i certainly am excited for Saturday Night's Main Event. I feel like it should've been back before the WCW Nitro started and that would've gotten WWE more ratings.

you also have to bring the Ultimate Warrior back as well. Let him return at Wrestlemania 11 but not in the Royal Rumble Match.

Yeah I was a big fan of Saturday Night's Main Event. As they introduced the In Your House ppvs in May, I decided to bring back SNME in Feb to build up WrestleMania.

lol no he wasn't in the WWE in 1995, he returned in 1996 so I'm not going to bring him in for the year 1995.

WWF News
Mo of Men on a Mission sustained an injury at a Live Event which rules Mo out of the Royal Rumble. Mo will be replaced by a returning superstar at the Rumble.

WWF Royal Rumble
January 22 | 1995 | Tampa Bay Florida

The show opened with an awesome Royal Rumble intro from Vince McMahon doing the voice over as he introduces the participants and matches for Royal Rumble 1995. Pamela Anderson will be escorting the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania. It’s time for the ROYAL RUMBLE. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. They hype up the matches for tonight. There are three championship matches tonight and what a match up it will be between WWF Champion Diesel and Bret Hart. Then the main attraction of the night is THE ROYAL RUMBLE. It’s everyman for himself and the winner of the Rumble receives a WWF Title Match at WrestleMania XI. Vince mentioned that Mo of Men on a Mission won’t be competing in the Rumble tonight due to an injury sustained at a live event. President Jack Tunney has named a surprise replacement and he will be making his return to the WWF tonight in the Rumble. Jerry Lawler said he can’t wait to find out who will be the surprise entrant. He’s so excited for the Rumble and he can’t wait to see Pamela Anderson.

Intercontinental Title Match
Owen Hart (c) vs The British Bulldog
The British Bulldog’s music hits as we get underway for our first match. The British Bulldog comes down to a great ovation. This is a big night for Davey Boy Smith, The British Bulldog, can he capture the Intercontinental title and then go on to win the Royal Rumble match later on tonight? The Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart then comes down to huge heat. A clip is shown of Owen becoming Intercontinental Champion on the 2nd anniversary of Raw as Owen defeated Razor Ramon to win the title. This is Owen’s first title defense and will Owen’s reign become a short reign or will Owen be victorious in this match, we’re about to find out. Owen taunts The Bulldog and holds up the Intercontinental title. Owen and The British Bulldog stare each other down before the match begins. Owen shoves the Bulldog, Bulldog shoves Owen back and Owen goes down to the mat. Owen gets up and slaps Bulldog in the face. Bulldog tries going after Owen but Owen decides to get behind the ref and gets to the ropes. The ref calms The Bulldog down. They lock up again and trade wrist locks at the start with Owen doing some good kip ups to reverse the hold. Owen sends Bulldog into the ropes and gets a shoulder block and Owen raises his hands in the air and yells whoo. Lock up again and Bulldog sends Owen into the ropes and Bulldog delivers a press slam and follows up with a clothesline sending Owen to the floor. Owen is furious. Look at the power there by The British Bulldog. Now Bulldog taunts Owen to get back in. Owen gets back in and wants a test of strength with The Bulldog but tricks The Bulldog as Owen kicks him to the gut. Owen hits The Bulldog with some forearms and then comes off the ropes, leapfrog by Davey Boy and Bulldog with a big monkey flip and follows up with a dropkick. Owen gets up and a hiptoss by The Bulldog. Bulldog then works on the arm of Owen.

Owen reverses and then he tries a snapmare. Bulldog lifts Owen in the air, look at the power here by Davey Boy and Bulldog drops Owen to the mat with an inverted suplex. Nice action early and the crowd is into it. Bulldog then misses a clothesline and Owen drives a knee to the abdomen of The Bulldog. Owen goes for a reverse chinlock, Bulldog gets back to his feet and breaks the hold and comes off the ropes and hits a clothesline for a 2 count. Now Bulldog applies a chinlock, Owen gets back to his feet but Bulldog has Owen in a side headlock. Owen frees himself and sends Bulldog into the ropes and nails him with a roundhouse kick for a 2 count. Owen looks for the sharpshooter but no he kicks him right into the lower abdomen. Owen hits an inverted atomic drop and then hits some European uppercuts in the corner. Bulldog fights back with some right hands but Owen backdrops Bulldog to the floor. Owen then knocks Bulldog back down with a baseball slide dropkick. Owen posed while Bulldog layed out on the floor. The referee starts counting and Bulldog needs to get back in otherwise he will lose the match and not win the title. Bulldog makes it in by 8. Owen then sends Bulldog hard into the corner. Body slam by Owen and then goes up top and connects with an elbow drop off the top rope and gets a 2 count. Northern light suplex and another near fall. Sleeper hold by Owen trying to wear The Bulldog down but The Bulldog breaks it up with a back suplex. Now both men are down. Both men beginning to get back up as they trade punches, Irish whip by The Bulldog and a body slam on Owen gets a 2 count. Bulldog then delivers a delayed vertical suplex and gets a near fall. Bulldog then hits the corner 10 punch count and Owen rolls out of the ring and teases leaving. If he leaves he will still retain the title but will lose the match. Lawler thinks Owen will have nothing to lose if he leaves at least he will be saving more energy for the Rumble. Owen goes running back in and Bulldog hammers away at Owen with lefts and rights.

Owen gets irish whipped by Bulldog, Bulldog tries a backbody drop but Owen gets a sunset flip and got a near fall. Both men are up at the same time, Owen tries an insiguri, Bulldog grabs Owen’s leg but Owen nails him with the insiguri with the other leg and gets a near fall. Now can Owen capatalise and set the Bulldog up for the sharpshooter and yes Owen’s going for it. Owen has it locked in. The Bulldog could be ready to submit but he makes the ropes. Owen has been the aggressor in this match despite this match going back and forth at times either way. Owen continues to hammer away on the Bulldog and then comes off the ropes and tries a dropkick but Bulldog catapults Owen face first into the turnbuckle. Bulldog then scoops Owen up and delivers the running powerslam. We’re gonna have a new champion, 1, 2 and Owen got his foot on the ropes. Bulldog then lifts Owen in the air with a military press and drops Owen groin first across the top rope. Ouch that’s gotta hurt. Bulldog gives Owen a hard whip into the corner and comes running in and eats boot. Owen goes up on the second rope and hits a Bulldog and gets a 2 count. Lawler laughs and said Owen just hit a Bulldog on The Bulldog. Owen went for a sharpshooter again but Bulldog counters with an inside cradle and gets a 2 count. Owen back up went for the Insiguri but this time The Bulldog sees it coming and ducked. Bulldog tries sending Owen into the corner as Bulldog comes charging in but Owen puts the breaks on but Bulldog catches him. He tries the powerslam but Owen’s hanging onto the ropes by using his momentum and Owen releases the ropes to fall on top of the Bulldog and grabs a handful of tights and pins The Bulldog for the 3 count. What a move by Owen as he retains the title. Jerry Lawler is laughing how Owen just outsmarted The British Bulldog. Owen grabs his Intercontinental title and celebrates outside the ring. Bulldog can’t believe it, Owen celebrates on the entrance aisle and taunts The Bulldog. A great back and forth match to kick off The Royal Rumble and we’ve got plenty of more action here tonight.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart
Match Time: 15:05

Backstage Todd Pettingill interviews Pamela Anderson. Pamela says she’s been getting a lot of calls from the superstars in the WWF. Some even asked her out on a date. Todd asks her who she thinks will win the Rumble, she wasn’t sure who will win but she can’t wait to be down at ringside later on to see the action.

