We see a video package to open up the pay per view. We see a brief run down of the up coming matches on tonight’s show. The three way dance for the WCW World Heavyweight Title gets a lot of time. Benoit, Jarrett and Sid are all shown with the title belt in their hands, but who will come out on top at Superbrawl 2000?

David Penzer: Ladies and gentleman welcome to Superbrawl 2000. This is your opening contest here live!
The fans pop for the opening contest.
David Penzer: This is the finals of the WCW Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Introducing first, from El Paso Texas, here is Chavo Guerrero Junior.
'Chavito' hits and here comes Chavo Guerrero to the ring. He gets a good reaction from the crowd as he claps hands with the fans at ringside.
David Penzer: And his opponent, representing the Filthy Animals. Here is Rey Mysterio Junior.
'Filthy, Dirty, Nasty' hits as here comes Rey Junior to a very good reaction from the crowd. Referee Mark Johnson calls for the bell and we are under way.
Match one
WCW Cruiserweight Title Tournament Final
Chavo Guerrero Jr Vs Rey Mysterio Jr
Chavo and Rey circle the ring for several seconds as the fans cheer for these two cruiserweights. They finally lock up and the mat work starts between these two men who know each other very well. Chavo locks in an arm lock which Rey goes to the mat and then kips up and reverses the arm bar so that the pressure is now on Chavo. Chavo moves over to the ropes and makes his way up the ropes and comes off and uses his momentum to send Rey across the ring. The both men climb to their feet and both go for standing drop kicks at the same time but neither man connects. The two men then stare each other once again as neither of the two can seem to get the upper hand.
The two circle the ring once again before the lock up with a collar and elbow tie up. Chavo gets the upper hand and puts on a hammerlock to Rey. Rey gets lifted into the air and manages to come down with momentum that takes Chavo through into a pinning predicament.

Chavo kicks out and the two men get back to their feet. Rey charges and Chavo rolls Rey up with an inside cradle.

Rey powers out as these two begin to exchange near falls in the early goings.
Chavo takes Mysterio by the arm and whips him into the ropes, Rey comes off with a big spinning heel kick which takes Chavo off his feet. Rey then lifts Chavo up and whips him into the ropes this time and snaps off a big hurricanrana in the centre of the ring. Chavo slides to the outside to regroup after taking some fast paced offence from Rey.
Chavo paces on the arena floor trying to regroup, meanwhile Rey climbs the ropes and dives at Chavo with a somersault plancha off the top rope and wipes Chavo out on the floor. The fans come alive as Rey shows his daredevil like flying ability. Rey eats up the crowd response as he lifts Chavo up to his feet and whips him back into the ring. Rey measures Chavo as he climbs on to the apron. Rey springboards up to the top rope and comes off with a diving splash on to Chavo. Rey hooks the leg.

Chavo powers out before the three count.
Rey gets Chavo back to his feet and hits several forearm shots before he whips him into the corner. Rey charges in but Chavo manages to dodge out of the way and then turns round to nail Rey with right hands to the side of the head. Chavo looks to regain the upper hand in this match up. Chavo takes Rey out of the corner and throws him into the ropes. Chavo hits a flying forearm which levels Rey, Chavo then signals to the top rope as he looks like he is getting ready to fly.
Chavo begins to climb the turn-buckle as Rey lays motionless on the mat. Suddenly Rey springs up and nails Chavo which crotches him on the top turn-buckle, Rey punches Chavo several times in the side of the head before climbing the ropes to join his opponent. Rey signals for the top rope Frankensteiner but Chavo manages to block it and Rey hits the mat hard. Chavo manages to compose himself as Rey gets back up and charges at Chavo. Chavo gets a boot up to stop Rey's momentum and then grabs him around the neck. Chavo dives off the ropes with Rey in a front face lock and he plants him in the middle of the ring with a tornado DDT.
Chavo covers Rey as we have a new champion.

NO!!! Rey somehow managed to power out just before the three. Chavo cannot believe it as Rey has kicked out of one of Chavo's finishing moves. Chavo gets up and lifts Rey with him. Chavo goes for a powerbomb but Rey manages to sneak out the back door and rolls Chavo up.

Chavo gets up and levels Rey with a big clothesline which gives Chavo the advantage back in this match up. Chavo picks Rey up and goes for the Brainbuster but Rey manages to sneak out the back door and hits the ropes and comes off with a running hurricanrana which he snaps off. He then follows it off with a couple of clotheslines which take Chavo off his feet. The momentum is back with Rey now as he looks to pick up the pace of this match up.
Rey lifts Chavo up and goes to whip him into the turn-buckle but it gets reversed and Rey goes flying into the corner but manages to climb to the middle rope and jumps off with a moonsault and he lands on the shoulder of Chavo. Chavo seems happy with himself as he holds Rey on his shoulder but his opponent manages to wriggle free and levels Chavo with an inverted DDT. Rey covers,

No, Chavo escapes the pin fall attempt.
Rey Mysterio is showing all his quickness and skill here. Rey heads to the top rope as he signals that this match up is over. Rey comes flying off the top rope with a big guillotine leg drop but Chavo manages to roll out of the way just in time. Chavo quickly capitalizes and rolls Rey up with a school boy.

The two men climb back to their feet and they begin to exchange right hands as this match continues. Chavo kicks Rey in the gut and lifts him into the air and he plants him with the Brainbuster. The match is seemingly over but Chavo is struggling to get to the cover as this match has taken its toll. Chavo drapes an arm over Rey.

Chavo cannot believe it. Rey Mysterio kicked out of Chavo's finishing move. Chavo is incensed and refuses to believe that Rey kicked out. Chavo turns his attention back to Rey and lifts him up and whips him into the ropes. Chavo goes for a big clothesline but Rey ducks underneath and hits the ropes on the other side. Rey comes back and hits a head scissors take over which takes Chavo off his feet. Chavo charges at Rey but gets a drop toe hold for his trouble. Rey then follows it up with a running seated drop kick to the side of the head. Rey gets up and rolls Chavo through into a pinning predicament.

NO. Somehow Chavo gets his right shoulder up just before the three.
Rey gets up and contests the decision with referee Mark Johnson as he thinks he had the match won. Out of nowhere Chavo rolls Rey up and has a huge handful of Rey's tights.

