[FONT="Arial"]WWE Raw Preview

March 29, 2010; US Airways Center, Phoenix, Arizona

One night after an epic WrestleMania XXVI, WWE Monday Night RAW will come to you live from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. One night after the legendary 15-year career of the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels came to a dramatic end, RAW will feature the farewell of one of the WWE's all time greats. WrestleMania XXVI also saw a new WWE Champion crowned; as John Cena overcame the odds and managed to make Batista tap out. Also, Jack Swagger is the new Mr. Money in the Bank! He won the biggest match of his career last night, after knocking Christian off the ladder with the briefcase, which he then unhooked. Tonight, we will see the All-American American take on the man who came closest last night, Christian. At WrestleMania, Bret Hart got the revenge that he had been waiting for for 13 long years, as he double-crossed the WWE Chairman to enlist the services of the Hart Dynasty and the legendary Hart Family, in a match that saw Vince McMahon tap out to the Sharpshooter. We also saw Randy Orton take advantage of the dissension between his two former Legacy cohorts, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, to win their Triple Threat match, Triple H emerge triumphant against Sheamus, and ShoMiz retain their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against John Morrison & R-Truth. WrestleMania was truly an epic event, and we will surely all feel the backlash from it on RAW.

Re: WWE 2010
Looking forward to this. Post-Shawn Michaels was one of the most depressing times of my wrestling fandom. :(

Hopefully, this doesn't make me feel as depressed, ha!

Re: WWE 2010
Monday Night RAW

We open with a highlights package from last night's historic WrestleMania 26, starting with the tag match, specifically the high-flying abilities of John Morrison and the absolute power of the Big Show. We then cut to the triple threat match between the three former members of Legacy, as Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase start off working together but then argue over who is going to win the match, allowing Randy Orton to capitalize with a match-winning RKO on DiBiase. We see the Money in the Bank match with Raw's own Jack Swagger picking up the win over nine other competitors. Next is the match between Triple H and Sheamus, where the aggression of Sheamus is highlighted, as well as his cockiness which Triple H picks up on with a Pedigree out of nowhere. We skip the SmackDown matches to see Bret Hart make his in-ring return to dominate Vince McMahon, before putting him out of his misery with a Sharpshooter. We once again skip the World title match, so next we see John Cena and Batista battling it out for the most prestigious prize in sports entertainment, the WWE Championship. We see each man hitting their signature moves, but neither are able to put the other away, until Cena reverses the Batista Bomb into the STF. We then see the final match of the night, where Shawn Michaels and Undertaker fought for their livelihoods and as with the last match, both hit their signature moves, but couldn't put the other away, but finally, the Deadman put the Showstopper's career to rest with one final Tombstone.

Michael Cole Hello everybody, and welcome to the first Raw of the wrestling year! Last night, we witnessed a historic WrestleMania 26, where ShowMiz retained their Unified Tag Team Championships, Randy Orton defeated his two former Legacy cohorts, Jack Swagger won the Money in the Bank briefcase, Triple H made it past Sheamus, Bret Hart finally got his revenge on Vince McMahon, John Cena once again became WWE Champion, and Shawn Michaels' storied career - was ended.

Jerry Lawler: Tonight, Shawn Michaels will give his farewell after being defeated by The Undertaker last night.

Michael Cole: It should be a emotional experience, and also tonight, Christian will face the man who beat him in the Money in the Bank Ladder match last night, Jack Swagger.

Jerry Lawler: Christian came the closest to unseating Swagger last night, but was knocked off the ladder with the briefcase by the now Mr. Money in the Bank..

Michael Cole: Here comes a man who was brutalized last night by the Hitman Bret Hart, Vince McMahon.

Jerry Lawler: I say this in fear for my job, but I reckon he deserved what he got last night. 13 years of pent up frustration in Bret Hart after the Montreal Screwjob, and last night Bret got the revenge he'd been searching for years. For years Vince had been saying 'Bret screwed Bret', but last night, 'Vince screwed Vince'!

A .'You tapped out' chant breaks out to the annoyance of McMahon.

Vince McMahon: SHADDUP!

The crowd gets quieter, but there are still some chants.

Vince McMahon: Last night, I got screwed.

Another chant breaks out; this time 'Vince screwed Vince'

Vince McMahon: SHADDUP! Vince did not screw Vince! The entire Hart family screwed Vince! Last night I didn't just face Bret Hart, I faced Bruce, Diana, The Hart Dynasty, the whole lot of 'em! So David, Tyson, Natalya; get out here now!

Michael Cole: These three were all ringside for last night's match -

Jerry Lawler: - and they got their own shots in as well, Cole!

Michael Cole: That's right, King, Natalya slapped McMahon across the face, and David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd hit him with the Hart Attack on the concrete floor!

The Dynasty are in the ring by now, and McMahon has a look of pure hatred on his face.

Vince McMahon: Last night, you played just as big a part in my defeat as Bret did.

The Dynasty are smirking and nodding at McMahon

Vince McMahon: Don't look so smug, because your actions last night will definitely have consequences.

David Hart Smith: Vince, whatever you do to us, taking you down last night will make up for it.

Vince McMahon: Oh yeah? Well, you're gonna have t' savor that memory, 'cos it'll be the last one you'll ever have in the WWE, and I'm gonna enjoy this: David, Tyson, Natalya, YOU'RE FIRED! Oh, and by the way, David, it's 'Mr. McMahon' to you.

McMahon smirks and goes to leave the ring, but is cut off by -

Bret Hart comes out onto the stage to a monster pop

Bret Hart: I think you're a little bitter, Vince. You're a smart man. Surely you know better than to take out your frustrations on your employees for when you 'tapped out' last night when you really should be blaming it on yourself, 'cos last night, VINCE SCREWED VINCE!

Big pop for that

Vince McMahon: Ya know what, Bret?

Bret sarcastically mouths 'what?'

Vince McMahon: I think I'm in a firing mood, ya know what I mean, Bret? I've already fired three people tonight, and I'm sorta feelin' like firin' a fourth. And who better than the 'Hitman'?

Major heat from the crowd

Vince McMahon: So Bret, it gives me great pleasure in saying this: YOU'RE FIRED!

More heat, but for some reason, Bret is still smiling

Bret Hart: Ya done, Vince?

Vince looks puzzled at why Bret isn't upset, but Bret's still smiling

Bret Hart: Ya see, Vince, last night after our match; where, may I remind you, you tapped out -

Big pop for this

Bret Hart: - I met with the WWE Board of Directors, who felt that you'd been abusing your power lately; which by the way, I wholeheartedly agreed with -

Another big pop

Bret Hart: - and they saw fit to remove you from your position of power.

Huge pop, and Vince is looking furious, yelling 'what?'

Bret Hart: So it gives me great pleasure in saying this: YOU'RE FIRED!

Big pop as the tables are turned from a few moments ago; Vince is kicking the ropes in fury before he storms backstage for the last time

Bret Hart: So I suppose you're all wondering who is taking over as the owner of the WWE?

A resounding 'yes' from the crowd

Bret Hart: That'd be ME!

Bret Hart: And as my first order of business, The Hart Dynasty are rehired! And not only that, they'll be in a match tonight to determine the #1 Contenders to the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships.

Tyson Kidd: Who're we gonna beat, Bret?

Bret Hart: Well, Tyson, it won't be as easy as you think, but you'll be facing SmackDown's own, Cryme Time!

A respectable pop for the two fan-favourite teams, as the Dynasty shake hands with their new boss and leave to backstage

Bret Hart: Now onto other business. I know Vince, bless his black heart, had announced a new show for Tuesday nights called NXT.

Mixed reaction to this.

Bret Hart: I've decided to leave Tuesday nights open for the foreseeable future, but don't worry, we are still going to have the influx of new talent proposed for the show compete in a competition to win a future title shot. Two of the eight rookies will be released from the WWE, but six will get contracts. The man who comes first in the rankings, will get a WWE or World Heavyweight Championship shot, second will get a United States or Intercontinental Championship shot, and third will get a Unified WWE Tag Team Championship shot with a partner of his choosing.Tonight we'll have a 'sneak peek' .if you will of this, as the eight rookies will compete in an eight-man tag team match later tonight. The teams will be: Wade Barrett, Darren Young, David Otunga and Ryan Sheffield taking on Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver and Heath Slater.

A pop for another match announcement

Bret Hart: And finally, onto the General Manager situation. I think Teddy Long is doing just fine as GM of SmackDown, so he will stay where he is for now, but I think it is time for the Raw Guest Hosts to go. I don't know who will manage Raw yet, but hopefully the General Manager will be announced by Extreme Rules. Until then, I will run Raw. Thank you for listening, and please enjoy the show!

Justin Roberts: This contest is set for one fall. Introducing first, weighing in at 215 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Michael Cole: Welcome back to Raw, and here is a man who impressed many in the Money in the Bank Ladder match last night.

Jerry Lawler: I was one of them, Cole, that Shooting Star Press off the ladder was absolutely breathtaking!

Michael Cole: This young man certainly has a bright future ahead of him, but one man who doesn't need to wait very long for greatness is the man who won the ladder match last night, Jack Swagger.