Meanwhile Stephanie Wiand interviewed Owen Hart. Owen was celebrating his win and said 1 down 1 to go, it’s his night tonight, he’s on a roll. Owen vows to win the Rumble.

The Undertaker vs Doink The Clown
Back to Vince and Jerry Lawler at ringside and they discuss the feud between The Undertaker and Doink and that match is coming up next. Doink’s music hits and here comes the evil clown Doink. A few clips are shown of how this all went down. Wait a minute Doink is going underneath the ring, what is Doink up to here? The Undertaker’s music hits and the lights go out. The Undertaker made his entrance and the crowd is going nuts. The lights are back on and Doink gets in the ring and attacks The Undertaker to begin match as the bell rings. Doink wasting no time going after The Undertaker. Doink hits The Undertaker with punches and sends The Undertaker out of the ring with a clothesline but Undertaker landed on his feet on the floor. Doink hits a baseball slide dropkick to knock Undertaker back down. Doink goes for a double axe handle from the apron but gets caught by a big throat thrust by The Undertaker. Undertaker then whipped Doink into the post. Undertaker’s been waiting for a very long time to get his hands on Doink and now Doink’s finally getting what it is coming to him. Doink already in a great deal of trouble here. Undertaker sends Doink back in and choked him in the corner. Undertaker whipped Doink into the corner and then choked him again. Undertaker then walks the rope but Doink shakes the ropes and Undertaker loses his balance and goes down on the mat. Doink starts stomping away at The Undertaker. He drops a few elbow drops on Undertaker and Undertaker kicks out with ease. Back suplex by Doink and Undertaker immediately sat back up and Doink can’t believe it as he’s begging for mercy.

Rake of the eye by Doink. Doink rams Undertaker’s head on the turnbuckle but it has no effect on The Undertaker. He does it again but it still has no effect on The Undertaker so Undertaker grabs Doink and throws him in the corner and tries to get his hands on Doink but Doink rolls out of the ring. Undertaker follows Doink out and stalks Doink. Doink gets back in and when Undertaker’s back in, Doink stomps away on The Undertaker. Right hands by Doink rocking The Undertaker. Doink lifts Undertaker up and crotches him on the ropes sending Undertaker to the floor. Doink sends Undertaker into the steel steps. Doink sends Undertaker back in and then works on Undertaker’s leg and posts Undertaker’s leg on the ring post. Doink then applies his painful submission hold the stump puller but Undertaker manages to escape the hold by grabbing Doink by the throat and Doink lets go off the hold and Doink dropkicks The Undertaker in the face sending Undertaker back down to the mat. Doink goes up top and hits the whoopee cushion. Undertaker is out but Doink’s not going for the cover. Paul Bearer is on the apron as he raises the urn and the ref tells Bearer to get off the apron and Doink gets the urn off Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer is furious and the ref restrains Paul Bearer. The Undertaker sits up, not a wise move by Doink but Doink levels The Undertaker with the urn and gets rid of it as the referee didn’t see it. Doink is laughing wildly. He goes for a pin and Undertaker kicks out and sits up.

Doink then misses a clothesline and Undertaker hits a flying clothesline. Undertaker then hits a chokeslam and then sets up for the tombstone. The end could be near for Doink. Undertaker scoops Doink up and drops him with the tombstone and pins him for the 3 count. It’s over, The Undertaker has defeated Doink. Undertaker is standing tall over Doink and Undertaker turns around and wait a minute what is this. It’s PAPA SHANGO. Shango used his voodoo stick and a flame shoots out and gets Undertaker right in the face. Shango starts hitting Undertaker with the stick. Shango was going to make his return later on in the Rumble match. Now Doink is up and both men assault The Undertaker. Paul Bearer is horrified as he watches Undertaker being beaten down by Shango and Doink. Doink is listening to Shango’s instructions. We all know what Papa Shango is all about and when we saw him a few years ago he was putting curses on several superstars. Could Shango be the reason why Doink has changed, is Shango controlling Doink? Doink and Shango leave to huge heat. Undertaker sits back up and he’s in a great deal of pain. As Undertaker is leaving, the fans give him a standing ovation. He will be competing later on in the Rumble match and Lawler says it would be wise for Undertaker not to even show up in the Rumble match. Vince said If Undertaker ends up in the ring at the same time as Doink and Shango, you can bet that The Undertaker will be looking for revenge.
Winner: The Undertaker
Match Time: 7:31

Up next is the WWF Title Match. Jerry Lawler and Vince discuss the WWF Title match. They show pre-recorded comments from earlier on tonight when Todd Pettingill interviewed WWF Champion Diesel. Diesel said he had Bret beat at King of the Ring but this time Bret won’t be kicking out of the jackknife. We now go to Todd Petingill backstage with the Hitman Bret Hart, Bret said he’s fought a lot of wrestlers bigger than him but the bigger they are the harder they fall. Tonight Diesel’s going down, your looking at the next WWF Champion, The Excellence of Excecution. Bret’s music hits as the Hitman leaves.

WWF Title Match
Diesel (c) vs Bret Hart
Bret Hart comes out to a huge pop, what an ovation for The Hitman. Bret ready to lock up with the 7ft tall Big Daddy Cool Diesel. Bret had that long lay off since Survivor Series and returned to action last week when he teamed with Diesel and then in singles competition on Raw, Bret beat I.R.S. Jerry Lawler says if Bret doesn’t win the title tonight then it’s going to be a long time till he gets a title opportunity again. Bret gives his shades to a fan in the front row. Diesel’s music hits and The WWF Champion Diesel comes down to a great ovation. Diesel has been on an incredible run since becoming champion. Diesel greets Lawrence Taylor down at ringside. LT attending the Rumble tonight and he’s having a lot of fun. Diesel’s big feat was winning all three titles in the same calendar year, no man has done that in the WWF. Very impressive. This man has taken the WWF by storm. The last time we saw these two square off was at King of the Ring and Bret Hart was the WWF Champion and that match ended in a disqualification. Will Diesel be able to put away the Hitman tonight with the jackknife?