Chavo Guerrero gets handed the Cruiserweight strap. He takes it in his hands and then thrusts it into the air in jubilation as he celebrates this huge win tonight. A big smile comes across the face of Chavo as he celebrates his victory but the fans give him a mixed response as the fans know that he cheated to win this match. The camera pans to the announcers.
Tony Schiavone: Chavo Guerrero cheating to win his first WCW Cruiserweight Title their guys!
Mike Tenay: What a low life move from Chavo, holding on to the tights of Rey to pick up the victory.
Bobby Hennan: Chavo showed tonight that he is not only a talented performer but he can use his brain, he maybe could not out wrestle but he definitely out thought Rey Mysterio here tonight. A lot of respect for Chavo for winning the tournament.
Tony Schiavone: I may not agree with those statements Brain but at the end of the day Chavo Guerrero is the new WCW Cruiserweight Champion. Up next we have a match that some would say has been building for their whole lives. Its Stevie Ray taking on his brother Booker T. Lets take a look.
The cameras pan away from the commentators to a short video package highlighting the recent differences their has been between the former due known as Harlem Heat. Stevie Ray does a tour of their old neighbourhood and continually mocks Booker for forgetting where he came from and what his roots are. The package ends and we pan away to the ringside area.
David Penzer: This is your next contest tonight at Superbrawl. Introducing first in this brother against brother grudge match, from Harlem New York and weighing in at 292 lbs. He is Stevie Ray.
'Rap Sheet' hits and here comes Stevie Ray out to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Stevie strolls to the ring with a foul look on his face and begins to shout at the fans who boo him. Stevie climbs into the ring to stand beside Penzer.
David Penzer: And his opponent, from Harlem New York, weighing in at 256 lbs, here is Booker T.
'Rap Sheet' continues to play as Booker comes out onto the stage to a decent pop from the crowd. Booker claps hands with the fans as he strides to the ring but he looks all business as he stares at his brother.
Match two
Brother Vs Brother – Stevie Ray Vs Booker T
The two brothers and former ten times WCW World Tag Team Champions stare at each other from across the ring. Mickey Jay calls for the bell as the two men walk forward with blank expressions on their faces. The two men stand nose to nose in the centre of the ring, Stevie then shoves Booker backwards and begins to shout abuse at his younger brother. Booker takes offence and faces his brother once more with a big right hand which rocks Ray backwards. The fans cheer as Booker assaults Stevie with huge right hands in the early goings.
Stevie stumbles backwards into the corner and tries to cover up as Booker continues to pound away at his brother. Mickey Jay steps between the brothers and gets Booker to back away from the corner as Stevie is slumped in the corner. Stevie Ray comes out of the corner and wants to try and restart this match with a test of strength. Stevie raises his right hand up into the air and wants Booker to join him and see who is the stronger brother. Booker responds as he moves towards his brother and lifts his left arm into the air, as Booker does this he gets thumbed in the eye and his foot stamped on by Stevie who takes the cheap way out. Stevie hits a stiff right hand and then bounces off the ropes, Stevie comes flying back with a running scissors kick which lands right on the jaw of Booker. Stevie looks down at Booker and begins to put the boots to him as he lies on the mat.
Stevie lifts Booker up and after a couple of forearms to the side of the head and he throws him head first through the middle rope and to the arena floor. Booker hits hard on the protective mats as Stevie climbs through the ropes and out to join his brother. Stevie talks smack to Booker as he uses the ring to try and get himself back to his feet. Stevie runs forward and clotheslines Booker hard in the chest as he knocks him to the ground. Stevie Ray quickly lifts Booker up and drags him to the announcers booth where he slams him face first onto the table. Stevie Ray is in total control as he takes Booker by the head and whips him into the steel guard rail at ringside. Booker writhes in pain as Stevie continues to shout abuse at him.
Back in the ring and Stevie Ray is still in control. He whips Booker into the ropes and hits a big powerslam which takes Booker up and over. Stevie covers

Booker gets the shoulder up before three but it takes a lot of effort.
Stevie then stands back up and drops three well measured elbow drops into the heart of Booker before covering the far leg and going for the victory once more.

Kick out from Booker.
Stevie gets to his feet looking frustrated. He helps Booker to his feet and then kicks him in the gut, Stevie looks down and puts Booker's head in between his legs and hooks his arms. Stevie lifts Booker up for the Slapjack but he only gets him half way up before Booker counters and back drops Stevie over his head and to the mat. Booker seems to have gained a second wind as he nails Stevie with repeated right hands to the head and body as he backs him into the ropes. Booker whips him across and hits a huge Harlem Side Kick which takes Stevie off his feet.
Booker follows this up with a kick to the gut and an Axe Kick which takes his brother down once more. The fans begin to come alive as Booker T retakes the advantage in this match up. Booker does a spinaroonie after the Axe Kick and the fans pop for Booker as he begins to climb the top rope. Stevie Ray slowly climbs back to his feet, only to be knocked down once more with a missile drop kick from the top rope. Booker shouts out to the crowd as they begin to chant his name. Booker lifts Stevie up once more and puts his arm across his brothers chest and neck. Booker lifts Stevie up and slams him down with his new finishing move, the Bookend. Booker covers Stevie.

Booker T has picked up a big victory here tonight against his older brother. Booker climbs onto the middle ropes as he soaks up the crowd appreciation.
We see the cameras pan around the arena for several moments soaking up the atmosphere before we head straight back to the ring for the next contest.
David Penzer: Ladies and gentleman this is your next contest tonight and it is a special added match for tonight's Superbrawl pay per view. Introducing first to the ring accompanied by the Franchise Shane Douglas. Representing the Revolution, here is the Wall.
'Revolution' hits as the Franchise Shane Douglas makes his way out. The fans automatically boo Douglas as he grins at the capacity crowd. He turns and points back at the entrance way as The Wall comes through the curtain and out to the top of the ramp way. This man mountain looks totally pumped for his pay per view debut here tonight. The Wall strides to the ring as the Franchise screams encouragement and advise.
David Penzer: And his opponent, from New Jersey, here is Kanyon.
'Innovator of offence' hits and out comes Kanyon who has been on a losing streak as of late. We see a quick video package of his recent losses and the tantrums that Kanyon has thrown after his matches. Kanyon slides into the ring for this match up.
Match three
The Wall with The Franchise Shane Douglas Vs Kanyon
Kanyon and The Wall size each other up in this unscheduled match here tonight. Kanyon starts wailing away with big hands to the head and chest of the Wall and they rock him back slightly. The Wall retaliates with a big uppercut which floors Kanyon. The Wall picks Kanyon up and pushes him against the ropes. The Wall whips Kanyon across the ring and drills him with a big boot to the jaw. The Wall is control as he picks Kanyon up once again. The Wall throws Kanyon in to the ropes and catches up with a big powerslam which takes Kanyon down. The Wall covers.