Jerry Lawler: Absolutely, Michael, Swagger has an almost guaranteed world title reign in the future; he could even cash in that briefcase later tonight!

Justin Roberts: And his opponent, from Ghana, West Africa, weighing in at 221 pounds, Kofi Kingston

Michael Cole: Here is another man who was involved in that ladder match last night, and King, Kofi Kingston certainly came close in more than one place in the match.

Jerry Lawler: That's right, every year we see unbelievable innovation in Money in the Bank, and this year, it came from this man right here.

Michael Cole: After Kane had broken a ladder in half, Kofi grabbed the two halves and used them as stilts to try to grab the briefcase.

Jerry Lawler: Unfortunately his dream was crushed by one Drew McIntyre, but it still made for a nice moment.

Match 1 - Evan Bourne vs Kofi Kingston

The match is pretty even, with the advantage going slightly toward Kingston, but the tides turn a little when Kofi goes for his signature jumping clothesline, but Bourne hits him with an awesome dropkick in midair. Bourne motions for Kofi to get up, but is attacked from behind by Shelton Benjamin! The referee calls for the bell and then flees the ring.

Winner - Evan Bourne by Disqualification (9:37)

Aftermath: Shelton waits for Bourne to get up, and drops him with Paydirt! Shelton turns his attention to Kingston, before-.

MVP sprints down to the ring, probably to help his friends out, and he and Shelton look like they are gonna fight it out, before Shelton smirks, and MVP turns to nail Kingston, who is kneeling to check on Bourne, with the Drive-By!.MVP raises Shelton's hand in victory, as Kofi and Evan lie in agony on the arena floor.

Jerry Lawler: What did I just see?

Michael Cole: King, it looks like - it looks like MVP and Shelton Benjamin have turned against the fans!

Jerry Lawler: I'm sure we'll hear more of this from these two in coming weeks, but I can't wait until Bourne and Kingston get their revenge on these two turncoats.

We take one last look at the victorious team, as we cut backstage, where Josh Matthews is standing by with a fairly big man with black hair and tattoos on his arms.

Josh Matthews: Hello everybody, I'm Josh Matthews, and I am standing by with one of WWE's new rookies who will compete in the eight man tag match later tonight, Wade Barrett.

Wade Barrett: Your services are no longer needed, Josh.

Startled, Matthews walks away from the shot.

Wade Barrett: Tonight, I will start the revolution known as the Barrett Barrage. I will be teaming with three other inferior beings tonight, but none of those three, nor the four on the other team, will stop me from winning this competition, and then the WWE Championship. None of these seven have the aggression or brawling ability that I have, and the Barrett Barrage will not be stopped!

Justin Roberts: The following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first, from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 260 pounds, he is Mr. Money in the Bank, Jack Swagger!

Swagger comes out with a microphone, his Money in the Bank and a huge grin on his face.

Jack Swagger: Last night, I proved all of you wrong, and did what I told all of you that I was going to do: I beat Christian, just like I am going to beat him tonight, to become Mr. Money in the Bank. For all of you simpletons here in Phoenix, that means that I have a guaranteed WWE or World title shot whenever I want until WrestleMania 27 next year. Nobody has ever unsuccessfully cashed in this briefcase, and that includes flukes like Edge, who couldn't even win his match last night, Rob Van Dam, who we all know is getting high in another way, and even CM Punk, who last night lost to Rey Mysterio of all people! Rey Mysterio: the -

Justin Roberts: And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 212 pounds, Christian

Jerry Lawler: Thank goodness for Christian, interrupting Swagger's monologue to get to the match; if he hadn't of interrupted, Swagger would've gone on all night!

Michael Cole: And look at Swagger, King, he doesn't look too thrilled with the interruption!

Jerry Lawler: Well, if he's as good as he says he is, this match won't take long at all!

Match 2 - Jack Swagger vs Christian

As soon as the bell rings, Swagger lunges forward and nails Christian with the Money in the Bank briefcase!

Winner by Disqualification - Christian (0:02)

Aftermath: Swagger continues to lay the boots to Christian, all the while yelling things like 'Do you know who I am?' 'You don't interrupt me!' and 'You're not worth my time!' Swagger gets an evil look in his eye - AND LOCKS IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Swagger is cranking it in, trying to shatter Christian's ankle!

Bret Hart: ENOUGH! Swagger, get your hands off him, or I swear, I'm gonna strip you of your Money in the Bank contract!

Swagger lets go of Christian immediately, looking shocked that the Hitman would consider doing such a thing.

Bret Hart: Ya know what, Swagger? I've had enough of you already, and this is my first night on the job! So next week, we're gonna have another match between you and Christian, but if you get counted out or disqualified, you're fired, and Christian will be Mr. Money in the Bank! And if Christian wins the match next week... You two'll be facing off at Extreme Rules for your Money in the Bank contract!

Jerry Lawler: What an announcement! We're gonna have a rematch next week and if the match goes down the same way as it did tonight, Swagger'll be fired and we won't have to listen to his gloating anymore!

Michael Cole: Not to mention that Christian will be Mr. Money in the Bank!

Jerry Lawler: I can't wait!

Jerry Lawler: Here he is, Michael, the man who last night regained the WWE Championship from the man who stole it from him at the Elimination Chamber, Batista.

Michael Cole: It was a tremendous match last night, King, but Cena eventually got Batista to tap to the STF.

Jerry Lawler: Cena looks ecstatic, and so he should! He put everything into the match last night, and made it out with the biggest prize in sports entertainment, the WWE Championship.

Cena waits for the cheers (and 'Cena sucks' chants) to die down, before starting to talk.

John Cena: Last night -

Jerry Lawler: Michael, we knew that this man would have something to say about last night.

Michael Cole: That's right, King, since Batista's change in attitude last October, he hasn't been one to let these kind of things go. And remember that Batista still has a rematch clause that he can use anytime in this coming month.

Jerry Lawler: And you can be sure that he knows that and knows how to use that clause in his contract.

Batista: Yeah, yeah, Cena, we hear it all the time: 'Last night I overcame the odds and once again the champ is here, I will take on all comers' we've heard it all before, the fact is, John, that you got lucky last night. I'm sure you know by now that lightning never strikes twice in the same place, and when you face me, not if, when you face me, you will not get lucky again.

John Cena: Batista, whether I got lucky or not, here I am, as the WWE Champion, and as you said, once again, THE CHAMP IS HERE!.

Batista: Cena, how many times have you beaten me?

John Cena: Just the one. (while raising his WWE Championship)

Batista: Do you know how many times I've beaten you?

Cena just shakes his head.

Batista: Twice. Do you want to know what my favourite was? SummerSlam 2008. Do you remember that, John? Do you?

Cena rubs his neck in response.

Batista: That's right, John. That was the match where I broke - your - neck! And y'know what, John? I'll have no problem doing it again at Extreme Rules, because I'm cashing in my rematch clause!

Batista charges at Cena and tears him in half with a monster spear! He then signals for something to come down, which is quickly revealed to be a steel cage!

Batista: And y'know what, John? I think we'll have it inside a STEEL CAGE!

Batista grabs the title belt, and nails Cena in the skull with it! He grabs Cena, gets him up on his shoulders in an Oklahoma clutch, and hammers his head into the steel mesh! He then picks him up onto his shoulders, rams him into the cage, and drops him with the Batista Bomb! Batista then calls for the door to be opened, but as there is no-one to open it for him, he grabs Cena once more, lifts him up, runs into the ropes .AND SPEARS HIM THROUGH THE CAGE DOOR! Batista then pulls him away from the door, picks the WWE Championship back up, and walks out of where the door once was with the championship over his shoulder.

Michael Cole: What a statement made by the Animal at Cena's expense tonight!

Jerry Lawler: So now we have our first match for Extreme Rules: WWE Champion John Cena vs. Batista inside a Steel Cage!

Michael Cole: It's sure to be a brutal match, but will John Cena even be able to compete after what we just saw?

Jerry Lawler: You know John Cena, Cole, he never backs down from a fight, and after what we just saw, you can bet that he'll be itching to get his hands on Batista.

Michael Cole: After the break we're gonna see new #1 Contenders crowned so be sure to stick around for that.

Justin Roberts: The following tag team contest is set for one fall, and the winners will face ShowMiz for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules. Introducing first, from Brooklyn, New York, at a collective weight of 517 pounds, Shad Gaspard and JTG, Cryme Time!

Jerry Lawler: Here we are for our third match of the evening, and these two teams will be fighting to get a chance at their first taste of tag team gold.

Michael Cole: Cryme Time has been around for a while, but they have never tasted major success.

Jerry Lawler: These two are very talented individuals, but they generally seem more interested in the 'money, money, yea, yea' than the ultimate tag team success, but tonight they'll be looking to change that.

Michael Cole: But will these two be able to coexist, with Shad eliminating JTG from the Battle Royal last night?

Justin Roberts: And their opponents, accompanied by Natalya, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at a combined weight of 445 pounds, David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd, The Hart Dynasty!

