Monday night on RAW, yet another match was announced for the next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules. This match will be a Lethal Lockdown match pitting new United States Champion, John Morrison, and his band of misfits, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks and newcomer Scott Dawson against Morrison's former best friend, R-Truth, and the Colons, Carlito, Primo and Epico. This match, while billed as a Lethal Lockdown, will not be too similar to TNA's old version of the match. The participants will compete within a 15-foot high steel cage that surrounds the majority of the ringside area, with the two team captains (Morrison & Truth) starting out the match. After a random amount of time, a member of one of the teams will enter the match. The team that enters first will most likely be decided in a match on Monday Night Raw. After a random amount of time, a member from the opposite team will enter. This will keep happening until every member of each team has entered. Competitors can be eliminated by pinfall, submission, or disqualification. Disqualification can only occur if a competitor enters the cage before their entry time. Once every member of each team is eliminated, the other team will win the match.

After careful deliberation, the WWE creative team has decided against integrating former TNA pay-per-views into the PPV schedule. Instead, they have reintroduced some more classic WWE pay-per-views for 2010. This marks the second time since WrestleMania that the PPV schedule has been altered. Here is the new schedule following Extreme Rules, red marking RAW exclusive events, blue marking SmackDown exclusive events, and black marking dual-branded events:

Judgment Day - May 23, 2010 - Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan
King of the Ring - June 20, 2010 - Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York
Vengeance - July 18, 2010 - Sprint Center, Kansas City, Missouri
SummerSlam - August 15, 2010 - Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
No Mercy - September 19, 2010 - Allstate Arena, Allstate, Illinois
Unforgiven - October 3, 2010 - American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
Night of Champions - October 24, 2010 - Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Survivor Series - November 21, 2010 - American Airlines Center, Miami, Florida
Armageddon - December 19, 2010 - 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, Maryland
Royal Rumble - January 30, 2011 - TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
Bad Blood - February 20, 2011 - Oracle Arena, Oakland, California
WrestleMania XXVII - April 3, 2011 - Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia
Backlash - May 1, 2011 - St. Pete Times Square, Tampa, Florida

The WWE creative team has doubled back on a former decision yet again with the WWE Main Event show being dumped. It is thought that the NXT match is the only match that could have any consequence, and so that match will be shifted to the final SmackDown before Extreme Rules.

Another major decision that has been turned back is the decision to revert back to brand-exclusive pay-per-views. Instead, both brands will participate in all PPVs.

There has been a rather interesting change to the format of the WWE Draft this year. As has already been reported, no Superstars will be switching brands, but instead twenty men; ten from TNA and ten from WWE's developmental territory FCW, will be drafted to each brand. The draft order will most likely be decided by matches on RAW and SmackDown.

Friday Night SmackDown
16 April, 2010
O2 Arena
London, England

CM Punk opens the show with the Straight Edge Society, and invites several audience members to the ring to be inducted into the Straight Edge Society. Punk starts to shave the head of one man, when Rey Mysterio runs down the ramp and fights Punk, Cabana and Gallows out of the ring, before challenging Cabana to a match tonight! Punk accepts on his behalf, and Rey sends a message to his opponent with a 619 to the man who Punk was shaving.

An NXT fatal-4-way match for the third rank takes place between Wade Barrett, Paul Lloyd, Darren Sanford and Ryan Sheffield. After Barrett tries to hit Sheffield with brass knucks, the Silverback chases him through the crowd, allowing Lloyd to pin Sanford for the win, improving his rank to third, while Barrett slips to fourth.

Sheffield and Barrett continue to brawl backstage, with Sheffield coming out on top, throwing a random worker onto Barrett and sending them both through a production table. He goes to inflict more damage, but he is stopped by NXT General Manager Mick Foley, who tells him that if he attacks Barrett or visa versa between now and Extreme Rules, they will be taken to eighth rank and put up for elimination against Michael Tarver.

Following his partner's defeat of Trent Barreta last week, Donny Marlow attempts to make it two for two in his in-ring debut against Caylen Croft. After Croft accidentally strikes the referee while caught in a dragon sleeper, Barreta takes the opportunity to hit Marlow with a springboard high knee to the face. Arias takes Barreta out of the equation with an Argentine backbreaker rack flipped into a Samoan drop, which Striker calls the Arias Special, but he is then superkicked out of the ring by Croft, who then hits a flying crossbody from the top rope to Marlow, and scores a big singles win! The big man doesn't take too kindly, and drops both Dudebusters while they're celebrating; with a belly-to-back suplex from the middle rope to Barreta, and a big spinebuster to Croft to leave SmackDown's newest tag team standing tall.