The Wall lifts Kanyon up by his hair and tosses him into the corner. The Wall walks over and hits a couple of big knee lifts into the gut of Kanyon as he screams in pain. Kanyon tries to come back with some right hands but Wall shrugs these off and slaps his massive hand across the throat of Kanyon and begins to choke him out. The Wall backs away from the corner and sizes up his opponent, he charges in but Kanyon manages to get both his feet up and into his feet. The Wall staggers back before charging back at his opponent once again. Kanyon meanwhile at climbed onto the middle ropes and comes off with a diving back elbow which takes the big man down. Kanyon then waits for the Wall to get back to his feet and hits a standing drop kick and then several clotheslines. Kanyon has taken control of this match up as he picks the Wall up from the mat.
He grabs the Wall and goes for the Flatliner. The Wall battles out of it with big elbows to the side of Kanyon's head. The Wall goes for a big roundhouse but Kanyon ducks and reels off some stiff right hands of his own. Kanyon hits the ropes and the Wall goes for a big boot, Kanyon ducks and hits the ropes on the other side, Kanyon comes off with a running drop kick to the knee of the Wall. Kanyon follows it up with a chop block which takes the Wall off his feet and to the mat. Kanyon shouts out to the crowd as he climbs up the ropes and to the top. Kanyon measures the Wall as he climbs to his feet, Kanyon dives off with a big cross body block but The Wall manages to catch him and puts him in a front face lock. The Wall hoists Kanyon into the air and plants him with a big choke slam in the middle of the ring. The Wall covers

The Franchise Shane Douglas slides under the bottom rope and in to the ring to join his Revolution team mate. Shane Douglas pushes Mickey Jay to the side as he stands next to the Wall and raises his hand in victory. The fans boo the two men as they make their way from ringside.
Meanwhile back in the ring Mickey Jay helps Kanyon back to his feet as Kanyon has suffered another loss here tonight. The 'Innovator of offence' has been on a bad run as of late. Kanyon gets back to his feet after recovering from the choke slam. Kanyon screams out to the crowd and turns to Mickey Jay and cannot believe he suffered another loss. Kanyon drills Mickey with a right hand before grabbing him and hitting a Flatliner which leaves Mickey Jay laid out as Kanyon leaves the ring in anger once again.
The camera heads backstage to Mean Gene Okerlund standing by with WCW Hardcore Champion Brian Knobs and Fit Finlay.
Gene Okerlund: Brian Knobs tonight you defend your WCW Hardcore Title against Bam Bam Bigelow, how do you rate your chances ahead of tonight’s match up?
Brian Knobs: Gene, you don't get to the top of the ladder in the hardcore division by backing down and stepping back from a challenge and tonight with Fit Finlay in my corner I am going to go out to that ring and show all these red necks what Brian Knobs is all about.
Gene Okerlund: You seem pretty confident Knobs?
Brian Knobs: Why wouldn't I be? I am the best hardcore champion this company has seen and tonight I am going to prove it. Bigelow, tonight you are going to see what Nasty is all about!!
Knobs walks away from the interview area as Finlay stands look menacing in the background. The camera pans to the ringside area.
David Penzer: This is your next contest here tonight and it is for the WCW Hardcore Title. Introducing first, the challenger, from Asbury Park New Jersey, here is Bam Bam Bigelow.
'Greetings' hits as here comes the Beast from the East, Bam Bam Bigelow. Bam Bam pushes out a shopping cart full of weapons. Trash cans, mops, metal sheets, road signs and crutches.
David Penzer: And his opponent, he is the WCW Hardcore Champion and he is accompanied to the ring by Fit Finlay. Here is Brian Knobs.
'Hardcore child' hits as Knobs and Finlay come out from the backstage area to the ring to a chorus of boos.
Match four
WCW Hardcore Title: Brian Knobs (c) with Fit Finlay Vs Bam Bam Bigelow
Bigelow unloads his plunder into the ring as Knobs hands his title belt to Charles Robinson. Bigelow slides into the ring with a steel trash can lid as Knobs meets him with a stop sign. Knobs begins to nail Bigelow repeatedly with shots to the head and body with the stop sign. Knobs whips Bigelow into the ropes and swings his stop sign once more but Bigelow ducks and drops Knobs with a big clothesline. Bigelow lifts up a steel trash can as Knobs clambers back to his feet. Bigelow whacks Knobs over the head with the trash can three times before he uses the can to ram Knobs through the ropes and to the arena floor.
Bigelow climbs to the outside to follow his opponent. He walks over to the shopping cart full of plunder and takes a crutch and begins to stalk Knobs on the arena floor. Bigelow walks over and waffles Knobs across the back with the crutch as the fans cheer for Bigelow. Bigelow goes for another shot with the crutch but gets nailed with a forearm from behind by Fit Finlay. Bam Bam drops the crutch as he begins to slug it out with Finlay at ringside. Finlay uses stiff right hands and forearms to rock the number one contender for the hardcore title. Bam Bam comes back and clotheslines Finlay and then lifts him back to his feet and throws him shoulder and head first into the steel guard rail.
As Bigelow takes the upper hand against Finlay he gets waffled from behind by Knobs and a steel chair. Knobs nails him several times over the back before rolling his opponent back into the ring. Knobs makes the cover.

No, Bigelow gets his left shoulder up
Knobs looks disgusted as Bigelow manages to kick out of those chair shots. Knobs scours the ring for some more plunder as he picks up a cookie sheet. He screams at Bigelow to get back to his feet before nailing him over the top of the head which makes a great sound but doesn’t do a great deal of damage. Knobs drop the sheet and begins to work away with a flurry of punches to Bigelow. Knobs whips Bigelow into the corner and then charges in with a big corner splash. Bigelow stumbles out of the corner as Knobs picks up a steel trash can. Knobs connects with a trash can shot to the head as Bigelow is levelled. Knobs covers once again.

Bigelow powers out as this match continues.
Brian Knobs drops an elbow drop across the chest of Bigelow and then rolls to the outside and begins looking under the ring. Knobs finds what he is looking for, a table. Knobs snatches the table from under the ring and slides it back in as Bigelow begins to climb back to his feet. Knobs clotheslines Bigelow once again as Knobs begins to assemble the table. Knobs finishes setting up the table and he lifts Bigelow back to his feet, Knobs kicks Bam Bam in the gut and puts his head between his legs as he looks for a powerbomb through the table. Knobs gets Bigelow half way up but Bigelow counters it and back drops Knobs high over his head.
Bigelow retakes control of this match as he hits a drop kick to Knobs and then follows it up with a running shoulder block. Bigelow lifts Knobs up once and again and slams him down with a powerbomb of his own. Bigelow then rolls the lifeless body of Brian Knobs on to the table. Bigelow points to the top rope and signals for a Moonsault off the top rope. The fans come alive as Bam Bam begins to climb the ropes. Bigelow settles himself in position but before he comes off the top Fit Finlay from ringside uses a fire extinguisher which sprays Bam Bam right in the eyes. Bigelow looses his balance and topples backwards off the top rope. As he falls Knobs just about manages to roll off the table as Bigelow goes crashing back first through the table.
Both men are laid out as Bigelow just crashed through that table. Knobs very slowly drapes an arm over Bigelow and covers him.