Jerry Lawler: Now these three have had a big night. They've been fired, rehired, and given a shot at tag team gold, all in the one night!

Michael Cole: And they'll be looking to capitalize on this golden opportunity that has been given to them by the new owner of the WWE, Bret Hart.

Jerry Lawler: And can you believe that, Michael? Vince McMahon, a man who has ruled over the WWE with an iron fist for 13 long years; gone?

Michael Cole: It will take a while to get used to, but who do you think will take the vacant role as General Manager of Raw?

Jerry Lawler: Well, I dunno, Michael, it could be anybody from Mick Foley to Eric Bischoff to, heaven forbid, Mike Adamle.

Michael Cole (laughing): Let's not go down that road again, King.

Jerry Lawler: And here are the tag champs themselves, Big Show and The Miz, who last night retained their titles against John Morrison and R-Truth.

Michael Cole: It was a pretty even match, but the power of the Big Show tipped the scales in their favor.

Jerry Lawler: Not to mention his big right hand, Michael!

(ShowMiz sit down at the announce table for commentary)

Match 3: Cryme Time vs The Hart Dynasty

The Hart Dynasty mostly take control of this match, but halfway through the match, but midway through, The Miz distracts Tyson Kidd for long enough for Cryme Time to capitalize with the G9, but Kidd gets his foot on the ropes, and eventually gets the hot tag to Hart Smith, but JTG runs at him for a flying forearm, Hart Smith ducks, and JTG hits Shad instead! JTG turns back into a clothesline from Hart Smith, who tags in Kidd, who makes JTG tap out pretty much straight away to the Sharpshooter to win the Dynasty the #1 Contendership, and Shad doesn't even bother saving the fall!

Winners by submission - The Hart Dynasty (7.12)

JTG is recovering, but Shad comes to speed up the process, whips him into the ropes, WHAT A BOOT TO HIS FORMER PARTNER! Cryme Time has fallen apart! Hart Smith has been watching this incredulously, but The Miz has slipped into the ring, SKULL CRUSHING FINALE TO SMITH! Kidd rushes to save Smith with a springboard clothesline, but Miz ducks, AND KIDD FLIES INTO A WMD FROM THE BIG SHOW!

Jerry Lawler: Well, there's our second match for Extreme Rules: ShowMiz vs The Hart Dynasty, but there's been absolute chaos after this match!

Michael Cole: Well, I guess, King, that one new team in MVP and Shelton Benjamin has formed tonight, but another team in Cryme Time has fallen apart right before our eyes!

Jerry Lawler: But the two top teams in the WWE are set to clash at Extreme Rules, and tonight ShowMiz have got the upper hand.

(we fade backstage, where Josh Matthews is standing by with Shelton Benjamin and MVP)

Josh Matthews: Once again, I am Josh Matthews and I am standing by .with two men who earlier tonight brutally attacked Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston in the middle of their match, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. Gent -

MVP: A'ight, a'ight, lemme guess... 'Gentlemen, why did you turn on the WWE Universe?' Shelton?

Shelton Benjamin: 'P and I never turned on the 'WWE Universe', the 'WWE Universe' turned on us!

MVP: We were not getting the respect we deserve from these morons..

Shelton Benjamin: We are both former United States Champions, and we will be the next tag team champions.

MVP: What happened tonight with Evan and Kofi was nothing personal, we were just making a statement to the 'WWE Universe' to say that -

Shelton Benjamin: -that we weren't gonna put up with their crap any longer!

MVP: Bret Hart has only been in office for one night, and he has already made the biggest mistake of his life.

Shelton Benjamin: After showing our dominance earlier, Bret Hart should have added us to the number one contenders match.

MVP: Instead he added his personal favorites and two criminals who couldn't even hold it together until the end of the match.

Shelton Benjamin: Bret is no better than Vince was; Vince was kicked out for abusing his power; Bret is doing the same thing by practically gifting his favorites a title shot.

MVP: Our title shot.

Shelton Benjamin: So Bret -

The two are jumped by Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne, who are exacting a measure of revenge on the two men who attacked them earlier. The beating goes on for another minute before -

Bret Hart: ENOUGH! Shelton, Montel, you think you deserve a title shot? I think Kofi and Evan are just as deserving as you! How about this: next week, Shelton and Montel can face the Hart Dynasty, and Kofi and Evan can face ShowMiz. If either or both of you win your matches, you'll be added to the tag title match at Extreme Rules!

Jerry Lawler: Wow, two more huge matches for next week!

Michael Cole: What an announcement!

We come back from the break in Bret Hart's office where The Miz storms in.

The Miz: Who do you think -

Bret Hart: Ah, Miz, just the man I wanted to see. As you know, you and Big Show'll be defending your tag team titles at Extreme Rules -

The Miz: - and that's complete -

Bret Hart: - but you also have a defense clause in your contract for the United States Championship.

The Miz: What!?!

Bret Hart: You heard me. The Raw before Extreme Rules, you'll be defending your United States Championship against the winner of a number one contenders match which is next. It'll be between John Morrison and R-Truth.

The Miz: Those two? I beat them last night!

Bret Hart: No, if I saw it right, John Morrison had you beaten before Big Show stepped in, and by the way, if you interfere in this match like you did in the last one, you'll be stripped of the title!

Miz is fuming, but he has no choice but to accept it, as he slams the door, and Bret Hart sighs loudly and shakes his head. We fade to the ring where -

Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship. Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing in at 220 pounds, R-Truth!

Michael Cole: Here we go in one of the biggest opportunities of R-Truth's short career, an opportunity for a one-on-one match for the United States Championship.

Jerry Lawler: Yeah, but to do that, he has to get through his long-time friend and tag team partner, John Morrison.

Michael Cole: And that's easier said than done, King, John Morrison is no slouch.

Jerry Lawler: That's right, but you can bet that R-Truth knows that as well as anybody.

Justin Roberts: And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 215 pounds, John Morrison!

Michael Cole: And here he is, King, the Monday Night Delight himself, John Morrison!

Jerry Lawler: Well, the winner of this match'll face The Miz for the title, and you know the history between Miz and Morrison, don't ya, Cole?

Michael Cole: Yes, the bad blood between the two has been well documented, starting off as a team on ECW.

Jerry Lawler: They were a hugely successful team; becoming the first ever Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, but at the 2009 WWE Draft, The Miz turned on Morrison and they captained opposite teams at Survivor Series 2009.

Match 4: R-Truth vs John Morrison

The match is nice and even, although The Miz comes down to watch the match halfway through, and has to stop himself from interfering at several points during the match, but when Morrison ducks the Lie Detector and it hits the referee instead, and Morrison hits the C4 on Truth, he turns back into a spear from the Big Show! The World's Largest Athlete picks Morrison up, and drops him back down with a chokeslam! He grabs Truth, lays him over the top of Morrison, and wakes the referee up! 1...2...3!

Winner by pinfall: R-Truth

Aftermath: The Miz and Big Show .continue to attack Morrison, but Truth comes to his aid and hits the Lie Detector on Miz, knocking him out of the ring! The Big Show grabs him and tries to lift him up for a chokeslam, but Truth slips out, and dropkicks Show out of the ring onto the Miz! He helps Morrison to his feet, but Morrison pushes him off and walks to the back, furious at how the match went down.

Bret Hart: Y'know Miz, I had a feeling you were gonna pull something like this tonight, so here's what I'm going to do. As you know, you are gonna face Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne next week. The match is still gonna go ahead, but now you won't be teaming with Big Show! In fact, Big Show's gonna be banned from the arena! So, Miz? Good luck next week!

Jerry Lawler: Well, we now know that The Miz'll be facing R-Truth in two weeks for the United States Championship, but with Miz's partner playing a big part in the outcome of this match, a point could be made that Miz is running scared of John Morrison, Cole?

Michael Cole: Well, I'm sure The Miz will dismiss that statement quickly, but one thing he cannot dismiss so easily is R-Truth as an opponent.

Jerry Lawler: Miz will certainly have his hands full in two weeks, but John Morrison isn't going let this slide.

Michael Cole: And what about this, King? The Miz will be facing Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne in a handicap match next week, and if they win, they get a tag title shot!

Jerry Lawler: I say good decision by the General Manager. Miz and Show had to be punished, and I think this is a great way to go about it.

We come back from commercial to see John Morrison walking down the corridor looking bitter. He walks past Melina, who is shaking her head.

Melina: What's happened to you, John? This isn't the John Morrison I used to know. The old John Morrison was ruthless, wouldn't wait until a giant interfered to finish off his opponent. We used to be proud partners, John. Now… now I'd be embarrassed just to be seen with you.

Morrison stares at her for a moment, shakes his head, and continues walking, as we fade to the ring.

Jerry Lawler: Harsh words we just heard from Melina to Morrison, but maybe its true? Maybe he has lost his edge?

Michael Cole: Maybe so, King, but now we should probably focus on what's at hand. This man, Ted DiBiase was dropped with an RKO to pick up the defeat last night in a Triple Threat match also featuring Cody Rhodes.

Jerry Lawler: And I'm sure Ted won't be too happy about that!