Diesel has great momentum coming into this match but for the last 2 years The Hitman has not lost at the Royal Rumble and here we go. Lock up and Bret manages to get a wrist lock on Diesel, Bret sends Diesel into the ropes and Diesel knocks Bret down with a shoulder block. They lock up again and Diesel throws Bret into the corner and delivers repeated back elbows and then tosses Bret down to the mat. Awesome power there by Big Daddy Cool and Bret starting to get frustrated very early into the match. They lock up again and now Bret gets a wrist lock but then grabs Diesel’s leg to send Diesel down on the mat. Diesel gets angry and shoves Bret and both men exchanging punches. Here we go. Diesel sends Bret into the ropes and delivers a body slam but misses an elbow drop. Bret knocks Diesel down with a dropkick and gets a headlock on Diesel. Diesel gets back up to his feet quick and sends Bret into the ropes and hits a big boot for a 2 count. Diesel then runs the ropes and drops his weight across the back of the Hitman. Diesel sends Bret into the turnbuckle and Diesel uses his boot to choke Bret in the corner. Bret then avoids a clothesline and hits a crossbody for a 2 count. Bret then goes to work on Diesel’s leg in the early going. He keeps Diesel down on the mat for a few minutes, dropping a few elbow drops. Spinning toe hold by Bret, lots of pressure being applied here and Bret drops an elbow on the leg but Diesel uses his big boot and kicks Bret on the face to get out of the hold. Diesel uses the ropes to pull himself up. Bret blocks a right hand from Diesel and Bret comes off the ropes and gets caught with a big clothesline from Diesel. The momentum has shifted back in favour of Diesel. Diesel delivers repeated knee lifts in the corner and then follows up with some back elbow strikes. Bret fights back with some right hands, Bret charges into Diesel and Diesel gave him a back body drop over the top rope all the way to the floor.

They end up brawling outside and Diesel sends Bret right into the apron. He sends Bret back in and Diesel starts to work on Bret’s back and delivers a backbreaker. Series of forearms by Diesel, he sends Bret into the corner. Diesel comes charging in, Bret moves and Diesel rams his knee in the corner and now the Hitman goes back to work on Diesel’s knee, elbow to the knee. Bret Hart puts Diesel’s leg on the ropes and jumps on it. Bret Hart went for a figure four leg lock and Diesel quickly made the ropes. Diesel rolls outside the ring so Bret follows with a suicide dive through the ropes. Bret sends Diesel back in. Bret then comes off the ropes but Diesel catches him and delivers a big sidewalk slam but Diesel can’t follow up on the pin very quickly and can only manage a 2 count. Diesel gets some hard shots in to the back of Bret. Diesel with a hard whip into the turnbuckle as he then puts a bearhug on Bret Hart and then Diesel rams Bret into the turnbuckle. Diesel hobbles around the ring and hammers Bret down. Diesel then drops Bret into the corner with Snake Eyes, he tries again but this time Bret Hart counters and sends Diesel into the turnbuckle. The Hitman starts laying in with right hands. Bret clotheslines Diesel over the top rope. Slingshot plancha by The Hitman. Diesel then reverses a whip and sends Bret into the steel steps. Diesel is back in and Bret is now on the apron. Diesel goes for a suplex from the apron, Bret slips out and delivers a german suplex and got a 2 count. Bret goes for a sharpshooter but Diesel’s blocking it so Bret drops an elbow on Diesel. Diesel then reverses a whip and sends Bret into the turnbuckle and comes running in but Bret moves in time to slide out of the ring and pulled Diesel’s legs from the outside as he hits Diesel’s groin into the ring post. Bret back in control again.

Bret hits a snap suplex on Diesel and got a 2 count. Bret went up top and hit a clothesline for another near fall. Bret then did his set up moves for the sharpshooter as Bret hits the elbow drop, backbreaker and then a Russian leg sweep. Just when Bret is about to put the sharpshooter on Diesel. Diesel quickly grabs the ropes. Diesel pulls himself up by using the ropes, Bret comes charging in and Diesel kicks Bret to the gut. He sets up for the jackknife but Hart reverses into a catapault into the turnbuckle. Great counter. Bret does more damage to the bad leg of Diesel as Bret is showing his desperation to win back the title. Bret tries for the Sharpshooter and he has it locked in. Diesel is near the ropes, desperately trying to hang in there and Diesel made the ropes. Diesel’s strength and long reach was a big advantage for him to make the ropes. What a match up this has been. Bret brings Diesel up to his feet but Diesel ends up shoving Bret shoulder first into the ring post. Diesel then wears Bret down and sends Bret crashing spine first into the corner turnbuckle. Diesel then signals for the Jackknife and drops Bret with the Jackknife. That’s it, that’s gotta be it. 1, 2, and Bret gets his foot on the ropes. Now that could have been a difference maker right there. Diesel can’t believe it. Diesel sends Bret into the corner and delivers a corner clothesline, he sends Bret into the other corner and again delivers a corner clothesline. Bret then comes back by playing possum feigning injury and rolls up Diesel for a small package and got a near fall. Both men back up and Diesel then accidently whips Bret into the ref to knock the ref down. He caught the ref to send the ref down but luckily he didn’t knock the ref out cold. Bret ducks a right hand from Diesel and gets an inside cradle but the official slowly gets back up and makes the count and Diesel kicks out at 2. Bret is having words with the official over the count so Diesel gets back up and drivers a knee to the back of Bret as Bret bumps into the ref which sends the referee out of the ring. Diesel tries reviving the ref and sends him back in but the ref is still out cold. Diesel then sends Bret face first into the turnbuckle.

Diesel then sets up for the jackknife but Shawn Michaels sprints out to the ring and assaults Diesel. Michaels then plants Diesel with the super kick and Diesel is out cold. Michaels leaves to huge heat. Bret begins to get up and notices that Diesel is out cold. Bret knows full well he didn’t do the damage to Diesel and someone else must have. The ref slowly begins to recover as Bret is thinking whether to pin Diesel or put the sharpshooter on Diesel but Bret’s having second thoughts and he’s not going to put away Diesel. Bret refuses to accept the win this way. Even the referee is surprised and has words with Bret on why Bret isn’t going for the cover. Jerry Lawler calls Bret an idiot, he’s just made the biggest mistake of his career and that’s going to come back and haunt him. Vince argues with Lawler and said Bret would never want to take a victory like that, it shows how much of a great competitor Bret is. He knows very well he didn’t do the damage to Diesel and if Bret would have just finished Diesel off just like that then it simply wouldn’t be a fair victory for Bret. Most of the fans are cheering Bret on for his sportsmanship as Bret taunts Diesel to get back to his feet as Diesel begins to recover. Diesel is back up and now the fans of Diesel cheering Big Daddy Cool on and now Bret hammers away at Diesel. Bret goes for the corner 10 punch only for Diesel to shove Bret down at the 7 count. Diesel’s still got something left in him. Bret immediately gets up and charges into Diesel and catches him and drops him with a sidewalk slam. Diesel slowly makes the cover as he’s hurt and gets only a 2 count.