Croft and Barreta complain to Teddy Long about being attacked by Marlow after Croft's win, and Long announces a huge match for next week between the two teams… to decide the new World Tag Team Champions!

Shad Gaspard beats Ezekiel Jackson cleanly in a battle of the big men with a monstrous powerbomb. When JTG goes to check on Jackson after the match, Shad takes his head off with a Beast Foot.

Jack Swagger brags about nearly breaking Christian's ankle on Raw, saying that he looks forward to his night off at Extreme Rules. He then issues an open challenge after insulting the English fans, which is accepted by William Regal, who comes down to defend his country's honor. Swagger quickly dismisses Regal with the ankle lock after blindsiding him before the match. He doesn't let go of the ankle after the bell has rung though, holding on until he has to be dragged off by officials. Regal is then carried off on a stretcher… but Swagger tips the stretcher over and smashes Regal's ankle with countless steel chair shots, undoubtedly sending a message to Christian! He wraps the chair around the injured ankle, and gutwrench powerbombs the referee onto the steel, crushing Regal's ankle! Regal is unconscious from the pain, as we fade out.

Matt Hardy faces the man formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, Nick Nemeth in a fantastic TV match. Tiffany is on commentary after Hardy saved her from Nemeth last week. Nemeth kicks out of a big Side Effect, and then gets his foot on the ropes when hit with a Twist of Fate, but Hardy also shows his resilience when he kicks out of the Zig Zag. The referee is knocked out with an errant elbow from Hardy, but Tiffany thinks fast and pulls on his shirt to officiate the rest of the match. After a few more minutes of back and forth action, Hardy manages to get Nemeth in position for another Twist of Fate… BUT TIFFANY KICKS HIM BELOW THE BELT! Nemeth makes the cover, and Tiffany makes a fast count! Hardy's been screwed! Nemeth and Tiffany kiss in the middle of the ring, as it appears that they have aligned!

Teddy Long has an unexpected visitor; Bret Hart! The Hitman informs Long that the board of directors have decided that he cannot run SmackDown on his own anymore, and therefore have assigned him a co-GM! As for who this is, however? Teddy (and the rest of the fans) will have to wait for Extreme Rules to find out.

Drew McIntyre announces that he will be cashing in his rematch clause at Extreme Rules for Yoshi Tatsu's Intercontinental Championship. Nick Nemeth and Tiffany show up and badmouth McIntyre, saying that it should be Nemeth challenging for the title. Next to come into play is Matt Hardy, who has to stop himself from attacking Nemeth and Tiffany. Teddy Long intervenes, announcing that Hardy will face Nemeth at Extreme Rules, but Nemeth argues, saying that he should be in the title match rather than in a throwaway match at the PPV. Long makes another big announcement for next week's SmackDown, making a tag team match pitting Drew McIntyre and Yoshi Tatsu against Nick Nemeth and Matt Hardy! If Nemeth and Hardy win, they'll be inserted into the championship match. The teammates for next week mouth off at each other, until Hardy lashes out and drops Nemeth with a Twist of Fate onto the concrete! Unfortunately for him, he then turns into a Future Shock from McIntyre, leaving the Scotsman standing over his two opponents for next week.

Colt Cabana impresses in his debut against Rey Mysterio, which is probably just edged out by Nemeth/Hardy for match of the night. At several times in the match, Cabana looked as though he had the win, with a rope-hung cutter that he calls the Lake Shore Drive, as well as two big running knees to the skull, but Mysterio kept fighting, eventually dialling it up for a 619… but he bounces off the ropes into a big chair shot from CM Punk, and the ref awards Mysterio the win by DQ! Luke Gallows sets up a table in the corner, and Punk throws Rey towards the man formerly known as Festus, who scoops him up and plants him with the Twelfth Step through the table! Gallows then lifts an unconscious Rey up and puts him on Punk's shoulders, before he is hit with the GTS! Punk sits Rey up and holds his (Rey's) right hand in the air and his left hand to his heart. Gallows and Cabana do this as well, but Serena takes a little longer, her face almost showing… pity? Punk recites the Straight Edge pledge as we go to commercial.

