WWF 1995: The New Generation
![]() ![]() The Road to the Royal Rumble continues The new tag team champions The Heavenly Bodies have been on a roll ever since they won the tag team tournament 2 weeks ago when they defeated The Smoking Gunns. The Bodies nailed Bart with Jim Cornette's tennis racket across the neck putting Bart out of action for some time. Bart will be back at The Royal Rumble as the Smoking Gunns will receive their rematch at The Royal Rumble. Over the next few weeks Doink continued to play mind games against The Undertaker. There would be promos of Doink in a circus and Undertaker in the cemetery sending a warning message to Doink. Doink is a guest again on Jerry Lawler's King's Court. Doink gives the reason why he's been messing around with The Undertaker. Doink says Undertaker is a phony, everyone thinks Undertaker can not be hurt, he thinks he's not human and Doink said he enjoyed playing pranks on The Undertaker. He enjoys playing mindgames with The Undertaker. Doink said Undertaker is not the most dangerous man in the WWF because the most dangerous man in the WWF is Doink. Not only is he unpredictable, he can be funny and he can be sadistic. Later that night in an Undertaker match, Doink came down to ringside and played another prank by throwing water in Undertaker's hat. Doink starts laughing wildly. Undertaker got counted out as he went after Doink who managed to escape. The following week Doink again interferes during an Undertaker match but Undertaker manages to get his hands on Doink. Undertaker tries to pull Doink's mask off until a second Doink appears and saves Doink. The two Doinks assaulted The Undertaker. Jerry Lawler who is on commentary calls it an illusion. The following week President Jack Tunney told Doink that last year he made a ruling that there will only be one Doink. He warned Doink if he sees another Doink in the WWF then Doink will be suspended. He also announced that Doink will face The Undertaker at The Royal Rumble. Later on during a Doink match, Paul Bearer made his return as he was reunited with The Undertaker. Doink was so stunned and the lights went out and The Undertaker was right behind him. Undertaker dropped Doink with a tombstone and said at The Royal Rumble, Doink will Rest In Peace. Last week on Raw, Doink vows that he will get revenge on The Undertaker. He will show The Undertaker the real dark side. Both men excel in playing mind games and what a showdown this will be at The Rumble. ![]() WWF ROSTER WWF Champion: Diesel | Since 26/11/94 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon | Since 29/8/94 WWF Tag Team Champions: The Heavenly Bodies |Since 19/12/94 1-2-3 Kid | Adam Bomb | Aldo Montoya | Bart Gunn | Bam Bigelow | Billy Gunn | Bob Holly | Bret Hart | British Bulldog | Bushwhacker Butch | Bushwhacker Luke | Eli Blu | Diesel | Doink the Clown | Duke Droese | Fatu | Hakushi | Henry Godwinn | Irwin R. Terrible ppvs, horrible gimmicks and the WWF was running on Diesel power. Yep that one year long reign. Financially it was just a bad year for the WWF. I've decided to book the year 1995 by improving it. Expect to see monthly In Your House ppvs being added to the ppv schedule following WrestleMania. In my backstory I've made a few changes as Luger and Doink go heel, they were way better as heels. I really wanted to see an Undertaker/Doink feud, so I'm booking it in my btb. Tatanka remains face, his heel run was terrible. Also Kwang would turn face, Nikolai Volkoff would be kicked out of the Corporation and he turns face. I liked The Kama supreme fighting machine gimmick but I've decided to bring Papa Shango back instead, you will soon find out why in this thread. Newcomer Man Mountain Rock will be making his ppv debut at the Rumble. The Women's division has been scrapped as Alundra Blayze & Bull Nakano have been released. Sid will make his WWF return in February. I disliked the 1995 Royal Rumble match, very short Rumble, way too many jobbers. Expect to see a better version of the Rumble match in this thread. The first show will be up soon, have fun reading. |
Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
This looks pretty good, dude. I'd love to book Evil Doink, be so much fun.1995 was a horrid year so be interesting to see how you book it. Could be interesting to see what you do when WCW starts to get traction (if you go down that path anyway) and see who ends up leaving the WWF. Are you keeping the same policy as your last thread? By that, I mean when a Superstar actually left the promotion in real life, you take them out too?

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
:mark: another retro thread.