Diesel limping in the ring brings Bret back up to his feet. He sends Bret into the ropes and both men knock each other down with a double clothesline. Both men looking completely winded by this point but The Hitman is the first to get up and it is clear why after the damage Shawn Michaels had done to Diesel earlier. Both men exchange right hands, Bret blocks a right hand and then Bret comes off the ropes again but Diesel tries countering with a hiptoss but no Bret counters into a backslide but can’t get Diesel down so Bret uses the turnbuckle to climb up the middle rope to surprise Diesel and flips over on Diesel’s shoulders. Bret’s trying to go for a victory roll, can he get it and yes Bret uses his weight to get a victory roll on Diesel, he’s got the feet hooked, 1, 2, 3. He got him. We’ve got a new WWF Champion. What a move by The Hitman. Simply unbelievable. Bret’s music hits as he celebrates and Diesel can’t believe it. He is distraught, especially after that superkick Diesel took, it just took a lot out of him and then the victory roll just proved too much for Big Daddy Cool to kick out of. Diesel’s bad knee just gave out on him. Diesel is furious and he takes the belt off the referee. What is going on here. Diesel hands the belt over to Bret and what a class act that is from Big Daddy Cool and now the fans are cheering him. The fans give both men a standing ovation. Diesel knows that he was robbed but appreciates that Bret simply did not go for the pin when Shawn hit the superkick but after the superkick Diesel never really recovered. Some day Diesel will get a rematch again because the Hitman will never back down from any challenge. Both men embrace in the ring. Diesel leaves the ring and he’s very angry while Bret continues to celebrate, Bret is now a 3 time WWF Champion.
Winner and new WWF Champion Bret Hart
Match Time 25:18

A promo is aired for the return of Saturday Nights Main Event. Saturday Night’s Main Event returns on February 18.

Backstage we see Mr Fuji along with Yokozuna having some discussion in Japanese with Shinja along with Hakushi. What is this all about. Lawler thinks there could be some sort of alliance being formed here possibly in the Rumble between Yoko and Hakushi, who knows but then again it is every man for himself.

Vince then thinks the reason why Shawn cost Diesel the title is because he doesn’t want no part of Diesel at all. Shawn believes that he will win the Rumble and simply doesn’t want to face Diesel at WrestleMania. Jerry Lawler thinks Shawn is smart, after the way how Diesel treated Shawn, he got what was coming to him.

Backstage Todd Pettingill interviews The Million Dollar Man and Lex Luger. Last year’s co-winner is irate, it seems like he’s got a bad draw. The Million Dollar Man isn't pleased with Lex Luger's number so he notices Crush walking by and calls him over and whispers something in his ear. Todd doesn’t understand what is going on but Ted Dibiase and Luger are shaking hands with Crush as Crush leaves. Now Luger and Dibiase are smiling. Todd asks Dibiase what is this all about? Dibiase tells Todd that’s none of his business but he’s going to give Todd a clue, everybodys got a price for the Million Dollar Man hahahahaha. Lex Luger said he’s going to fulfill his destiny here and that’s to become the WWF Champion at WrestleMania and his goal for the title is going to start tonight by winning the Rumble. Dibiase then states that The Undertaker has been a big thorn in the side of The Million Dollar Corporation and he’s told his Corporation members whoever can eliminate Undertaker from the Rumble gets a $100,000 bonus from The Million Dollar Man. After what went down with The Undertaker, he’s not going to be in great condition to compete in the Rumble so now it makes it easy pickings for his Corporation members to eliminate The Undertaker, hahahahaha.

Tag Team Title Match
The Heavenly Bodies (c) vs The Smoking Gunns
Vince McMahon’s starting to think whether Dibiase bought Crush’s number for Luger. Vince thinks that Dibiase did buy the number because Dibiase’s done this before many years ago at the Rumble. Lawler doesn’t believe McMahon at all and assumes that maybe Crush could be joining The Corporation and Dibiase’s told him to target The Undertaker? The Tag Team Champions The Heavenly Bodies then make their way down to the ring with their manager Jim Cornette. The Smoking Gunns then make their return and the fans are glad to see them back. The Heavenly Bodies jump The Gunns right before the bell and the bell rings as they double team Bart. They send Bart into the ropes, Bart ducks a clothesline and slingshots Billy right into the Heavenly Bodies as he hits a double clothesline. The Gunns then send the tag champs out with a dropkick and now The Gunns take off their jacket and shirts and taunt The Heavenly Bodies. The Gunns are indeed back with a bang. Cornette tries to fire up his team and now Tom Prichard locks up with Billy Gunn. They trade wrist locks until Billy gets a headlock on Prichard and sends him into the ropes, leapfrog by Prichard and Billy gets a bulldog on Prichard. He tags Bart. Bart goes to work on the arm of Prichard, he whips him into the turnbuckle and follows up with a backdrop. Prichards tags Del Ray. Bart and Del Ray exchange blows with Bart getting the upper hand as he works on Del Ray’s arm. The Smoking Gunns on fire here in the early going making quick tags and doing some good double team work. Bart holds onto Del Ray as Billy comes off the top rope with a double axe handle.

Del Ray then made a blind tag to Prichard as Billy sends The Gigolo into the ropes, baseball slide by Del Ray and Prichard hits a bulldog and gets a 2 count. Prichard then sends Billy to the floor and argues with Bart and the ref as Del Ray delivers a moonsault on Billy and sends him back in. The Heavenly Bodies then do some great team work tagging in and out beating down Billy Gunn with ease for a while. Del Ray then misses a splash from the top rope and Billy tags in Bart. Prichard who’s not the legal man gets in to save his partner from trouble but Bart fires away on the tag champs with some left hooks. Billy gets in and The Gunns hit a double Russian legsweep on Prichard. The Gunns then whip The Bodies into each other and hit a double atomic drop, followed by a double clothesline. The ref sends Billy and Prichards back to their corners as Bart and Del Ray hammer away at each other. Bart sends Del Ray into the ropes and Del Ray counters with a float over DDT and gets a 2 count. He tags Prichards and droptoe hold by Del Ray on Bart and Prichards follows up with a legdrop. The beatdown continues as the tag champs exchange tags and then Del Ray nails Bart Gunn with a devastating sidekick and got a 2 count. The Heavenly Bodies isolate Bart in the corner, Billy tries to intervene but the ref stops him, telling him to return to his corner. While the ref’s back is turned, Jim Cornette even gets a cheapshot on Bart.