No. Bigelow somehow before three manages to get a shoulder up. Brian Knobs cannot believe it and neither can Fit Finlay at ringside. Finlay grabs a steel chair from ringside and slides it into Knobs who measures Bigelow and begs him to get to his feet. Knobs swings the chair but Bigelow ducks and manages to lift Knobs into the air. Bigelow has Knobs over his shoulder as he drops him with Greetings From Asbury Park. Bigelow covers as Finlay tries to climb into the ring.

Bam Bam Bigelow wins the match up and the WCW Hardcore Title as Finlay was too late.

Bam Bam Bigelow gets handed his new WCW Hardcore Title belt as Fit Finlay tries to help Brian Knobs. Charles Robinson raises the hand of Bigelow as he then slowly begins to make his way to the backstage area.
We see a video package of the last few weeks that have developed the rivalry between two of the biggest stars in WCW. DDP and Luger are shown having several altercations involving both Kimberley Page and Elizabeth. We then see a caption showing DDP Vs Lex Luger tonight.
David Penzer: This is our next contest here at Superbrawl. Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by his manager Elizabeth. From Chicago Illinois, here is the Total Package Lex Luger.
'Narcissist' hits as Lex Luger and Elizabeth make their way towards the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd in attendance.
Luger and Liz climb into the ring and the spotlight is on Luger as Liz strips off his top and trousers as the Total Package flexes his muscles to the delight of nobody. Lex Luger looks very happy with himself as he continues to get booed.
David Penzer: And his opponent, from the Jersey Shore, he is Diamond Dallas Page.
'Self High Five' hits and here comes DDP who is sprinting out from the backstage area to the ring. The fans cheer DDP as he slides into the ring to kick-start this match up.
Match five
The Total Package Lex Luger with Elizabeth Vs Diamond Dallas Page
DDP kick-starts this match up as Luger is caught with rights and lefts as this match is a personal affair. DDP whips Luger into the ropes but Luger holds the ropes and rolls to the outside as he tries to regroup after the early flurry from DDP.
DDP follows Luger out to the arena floor and begins to follow Luger around the ring. DDP breaks into a run as Luger rolls back into the ring. Page follows him and gets met with a double sledge to the back as he rolls back in. Luger then stomps on Page repeatedly as he tries to keep his opponent grounded. Luger then bounces off the ropes and hits a running kick to the side of Page's head. Luger struts around the ring as he has taken control of this match. Luger shouts out to the crowd and flexes as a wide smile appears across his face.
Luger lifts DDP back to his feet but DDP breaks free of Lugers hold and starts drilling Luger with big rights and lefts, Luger backs away and ends up in the corner. DDP climbs to the middle ropes and hits 10 punches to the top of Luger's head much to the delight of the crowd as they count along with Page. DDP climbs down and whips Luger across to the other corner and Luger hits hard.
DDP follows him in and clotheslines the Total Package in the corner. DDP backs off as Luger staggers out of the corner. DDP grabs Luger and locks him in a belly to belly suplex. DDP hooks the far leg.

Page clambers back to his feet and lifts Luger up with him. DDP puts Luger's head between his legs and plants him face first with a front pile driver. DDP then quickly makes his way over to the corner and scales the turn-buckle. Page measures his opponent as Luger climbs to his feet. DDP comes off the top rope with a diving clothesline which takes the Total Package off his feet. DDP covers again.

No Luger kicks out and DDP looks frustrated as he continues to try and put Luger away.
DDP climbs back up to his feet and begs Luger to get back up. Luger stumbles against the ropes and DDP charges over and meets him with a big clothesline which takes both men up and over the top rope and they spill to the arena floor below.
DDP slowly gets back to his feet as the fall to the outside seems to have taken some effect. DDP lifts Luger up and throws him head first into the steel guard rail. DDP gets cheered by the crowd as he grabs Luger by the arm and whips him into the steel ring steps. Lex Luger manages to reverse it and DDP goes shoulder first into the cold steel. The fans boo as Luger looks pleased with himself after the reversal.
Luger now puts the boots to the fallen DDP. Meanwhile Elizabeth gets herself involved in the match as she begins to distract referee Billy Silverman. While the referee's back is turned, Lex Luger lifts up the steel steps and he drops them across the shoulder and back of DDP. Page writhes in pain as Luger stands victorious over his opponent. Luger soaks up the boos from the crowd as he lifts DDP up to his feet. Luger takes DDP's arm and drags him to the steel ring post. Luger swings DDP's arm and wraps it around the steel post. DDP collapses to the floor as he screams in pain once more. Referee Billy Silverman returns to the action after being distracted by Elizabeth. He screams at Luger to get the action back in the ring. The Total Package lifts Page up to his feet and rolls him back into the ring.
Luger rolls back in and makes a cover.

Lex Luger looks furious as he covers DDP once more.

Page powers out once more. Luger climbs to his feet and then begins to put the boots to Page once more. Luger grabs Page by the head and lifts him up. Luger whips Page into the ropes and hits a big powerslam. Luger then quickly locks on an arm bar on the injured shoulder of Page as he looks for a submission. Page is in a lot of pain as Luger cranks on the hold looking for the win. After several moments the two men are back to their feet but Luger still has an arm bar on. Page manages to fight out of the hold by nailing Luger repeatedly with right hands to the head, he follows this up with a discuss clothesline but Page holds his right shoulder which seems to have been injured by the previous attack by Luger.
Page climbs to his feet and looks to reclaim some momentum as he begins to work over Luger with body shots. Page goes for the Diamond Cutter but Luger shrugs it off and pushes Page into the ropes. DDP flies off the ropes with a diving clothesline which takes the Total Package down. The crowd comes alive as DDP signals for the Diamond Cutter once again but he continues to favour his right shoulder. DDP picks Luger up and plants him with the Diamond Cutter. The fans pop for the finishing move!!!
DDP slowly crawls for the cover as he continues to favour his right arm. Page covers Lex.

