taken this loss lightly. Since losing the US Title, Antonio has been on a destructive rampage, using every opportunity he can to prove a point to the new US Champion. Was Xavier Woods' victory just a fluke and Cesaro will regain the US Title or can the young superstar back up his victory with yet another one?-

WWE Tag Team Championships - Normal Tag Match

Team Hell No(c) vs. PrimeTime Players

-Quite possibly the most intriguing match on this pay per view is the one involving the Tag Team Titles. Team Hell No has been anything but cohesive since forming several months ago, but they always manage to stick together in the end and maintain their grip on the Tag Team Divsion. Now enters the PrimeTime Players, two young, upstarts looking to make their own mark on this division and they've looked quite impressive. Can the rocky friendship of Daniel Bryan and Kane coexist long enough to defend their titles once again, or will new champions be crowned in the form of the PrimeTime Players-

--------------------------------------------------------------

credit to Jam for the match banners, thanks a ton dude, they came out really nice. predictions are welcome and the PPV should be posted sometime this weekend, if not, then early next week.