The Heavenly make frequent tags trying to keep Bart away from tagging his brother Billy. Bart gets sent into the corner and Prichards runs into a boot and Bart delivers a clothesline. Both men are down but that took a great deal out of Bart. Prichards tags in Del Ray as The Gigolo tries to stop Bart from making the tag and Bart tags in Billy Gunn. Billy unloads with some right hands on both The Heavenly Bodies members. Bart gets in and both teams now brawling in the ring. While the ref is trying to send Prichards and Bart back to their corner, Jim Cornette gets in and nails the tennis racket on Billy. He went for the pin, 1, 2 and no 2 ½. Billy kicked out. The Heavenly Bodies then set him up for their finisher as Del Ray went up top for a moonsault but Bart moves his partner out of the way at the last second as Del Ray got his own partner. Cornette got on the apron as The Gunns send Del Ray right into Cornette knocking Cornette off the apron. This is now the chance for The Gunns to finish Del Ray off as they hit The Sidewinder and pinned Del Ray for the 3 count to win the tag team titles. What a victory as The Gunns become tag team champions for the very first time. The Gunns are celebrating their big win and they have returned in style by winning the tag team titles.
Winners and new tag team champions The Smoking Gunns
Match Time: 8:24

We then hear pre-recorded comments made earlier this afternoon involving some of the participants such as The British Bulldog, Jeff Jarrett, The Undertaker, Razor Ramon, Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels and Yokozuna with Mr Fuji.

Back at ringside, Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler then make their Rumble predictions. Vince thinks Lex Luger will win the Royal Rumble. Jerry Lawler thinks Yokozuna is going to win it but he’s also supporting so many other guys in this like Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Everybody is ready for the Rumble. Let’s go down to Fink at ringside.

Main Event: 30 Man Royal Rumble Match

Rick Martel and Lex Luger then exchange lefts and rights with Martel getting the upperhand. Martel off the ropes comes charging in but Luger counters and throws Martel over the top rope to the floor. Luger flexes his muscles and starts posing in the ring.

ELIMINATION #25: Rick Martel eliminated by Lex Luger

We are now down to the final 5 and one of these men(Shawn, Razor, Bulldog, Owen and Luger) will win the Rumble. Jerry Lawler and Vince McMahon can’t believe that Michaels and Ramon are still in this, that’s simply unbelievable. They have taken so much punishment in this match and yet they are still in this. Lex Luger battles it out with The Bulldog while Razor gets beat down by Owen and Michaels. Luger whips Bulldog into the corner and follows up with a clothesline. Luger starts posing. Lex Luger tries to suplex The Bulldog but Bulldog counters into a vertical suplex holding Luger up in the air Bulldog showing that he’s more powerful than Luger as Bulldog decides not to suplex Luger but ends up placing Luger on the top rope and clotheslines Luger out and the crowd goes nuts. Last year’s co-winner Lex Luger is eliminated and we are guaranteed a first time winner. Luger is furious and he has to leave, Luger throwing a tantrum outside the ring.

ELIMINATION #26: Lex Luger eliminated by The British Bulldog

We are now down to the final 4. Razor and Bulldog in one corner and Michaels and Owen in the other corner. Shawn whispers in Owen’s ear talking strategy as Shawn and Razor go at it while Bulldog and Owen hammer away at each other. Michaels ducks a punch from Razor and hits a back suplex. Michaels turns around and Bulldog hits Michaels with a clothesline. Bulldog then hits a vertical suplex on Michaels. Looks like this is going to be the end for Michaels. Bulldog then delivers a press slam and almost eliminates Michaels. Michaels starts stumbling around and he’s on the ropes. Bulldog then clotheslines Michaels over the top rope. Bulldog thinks he’s got rid of Michaels and goes after Owen who is now beating down Razor. Michaels is hanging in there desperately, only one foot of his touched the floor. Michaels manages to get back in and ambushes The Bulldog. Owen hits the insiguri on Razor. Owen and Michaels start double teaming on The Bulldog. Michaels and Owen then throw The British Bulldog over the top rope and The British Bulldog is out. The fans are upset and what a bad night this has been for The Bulldog. Not only did he not win the Intercontinental title, he didn’t win the Rumble. Owen is celebrating in the ring and he’s glad to see The Bulldog out of here.

ELIMINATION #27: The British Bulldog eliminated by Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels

Owen and Michaels then work out a deal to help eliminate Razor as they spend some time double teaming Razor. Razor is very fatigued. Michaels holds Razor as Owen comes off the ropes going for a right hand but heel miscommunication ensues as Razor moves at the last second and Owen accidently hits Michaels sending HBK to the apron. Razor hits Owen with some right hands and then throws Owen into the ropes and Owen bounces off the ropes where Michaels is at, but Michaels getting back up to his feet pulls the ropes down and Owen goes flying over the top rope to the floor. Michaels was trying to get in the ring but he pulled the rope down which eliminated The King of Harts Owen Hart. Owen is not going to do what Bret did last year.

ELIMINATION #28: Owen Hart eliminated by Razor Ramon

Shawn Michaels is back in and now we are down to the final 2 and can you believe it. The first 2 men that started off this match are in there at the end as the final 2 remaining competitors. Pamela Anderson is clapping. What a story unfolding here tonight ladies and gentleman. This is history in the making. Never has this ever happened before at the Royal Rumble. The crowd is on it’s feet here. This is unbelievable, only one of these men will be going to WrestleMania and will face The Hitman Bret Hart. Michaels and Razor have been in this match for almost an hour. Jerry Lawler can’t believe that we are back where we started. Vince said well after the amazing performance both these men have put on, both men deserve to win this and Lawler said like i told you earlier McMahon, we could have 2 repeat winners again. I don’t want to see it because Shawn deserves to win this. Razor and Michaels exchange lefts and rights until Michaels rakes Razor’s eyes. Michaels comes off the ropes and Razor catches him and drops him with the fallaway slam. Razor goes for the Razor’s Edge but Michaels slips out and blasts Razor with the superkick. Now all Shawn has to do is throw Razor out but Michaels taunts Razor and tries mocking him by going for The Razor’s Edge. Oh no not this way, Michaels is going to throw Razor over the top rope by doing Razor’s own move on him. What an insult this would be for the bad guy. Shawn Michaels blows a kiss to Pamela Anderson and said this victory is for her. Michaels goes for the Razor’s Edge but Razor counters and backdrops Michaels to the floor to eliminate Michaels and Razor wins the Rumble. RAZOR RAMON HAS WON THE ROYAL RUMBLE. The crowd is going nuts, what an ovation for Razor.
ELIMINATION #29: Shawn Michaels eliminated by Razor Ramon

Winner of the 1995 Royal Rumble Razor Ramon
Match Time 57:45

Razor Ramon’s music hits as he celebrates in the ring and now he’s joined there in the ring by Pamela Anderson. She will be leading the bad guy to the ring at WrestleMania. Gold pyro shoots in the sky as Razor is standing on the turnbuckle celebrating. Jerry Lawler is irate and the crowd is going nuts here for Razor. What a story here for the bad guy, he lost the Intercontinental title 2 weeks ago but what a fightback for Razor. Now he has a huge opportunity of becoming the WWF Champion. Razor the first man in and the last man standing. Razor will be going on to WrestleMania to face The Hitman Bret Hart for the gold. Vince said this has been one of the greatest Royal Rumble matches ever. History has been made tonight with The Bad Guy Razor Ramon coming out on top as the Royal Rumble winner. Vince thanks the fans for joining us. Razor Ramon did his stomp on the canvas taunt as the show comes to a close.