In the main event, The Undertaker faces off with his brother Kane just nine days before they clash at Extreme Rules. The other man in the Extreme Rules equation, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, is the special guest referee. The match surprisingly goes off without a hitch… almost. When Kane kicks out of a chokeslam, Taker is livid, and hits a big boot on Jericho, sending him out of the ring. Taking advantage of the ref bump (third for the night), Edge runs down the ramp with a steel chair! He nails both Brothers of Destruction with the weapon, and then sets up for a one man con-chair-to on Kane… but Undertaker sits up! Edge hightails it from the ring, with Jericho not having seen it. Taker brings Kane up, and lifts him up by the throat… SHOT TO THE SKULL FROM JERICHO WITH THE WORLD TITLE! Taker has been knocked damn near unconscious, and Jericho has got revenge for that big boot! Kane covers, and Jericho makes the count, giving the Big Red Monster the win! Jericho isn't on Kane's side though, not by a long shot, as he takes him out with a Codebreaker! Y2J raises his championship above his head, standing over both Undertaker and Kane as the show comes to a close.

Monday Night Raw
April 19, 2010
LIVE from the Izod Center
East Rutherford, NJ

Six days before he is set to put his Money in the Bank contract on the line against Christian, the All-American American Jack Swagger issues another open challenge, after injuring William Regal on SmackDown. He pulls a (planted) fan straight out of the crowd, and asks for his name. The man tells Swagger that he can call him 'Red Dorado', before he slaps Mr. Money in the Bank clean across the face! A furious Swagger tackles the fan to the ground, pummeling him with rights and lefts, when… GO! Christian's music hits, and Swagger is shocked, turning his attention to the entrance ramp. When it becomes clear that Christian is nowhere to be seen, Swagger turns back around… into a stunning enzuigiri from the fan, who then goes to the top rope and leaps off with a breathtaking shooting star press! The fan makes the cover, and he gets the three count! He's pinned Mr. Money in the Bank! He laps up the cheers before getting clear of a livid Swagger. The Oklahoman storms out of the ring and up the ramp, searching for Christian.

After we return from commercials, we see Jack Swagger searching backstage for Christian. He even attacks a backstage worker with a slight resemblance to Captain Charisma. Swagger eventually storms into the office of Bret Hart, who tells him that Christian isn't here, which sends Mr. Money in the Bank into a rage, grabbing Hart by the collar and shoving him against the wall. The Hitman reminds Swagger that he can be fired at a moment's notice, which makes him back off. Hart then informs him that, after he was defeated by a random audience member, said fan will get a rematch with Swagger on SmackDown, and if he wins, he gets a WWE contract.

After his change of attitude in recent weeks, John Morrison addresses the WWE Universe alongside his newfound stablemates in Melina, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks and Scott Dawson, collectively known as the Supremacy. He acknowledges his turn and subsequent attack on former friend R-Truth, saying that he'd cost him both the World Heavyweight and WWE Tag Team Championships in the space of two months, and there was no way that he was gonna let him cost him the United States Championship as well. Truth himself comes out, asking how exactly was he to blame for Morrison's short comings. The champion takes us back to the build up to Elimination Chamber, when Morrison injured his ankle in a match against Truth, and says that if he had've gone all out on Truth rather than holding back because he was his friend, his ankle never would have been injured and he would be the World Heavyweight Champion. Truth disagrees with this statement, saying that injured or not, Morrison would never have won the title, because he is just… not… good enough. Morrison contemplates this for a moment, before launching at Truth for a superkick, but it is ducked, and the challenger this Sunday rolls out of the ring, motioning that he will have the championship. He is passed on the way up the ramp by The Miz, and it looks as though we'll have our United States Championship match right now!

John Morrison retains his United States Championship against the man he won it from; The Miz. Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Scott Dawson, Melina AND The Big Show were all banned from ringside, so it looked like the match was going to go off perfectly, and Miz looked like reclaiming the title he felt he should never have lost. That was until the Hart Dynasty made a run-in to distract one of the six men they will face in the Four Corners match this Sunday. This allowed Morrison to roll Miz up for the victory. As the Harts were gloating, they were blindsided by Shelton Benjamin and MVP! They hit their respective finishers on their rivals, before Benjamin turns around… into Trouble in Paradise from Kofi Kingston! MVP tries to swing at the Ghanan, who ducks, and Porter runs straight into Evan Bourne, who takes him to the steel ramp with a hurricanrana! Air Boom then converge on the Miz, who is still in the ring, but Big Show comes down to even the odds! He swings at Bourne for the knockout punch… but Bourne ducks and Show hits Miz! Miz is out cold! The big man looks on in shock, but he's soon out as well, courtesy of Trouble in Paradise! For the second week in a row, Air Boom is the team standing tall; will it be more of the same come Extreme Rules?