I really think you have the potential to do well with this time period, it had the roster depth but not quite the booking behind it. You better not make Mable King and you'll be fine :p Nontheless I'll be checking it out, best of luck. |
Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
On Raw, I'm going to have more high profile matches, don't really want to include a lot of star vs jobber matches, may have one on the show. Superstars and Wrestling Challenge will mainly feature superstar vs jobber matches along with some high profile matches.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
![]() The first edition of Monday Night Raw for 1995 kicked off with pre-recorded comments from Double J, Jeff Jarrett with The Roadie. Jeff Jarrett states that tonight Double J is going to become the new Intercontinental champion. The Raw video package plays and Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels welcome us to the show. Vince wishes everyone a Happy New Year. They plug the matches we will be seeing tonight. Razor Ramon (c) vs Jeff Jarrett Jarrett gets a chinlock on Razor, the fans get behind Razor and Razor breaks the hold and hits a back suplex for the 2 count. Razor whips Jarrett into the corner and then runs into a boot and Jarrett hits a clothesline and gets a 2 count. The action goes back and forth with Razor whipping Jarrett hard into the turnbuckle and Razor goes for the Razor's Edge but Jarrett backdrops Razor over the top rope. Jarrett distracts the ref as Roadie gets some cheapshots on Razor. He sends him back in as Jarrett is taking it to Razor. The 123 Kid then came down to the ring to keep an eye on The Roadie. Jarrett went for the figure four and he has it locked in, 123 Kid tries to get the fans behind Razor as Razor makes it to the ropes. Jarrett then uses his quickness to stay in control and then delivers a swinging neckbreaker and gets a 2 count. Jarrett went up top but he wastes time and Razor catches him with a big right hand to the gut. Razor puts Jarrett up on the top turnbuckle and delivers a belly to back suplex. Razor signals for the Razor's Edge but Roadie gets on the apron but The 123 Kid gets him off and hits him with a spinning heel kick. Jarrett then rolls Razor up for an inside cradle and got a 2 count. Razor then blocks a right hand and delivers an atomic drop and Jarrett goes into the ropes and Razor kicks him to the gut. Here we go Razor lifts Jarrett up on his shoulders and drops him with the Razor's Edge. He goes for the pin and gets the 3 count to retain the title. What a match up. Razor and Kid celebrate in the ring as they taunt Jarrett and Roadie who make their way up the entrance way and leave. ![]() Vince McMahon interviews Razor and The 123 Kid outside the ring with Michaels standing beside him. Vince congratulates Razor on his victory and then discusses The Royal Rumble. It's every man for himself at the Rumble and it could very well come down to Razor and The 123 Kid. Razor said he's never competed in the Rumble match, but he's in it to win it. If that means he has to go through The Kid then so be it. The 123 Kid said everyone seems to underestimate him but he's going to cause another upset at the Rumble. He shakes Razor's hand and says may the best man win. Shawn Michaels cuts them off and tells them that they shouldn't be dreaming about winning the Rumble because The Heartbreak Kid is going to win. He tells Razor he needs to focus on his title match next week against Owen Hart because Razor may have got past Double J but he won't be getting past the man who beat him at the King of the Ring last year The Rocket Owen Hart. Vince said we will be hearing from Owen later on via phone. Razor then reminds Shawn of WrestleMania 10 and told Shawn that he hasn't forgotten about King of the Ring and he will avenge his loss against Owen Hart next week. A Royal Rumble Report plays with Todd Pettengill who runs down the card for the Royal Rumble. We hear comments from Jim Cornette with The Heavenly Bodies as The Heavenly Bodies will be defending their tag team titles against The Smoking Gunns. Cornette also states that Yokozuna is coming back as stronger than ever at the Rumble. He's a former Rumble winner and he's going to win the Rumble again. Todd then goes over the list of all 30 participants announced for the Royal Rumble Match. Superstars enter every 90 seconds (NOT DAMN 60 seconds like they did in real life at Royal Rumble 95) Todd says that King Kong Bundy will be one of the big favourites to win the Rumble. ![]() The King's Court Special Guest: Bret Hart ![]() A promo for the Royal Rumble is aired and Pamela Anderson will be there at the Rumble. She's going to escort the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania XI. The British Bulldog and Tatanka vs Lex Luger and Bam Bam Bigelow The