1995: WWF vs WCW - The Monday Night Wars Begin
WWF 1995: The New Generation

Diesel Power
On November 26, 1994, Big Daddy Cool Diesel won the WWF Title by defeating Bob Backlund. Since then Diesel has become a fighting champion defeating many stars. Now as we head into the year 1995 at the Royal Rumble, The leader of the new WWF Generation Diesel will be defending his title against former WWF Champion Bret The Hitman Hart. Last week on the December 26, 1994 episode of Raw, Diesel humiliated Jerry the King Lawler on the King's Court and then Diesel turned his attention to Shawn Michaels who was doing commentary. Diesel said he's doing a lot better without HBK and Big Daddy Cool is going to be champion for a long time. HBK vows that he will win the Royal Rumble and if Diesel remains champion then HBK will take the title off him. This week on the first edition of Monday Night Raw for 1995, The Excellence of Excecution, Bret the Hitman Hart will be the guest on the King's Court.

The Road to the Royal Rumble continues
The Road to the Royal Rumble is certainly heating up and the crown jewel of the Million Dollar Corporation Lex Luger is one of the odds on favourite to win the Royal Rumble. Last year's co-winner Lex Luger has been on a roll ever since he joined The Million Dollar Corporation at SummerSlam by defeating Tatanka. Then at Survivor Series when The Million Dollar Team faced Tatanka's team, Luger was the sole survivor. Now Luger heads into 1995 and he has set his sights on winning the Royal Rumble again. At the Rumble, former Rumble winner the mighty Yokozuna will also be returning back to action in the Rumble match. Yokozuna will make his return next week to Monday Night Raw on the King's Court. We will also see the return of the voodoo master Papa Shango. Following Survivor Series, Owen Hart continued his feud with The British Bulldog and they will square off at The Royal Rumble.

The new tag team champions The Heavenly Bodies have been on a roll ever since they won the tag team tournament 2 weeks ago when they defeated The Smoking Gunns. The Bodies nailed Bart with Jim Cornette's tennis racket across the neck putting Bart out of action for some time. Bart will be back at The Royal Rumble as the Smoking Gunns will receive their rematch at The Royal Rumble.

Clowning Around
In 1994 Doink the Clown who made kids laugh ended up making kids cry again. It all began when Doink lost a match against Yokozuna in June. Doink was out of action for a month and when he returned, Jerry Lawler started stirring up trouble between Doink and Dink on The King's Court. Lawler thinks Dink has held Doink back, he used to be funny when he made kids cry but when he made kids laugh Doink became a failure. A few weeks later Doink started behaving strangely in matches and then Doink and Dink were again guests on The King's Court. Doink ended up turning on poor Dink and that was the end of Dink. Doink ended up going back to his sadistic ways playing sick pranks on fans and superstars. Following SummerSlam, Doink would progressively become more and more evil. Doink came down to the ring during an Undertaker match and started staring down Paul Bearer. Doink sprays something in Paul Bearer's eyes and starts laughing up the ramp wildly. Over the next few weeks Doink freaks Paul Bearer out at ringside during Undertaker's matches causing The Undertaker to lose some matches via count out. Doink managed to steal the urn off Paul Bearer and put it in a box. Doink even got involved in Undertaker's match at Survivor Series against Yokozuna by appearing in the casket, he tried to use the urn by nailing The Undertaker with it but it backfired as Doink was chased away by Chuck Norris. Paul Bearer now has the urn again. The next night Doink then performs a trick and makes Paul Bearer disappear from a box as Doink laughs wildly.

Over the next few weeks Doink continued to play mind games against The Undertaker. There would be promos of Doink in a circus and Undertaker in the cemetery sending a warning message to Doink. Doink is a guest again on Jerry Lawler's King's Court. Doink gives the reason why he's been messing around with The Undertaker. Doink says Undertaker is a phony, everyone thinks Undertaker can not be hurt, he thinks he's not human and Doink said he enjoyed playing pranks on The Undertaker. He enjoys playing mindgames with The Undertaker. Doink said Undertaker is not the most dangerous man in the WWF because the most dangerous man in the WWF is Doink. Not only is he unpredictable, he can be funny and he can be sadistic. Later that night in an Undertaker match, Doink came down to ringside and played another prank by throwing water in Undertaker's hat. Doink starts laughing wildly. Undertaker got counted out as he went after Doink who managed to escape.

The following week Doink again interferes during an Undertaker match but Undertaker manages to get his hands on Doink. Undertaker tries to pull Doink's mask off until a second Doink appears and saves Doink. The two Doinks assaulted The Undertaker. Jerry Lawler who is on commentary calls it an illusion. The following week President Jack Tunney told Doink that last year he made a ruling that there will only be one Doink. He warned Doink if he sees another Doink in the WWF then Doink will be suspended. He also announced that Doink will face The Undertaker at The Royal Rumble. Later on during a Doink match, Paul Bearer made his return as he was reunited with The Undertaker. Doink was so stunned and the lights went out and The Undertaker was right behind him. Undertaker dropped Doink with a tombstone and said at The Royal Rumble, Doink will Rest In Peace. Last week on Raw, Doink vows that he will get revenge on The Undertaker. He will show The Undertaker the real dark side. Both men excel in playing mind games and what a showdown this will be at The Rumble.