Well there it is, my version of the 1995 Royal Rumble. I really wanted to go with the first 2 starting and being there at the end idea which they did in real life but i changed it around. Sid signed in January 95 so I had him debut here at the Rumble as a surprise entrant. I had the WWF Title match as the 3rd match on the card because of the HBK run in and later on he would come down as the 2nd entrant of the Rumble. As the WWF Title match was a long match, I wanted to have the tag match in next. I had Razor drop the belt to Owen on Raw so then Razor could move into the main event so now here it is, a Rumble win for Razor Ramon. Writing up a Rumble match was just so tough. Hope you guys enjoyed the show. 1995 was a very bad year for the WWE which started off with a horrible Rumble. So now I've given this Rumble the star power that it needed, plus I got the belt off Diesel so he won't have his year long reign now.

Default Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation

Okay, so I'm going to try and leave you as much feedback as I can for this thread because I feel you've warranted some. Not left any for your Raw entries but hopefully from here on out, permitting I have the time, I'll pop you a bit of feedback.

Royal Rumble Review

Okay, opening as expected with the same video they used in real life, nothing wrong with that at all. Onto the opening match and man, great way to open the show. I'm really hoping you give Owen a chance and use the Intercontinental Championship as a way to establish him as one of the 'main players' like the title did back then with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and others. The match was great, loved the constant back and forth action between the two. Very stiff match too, actually. The ending was good enough, it's what you'd expect from a heel and back in 1995, it actually did generate a lot of heat for the heels. Great opener, not really anything to complain about.

Pamela Anderson Interview - Ew. Hate the woman but, I guess she did bring WrestleMania some Celebrity attention.

Owen interview, is he going to win the Rumble? Hope he at least does well in it.

Undertaker vs. Doink is next. Honestly, I never expected this match to last long at all but, you surprised me and pulled it off well. Evil Doink was such a fun character back in the day and with a bit of luck, you can make him into quite a big heel. Obviously he wont be winning the WWF Championship (or will he? ) but, he can certainly go a long way with the Evil Clown gimmick. The moves Doink were using were believable for him since he was facing the Undertaker and then I got a bit more of a surprise as Doink actually started kicking Undertaker's ass, even hitting the Whoopee Cushon! Nice spot with the Urn and a good comeback from Undertaker, perhaps it was a bit out of no where and killed Doink's momentum but hey ho, that match was quite fun whilst it went on.

SHANGO RETURN! Yeah, as cheesey as some of the characters were back in the late 80's and early 90's, I fricken loved Shango. Pairing him with Evil Doink is also a WIN WIN situation to be fair. Hopefully it's the beginning of a good partnership.

Bret/Diesel Interviews - Not much to say here, both were in character, especially Bret. Decent enough.

Bret vs. Diesel - I've liked what you've done with these two in the build up you had so was looking forward to what you did with them, not expecting Diesel actually to lose, though. Interesting, I liked the mesh of styles from these two. Back then, Diesel was actually good in the ring and I enjoyed a lot of his stuff when he was Champion, even if it was a bit dull. The match was kind of similar to the opener, at least in terms of back and forth action anyway, not necessarily the style of the match. REF BUMP. Now is this where my predicted HBK coms out? Of course it is! Nice interference from Shawn, I gather these two are going to face off at WrestleMania? Bret being the hero and not pinning Diesel? C'mon, what a pussy - take the victory whilst you can! Joking aside, though - it's what you expect from the hero Bret, never taking the low road. Did it cost him though? Nah, even after a Diesel come back. A bit meh on the roll up since Owen did similar in the opener and also a bit meh on Mr. Boring Hero Bret Hart winning the gold, hopefully you can make Bret interesting and give him a bit more character or even a bit of an attitude.

Post match, again, a bit meh on the two embracing and then Diesel leaving angry. I wouldn't imagine an angry man would embrace the man who just beat him for his gold. Maybe a different word to angry? Just my personal preference anyway. All in all, was a good match with a meh result.

Yokozuna & Hakushi, yay? Hate Hakushi so not that interested in the pairing.

Nice segment with DiBiase & Luger though, evident Luger just got a high number drawn for him, possibly 30? Still, my prediction remains Razor to win the match. $100,000 Bonus to Eliminate Taker? Nice.

Tag Title match wasn't bad at all, glad that The Gunns got the titles though. Hopefully The Gunns are going to have a good run with the gold.

Rumble Time - Razor is #1?! Jeesh, hope he still wins! Shawn #2? Great way to start the match to be honest. I'm not going to run down every entrant and how they were eliminated, I'll just provide a brief overview of the Rumble match. Really enjoyable, Razor & Shawn had great showings, kind of disappointed with Owen's part in the match but you can't have everything, right? Bam Bam won the bounty! I forget how many great characters there was back in 1995 for the WWF. Sid & HBK pairing up like they did in real life? I'll take it for now and hope you do something good with them. RAZOR F'N WON! MY PICK!

Overall, the PPV was well written and well presented. I liked the way you wrote the Rumble match, suited the style you write as I wasn't sure how you were going to go about it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next as you've got a whole bunch of storylines just waiting to explode out. Hope this feedback was helpful enough, I'm not used to doing feedback so if it sucks, just flame me for it. Top show

i will be quite honest this was an awesome Royal Rumble, Super shocked to see that Papa Shango returned and went after The Undertaker. Obviously i look for Undertaker to feud with Shango in the near future. And Bret Hart as WWF Champion in 1995 very nice so it looks like it will be Bret's third appearance in the main-event at Wrestlemania 11, Diesel and Shawn i don't see this feud ending until Wrestlemania. Sid good return dominating everybody. Undertaker getting eliminated by Bigelow was a huge surprise to me and the $100,000 bounty for eliminating The Undertaker. It seemed like Dibiase didn't want The Undertaker to headline Wrestlemania i think it's a long time before he gets the WWF Title Shot. But for now i would like to see him feud with Bam Bam Bigelow for now instead of Shango. Razor and Shawn, pretty good stuff having the two start and finish the rumble just like in real life but with new twists. And Yokozuna and Hakushi teaming up at the Rumble can't say i saw that happening, Razor winning the Rumble and him getting a title match, yea, there's a good chance that he becomes WWF Champion at Wrestlemania. They've could've let him become champion either way, but instead they gave him the Intercontinental Championship. i mean sure he was champion four times in that era. But i believe it's time they gave him that gold. All in All pretty good show, can't wait for RAW!