Triple H is interviewed backstage by Josh Matthews, and he reveals that he will be hoping for a Sheamus win in tonight's main event so that he can kick the Irishman's ass after what he did to Shawn Michaels the night after WrestleMania.

Up next is the NXT tag match pitting Daniel Bryan and David Otunga against Heath Miller and Michael Tarver. When Otunga's music played before the match, however, nobody came out, with the big man apparently still suffering from his injuries caused by Tarver last week. Bryan is left alone against the two heels, who cheap shot him before the match begins. Fortunately, Paul Lloyd sprints down to the ring to even up the odds, and it looks as though he will be Bryan's new partner! Tarver and Miller don't co-exist very well at all after Miller laid Tarver out with Miller's Crossing a few weeks ago. It all comes to a head when Miller is looking for the tag, but Tarver drops off the apron and backs up the ramp, leaving the redhead to the wolves! Bryan pounces on Miller, kicking his head in with a massive roundhouse, before giving the floor to Lloyd, who connects with a beautiful 450 Splash, before covering for the 1, 2, 3.

Tyler Reks defeats R-Truth in a match to decide whose team will enter first in Lethal Lockdown on Sunday. Truth puts up a valiant effort, but the numbers game of the Supremacy is too much for him in the end. The match ends when Truth bounces off the ropes looking for a scissor kick, but he is tripped up by Melina, allowing Reks to nail him with a big boot! The big man brings Truth back up, nails him with the Burning Hammer, and it's elementary. The rest of the Supremacy run down to the ring to assault Truth, and Hawkins gets up on the top rope looking for the Heat Seeking Elbow… but he is pushed off by Carlito! Reinforcements have arrived in the form of Carlito, Primo and Epico! The Supremacy clear the ring, but Tyler Reks stands his ground, beckoning for the Colons to come and fight, and that they do, but the big man is almost able to fight them off, with a monstrous spear to Primo and a spinebuster to Epico, before attempting to back body drop Carlito, but the Apple Spitter lands on his feet! Reks turns around into a big dropkick from 'Lito, who plays to the crowd, before being laid out by John Morrison with a superkick! The Supremacy stand victorious in the ring; will it happen again this Sunday?

A huge no disqualification fatal four-way match between the four men who could possibly be involved in the WWE Championship bout at Judgment Day; Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, Batista, and the Champ himself, John Cena. DiBiase stays out of the ring for the most part, letting three of the biggest stars of this era do battle. Batista and Orton both go after the champion to begin with, but that alliance doesn't last for long, as after Cena has been thoroughly beaten down, the Animal is dropped with a sudden RKO! Orton gives off a sick grin, before lining up for the punt… but he is cut off with a steel chair shot from DiBiase! The Fortunate Son brings the Viper to his feet, before dropping him with Dream Street! DiBiase taunts the crowd, before turning into an Attitude Adjustment from Cena! The Champ turns DiBiase over onto his stomach, and locks in the STF! Ted looks close to tapping, but Batista hits Cena with a big boot, breaking the hold! The Animal rolls DiBiase out of the ring with his boot, before dropping Cena with the Batista Bomb, making the cover, and picking up a HUGE momentum booster for his championship match this Sunday!

The main event is a battle of the beasts, with Mark Henry seeking retribution on Sheamus for his heinous assault last week. Shane McMahon keeps a close eye on the match from ringside. It's a fairly even match, with Henry selling his injuries from last week but no-one firmly keeping the upper hand. About eight minutes into the match, Mark Henry temporarily has control, and Triple H comes down to the ring to observe. This distracts the World's Strongest Man, who asks Hunter what the hell he's doing here. The Cerebral Assassin holds his hands up, saying that he's only there to watch, and Henry shakes his head in exasperation, before turning around into a Brogue Kick from Sheamus! The Celtic Warrior nearly takes Henry's head off, stamping his ticket to Extreme Rules! Triple H mockingly claps his nemesis' victory, before getting into the ring to stare his opponent down. Sheamus taunts Hunter, giving him a crotch chop, before turning and Brogue Kicking Henry out of the ring! Triple H smirks, leaving the ring to get a mic, saying 'Anything you can do, I can do better,' before dragging Henry over to the announce table, and putting him straight through with the Pedigree! Hunter flexes to the delight of the fans, but Sheamus is quick to follow, Brogue Kicking him, sending him over the barricade! Shane O'Mac pats Sheamus on the chest, before raising his arm in victory to close the show.