No Luger's foot is on the bottom rope so Billy Silverman doesn't complete the count. The camera pans to the outside were Elizabeth looks innocent. We see a quick replay of Elizabeth putting Luger's foot on the bottom rope. DDP is livid as he climbs to his feet to shout at Liz at ringside. Billy Silverman tries to hold DDP back as he cannot believe that Elizabeth has got herself involved in this match that DDP seemingly had won.
Whilst DDP and the referees backs are turned, Lex Luger has slowly rolled to the outside and taken a baseball bat from under the ring, he rolls back in and stands behind DDP. Elizabeth climbs onto the apron as Billy Silverman moves in between DDP and Liz. Silverman is shouting at Liz to get off the apron. Whilst this happens, Lex Luger strikes with the bat. Luger nails DDP across the neck and the injured shoulder. DDP crumples on the mat as Luger discards the evidence and throws the bat to the outside.
Lex Luger then hoists DDP into the air and puts him in the Torture Rack. Elizabeth gets off the apron as Billy Silverman turns around and looks at DDP in the Torture Rack and he calls for the bell.

The Total Package has stolen one here tonight at Superbrawl. Luger puts a few boots to Page who is laid out on the mat but Billy Silverman gets him to leave the ring. Luger and Elizabeth smile and seem happy with their nights work as they head up the ramp way. The fans boo the duo loudly as we see DDP's wife Kimberley hit the ring to tend to her fallen husband. Some trainers come out to help Page as his shoulder and arm are tended to after the baseball bat shot and the Torture Rack.
The Total Package and Elizabeth go through the curtain as DDP is clearly in a lot of pain.
~~~Tag Titles Time~~~
We see a video package highlighting the past few weeks and the build up to this triangle match for the WCW World Tag Team Titles. After several moments we head to ringside.
David Penzer: This is the next contest here tonight and it is a three way dance for the WCW World Tag Team titles. Introducing first they are the first team of challengers. Being accompanied to the ring by Disco Inferno, Johnny The Bull and Big Vito, they are the Mamalukes.
'Speak Softly Love' hits as the Mamalukes stride out to the ring to a decent reception from the crowd in attendance.
David Penzer: Introducing the second team of challengers, accompanied to the ring by the Franchise Shane Douglas, representing the Revolution, they are Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn.
'Revolution' hits as here comes the three ECW alumni. The fans give them a poor reaction and boo the three men.
David Penzer: And finally, the defending WCW World Tag Team Champions, accompanied to the ring by Daffney, they are David Flair and Crowbar.
Screams are heard as here come the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Daffney leads out her unorthodox team of David Flair and Crowbar. The trio make their way towards the ring as they get ready for this match up.

Three Way Dance for the WCW World Tag Team Titles
The Loonies (c) (David Flair and Crowbar) with Daffney Vs The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) with Disco Inferno Vs The Revolution (Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn) with The Franchise Shane Douglas.
Crowbar and Dean Malenko are the two men starting this match up. All six men are involved in this high tempo match. The Revolution share some good chain wrestling exchanges with Crowbar and Big Vito in the early goings.
The close of the match sees Perry Saturn plant David Flair with a Death Valley Driver in the middle of the ring as the other competitors brawl on the outside. Saturn gets the three count as the Revolution win the tag team belts.

We see a quick video package showing the non title victory for Billy Kidman several weeks ago. Kidman is shown defeating Scott Hall and earning his title match tonight. The camera then pans back inside the arena and to David Penzer.
David Penzer: This is your next contest here tonight and it is for the WCW United States Championship. Introducing first representing the Filthy Animals, here is Billy Kidman.
'Filthy, Dirty, Nasty' hits as here comes Billy Kidman. The high-flyer gets a good reaction from the crowd as he makes his way to the ring and he is all smiles.
David Penzer: And his opponent, representing the New World Order, he is the WCW U.S Champion. The Outsider, Scott Hall!!!
'Wolfpac' hits and here comes the Bad Guy towards the ring. Scott Hall saunters out of the backstage area in his typical cocky fashion. He slowly makes his way to the ring with his title belt around his waist and wearing a Wolfpac t-shirt. He climbs into the ring and swaggers around the ring as he prepares himself for this match.
Match seven
WCW United States Heavyweight Title: Billy Kidman Vs The Outsider Scott Hall (c)
Billy Kidman looks ready to go as he shouts at Hall to come at him. Hall slowly takes off his Wolfpac t-shirt and goes to throw it in to the crowd but then bluffs and throws it to the arena floor. The fans boo Hall as he begins to take off his title belt. Kidman has had enough and pushes Hall to the mat. Hall looks disgusted as he gets back to his feet and throws his famous toothpick into the face of Kidman. A huge smile comes across Scott Hall's face but that doesn't last for long as Billy Kidman snaps and charges at Hall and takes him down with a double leg take down. Kidman is on top of Hall and is drilling him with rights and lefts. Hall tries to cover up and defend himself as Kidman continuously pounds his opponent.
Hall finally manages to push Kidman aside and gets back to his feet, he meets a drop kick from Kidman as it takes him backwards through the ropes and to the arena floor. Hall tries to shake off the cobwebs as he walks back and forth on the floor. Meanwhile in the ring, Kidman gets up a head of steam and charges at Hall and hits him with a running baseball slide which takes Hall tumbling into the steel guard rail at ringside. Kidman is all fired up as the fans cheer for the under dog in this match. Kidman throws a couple of forearm shots into the side of Hall's head before rolling him under the bottom rope and back into the ring.
Billy Kidman climbs onto the apron and then to the top rope. Hall gets back to his feet and staggers slightly before getting drilled with a top rope missile drop kick from Kidman. Kidman hooks the far leg

Kidman helps Hall to his feet and whips him into the ropes, Kidman ducks his head looking for a back body drop but Hall manages to stop just before he gets to Kidman, Hall stomps on Kidman's foot and he stands up, only to meet a stiff straight right hand from Hall. Kidman pops up once again and gets hit with another right, and then another right. Hall seems to have taken some control back in this match up as he grabs Kidman by the arm and whips him against the ropes and takes him down with a big clothesline.
Hall climbs back to his feet with a smile across his face, he looks very happy with himself after taking control of this match. Hall turns around to turn his attention back to Kidman who is just regaining his feet. Hall slaps him across the head, mocking his challenger with another slap. Hall looks very cocky as he picks Kidman up and slams him down with a big vertical suplex. Hall lifts Kidman up once more and kicks him in the gut and hits him with a spinning belly to belly suplex. Hall makes the cover.