Ted DiBiase: Last night, I had Randy Orton beat, but Cody Rhodes, selfish as ever, refused to stay true to his word, cost me the victory, and gifted it to Randy Orton. That's right, folks, Rhodes gave the win to the man who has used the two of us for the last year. And then...

(DiBiase starts to smirk a little)

Ted DiBiase: - Cody Rhodes got punted in the head. Now, because of that, Cody Rhodes will not be here tonight. That means that I can have a match with Randy Orton, uninterrupted by that parasite, so that I can get the win that I deserve. So, Orton, get out here now!

Randy Orton: Cut the music. DiBiase, I agree 100% that Cody Rhodes is a parasite, but don't you think that there was another parasite in Legacy? No, that wouldn't be me, Ted. For the last year, you have been riding my coattails, desperately hoping to get some fame; off of my back.

Ted DiBiase: No, Randy, that's where you're wrong. Y'see, there was another parasite in Legacy, but that was you, Randy. Cody and I have been doing your dirty work, trying to help you keep your championship by hook or by crook; actually, since we're talking about you here, mostly by crook. So, enough with your false accusations, are we going to have that match, or are you too much of a coward?

Randy Orton: Ted, maybe I knocked you around a little too much last night, but did you seriously just call me a coward? I am many things, Ted, one of them is a man who is seriously considering crippling you, but one thing I most definitely am not, is a coward. So this match that you want… YOU GOT IT!

(Orton throws his custom t-shirt to the ground and slides under the ring rope, ready for battle, before -)

Bret Hart: Alright, you two stop right there! It's obvious that you two want a piece of each other, and seeing that Cody Rhodes will be out for the next month or so because of that punt last night, I'm going to give it to you… just not tonight. Extreme Rules is coming up quickly, and since you two want a fight so bad, you're gonna take each other on in a Street Fight! And y'know what? Just to put an extra spin on it, the winner'll face either John Cena or Batista for the WWE Championship at Over the Limit!

Jerry Lawler: Wow! Another huge announcement for Extreme Rules in three weeks!

Michael Cole: And Ted DiBiase'll be looking for revenge after he was pinned by Orton last night at WrestleMania.

Jerry Lawler: Well, if you believe DiBiase, it was Cody Rhodes who lost the match, not him.

Michael Cole: Considering Rhodes is in hospital for the next month, I think DiBiase probably got the best of the two anyway. Don't go anywhere, folks, ‘cos next eight new rookies will make their debuts as the opener to the new NXT competition..

Jerry Lawler: It's gonna be great!

*Ding* *Ding* *Ding*

Justin Roberts: The following contest is an elimination match. Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weighing in at 246 pounds, Wade Barrett!

(Wade Barrett makes his way down to the ring with a microphone in hand, wearing a custom 'Barrett Barrage' t-shirt)

Wade Barrett: All of you so-called 'superstars' backstage should pay attention to this next match, and you'll learn why nobody gets past the Barrett Barrage!

Michael Cole: Well, we've heard from Wade Barrett earlier in the night, and from what we've heard, Barrett is an accomplished bare-knuckle brawler, which could give him an advantage over the other seven men.

Justin Roberts: And his partner, from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 291 pounds, Ryan Sheffield!

(A very muscular man walks down to the ring wearing a black and white tracksuit Jack Swagger-style. He looks very intense, and not keen on teaming with Barrett tonight. He gets in the ring, and Barrett signals that he's gonna win, but Sheffield just stares at him intimidatingly. Barrett eventually gives up, as-)

Justin Roberts: And their partner, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 239 pounds, Darren Sanford!

(A smaller man possibly of Caucasian descent and bowl cut black hair makes his way down to the ring confidently, but Barrett is laughing at him, thinking he has no chance of even getting a contract with the WWE, but once Sanford gets into the ring, he trash talks back at him.)

Justin Roberts: And their partner, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 229 pounds, David Otunga!

(Another quite big man, with a red and black cloak around his shoulders, comes down with a smirk on his face. He has dark skin, short black hair, and a black goatee. He looks quite confident that he can win the competition. As he gets in the ring he pats Barrett on the back and then takes a look at Sheffield and steps back, leaving Barrett annoyed that Sheffield is shaping up as the favorite.)

Justin Roberts: And their opponent, from Aberdeen, Washington, weighing in at 210 pounds, Daniel Bryan!

(Huge pop from the smarks, and the people who want to look cool, as the man formerly known as Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring shouting 'YES!' and pumping his fist. He is wearing maroon and white trunks. Barrett and Otunga share a laugh at the unimpressive physique of Bryan, but Bryan points at the two, and taps on his chest, signifying that he was going to make them tap out, before stopping at the foot of the ramp.)

Justin Roberts: And his partner, from Cape Town, South Africa, weighing in at 213 pounds, Paul Lloyd!

(Another dark-skinned small man with styled black hair and wearing teal and black trunks makes his way down to meet with Bryan at the foot of the ramp as they start to talk tactics.)

Justin Roberts: And their partner, from Pineville, West Virginia, weighing in at 216 pounds, Heath Miller!

(Another man with a similar build as his teammates comes down. He has long orange hair and pale skin, but not as pale as, say, Sheamus. He is wearing black trunks with painted red spikes on it. When he gets to the foot of the ramp, Bryan gestures for him to join the huddle, but Miller refuses and chooses to stick by himself.)

Justin Roberts: And their partner, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 256.pounds, Michael Tarver!

(A dark-skinned big man wearing a black bandana with a big white 'T' on the front over his face makes his way down. He wears black trunks with a large white 'T' on the back. He, like Miller, wants to go alone rather than talk tactics.)

Match 5 - Wade Barrett, Ryan Sheffield, Darren Young and David Otunga vs Daniel Bryan, Paul Lloyd, Heath Miller and Michael Tarver - Elimination match

Wade Barrett wants to start off for his team, and David Otunga is backing him, but Ryan Sheffield steps forward, and Otunga; intimidated by the big man, changes his vote to Barrett's annoyance. Darren Sanford doesn't have a chance to vote, as he seems to be the outsider on this team. On the other side of the ring, Michael Tarver wants to start off, but Paul Lloyd is backing Daniel Bryan, and Heath Miller.doesn't look at all interested, so Ryan Sheffield and Daniel Bryan will start it off for their respective teams. The big man just stares at Bryan to begin with, so The American Dragon starts off with a few big kicks to the leg of Sheffield, but they hardly have any effect! He runs off the ropes and tries for a dropkick, but Sheffield just swats him away as easily if he was a fly, before dropping him with a huge lariat! Sheffield lifts him up onto his shoulder in an Oklahoma clutch, before dropping him on his back with a huge powerslam! He then whips the smaller man into the corner, before charging for a corner clothesline… NO! Bryan makes it out in time, and tries to lock in a cobra clutch, but Sheffield's arm is too big to get a hold of! Sheffield throws him off with ease, before dropping him with another huge clothesline! Sheffield puts Bryan's head between his legs, and pulls him up for a powerbomb, BUT BRYAN COUNTERS WITH A HURRICANRANA! This creates the space he needed to get a tag, and he makes it, to Miller, who understandably wants no part of Sheffield, so he makes his way up the ramp instead. Barrett looks annoyed that another man is intimidated by Sheffield, but he tells the ref to count him out anyway.

By now, Bryan has recovered, and tries to get Miller back down the ramp, but Miller is having none of it, and nails Bryan with a right hand!

Heath Miller eliminated by countout (3:12)

Bret Hart: Miller, you just dug your own grave, because as the first eliminated, you've just earned yourself the number eight ranking, meaning that you have the biggest chance of being fired before your career has even begun. So well done!

Hart makes his way backstage while Miller has a fit on the stage, furious at the interim GM, while we get back to the in-ring action, where Sheffield is in against Paul Lloyd. Lloyd is watching Miller, but Sheffield grabs him around the waist, AND THROWS HIM ACROSS THE RING WITH A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX! Sheffield goes to grab Lloyd again, but he gets caught with a blind tag from Wade Barrett! The two argue for a moment, before Barrett turns back to Lloyd, who nails him with a superkick! The distraction provided enough time for Lloyd to recover, and is now on the offensive. Lloyd waits for Barrett to get to his knees, before he springboards off the ropes to hit a picture-perfect moonsault! He makes the cover…

NO! Barrett still has some fight left in him! Lloyd doesn't look too surprised, and gets right back on the offensive, with a dropkick to the face of a kneeling Barrett, sending him back to the ground. Lloyd goes up to the top rope, BUT IS PUSHED OFF BY DAVID OTUNGA! This allows Barrett to capitalize, mounting Lloyd and nailing some big rights and lefts to the head. He then waits for the South African to sit up… before sending him back down with a boot to the face! Barrett wastes no time in making the cover…

NO! Lloyd powers out, and Barrett thought he had it there. Barrett wearily puts Lloyd's head in between his legs, and lifts him up for a powerbomb… NO! Lloyd reverses it into a sunset flip, and holds on for the pin…

Barrett kicks out, but he looks shocked that he allowed that to happen, and charges at Lloyd, who ducks and pulls the rope down, sending Barrett to the outside. Lloyd bounces off the opposite ropes AND HITS A SUICIDE DIVE TO THE RECOVERING BARRETT! The referee starts the count…