Thanks for the review guys. I’m glad you guys enjoyed the show. In real life since Doink and Kama were on the roster I decided to turn Doink back heel for my btb. I made Doink important again and decided to bring back the Papa Shango gimmick instead of bringing in Kama. May as well have a Doink/Shango tag team. I always wanted to book an Undertaker vs Doink feud. Undertaker’s feud with Doink and Shango won’t last long though since I have other plans for Undertaker at WrestleMania. He will be involved in a better match, I don’t really want to have Undertaker facing guys like Papa Shango or King Kong Bundy at WrestleMania. Would rather have Undertaker involved in a better match against a good worker.

Still welcoming more reviews for the Royal Rumble ppv. For my next Raw show, the build for Saturday Night's Main Event will begin.

WWF News

The Royal Rumble came off very well this year. Razor Ramon had a great year in 1994 and management was extremely high on him. Razor became the 1st man in Royal Rumble history to start the Rumble and go all the way and win.

The Road to WrestleMania continues as our next major event is Saturday Night’s Main Event. Here is what is currently being discussed for the show on February 18:

Diesel and Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels and Sid

The Undertaker vs Papa Shango

Expect to see a WWF Title match for SNME being announced on Raw.

WWF Monday Night Raw | January 23 | 1995

A quick recap is shown from last night’s Royal Rumble. Bret Hart winning the WWF Title and Razor Ramon winning the Royal Rumble. The Raw video package plays and Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. Jerry Lawler is doing commentary with Vince tonight. Lawler seems unhappy because his Rumble prediction didn’t come true and there will be no King’s Court this week. He states that Shawn Michaels won’t be doing commentary anymore because he’s upset that he didn’t win the Rumble but he has big plans for tonight. Vince said the former WWF Champion Diesel Is scheduled to join us via telephone later on.

Match 1
The 123 Kid vs Mr Bob Backlund
The 123 Kid comes down first. The Kid was very impressive last night in the Rumble. Bob Backlund then made his way down. They had a match on Raw 2 months ago which Backlund won. Backlund did not release the chickenwing after his win in that match. Backlund and The 123 Kid lock up and a nice firemans carry take down by Backlund. Backlund starts taunting The Kid. Backlund then gets an armdrag takedown. Backlund then gets a wristlock on The Kid, Kid counters it. Forearm by Backlund as he sends The Kid into the ropes but Kid counters with a hurracarana. The Kid uses his speed to take the early advantage and now The 123 Kid taunts Backlund. They lock up again and Backlund with a drop toe hold, smart move there by Backlund. Backlund sends Kid into the ropes and goes for a hiptoss but Kid lands on his feet and delivers a hip toss. Backlund gets up and comes charging into The Kid but Kid side steps him and Backlund goes into the turnbuckle. Kid with a roll up and Backlund kicks out at 2. Lock up again and Backlund with a knee to the gut then starts working on The 123 Kid’s arm and shoulder to take control. Backlund sends Kid into the ropes, leapfrog by The Kid and Kid knocks Backlund down with a dropkick. Kid starts hitting Backlund with some kicks in the corner. Backlund reverses a whip and sends Kid into the corner and Backlund comes charging in and runs into a boot. Kid goes up top and hits a crossbody but Backlund rolls through and got a 2 count. The Kid then ducks a clothesline and nails Backlund with a spinning heel kick and gets a 2 count.

Lots of back and forth action as The Kid came very close to beating Backlund but Backlund manages to kick out. The Kid taking Backlund to the limit here. Backlund then reverses an irish whip and knocks The Kid down with a reverse elbow. Belly to back suplex by Backlund and gets a near fall. Backlund with a suplex and gets a 2 count. Backlund sends The Kid into the corner and ran into an elbow. The 123 Kid then hits a moonsault off the top rope and gets a near fall. The Kid comes off the ropes and misses a leg drop. Backlund prepares for the crossface chicken wing but Kid counters with an elbow to the face. Kid tries a scoop slam but Backlund slips out and locks in the crossface chicken wing. The Kid trying to hang in there but finally submits. Backlund immediately lets go. Following the match Backlund helps The Kid back up which is quite a suprise to The Kid. Backlund wants to shake The Kid’s hand but Kid doesn’t seem to trust Backlund after what Backlund did to him 2 months ago. Backlund still wants to shake Kid’s hand as Kid has earned his respect taking him to the limit. Kid finally agrees to shake Backlund’s hand and Backlund leaves the ring. Everyone seems to be surprised with Backlund’s change of attitude here. Lawler said he’s crazy, he can change anytime. Who knows next week he can snap again.
Winner: Mr Bob Backlund

Royal Rumble Report with Todd Petingil. Todd recaps what went down last night at the Rumble.

Match 2
Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie defeated Aldo Montoya and Bob Holly
The Roadie made his ppv debut last night as he competed in the Rumble but right now for the first time he will be teaming up with Double J. We’ve never seen Roadie compete in a singles or tag match before but Double J has got him ready. Jarrett and Bob Holly lock up to start the match with Jarrett taking Holly down with an armdrag and Double J starts strutting in the ring. Jarrett gets the upper hand early on but Holly comes back with a dropkick and follows up with a hiptoss. Holly holds onto Jarrett’s arm and tags Aldo as Aldo comes off the top and nails Jarrett with a right hand. Roadie then gets a cheapshot on Aldo and Jarrett tags Roadie. Roadie starts pounding away on Aldo and exchanges quick tags with Jarrett as they double team Aldo. Roadie being very impressive here. Lawler says Double J has got to be impressed with the athletic ability of the Roadie, he learnt everything from Double J.

During the match, Diesel calls in and Diesel promises to get revenge on Shawn Michaels. He’s glad that Shawn didn’t win the Rumble last night. Diesel says he has no idea why Sid tried to save Michaels but for getting in Big Daddy Cool’s way, Sid paid the price. Diesel said once his injury heals up soon he’s coming for Shawn Michaels. Meanwhile Aldo takes a beating from Jarrett and Roadie as they continue to double team Aldo behind the ref’s back as Holly tries to get in but the ref restrains him. Jarrett delivers a suplex and gets a 2 count. Jarrett whips Aldo into the corner and runs into a boot and Aldo nails Jarrett with a clothesline. Both men are down and they make the tags to their partners as Holly fires away with right hands on Roadie. Backbody drop by Holly and a dropkick and gets a near fall. Holly went up top but Jarrett managed to pull Holly off sending Holly crashing to the mat. Roadie then rolls Holly up with a big handful of tights for the win as Jarrett stops Montoya from breaking up the pin. Roadie and Jarrett win the match.
Winners: Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie

Vince McMahon introduces the man who made history last night, the winner of the Royal Rumble, Razor Ramon. The fireworks begin as Razor came out to a huge reaction. Vince congratulates Razor on his victory last night, Razor is heading to WrestleMania. Vince gets Razor’s thoughts on his Rumble victory. Razor competed in the Rumble match for the very first time, he started the Rumble and went all the way and won, unbelievable. Razor said when he lost the Intercontinental title he had one goal and that was to win the Rumble infront of his home fans. It didn’t matter what number he got, he was in it to win it and he delivered. Now the bad guy’s moving on to the bigger picture, he’s talking about the WWF Title. He’s been a 2 time Intercontinental Champion but never the WWF Champion. Razor gets interrupted by Shawn Michaels who comes down. Shawn gets in Razor’s face and Shawn said Razor was undeserving, it was HBK’s moment. He had Razor beat. It was going to be HBK’s night of glory. Everything was going according to his plan and it started by costing Diesel the WWF Title. Shawn said Diesel is so afraid of him that he didn’t have the guts to even show up tonight. Shawn gets angry and tells Razor that he started off the Rumble with Razor and was there till the end. It was going to be a day of celebration tonight for HBK but Michaels claims that Razor just got lucky last night.

Shawn then introduces his new bodyguard Sid. Sid then starts yelling loud on the mic and he’s furious that Diesel eliminated him from the Rumble last night. Shawn then claims that he’s better than Razor. Shawn starts acting tough since Sid has his back. Michaels proposes a tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event with Razor’s WrestleMania title shot on the line. Shawn Michaels and Sid vs Razor and Diesel. Michaels goads Razor and says come on chico, have you got the guts to accept? Razor agrees to the match. Shawn then gets a cheapshot on Razor but Razor fights back with a big right hand. Sid from behind jumps Razor and then assaults Razor. Sid then drops Razor with a powerbomb. The 123 Kid ran down for the save and knocks Shawn down with a round house kick. Sid jumps The Kid and then drops him with a powerbomb. Shawn and Sid stand tall over Razor and The Kid. Shawn and Sid leave to huge heat. Following the break, Vince got a word with Razor and Razor was irate. Razor and The 123 Kid challenge Shawn and Sid to a tag match next week.

Lex Luger is standing backstage and Vince McMahon gets a word with him. Lex Luger is furious because he didn’t win the Rumble despite having the best draw. Luger blames The British Bulldog for ruining his chance to headline WrestleMania. Lex still feels the pain from last year, he was a Rumble winner and came close to winning the title last year but he was robbed. Then he went into the Rumble this year and again he was robbed. Luger said he’s got a great record of knocking people out and he’s made The British Bulldog his next target on his knockout list.

Match 3: WWF Title Match
Bret Hart (c) vs King Kong Bundy
King Kong Bundy first came down with his manager Ted Dibiase. The new WWF Champion Bret Hart then comes out to a great ovation. Bret is a fighting champion and 24 hours after The Rumble, he’s facing the huge King Kong Bundy. They lock up and Bundy shoves Bret down to the mat. Bret gets back up and locks up again with Bundy. Bundy sends Bret to the ropes and Bret ducks a clothesline as Bret tries a crossbody but Bundy catches him and delivers a backbreaker. Bundy then misses an elbow drop and Bret then starts taking it to Bundy with some right hands. Bret tries a clothesline to knock Bundy off his feet but Bundy doesn’t go down. Bret tries again and knocks Bundy down. Bret starts kicking Bundy but Bundy rolls out of the ring. Bundy gets back on the apron as Bret tries to nail him with a right hand, Bundy blocks and hits a headbutt on Bret. Bundy then takes control by wearing Bret down. Bundy hits an elbow and gets a 2 count. Bundy has a chinlock on Bret, the fans get behind Bret as Bret gets back to his feet and fights out of the hold. Bret comes off the ropes and hits a dropkick to knock Bundy down. Bret then starts to go to work on Bundy’s legs. He puts Bundy’s legs on the ropes and jumps on it. Bret then drops an elbow off the second rope and gets a 2 count. Bret tries going for a Russian legsweep but Bundy with a clubbing blow to the back. Bundy puts a bearhug on Bret, Bret tries fighting out of it as he slips out and tries a sunset flip but Bundy keeps his balance and jumps on Bret to get a 2 count only. Bundy whips Bret into the corner and sets up for the avalanche. He comes charging in but Bret moves out the way as Bundy goes face first into the turnbuckle and Bundy falls down to the mat. Bret sets up for the sharpshooter but Dibiase gets on the apron and Bret knocks him down with a right hand. Bret then puts the sharpshooter on Bundy and Bundy submits. Bret retains the title.
Winner: Bret Hart

Following the match Vince McMahon interviewed Bret Hart. Vince congratulated Bret on his win last night and tonight. Bret says he backs down from no challengers, he defeated Diesel last night and another big guy tonight King Kong Bundy. Bret said he has a lot of respect for Diesel and hopes that he comes back to action soon so they can some day square off again. Owen Hart comes out to interrupt. Owen sarcastically congratulates his brother Bret. Owen said last night at the Rumble, he came very close to winning the Rumble. His road to WrestleMania has not stopped just yet because he’s certainly going to headline WrestleMania. Him and Bret have yet to settle their score so Owen challenges Bret to a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the WWF Title. Bret agrees to the match and it’s on. Owen points at Bret and tells him just like he beat Bret at WrestleMania, he’s going to settle this once and for all at Saturday Night’s Main Event by becoming the WWF Champion and then he will have 2 belts around his waist whoo!!! Owen taunts Bret and Raw goes off the air with both brothers holding up their titles.

Undertaker may have won the battle at the Rumble but this is far from over. Doink said when he was hanging out with a fool like Dink, people laughed at him but now the joke is on them because now he has Papa Shango on his side. Doink says he’s changed for the better and Shango is the man who has used his power to make him more sick and demented as ever before. Papa Shango said Undertaker does not possess the power to bring him or Doink down. Shango says he is the most powerful entity in the WWF and together him and Doink are going to make his life a living hell. Doink tells Jim Ross does he want to see how powerful Papa Shango is? Doink points to the video wall where clips are shown of Papa Shango putting curses on superstars in the past. Shango and Doink then laugh wickedly as Shango’s music plays. Suddenly black goo starts coming out from Jim Ross’s hand which freaks Jim Ross out. Doink and Shango laugh wickedly.

WWF News

Bob Backlund’s face turn is set to occur in the next couple of weeks. This week on Raw, Backlund teased a face turn and expect to see him make the full turn soon.

It’s been rumoured that officials are discussing an WWF vs NFL stars battle royal match on the WrestleMania card similar to the one at WrestleMania 2. There is a possibility that this match may not happen but more updates on this over the next couple of weeks.

Rowdy Roddy Piper will be returning to the WWF soon. There is a possibility that Piper may wrestle in a match at WrestleMania. More updates on this soon.