action goes back and forth and now Bam Bam is in control of the match against Tatanka after a cheapshot from Luger. Tatanka breaks out of a chinlock and delivers a chop across the head of Bam Bam. Tatanka does his rain dance but Bam Bam stops him with an insiguri and tags Luger. Luger then missed a charge in the corner and Tatanka makes the hot tag to The Bulldog. Bulldog and Luger trade lefts and rights, he sends Luger into the corner and runs into an elbow. Clothesline by Luger and he gets a 2 count. Luger delivers a suplex and gets a near fall. Luger comes off the ropes and Bulldog catches him with a clothesline and then tags Tatanka. Tatanka hits his fallaway slam finisher on Luger but Bam Bam breaks up the pin. All hell breaks loose. Both teams are in the ring brawling and now Bulldog and Bam Bam fighting it outside the ring. Ted Dibiase distracts Tatanka and Luger rolls Tatanka up for the win to win the match. Luger and Bigelow celebrate their win. The Million Dollar Corporation are going to be a strong force at the Rumble. Lex Luger co-won the Rumble last year and this year Lex Luger is one of the favourites to win the Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon states that next week we will see the Raw debut of Hakushi. We've seen him in action on WWF Superstars but next week Hakushi will make his first appearance on Raw. Shawn Michaels said he can't wait to see Hakushi in action next week. Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels then talk to Owen Hart on the phone. Owen said next week he will win the Intercontinental title and then he will go on to defeat The British Bulldog, he's way better than him. Owen states that not only will he throw Razor out, he will also throw The Bulldog out of the Rumble match. Vince brings up the possibility of a WrestleMania 10 rematch at WrestleMania 11 between Bret annd Owen if they end up being victorious at the Rumble? Owen was hoping that his brother Bret wins the WWF title at the Rumble so he can defeat him for the belt at WrestleMania. Then he will be holding two titles. Vince asked Owen is he that confident that he will win the Intercontinental title and Royal Rumble? Owen said he was so proud of himself when he cost Bret the WWF Title at Survivor Series. He will do everything better than his brother did. He beat him at WrestleMania 10. Then just like Bret won a King of the Ring, Owen said he did it better in 1994 by becoming King. As Bret won the Rumble last year, Owen said he's going to do it better by winning the Rumble. Owen hangs up and Shawn said he agreed with Owen being better than Bret but there's only one man who's going to win the Rumble and that's The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. ![]() A vignette is aired for the mighty Yokozuna who will be returning back to action at the Royal Rumble in the 30 man Royal Rumble match. Diesel (c) vs Mr Bob Backlund Diesel then whips Backlund into the turnbuckle and comes charging in but Backlund avoids the charge as Diesel goes face first into the turnbuckle. Backlund sets up for the crossface chickenwing as he gets Diesel by the neck but Diesel's hanging onto the rope as Backlund's trying to pull Diesel off. He's trying to take Diesel down but Diesel uses his power to throw Backlund down. Diesel then nails Backlund with a big boot and signals for the jackknife. Diesel then drops Backlund with the JACKKNIFE and went for the pin and gets the 3 count to retain the title. What a victory for Diesel as he celebrates his win. Diesel then taunts Shawn Michaels by raising the WWF Title in the air. Shawn said the fun and games for Diesel will be coming to an end soon but Vince thinks at this moment the WWF is running on Diesel power. He is the leader of the new WWF generation. A graphic appears on the screen showing that next week on the 2nd anniversary of Raw, Razor Ramon will defend his Intercontinental title against Owen Hart. Will Razor avenge his loss at King of the Ring or will The Rocket become the new Intercontinental Champion? We will find out next week on Monday Night Raw. Vince wishes everyone goodnight as Raw comes to a close. ![]() WWF Superstars | January 7 | 1995 The Heavenly Bodies defeated Men on a Mission Kwang defeated a jobber Aldo Montoya defeated Barry Horowitz The Undertaker defeated Irwin R. Schyster Also on the show, Vince McMahon conducted an Interview with Diesel and Bret Hart. Vince brings up their match at King of the Ring. Vince said Bret hasn't wrestled since losing the title at Survivor Series, he talks about the ring rust. 1994 was the year of The Hitman but Diesel also accomplished a lot that year. Diesel made history by winning the Intercontinental title, tag title and WWF Title in one year, unbelievable. Bret will be back in action on the 2nd anniversary of Raw because he will be teaming