Lloyd slides back into the ring…

And so does Barrett, and they're at it again! Barrett is met with a quick kick to the head as he slides in, giving Lloyd some breathing room. As Barrett gets up, Lloyd jumps to his shoulders, perhaps looking for a hurricanrana… NO! Barrett reverses it into a huge powerbomb! Barrett crawls to his corner, and making a point of not tagging to Sheffield, he tags Otunga in instead, but Sheffield nails Barrett with a big right hand, and the brawl is on! Otunga watches on, but Paul Lloyd rolls him up…

David Otunga eliminated by Paul Lloyd; therefore is ranked seventh (7:49)

Lloyd quickly makes the tag to Bryan, and as Sheffield and Barrett are still throwing punches on the outside, Darren Sanford has a chance to step up. The two men shake hands before locking up, and Sanford, being the fresher man, gets the better of Bryan, getting him in a side headlock, which he holds onto for a while before Bryan eventually pushes him off, into the ropes, but instead of bouncing off, Sanford holds on, and meets the incoming Bryan with a boot to the face, as Sheffield throws Barrett into a barricade and gets back up onto the apron. Sanford doesn't need a tag just yet, though, as he whips Bryan towards a vacant corner, before following up with a stinger splash. Sanford covers him…

No, Daniel Bryan will not be denied here tonight! Sanford doesn't look too frustrated though, as he goes to tag in Sheffield, who is pulled off the apron by Barrett, who gets Sheffield up on his shoulders, and throws him through the announce table with the fireman's carry slam that he calls the Wasteland!!! Sanford can't believe it, and he turns around, only for Bryan to lock in the LeBell Lock! Sanford struggles for a bit, but with no partners to save him, and the ropes out of reach, he eventually has no choice but to tap out.

Darren Sanford eliminated by Daniel Bryan; therefore is ranked sixth (9:01)

Justin Roberts: Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my regret to inform you that Ryan Sheffield has been injured and is unable to compete, therefore, he is the current fifth rank in the NXT competition.

As Ryan Sheffield is carried off on a stretcher, a smirking Wade Barrett steps into the ring to face off with Daniel Bryan, who tags Paul Lloyd back in. Michael Tarver, frustrated in not being tagged into the match yet, nails Lloyd with a huge right hand, that the announcers say is called the Kill Shot! Barrett drops into the cover…

Paul Lloyd eliminated by Wade Barrett; therefore is ranked fourth (9:57)

Wade Barrett has stolen one, but he still has two more men to beat if he wants to claim the number one rank. Tarver steps into the ring, ready to show the world what he can do, as a frustrated Bryan looks on. Barrett throws the first punch, and it's another brawl! After a minute or so of pub-style brawling, Barrett ducks a Kill Shot, grabs his arm, pushes him away, and then quickly pulls him back into his elbow, a finishing maneuver that he apparently calls The Souvenir. He taunts the crowd, but he doesn't know that Ryan Sheffield is standing right behind him! Confused at what the crowd is cheering at, he turns around, only for Sheffield to hook his leg, and lift him into an inverted Samoan Drop, which he calls the Sheffield Shock! Tarver crawls into the cover, can he get it?

Wade Barrett eliminated by Michael Tarver; therefore is ranked third (12:01)

Bryan comes into the ring to celebrate, AND IS FLATTENED BY A LARIAT COURTESY OF RYAN SHEFFIELD!

Bret Hart: Ryan! Ryan, stop it now! You have already been declared eliminated, so get out of the ring or get out of my company!

Sheffield looks reluctant, but he eventually leaves the ring, having got his revenge on Barrett.

Bret Hart: Now, Tarver, Bryan? You two won the match, but we still don't have a number one rank. So right now, you two'll face off for that rank. Ring the bell!

Bret stays at ringside, as Bryan, still recovering from Sheffield's clothesline, gets to his feet… and is dropped again with a Kill Shot! Tarver makes the cover; could this be it?

Daniel Bryan eliminated by Michael Tarver; therefore Bryan is ranked second, and Tarver is ranked first (12:30)

Jerry Lawler: Wow! Michael Tarver is one step closer to becoming number one contender!

Michael Cole: He'll need to last another two months or so of this competition, but he has certainly been impressive tonight, King.

Jerry Lawler: True, but all seven men were eliminated in… dubious circumstances.

Michael Cole: Of course, all eight men still have a chance at victory, but congratulations to Michael Tarver, the winner of the inaugural NXT match.

Jerry Lawler: From debuting new stars, to retiring old ones, Michael, 'cos up next is Shawn Michaels' final farewell, as the Undertaker defeated him last night, at WrestleMania.

Michael Cole: Don't miss it!

We're shown a video package of the highlights of Shawn Michaels' career, starting with his time with the Rockers. We see the now infamous Barber Shop episode where Michaels superkicked his partner Marty Janetty through a window, and then some of his time with Sherri. We see his first Royal Rumble victory (not the whole match, just most of the end) and the lead up to his WrestleMania match with Bret Hart. Our next vision is that of Michaels flying down to the ring on a zipline at WrestleMania, as well as highlights of that very match, including his famous celebration, and the also famous Jim Ross line: 'The boyhood dream has been realized!' The highlights of his first title reign are shown, as well as highlights from the first Hell in a Cell match that show him in a positive light. We see Michaels' devastating injury that kept him out for four years and then his return and highlights from his feud with Triple H. We see his win in the first Elimination Chamber, but of course we skip through Wrestle Mania season because it features Benoit, but we eventually get to WrestleMania last year and more highlights from his two-year feud with Undertaker; and then finally his last match last night.

.We cut back to the ring, where-

Shawn Michaels makes his way down to the ring to easily the biggest pop of the night. He has tears in his eyes as he kneels on the ramp, points to the heavens, and sets off his pyro for probably the last time. He walks down to the ring slowly, slapping the hands of the fans as he does it..

Shawn Michaels: I-

Shawn waits for the crowd noise to die down a bit before beginning.

Shawn Michaels: Wow. Y'know, I've been doing this for 16 years and I'm still not used to this. As you probably just saw, I've been through hell more than once, and it was probably time for me to retire years ago. So, Undertaker, I want you to know that I don't have any .bad blood against you for retiring me. I wouldn't want to have my last match against anybody else..

Triple H comes out with a slight smirk on his face and Michaels mouths 'I should've known'.

Triple H: To quote the most 'awful' superstar in the history of the WWE; really, Shawn? Really?

Big pop as Triple H does a spot-on impersonation of The Miz.

Triple H: You'd rather to face the Undertaker in your last match than me? I'm hurt, Shawn, I really am.

Triple H grins.

Triple H: Nah, you know I'm just messin' with ya..

Triple H gets into the ring now, and hugs Shawn.

Triple H: Y'know, when I came to the WWE, you were the man that everyone respected, not only that, but the man that everybody wanted to beat. Now I'm that man, but back then, it was you..

Shawn Michaels: No, Hunter, not everyone respects you. There's a man who was at WrestleMania, I'm not sure if you saw him? Ah, who am I kiddin', how do you miss Sheamus with his mayonaisse body and red hair and his 'Irish brogue'…

They both share a laugh.

Shawn Michaels: Well done on your win last night, by the way. You overcame the odds; big Snow White had a huge advantage, you would've been blinded by his skin!

Triple H nods.

Triple H: Ah, what are we doing, we're s'posed to be talking about a definite Hall of Famer, but instead we're talking about a man who doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of becoming the WWE Champion again.

Massive boos ring out as Sheamus jumps the barricade while holding a lead pipe, but the two men who were D-Generation-X are looking the other way, so they have no idea why the crowd is booing. Michaels turns around first, right into a Brogue Kick! Triple H looks around angrily, INTO A HUGE BLOW TO THE HEAD WITH THE PIPE! Sheamus yells at Triple H that his win last night was a fluke, and nails Michaels with the pipe! Triple H is trying to pull himself up with the rope, but Sheamus Brogue Kicks him over the rope and onto the floor! With an evil look in his eye, Sheamus picks Michaels up in a crucifix on his back, and tosses him out of the ring on top of Triple H with Pale Justice! Sheamus celebrates in the ring as we fade… to… black.

WWE News and Notes

For a while it has been felt by the heads of the WWE that the Divas division was going nowhere, and as of today, the division is gone. Some Divas will stay around to help with men's storylines and/or manage some of the men, such as Natalya with the Hart Dynasty, and Melina who looks to be entering a storyline with John Morrison.

Teddy Long and Bret Hart; the General Managers of SmackDown and Raw, have agreed that the winner of WrestleMania' 26-man battle royal, Yoshi Tatsu, will recieve an Intercontinental Championship match anytime up to Extreme Rules.