Scott Hall looks annoyed that he didn’t get the victory. He puts the boot to Kidman who takes more and more punishment. The Bad Guy lifts Kidman up by the hair and whips him into the ropes, Kidman dives at Hall with a cross body block but Hall catches him and mocks Kidman as he struts around the ring. Hall then propels Kidman over his head with a huge fall away slam!!!
Hall hooks the far leg.

Scott Hall cannot believe it! He thought he had Billy Kidman beaten but his opponent keeps fighting back. Scott Hall argues with referee Charles Robinson as he believes he had the match won. Hall pushes Robinson who takes offence and pushes Hall backwards, as he stumbles Kidman manages to roll Hall up.

No, Hall just kicks out. Kidman nearly won the U.S title. Hall gets back up as does Kidman, Hall levels him with several right hands before throwing him into the corner. Hall follows Kidman into the corner with a big splash. Kidman slumps in the corner as Hall begins to stomp away on the chest and head of the young high flyer. Scott Hall taunts the crowd as they boo him once again. Hall turns and around lifts Kidman out of the corner and positions him in the middle of the ring. Hall starts to slap his opponent several times in the face as he mocks him once again.
Kidman staggers as Hall slaps Kidman across the head some more. Kidman then suddenly fights back with a big right hand and then a forearm. These shots rock Hall as the fans come alive for Kidman. Billy Kidman then hits a big drop kick which takes Hall off his feet. Kidman takes his time getting to his feet after the beating he has taken. Kidman helps Hall up and then whips him into the ropes, Kidman hits a spinning sit out powerbomb onto Hall. Again Kidman clambers back to his feet as he tries to build some momentum.
Kidman lifts Hall up and drills him in the side of the head with several forearm shots. Kidman then whips Hall into the ropes and hits a big side hip toss and then follows it up with a running leg drop across the throat of Hall. Kidman is looking so fired up as he begins to climb the ropes and to the top. Hall slowly gets back to his feet as Kidman comes flying off the top rope with a diving cross body block. Kidman covers.

Kidman sees his opportunity as he drags Hall by the arms towards the corner. Kidman signals for the Shooting Star Press as the fans climb to their feet. Kidman starts climbing the ropes as he goes for the Shooting Star, he gets to the top rope but he takes a second to long as Hall manages to get back to his feet and pushes Kidman's legs away and he crotches on the top rope. Hall then turns Kidman's body slightly on the ropes as he carries him off the ropes with Kidman high in the air, Hall drops Kidman down with the Outsider's Edge.
Hall covers Billy Kidman.

The Bad Guy has retained his championship tonight but Billy Kidman put on a hell of a performance and pushed Scott Hall all the way. Hall looks slightly groggy as he makes his way up the ramp way with his title belt. The camera pans backstage and we go to Mean Gene Okerlund who is standing by with the Hardcore Legend, Terry Funk.
Gene Okerlund: I am here with Terry Funk at this time. Terry tonight you have a tag team match against Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash of the New World Order, if you lose your gone from WCW. But if you win you reclaim your position as Commissioner of this company, firstly how are you feeling ahead of this match?
Terry Funk: This match could be my last Gene, and you know what, If it is going to be my last match then I will be going out on top with a bang. Tonight I will be joined by a mystery partner and by god he is going to cause one hell of a pop. Tonight me and my partner and going to walk that aisle and defeat the nWo and hopefully put them out of business once and for all.
Gene Okerlund: Can you shed any light at all on who the mystery partner will be?
Terry Funk: You will have to just wait and see but let me tell you this, it's time, it's time!!
Funk smiles to the camera and then leaves the interview area to head towards the ring for his upcoming match.
We see a video package highlighting the rivalry between Terry Funk and the nWo over the last few weeks and months. We then pan back to the arena and to David Penzer.
David Penzer: Ladies and gentleman this is your next contest here tonight. This match will be fought under tag team rules and here are the stipulations. If the New World Order win then Terry Funk will be forced to retire from WCW and the wrestling world. But if Terry Funk and his mystery partner win tonight then Kevin Nash will be stripped of the Commissioner's position and Terry Funk will regain the position. So introducing first, representing the New World Order. They are, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and Big Sexy Kevin Nash.
'Rockhouse' hits as the two nWo members stroll out from the backstage area. The two men receive a chorus of boos as they stride towards the ring.
David Penzer: And their opponents, introducing first, from Amarillo Texas, he is the Hardcore Legend, Terry Funk.
'Fistful' hits as here comes Terry Funk for what could be the last time. Funk has a microphone in his left hand as he steadies himself ready to speak.
Terry Funk: You boys have been wanting to know who my partner is. Well I have some bad news for everyone here tonight, he is not going to be walking down this aisle.
Wide smiles appear across the face's of Steiner and Nash as the fans boo. Funk slowly ambles down the ramp towards the ring, alone.
Terry Funk: You see, I could not find myself a partner to walk this aisle tonight and stand by my side. And there is a perfectly good reason for that.
Nash and Steiner begin to laugh at Funk as he moves closer towards the ring.
Terry Funk: But seeing as my partner won't be walking the aisle tonight I may as well climb in the ring and join you.
As Funk drops his microphone a massive pop from the crowd erupts!!!! Steiner and Nash look totally perplexed as they see Funk making his way towards the ring. But they haven't realised thatSting!!! Has returned and is standing right behind them in the ring. Sting rappelled down from the rafters right behind the two members from the nWo. Sting looks in great shape standing tall in his black trench coat. As Terry Funk begins to climb through the ropes, Sting strikes. Sting spins Scott Steiner round and nails him with a massive right hand, this match is under way.
Match eight
If the nWo win then Funk must retire. If Funk's team win then he is the new Commissioner.
nWo (Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and Big Sexy Kevin Nash) Vs Terry Funk and Sting.
Funk climbs into the ring to join his partner and he begins to go toe to toe with Kevin Nash. Sting works over Steiner with right hands, he backs him into the corner and climbs to the middle ropes. Sting gets ten shots in to the top of the head before he jumps down and goes over to help his partner with Kevin Nash. Steiner rolls to the outside as Sting lines up Kevin Nash and drills him with a big running clothesline which takes Nash up and over the top rope and to the arena floor.
The fans are on their feet as the nWo can't quite believe what has happened in the early goings in this match up. Steiner and Nash try and regroup on the arena floor as the fans are on their feet for the return of Sting here tonight. Sting and Funk stand side by side as they stare down at their nWo opponents. Referee Billy Silverman exchanges words with both teams as he backs Sting into the corner to leave Terry Funk to square off against Scott Steiner.