with Diesel and they will take on the massive duo of Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy. Bret said he has a lot of respect for Diesel, he's achieved a lot since coming here to the WWF. Bret feels that the way how he lost the title was not the right way. At the Rumble he will give Diesel the match of his life and he will win back the WWF Title. Diesel said a month ago when he wished Bret a speedy recovery, he promised to be a fighting champion like Bret Hart was. Diesel never turns down any challenge and since becoming champion, he's been going non stop while Bret's been recovering. Diesel said he had Bret beat at King of the Ring and Diesel believes that Bret wouldn't have kicked out of the jackknife. This time at the Rumble, he will put Bret out with the jackknife. No one gets up from the jackknife. Diesel states that he's walking in with the gold and walking out with the gold as WWF champion because 1995 is the year of Big Daddy Cool Diesel. Bret said may the best man win. The interview ends with a handshake. WWF Wrestling Challenge | January 8 | 1995 Henry Godwinn defeated a jobber A vignette is aired for Man Mountain Rock who will be making his debut on Superstars next week. Doink the Clown over Duke the Dumpster Droese - During Doink's entrance, the creatures of the night were sitting in the front row. Doink threw a pie at them and started laughing wildly. He will certainly pay for this. Following Doink's match, The Undertaker appeared on the screen and Doink started freaking out. Undertaker said Doink's time of playing fun and games will be over soon. At the Royal Rumble Doink will rest in peace. The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Jerry Lawler Also on the show, Vince McMahon conducted an Interview with The Million Dollar Corporation. Ted Dibiase states that the Corporation will dominate the Royal Rumble and one of his men will win the Rumble. They already have the co-winner of the 1994 Rumble in the Corporation and that's Lex Luger. Luger went on to WrestleMania to compete for the WWF Title. Since Luger joined the Corporation he has yet to be defeated and Dibiase takes credit for not only reviving Luger's career but all the rest of the Corporation members careers. Dibiase said there are big guys like Yokozuna and Mabel who are bigger than King Kong Bundy and Bam Bam but they aren't smarter than them. He states that Bundy and Bam Bam will eliminate Yokozuna and Mabel. No one can stop his Corporation. Dibiase said he's so confident that a Million Dollar Corporation member will win and he will reward him with a huge pay cheque for winning the Rumble. |

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
For this year's Royal Rumble, just like last year superstars enter every 90 seconds. The Model Rick Martel will be returning at the Royal Rumble as a baby face. This year's Royal Rumble is very unpredictable. A couple of big names have emerged as the favourites to win the Rumble match. Yokozuna, Lex Luger, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart. The following stars will be competing in the Royal Rumble match for the first time. Razor Ramon, The 123 Kid, Hakushi, King Kong Bundy, Man Mountain Rock, The Roadie, Henry Godwinn, Duke the Dumpster Droese and Aldo Montoya. |
Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
Oh 1995, this brings back memories. It's going to be difficult for you to book Raw with so many high profile matches each week without repeating yourself or giving away your big PPV matches. You're either going to have to expand the roster or build up some of the mid-card talent.
Are you planning on writing superstars too? I know it was seen as the B show but they did a good job building up the PPV's on that show back in the day. |
Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
1995 is a difficult time period to book, the ppvs of 1995 were terrible but I’ve planned out my ppv cards which improves the match quality. In this thread you will see a better Rumble, WrestleMania, King of the Ring, SummerSlam and so on. The Royal Rumble 95 Rumble match was terrible and hopefully you will enjoy my Royal Rumble show. :) For my tv shows like Raw, most of my high profile matches on Raw won’t end up on ppv. I’ve planned out my ppv cards for the entire year of 1995 so only a few matches that I give away on Raw will end up on a ppv some time in my btb. I’m just writing Raw and ppvs. Superstars and Wrestling Challenge will be posted as quick results but I will include important notes from the shows. After WrestleMania XI, Wrestling Challenge will be pulled off the air so then I will just work on Raw and Superstars. At some point in the near future expect to see more guys on the roster such as Triple H and many more. The next Raw show(final Raw before the Royal Rumble) will be posted soon.