As most of you now know, Shelton Benjamin allied with MVP on Raw, and now its official; the Gold Standard and the Franchise Playa' have been traded to RAW! As for the Superstars on the other end of the deal, they will be revealed on this week's edition of SmackDown.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown Preview

Five nights removed from one of the greatest WrestleManias of all time, Friday Night SmackDown will roll into Las Vegas, Nevada. Five nights ago, Rey Mysterio used his quickness to cancel out the numbers game of the Straight-Edge Society, and stop himself having to join the group. Yoshi Tatsu won the biggest match of his life; a 26-man battle royal to determine the #1 Contender to the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. Chris Jericho retained his World Heavyweight Championship through shady tactics, but it was Edge who got the last laugh, spearing Y2J through the ringside barricade. Undertaker was also victorious last night, ending the career of the Showstopper, Shawn Michaels, and tonight he will use the rematch clause that he never had an opportunity to cash in while he was involved with Michaels, as he will face Chris Jericho with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Last Monday night on Raw, we witnessed three events that will affect SmackDown; first, MVP and Shelton Benjamin turned on the WWE Universe by attacking Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne in the middle of their match, and later it was announced that they had been drafted to RAW. The two men SmackDown got in return will be revealed tonight. Second, SmackDown team, Cryme Time, broke apart, after an errant forearm from JTG inadvertently cost them the #1 Contendership. After the match, Shad Gaspard kicked his partner's head off with a Beast Foot. Tonight, Gaspard will face his former friend Slam Master J, who will be trying to stand up for JTG, who will be at home recovering. Lastly, the NXT competiton kicked off, with Michael Tarver grabbing the early lead. Tonight, the last-ranked rookie, Heath Miller, will attempt to get some redemption as he faces the second-ranked Daniel Bryan.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - Chris Jericho vs The Undertaker

Shad Gaspard vs Slam Master J

NXT #2 Rank - Daniel Bryan vs Heath Miller

SmackDown's newest Superstars are revealed!

Re: WWE 2010
The opening was unexpected to say the least. I did not expect for Bret Hart to take over Vince's promotion, and to add insult to injury Bret used the same words Vince uses for everyone. For the Hart Dynasty to face Cryme Tyme sounds like a legitimate matcb. Hart then announced that he would be openinig NXT, will you be writing this? It would seem like a great read.

Evan vs Kingston is a solid match-up although the recap was extremely short. Shelton interfering and MVP turning his back was also spontaneous, I hope you build up on this.

Barret starting the Barrett Barrage before NXT starts? Interesting...

Didn't even last 5 seconds without Swagger exxaggerating his MITB win by forcing it into his opponent's head, litterally. Looking forward to the match next week.

The promo between Cena and Batista as TV Standard Perfect...not too great to seem like a PPV promo but not too sucky to seem like a backyard wrestling promo.

The whole tag team match was chaotic. In my opinion, Cryme Tyme split too soon but its your BTB. Anyways, nice little tag division feud going on. Plus, again, in my own opinion, Bret was a little too on everyone's case on that show.

The R-Truth vs John Morrision seems like a great match, plus it is between two skilled competitors so it wasn't a disapoint.

The 8-man tag team match was surprisingly long. To be honest, it is around 4 or 5 times longer than the other match recaps. Probably even, triple all the other recaps combined.

Keep up this innovative and interesting storylines, but elaborate more. Don't tell me it was a great match, explain why it was. The main event shouldn't look like the only match with effort put into it.

"Triple H: You'd rather to face the Undertaker in your last match than me? I'm hurt, Shawn, I really am.

Triple H grins.

Triple H: Nah, you know I'm just messin' with ya.."

LOL that was funny, the whole last promo is somewhat confusing. Eh, I'll try to get why Sheamus interfered.

Score : 71/C-

Re: WWE 2010
Friday Night SmackDown!.

'I Made It' by Kevin Rudolf plays in the background, as we start off with a recap of everything from WrestleMania 26 that affects SmackDown, starting with the 26-man battle royal, and when Shad Gaspard eliminates JTG, the video quickly cuts to Shad's attack on JTG on Raw. We then see the final two in the match, Zack Ryder and Yoshi Tatsu. Ryder charges for a Rough Ryder, but Tatsu sends him up and over, but his feet don't quite hit the floor, so Tatsu finishes the job with a Buzzsaw Kick, making him the #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship. We next see what happened in the Money in the Bank match, with Drew McIntyre and Matt Hardy costing each other the match, as well as an amazing Zig Zag off the ladder on Hardy, and Kane just generally wreaking havoc. The match between Rey Mysterio and CM Punk is next, with the Straight-Edge Society's number game getting the better of Mysterio to start off with, but then Mysterio starts to use his speed to turn it against them, before hurricanranaing Punk into Luke Gallows, before winning the match with a 619. Next is the World Heavyweight Championship contest between champion Chris Jericho and Edge, with Jericho hitting Edge with the championship and Edge kicking out of it, as well as a Codebreaker which he also kicks out of. Jericho kicks out of two spears, and counters a third into another Codebreaker which gets him the win, but after the match, an irate Edge spears Jericho through the barricade! We then see the final match of the night, where Shawn Michaels and Undertaker fought for their livelihoods and as with the last match, both hit their signature moves, but couldn't put the other away, but finally, the Deadman put the Showstopper's career to rest with one final Tombstone. We then see the NXT tag-match on RAW, showing the eliminations in quick succession: with Heath Slater having a fit on the stage, Justin Gabriel rolling David Otunga up, Darren Young tapping out to Daniel Bryan's LeBell Lock, Wade Barrett hitting the Wasteland through the table to Ryan Sheffield, Michael Tarver nailing Justin Gabriel with Tarver's Lightning, Sheffield returning and hitting Barrett with the Sheffield Shock, and finally, the Tarver's Lightning that ended it all to Bryan. We see Tarver celebrating before the package ends.

The camera pans around the crowd here in Las Vegas, Nevada, who are very excited for the first SmackDown of the wrestling year.

Todd Grisham: Hello, and welcome to SmackDown, where we're only five nights removed from a massive WrestleMania 26..

Matt Striker: By hook or by crook, Chris Jericho managed to retain his World Heavyweight Championship against a very game Rated-R Superstar.

Todd Grisham: But it was Edge who got the last laugh, Spearing Jericho straight through a barricade!

Matt Striker: You know what they say, Todd; he who laughs last laughs loudest, and chances are Edge'll be laughing if Jericho loses the Championship to Undertaker in our main event tonight.

Todd Grisham: Jericho's injured ribs will definitely be a factor, and there's a good chance that we could have a new champion here in Sin City..

The Rated-R Superstar makes his way down to the ring, looking sore after the competitve match last night with Chris Jericho.

Todd Grisham: And here he is, Matt. He was the 2002 King of the Ring, 2005 Mr. Money in the Bank, and the winner of this year's Royal Rumble, but he still couldn't get the job done last night against the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion.

Matt Striker: True, but Jericho had to resort to smashing Edge in the head with the title, and it still wouldn't put Edge away!

Edge: Last night, Chris Jericho defeated me. I'll admit it - he was the better man. Chris Jericho was the better man last night - at cheating. I wrestled a fair, clean match; but Chris Jericho needed to hit me with the title belt that should belong to me to win. Yep, Chris Jericho; truly the Best in the World at what he does - cheating like a bitch!

Chris Jericho hits the ring, looking smug after last night's win, but pissed at Edge's allegations. He has his ribs taped up.

Chris Jericho: Are you - are you alright, Edge? You're looking a little green over there…

Jericho gasps in mock realization.

Chris Jericho: Wait - you're not just a little bit jealous, are you, Edge?

Edge: No, of course not, why would I be jealous; just because you've got the Championship that belongs to me around your waist?.

Chris Jericho: This belongs to you? That is the biggest load of crap I've heard since someone said John Cena could wrestle; if this belonged to you, you would've been able to take it from me at WrestleMania while you had the chance -

Edge: - which I would've done if you hadn't have smashed it into my skull! I deserve a rematch!

Chris Jericho: You speared me through a damn barricade at WrestleMania; you don't deserve a title shot, you deserve a suspension!

Teddy Long dances out onto the stage.

Teddy Long: Now, I see you two playa's have some unfinished business, but tonight, Chris, you're locked into a World title match with the Undertaker tonight, so Edge is gonna have to wait. But since you're so eager for a match, Edge, you're gonna face Kane tonight, and if you win, you'll get a title shot at Extreme Rules! Holla!

The crowd gives a great pop as our second main event is revealed! Chris Jericho is looking pissed, but Edge is thrilled at his second chance. Jericho yells at Long, and then turns into a Spear from Edge! Edge poses with the World Championship over the top of Jericho as we head to commercial.

Hate Me Now by Nas plays and it becomes clear that Shad Gaspard has new music, as well as new attire, wearing black trunks with a spiky silver pattern on the bottom, and with 'MY TIME' in big silver letters on the back..

Tony Chimel: The following contest is set for one-fall. Introducing first, from the streets of Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at 290 pounds, .Shad Gaspard!

As Gaspard gets in the ring, he pushes the top rope down, and yells out 'MY TIME!.

There is little to no reaction for the rarely seen Slam Master J, but he comes out ready to face his former friend.

Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from the A-T-L, weighing in at 220 pounds, Slam Master J!