Steiner climbs back into the ring as Kevin Nash takes his position in the corner. The fans are chanting for Sting as Steiner and Funk lock up. Steiner has the definite power advantage and pushes Funk back to the corner. Steiner delivers several right hands before unleashing a knife edge chop to the chest. Steiner grabs Funk around the waist and comes out of the corner with a spinning belly to belly suplex. Steiner covers but before Silverman can make the count he has rolled off and Steiner is doing press ups in the middle of the ring.
Steiner gets back to his feet and poses to the crowd as they boo him. Steiner shouts abuse at Sting as he lifts Terry Funk back to his feet. Steiner bounces off the ropes but gets met with a standing drop kick by Terry Funk. An incredible piece of agility from the fifty year old plus veteran. Funk gets back to his feet as does Steiner, Funk begins to unload with massive left hooks which rock Steiner. Funk takes Steiner by the arm and whips him into the ropes, Steiner comes off and gets decked with another wild left hook from Funk. Funk signals that he is going to take in Sting and Steiner rolls to his corner.
Funk shouts out to the crowd as Kevin Nash tags himself in. Funk moves away from his corner and heads towards Kevin Nash. The two men lock up with a collar and elbow tie up. Nash backs away and drills Funk with a big knee lift to the gut. Nash follows it up with a big elbow to the back of Funk's head. Nash nails Funk with stiff forearm shots which moves Funk back against the ropes. Nash continues to unload right hands and then whips Funk across the ring and catches him on the jaw with a big boot. Nash bounces off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop. Nash covers.

Nash lifts Funk back to his feet and lifts him up on to his shoulder, Nash carries Funk to the corner and drops him head first onto the turn-buckle with Snake Eyes. Nash bounces off the ropes and clobbers Funk with a big clothesline. Nash hooks the far leg.

Nash seems frustrated as he drags Funk by the air to the New World Order corner. Nash tags in Steiner who climbs through the ropes and begins to put the boots to Funk who is slumped in the corner. Steiner then helps Funk to his feet and mockingly slaps Funk across the face several times. Funk comes back with a wild left hand which catches Steiner plush in the face and the fans come alive. They are immediately silenced as Steiner drills Funk with six or seven big right hands which takes Funk to the mat. Steiner drops an elbow across the throat of Funk and then lifts him straight back up to his feet. Steiner bounces off the ropes as a groggy Terry Funk stands in the centre of the ring. Steiner charges but Funk manages to duck and on the return he levels Steiner with a lariat. Both men are down in the centre of the ring and the fans are coming alive.
“Sting, Sting, Sting, Sting, Sting!!!”
The fans begin to cheer as Terry Funk begins to crawl towards his tag team partner. The two men both get to their corners at nearly the same time. Nash and Sting tag in to this match up. Sting is in like a house on fire as he goes to work on Big Sexy with rights and lefts. Steiner comes back into the fray and meets the same fate as Sting goes to work on him as well. Sting hits Nash with a standing drop kick as Steiner falls into the corner. Sting rushes across to the opposite corner and charges across the ring and nails Steiner with a stinger splash in the corner.
Sting is in total control as he goes toe to toe with Kevin Nash. Terry Funk comes back into the fray as he begins to face off against Scott Steiner. The four men go back and forth as this match breaks down. Steiner gets the upper hand of Terry Funk and throws him through the ropes to the arena floor. Now its two on one against Sting and the numbers soon take their toll as Steiner levels Sting with a double axe handle to the back. Nash and Steiner now go to work on Sting as they pummel him in the corner. But after several shot and Sting begins to no sell the offence from his opponents.
Sting battles out of the corner and takes it to both men with right hands. Sting manages to take Steiner off his feet with several right hands. Sting then turns his attention to Kevin Nash as he begins to exchange right hands. Nash begins to back away and Sting charges and knocks the big man up and over the top rope with a running clothesline.
Kevin Nash lands in a heap on the floor, Terry Funk reacts and moves over to Nash. Funk climbs on top of Nash and begins to throw big left hands to the face and body.
Meanwhile back in the ring and while Sting watches the action on the outside, this gives Big Poppa Pump the opportunity to creep up behind Sting and nail him in the spine. Steiner grabs Sting around the waist and goes for a big German suplex. He gets Sting into the air but Sting manages to get out of the move and lands on his feet behind Steiner. Sting kicks Steiner in the back and locks on the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting nails his finishing move and hooks the leg.

Terry Funk climbs back into the ring and joins his partner for the evening Sting. The two men get their hands raised by referee Billy Silverman. The fans cheer for the two representatives of WCW. The two men soak up the cheers as Sting puts over Funk and the two men embrace.
Steiner and Nash slowly make their way up the aisle way looking disgusting that not only could they not retire Terry Funk, but he is now the new Commissioner of World Championship Wrestling. Kevin Nash hurls abuse at the two men as they slowly walk up the ramp way.

We go to a video package running down the three men in the upcoming match. The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett representing the New World Order is going for his first world title. Sid Vicious is gunning for another reign as World Champion. And of course the Crippler Chris Benoit is looking to hold on to the title that he won at the last Pay Per View, Souled Out. Who will come out on top in this three way dance? We head to Penzer.
David Penzer: Ladies and gentleman this is your Main Event of the evening, and it is a three way dance for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

'Chosen One/Rockhouse' hits as Jeff Jarrett makes his way out with his trusty guitar in his right hand. Jarrett poses for the crowd as he walks the aisle. The Chosen One gets resounding boos as he climbs into the ring.
David Penzer: Introducing next, we have the second challenger, hailing from Marion, Arkansas. Here is Sid Vicious.
'Master and Ruler' hits as Sid Vicious makes his way out to a good pop from the crowd.
David Penzer: And their opponent, he is the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, from Calgary Alberta Canada, here is the Crippler, Chris Benoit!
'Too much information' hits and out walks the WCW Champion. Benoit looks intense as he strides down the walkway and towards the ring for this three way dance.

The Crippler Chris Benoit (c) Vs Sid Vicious Vs The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett
The three men stand tall in the ring as they eye one another up ahead of this match up. Referee Mickey Jay calls for the bell and this one is under way. Benoit and Sid both move over and begin to double team Jeff Jarrett from the get go. They pummel the Chosen One with right hands as he gets backed into the corner. Benoit drills Jarrett in the chest with several knife edge chops, he then takes Jarrett by the arm and whips him across the ring into the ropes on the opposite side, as Jarrett comes charging back he gets met with a big boot from Sid which catches flush on the jaw. Jarrett quickly rolls to the outside to regroup after taking some punishment from both his opponents in the early goings.