J makes his way down the ramp, but doesn't make it all the way to the ring, as Gaspard is there to meet him at the foot of the ramp with the Beast Foot! He throws the man formerly known as Jesse into the steel steps, where he falls into a seated position. Shad takes a few steps backwards, yells out 'MY TIME!', and then hits J with the Beast Foot against the cold, hard steel, leaving him in a crumpled heap on the floor! Shad shows no remorse whatsoever, and the ref has no choice but to call this match a no contest..

Shad gets up to the top of the ramp, where he turns back to look at the destruction he has left, and then smirks. He turns back around to head backstage, and gets hit with Da Shout Out on the stage! Its JTG! He was meant to be at home resting, but it seems like he couldn't resist getting back at his former partner after what happened on RAW. JTG goes back to check on his friend J, who is being carried off on a stretcher, as we head backstage, where SmackDown's new backstage interviewer, Tiffany.is standing by with the Rated-R Superstar, Edge.

Tiffany: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Tiffany, and I'm standing by with the man who tonight has a chance to once again become number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge, how do you feel about having to take on one of the most dominant forces in WWE history, Kane, in our first main event tonight?

Edge: Well, Tiff, Kane and I have a lot of history. I stole his wife, he interrupted my wedding and Tombstoned the priest, and then he beat me. He beat me, but that was nearly 5 years ago. Since then, I have become a nine-time world champion, and Kane has sat around doing nothing, and how long has he held the World title? One - measly - day. And that was 12 years ago. Since then, Kane has become a shell of his former self, and tonight will be another example of that, when I Spear him in half!

Tony Chimel: The following contest is set for one-fall, and it is to determine the number-two rank in the NXT competiton.

The rookie currently at rank 2 in the inaugural NXT competition, Daniel Bryan, makes his way down to the ring for his match with the last-ranked Heath Miller. He pumps his fist shouting 'YES!' as he sidesteps down the ramp, climbs up onto the turnbuckle, and sings the refrain of 'The Final Countdown' along with the crowd.

Miller walks down to the ring seriously lacking the enthusiasm of his opponent, still fuming at his rank. He talks some trash to Bryan, before...

Here comes the SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long for the second time tonight..

Teddy Long: Now, before you two playa's start your match, I have an announcement to make concerning this competition. Now, I'm busy enough controlling the SmackDown Superstars and RAW doesn't have a General Manager, so Bret Hart and I have decided to appoint a new General Manager for NXT! This new manager will be revealed next week on RAW! Holla!

The crowd pops big for this announcement, as Bryan shrugs and the bell rings.

Match 2 - Daniel Bryan vs Heath Miller - Rank 2 on the line

Bryan is hit with a big kick to the gut from Miller, who quickly goes on the offensive, whipping his opponent into the corner. Miller lays into him with some boots to the midsection, before stepping back and looking for a corner clothesline... .no, Bryan moves out of the way and Miller eats turnbuckle. He bounces off, and then gets caught with a picture perfect dropkick courtesy of the American Dragon. AmDrag lifts Miller into a seated position, takes a step back, and then charges at him, hitting him with a neck snap! Bryan then grabs the arm of Miller, followed by the head, and then locks in the dragon sleeper! Miller is fading, and he randomly strikes out, hitting the referee with his forearm. With no ref to disqualify him, he swings his elbow backwards, connecting with the groin of Bryan! Miller leaves the ring to get a chair, and slides back in with it, but Bryan dropkicks it straight into his face! He kicks the chair out of the ring, before going for the cover, and the conveniently recovered referee makes the count...

Tony Chimel: Here's your winner and still the number two rank in the NXT competition, the American Dragon, Daniel Bryan!

As with before the match, Bryan sidesteps around the ring repeatedly shouting 'YES!' He does three laps before climbing onto the top rope and singing the refrain of 'The Final Countdown' along with the crowd. Heath Miller, however, has recovered, and gets Bryan in a back to back position... before nailing him with his finisher; a hangman's neckbreaker called Miller's Crossing. Miller talks a little trash to his fallen enemy, before we head to commercial.

Tony Chimel: The following tag team match is set for one fall. Introducing first, at a combined weight of 442 pounds, the team of Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft, the Dudebusters!

One of SmackDown's brightest young tag teams, Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft make their way to the ring for some pretty good heat; nothing earthshaking, but not bad nonetheless. .

The Guyanese Goliath, Ezekiel Jackson makes his way to the ring to slightly more boos than his opponents. He poses, flexing before making it into the ring where he waits for his partner...

Big Zeke's former partner in ECW, Vladimir Kozlov, makes his way to the ring, and the Dudebusters have a tall task ahead of them. .Kozlov and Jackson stare down, arguing about who will start off, but Jackson eventually pats Kozlov on the back and steps through the ropes..

Match 3 - The Dudebusters vs Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov

Jackson is in the ring with Croft, and nails him with a huge clothesline. He then picks him up, and nails him with an Oklahoma Stampede. Jackson waits for Croft to get to his knees, before running off the ropes and damn near kicking his head off. He makes the cover...

Barreta breaks it up with a knee to the head of Jackson. Jackson goes after Barreta, but Croft gets him with a schoolboy...

Jackson powers out, and is livid at the fact that he was almost caught then. He grabs Croft by the throat, and throws him across the ring, inadvertently knocking Kozlov off the apron. Jackson shows little concern for his partner, lifting Croft up, and throws him back down into the mat with a scoop slam! Jackson is getting pumped now, and he flexes... BEFORE TURNING INTO THE IRON CURTAIN! Vladimir Kozlov just nailed his partner with the Iron Curtain, and leaves the ring, essentially throwing this match away! Croft puts his arm over Jackson's chest...

Tony Chimel: Here are your winners: the team of Trent Barreta & Caylen Croft, the Dudebusters!.

Barreta grabs two mics and gives one to Croft.

Trent Barreta: Ya see that? Caylen and myself just proved why we are the best tag team in the world today by beating two of the most dominant forces in the WWE.

Caylen Croft: Bret Hart overlooked us on Monday in the number one contenders match, so we need some competiton!.

Teddy Long:
A'ight, playas, you want competition?

Trent Barreta: Yeah!

Teddy Long: Then it looks like its high time to unveil the new tag team over from RAW; Jorge Arias and Donny Marlow!

The two men come out from backstage. Arias is a Mexican American, and is wearing a white singlet, jeans, and a black bandana. Marlow is a muscly Tongan-American, and is wearing a black tank top, jeans, a black beanie and .dark glasses. The two teams stare down in the middle of the ring for a moment, before Barreta slaps the big man in the face! Marlow holds his face for a moment, before nailing Barreta with a huge DDT! Barreta rolls out of the ring, and Croft realizes how much trouble he's got himself into! He tries to run for it, but Marlow is too quick, and nails him with a Samoan drop, before Arias leaps off the top rope with a high-angle senton bomb, which he calls the Falling Star! The two men celebrate in the ring as we head to commercial.

CM Punk, Luke Gallows and Serena make their way to the ring, all looking pretty angry after their loss at WrestleMania to Rey Mysterio.

CM Punk: WrestleMania was supposed to be my night. It was meant to be the night that Rey Mysterio would join the Straight-Edge Society, but for whatever reason, namely Mysterio's unfair advantage when using his knee brace as a weapon. Rey, I want a rematch at Extreme Rules!

Rey Mysterio: Punk, you lie about many things, but you were actually right this time; I did beat you at WrestleMania. And if you want a rematch with the same stipulation as at WrestleMania, you're gonna have to put something of your own on the line; lets go with your hair!

CM Punk: That's not gonna happen, Rey....

Teddy Long: You two playas obviously wanna fight, and you're gonna have a chance to do that at Extreme Rules. As for the stipulation, that will be decided in next weeks main event when Luke Gallows will go one-on-one with a Superstar of Mysterio's choosing. If Gallows wins, Punk will choose the stipulation; if he loses, Mysterio will choose it. Oh, and by the way, the SES will be banned from ringside!

Punk is livid, but Mysterio taunts the SES as we head backstage, where Tiffany is standing by with SmackDown's newest tag team, Jorge Arias and Donny Marlow.

Tiffany: Here I am again, but this time I am with Jorge Arias & Donny Marlow. Jorge, Donny, we haven't ever seen you before here in the WWE, what's the story behind your partnership?

Donny Marlow: Ah, Jorge 'n I go way back. We first met over ten years ago in the street when I was getting beaten up by a gang of thugs, but Jorgey here saved my life.

Jorge Arias: Yeah, I got stabbed that night, but I tore a man's eyeball out as well, and Donny 'n I 'ave been friends ever since.

Donny Marlow: The two of us have been wrestlin' all around the world for nearly ten years now, and we were signed to RAW last December, but there wasn't a good enough time for us to debut over there, but SmackDown is as good a place as any for us to make our mark. My father, Haku, was a legendary tag team wrestler with the late, great André the Giant, and we're hoping that our team will reach the point set by the legends of the past.

Tiffany: Thank you for your time, and good luck here on SmackDown!

Tony Chimel: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, from Ayr, Scotland, weighing in at 254 pounds, he is the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre!

McIntyre makes his way to the ring, and he is not wearing his normal blue and white attire, now his attire is predominantly black with gold patterning.

Tony Chimel: And his partner, from Hollywood, Florida, weighing in at 213 pounds, Dolph Ziggler!

Ziggler makes his way to the ring wearing a black vest that reads 'I AM PERFECTION DZ' on the back.

Tony Chimel: And their opponent, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 235 pounds, Matt Hardy!

Matt Hardy does his V1 taunt before heading down the ramp.

Tony Chimel: And his partner, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing in at 221 pounds, Yoshi Tatsu!

The number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship, Yoshi Tatsu comes down to a new theme; he is no longer jumping and dancing around. His previously white strip in his hair is now red, and he is wearing black pants with white kanji on it. The Japanese Diva, Gail Kim trails behind him, and plants a kiss on his cheek before the match begins.

Match 4 - Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler vs Matt Hardy & Yoshi Tatsu w/ Gail Kim

Ziggler & Hardy start off here, and Ziggler's days of offering for a handshake are gone, as he goes straight for a slap to the face. This only serves to piss Hardy off though, as he goes for the double leg takedown, and starts laying into Ziggler with lefts and rights! Ziggler eventually turns the tables and hits Hardy with a few punches of his own before the ref separates the two. Hardy is pissed at Ziggler, who taunts the man who will not die, who just comes right back into the fight, nailing Ziggler with a forearm smash, knocking him to the ground. Hardy grabs Ziggler in an inverted facelock, and then drops him to the mat with an inverted DDT! Hardy goes for the cover…

Ziggler just gets his shoulder up and crawls towards the opposition's corner, and Hardy charges in looking for a corner clothesline; but Ziggler ducks out, and Hardy bounces off the turnbuckle into a huge superkick! This could be it…

Hardy gets his shoulder up, and Ziggler gets right back on the offense, getting his opponent in a headlock. After a moment, Ziggler flips, and does a headstand, just showing off to the crowd, but Tatsu comes in, and shoot kicks the exposed midsection of Ziggler, breaking the headlock. Ziggler goes after Tatsu, but Hardy grabs him from behind, lifts him up in a crucifix position, and then hits him with Splash Mountain! This has gotta be over…

No! The pinfall is broken up with a kick to the head by McIntyre, who quickly slips out of the ring to avoid Hardy, who points at Drew, before Ziggler nails him with the Zig Zag! He makes the pin, and as Yoshi Tatsu tries to save Hardy, he is cut off with a big boot from McIntyre.

Tony Chimel: Here are your winners, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre!

Matt Hardy is livid that this one got away, and grabs Ziggler from the top rope, and nails him with a Twist of Fate! Drew McIntyre tries to cheap shot Tatsu, but the man from Tokyo ducks, and then nails the Intercontinental Champion with a huge roundhouse kick! He signals that he's coming for his title, before shaking Hardy's hand..

Gail Kim: McIntyre, your days as champion are almost up, because next week on SmackDown, Yoshi Tatsu is cashing in his title shot!

McIntyre holds his head while walking up the ramp, while Tatsu & Kim kiss passionately in the middle of the ring.

Tony Chimel: The following contest is set for one-fall. Introducing first, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane!.

Its time for the first of two main events tonight, where we'll see the 2010 Royal Rumble winner, Edge, take on the always dangerous Kane. Kane sets off his pyro, and he's angry after his Money in the Bank loss last Sunday.

The Rated-R Superstar makes his way to the ring to a huge pop. He points to the heavens as his pyro goes off, charges down the ramp, and then slides into the ring in typical Edge fashion..

Match 5 - Kane vs Edge

Kane whips his opponent into the ropes, but gets caught on the way back with a spinning heel kick...

Kane gets his shoulder up easily, and Edge doesn't look at all surprised. He bounces off the ropes once more... and runs into a big boot…

Edge gets out easily as well, and these two men are at a stalemate right now. Edge backs into the corner, and Kane runs into the corner looking for a clothesline, but Edge catches him with a flapjack, sending Kane careening out of the ring! Kane goes face first into the concrete outside, and Edge goes to the top waiting for Kane to stand up... missile dropkick to the Big Red Monster, sending him into the barricade! Edge looks to have hurt himself as well, and the referee starts the count...

Edge slides back into the ring...

Kane does too, and he is met with a big boot to the head by Edge, who makes the cover…

Kane just gets his shoulder up, and now Edge is amazed at just how much punishment Kane is willing to take. Edge whips Kane into the ropes, but he bends over too early, and is caught with a running DDT! Kane goes up top, and nails Edge with a diving clothesline, could this be it?

Now its Kane's turn to be stunned, as neither of these men are going to be put to rest! Kane raises his hand in anticipation for a chokeslam, he grabs Edge by the throat, lifts him up… but Edge slips out, bounces off the ropes, SPEAR BY EDGE! This has gotta be it…

What the? The ref just got pulled out of the ring, and the camera pans out to show Chris Jericho! The ref gets thrown into the barricade, before the Champion runs into the ring, and hits Edge with a Codebreaker! Jericho runs out of the ring, grabs the ref and rips his shirt off, pulling it over his own shoulders! He slides back in the ring to count the pin...

Tony Chimel: Here's your winner, Kane!

After the unbelievably fast count, Edge will not be getting a World Championship shot, and it looks as if Chris Jericho got what he wanted tonight..

The current World Heavyweight Champion comes out for his second title defense in a week smirking after what happened before the break. We see a replay of Jericho costing Edge a match with Kane and the number one contendership. Jericho laughs after watching this as the lights go out.

The Undertaker makes his fabled entrance for the first time since retiring Shawn Michaels last Sunday. This is his chance to win a fourth World Heavyweight Championship; the same championship he lost to Jericho at Elimination Chamber following Shawn Michaels' interference, but now, there is no way Michaels can interfere. The lights come back on, and Jericho is looking worried. The hat and cloak come off, as a graphic comes onto the screen telling us that this is indeed for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Tony Chimel: The following contest is set for one-fall, and it is for the World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Death Valley, weighing in at 299 pounds, he is the Phenom of the WWE, The Undertaker!

'Taker remains emotionless as he is announced to the crowd.

Tony Chimel: And his opponent, he is the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho!

Jericho smirks and raises the title, before handing it over to referee Scott Armstrong for what could be the last time. Armstrong raises the title high above his head to symbolize what's at stake here tonight.

Match 6 - Chris Jericho vs The Undertaker - World Heavyweight Championship

Halfway through the match, and we still don't have a clear winner. Undertaker nails with some lefts and rights, sending Jericho into the ropes. He takes a step back, watching Jericho fall to the ground, before planting him with a running DDT. 'Taker hovers over Jericho a bit too long, as he gets hit with a low blow, and as the referee's vision is obstructed by the Deadman, he gets away with it. Jericho springboards off the middle rope, and hits 'Taker with a Lionsault! He goes to lock in the Walls, perhaps prematurely because Undertaker sits up before he can be turned over! He grabs Y2J around the throat, causing him to break the hold! 'Taker stands up, still holding Jericho, and plants him with a chokeslam!

Jericho has his foot under the bottom rope! Undertaker raises his arm; its time for Jericho's Last Ride as World Champ! Undertaker lifts him up, but on the way down, Jericho hits him with the Codebreaker!.

And the ref gets pulled out of the ring! Its Edge! Both Jericho and Undertaker are up, and Edge charges at Jericho for a Spear... but Y2J dives out of the way and Edge Spears Undertaker instead! Jericho Codebreakers Edge, throws him out of the ring, and makes the cover. A new ref, Chad Patton runs down to make the count…

Edge has inadvertently cost The Undertaker the World Heavyweight Championship! Edge is starting to recover, and Undertaker is up! Jericho quickly leaves the ring, as Undertaker Tombstones Edge, sending a message to the World Champion, who knows that he was lucky here tonight, as Friday Night SmackDown comes to an end with 'Taker and Jericho staring down from afar.

Re: WWE 2010
WWE Raw Preview - 5th April 2010 - Moline, Illinois

Last week on RAW was the first night with Bret Hart as the owner of the company, and it didn't disappoint. Although he was General Manager last week, he revealed over the weekend that he planned to reveal the permanent RAW General Manager after the 'Guest Host' scene was thrown out of the window. Reports say that the proposed General Manager has been in the position before, but the only way to find out is to watch!

RAW's newest tag team, MVP & Shelton Benjamin attacked Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne during their match last week, and tonight they will face the Hart Dynasty for entry into the tag title match at Extreme Rules; while Kofi and Evan will face The Miz for the same privelege, but with Miz's partner The Big Show banned from the arena.

After Jack Swagger intentionally got himself disqualified in his match with Christian last week, Bret Hart announced a rematch for the main event tonight; where if Christian wins, he goes on to face Swagger at Extreme Rules for the Money in the Bank contract, and if Swagger gets counted out or disqualified, he's fired!

We will also see another NXT match, as Ryan Sheffield faces David Otunga for the fifth rank, as well as a tag match with former rivals John Cena and Randy Orton taking on Batista and Ted DiBiase. All four men will face off at Extreme Rules, and two of the four will battle for the WWE Championship at Over the Limit.