Sid and Benoit turn round to face each other as Jarrett recovers on the floor. Sid and Benoit move towards each other and lock up in the middle of the ring with a collar and elbow tie up. Sid with his size advantage manages to over power Benoit and backs Benoit into the corner turn-buckle, after several seconds the referee breaks up the two men. Sid backs away from the corner as the referee moves, Sid charges at Benoit who manages to get both feet up into the face of Sid. Benoit follows it up by charging out of the corner with a clothesline. Sid is still on his feet, Benoit hits a couple of knife edge chops then hits the ropes, Benoit comes off with a running drop kick to the left knee of Sid. Benoit takes the big man off his feet.
Benoit tries to capitalise on getting Sid off his feet and begins to stomp away at the right leg of Sid. He then drops an elbow drop across Sid's chest and makes a cover.

Benoit helps Sid back up to his feet and the two men begin to exchange right hands in the centre of the ring. As this is going on Jeff Jarrett climbs back into the ring and joins the fray. Jarrett joins Benoit in laying into Sid with stiff punches. The two men begin to double team Sid Vicious. They take Sid by the arms and whip him into the ropes, both men go for a clothesline but Sid comes charging through and knocks both men down with two massive clotheslines. Sid looks pumped up as the fans come alive. Sid motions for the two men to get up as Jarrett gets met with a big boot which levels him. Sid then lifts Benoit up and drops him with a scoop slam. Sid is in control as he calls out to the crowd and they oblige by making some noise for the ruler of the world.
Sid signals for a double choke slam as both Jarrett and Benoit climb to the their feet. He has both men goozled and signals that he is going to lift them both into the air. Benoit and Jarrett both kick Sid in the gut which means he drops the hold. Both men quickly grab Sid and lift him high into the air with a double suplex. Jarrett waits for Sid to get back to his feet and hits a beautiful standing drop kick which catches Sid in the top of the chest and the jaw, Benoit follows this up by clotheslining Sid up and over the top rope. Sid Vicious slumps to the floor on the outside after being double teamed by his two opponents.
Jarrett reacts before Benoit turns around and catches him with a chop block to the back of the knee. Jarrett then lifts Benoit's head up as he begins to drill him in the side of the head with right hands as Benoit tries to get back to a vertical base. Jarrett then helps Benoit to his feet and whips him into the ropes, Jarrett catches his opponent flush on the jaw with a running back elbow. Jarrett hooks the leg,

No Benoit kicks out.
Jarrett gets back up to his feet and shouts abuse at the referee for a so called slow count. Jarrett waits for Benoit to get back to his feet and levels him with a running clothesline, Jarrett then drags Benoit to the corner and drapes him neck first across the middle rope. Jarrett chokes Benoit for several moments and then hits the ropes on the other side, Jarrett runs and jumps onto the back of Benoit which chokes him across the ropes.
Jarrett struts away from Benoit and he calls out to the fans but just get boos. As Jarrett turns around with a big grin across his face he gets met with some big right hands from Sid Vicious who has re-entered the fray. Sid pushes Jarrett back against the ropes and whips across to the other side, Sid goes for a big clothesline but Jarrett ducks and hits the other side, this time Sid bows his head to back drop Jarrett but Jeff manages to see this and quickly hits a DDT onto Sid. Jarrett gets back to his feet and quickly takes the left leg of Sid that was worked on earlier and drops an elbow onto the knee. Jarrett does this several times as he begins to work over Sid's knee.
After several moments Jarrett locks on the figure four leg lock and looks for the submission victory. Sid screams in pain as Jarrett cranks on the hold, Referee Mickey Jay asks Sid several times if he is ready to submit but each time he screams no. The hold is on for several moments before Sid manages to roll onto his belly and he reverses the pressure on Jarrett who now screams out in agony. Sid may win this by submission but Chris Benoit sees that his title is in jeopardy moves over and puts Sid in the Crippler Crossface. The fans pop for the double submission as the referee is unsure who to check on. Jeff Jarrett is on the receiving ends of the figure four leg lock reversal and Sid's neck is being cranked back in the Crippler Crossface.
Several gruelling seconds pass before Jarrett manages to release the figure four on Sid and releases the pressure. He quickly hobbles to his feet and kicks Benoit in the back of the head. Jarrett then gets Benoit to his feet and punches him several times. Jarrett goes for the stroke but Benoit manages to wriggle free and grabs Jarrett around the waist and throws him over head with a release German suplex. Benoit gets up and drags his thumb across his throat as he signals that he is going to go up top and fly.
Chris Benoit makes his way over to the ropes but gets met by Sid before he can make the climb. Sid levels Benoit with a right hand and then quickly chokeslams the WCW Champion. Sid seems to have this match won as he makes the cover.

No Jarrett breaks up the pin.
Jarrett stomps away at Sid as he tries to climb back to his feet. Sid gets up and the two men begin going toe to toe once again. Sid kicks Jarrett in the gut and goes for the Powerbomb but Jarrett manages to sneak out of the back door and hits a reverse neck breaker on Sid. Jarrett gets back to his feet and Benoit climbs up to meet him, the two men begin slugging it out. Jarrett gets the upper hand and whips Benoit into the ropes and levels him with a clothesline. Jarrett quickly lifts Benoit up and goes for the Stroke, Benoit counters it and goes for a German Suplex, he lifts Jarrett in the air who lands on his feet, Jarrett quickly grabs Benoit around the neck and plants him with the Stroke. Jarrett has the title in his grasps but out of nowhere Sid comes back into the match and grabs Jarrett by the head. Sid hits him with several right hands before throwing him up and over the top rope to the floor.
Sid then turns to Benoit and looks like he is ready to finish this match. Sid lifts the lifeless body up and goes for the powerbomb. Sid picks him into the air but Benoit shows some life and wriggles free, Benoit comes down holding onto the arm of Sid. As the two men land Benoit has managed to snatch the arm of Sid and locks him into the Crippler Crossface. The fans pop for the counter from the WCW Champion. Chris Benoit cranks back on the hold and screams out to the crowd. Sid's hand raises signalling that he is about to tap, Jeff Jarrett on the outside begins to climb back into the ring, but just before Jarrett can get to the two men and break the hold, Sid's hand comes down and slaps the mat. Chris Benoit makes Sid Vicious submit to the Crippler Crossface.

Chris Benoit has managed to retain his WCW World Title here tonight at Superbrawl. Jeff Jarrett cannot believe it as he leaves the ring and slowly makes his way up the ramp way. Jarrett is beside himself as Benoit gets handed the WCW Title by Mickey Jay. Chris Benoit looks down at his title belt for several seconds before raising it high in the air in celebration. Chris Benoit retains here tonight as Superbrawl fades to black.