TV Shows
WWF Mania has been cancelled and The Action Zone is a highlights show recapping Raw, Superstars and Challenge. Only one tv show will be written out which will be Raw. The other shows (Superstars and Wrestling Challenge) will be posted as quick results and if needed I will mention the important notes from the shows. PPVs will be in full detail.

I'm back with a new btb. 1995 was one of the worst years in WWF history. Terrible ppvs, horrible gimmicks and the WWF was running on Diesel power. Yep that one year long reign. Financially it was just a bad year for the WWF. I've decided to book the year 1995 by improving it. Expect to see monthly In Your House ppvs being added to the ppv schedule following WrestleMania. In my backstory I've made a few changes as Luger and Doink go heel, they were way better as heels. I really wanted to see an Undertaker/Doink feud, so I'm booking it in my btb. Tatanka remains face, his heel run was terrible. Also Kwang would turn face, Nikolai Volkoff would be kicked out of the Corporation and he turns face. I liked The Kama supreme fighting machine gimmick but I've decided to bring Papa Shango back instead, you will soon find out why in this thread. Newcomer Man Mountain Rock will be making his ppv debut at the Rumble. The Women's division has been scrapped as Alundra Blayze & Bull Nakano have been released. Sid will make his WWF return in February. I disliked the 1995 Royal Rumble match, very short Rumble, way too many jobbers. Expect to see a better version of the Rumble match in this thread. The first show will be up soon, have fun reading.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
This looks pretty good, dude. I'd love to book Evil Doink, be so much fun.1995 was a horrid year so be interesting to see how you book it. Could be interesting to see what you do when WCW starts to get traction (if you go down that path anyway) and see who ends up leaving the WWF. Are you keeping the same policy as your last thread? By that, I mean when a Superstar actually left the promotion in real life, you take them out too?

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
:mark: another retro thread.

I really think you have the potential to do well with this time period, it had the roster depth but not quite the booking behind it. You better not make Mable King and you'll be fine :p

Nontheless I'll be checking it out, best of luck.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
On Raw, I'm going to have more high profile matches, don't really want to include a lot of star vs jobber matches, may have one on the show. Superstars and Wrestling Challenge will mainly feature superstar vs jobber matches along with some high profile matches.

Yeah I'm keeping the same policy. Most of the top guys remained in the company, not many departures in 1995 so I'll still have most of all the top guys. Bret, Diesel, Shawn, Undertaker, Owen, Razor, Bulldog, Yokozuna, Sid and so on. Lex Luger left after SummerSlam 95 so I'll book him better than he was actually booked in real life in 1995. I'll also be bringing in Sycho Sid soon. At some point in the near future expect to see guys like Triple H, Goldust, Marty Jannetty, Jean Pierre Lefite, Ahmed Johnson, Skip, Dean Douglas etc on the roster.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
WWF Monday Night Raw | January 2 | 1995

The first edition of Monday Night Raw for 1995 kicked off with pre-recorded comments from Double J, Jeff Jarrett with The Roadie. Jeff Jarrett states that tonight Double J is going to become the new Intercontinental champion. The Raw video package plays and Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels welcome us to the show. Vince wishes everyone a Happy New Year. They plug the matches we will be seeing tonight.

Match 1: Intercontinental Title Match
Razor Ramon (c) vs Jeff Jarrett
Jeff Jarrett's music hits as he comes down to the ring with The Roadie. What a great opportunity this is for Jarrett as he could become the Intercontinental champion tonight. Razor Ramon's music hits and this place is going crazy. Vince: "This place is oozing machismo." Shawn said he got a bigger ovation than Razor which is a complete lie. Vince reminds Shawn that Razor defeated him at WrestleMania 10 in the ladder match. HBK said he certainly hasn't forgotten that and he vows to throw Razor over the top rope at the Rumble. Vince states that Owen Hart will be facing the winner of this match next week on Raw. Jarrett immediately jumps Razor before the bell and Razor reverses a whip and nails Jarrett with a big right hand and follows up with a clothesline sending Jarrett all the way to the floor. Razor does his taunt and The Bad Guy means business tonight on Raw. The fans start a Razor chant. Nobodys got a punch like The Bad Guy Razor Ramon. Roadie checks on Jarrett as Jarrett gets back in the ring. The bell finally rings and what a match this should be. They lock up and Razor gets a wristlock on Jarrett, Jarrett reverses and then gets an armdrag on Razor. Jarrett starts strutting in the ring. They lock up again and Razor whips Jarrett off the ropes, baseball slide by Jarrett and Jarrett starts pointing at his head thinking that he's outsmarted Razor but Razor levels Jarrett with a big right hand and follows up with a back body drop. Jarrett then ducks a clothesline and comes off the ropes and Razor catches him and drops him with a fallaway slam. Jarrett slides out of the ring and gets back in again. They lock up and Jarrett with a knee to the gut on Razor sends Razor into the ropes and hits a dropkick and gets a 2 count. Jarrett then starts taking control of the match wearing Razor down.

Jarrett gets a chinlock on Razor, the fans get behind Razor and Razor breaks the hold and hits a back suplex for the 2 count. Razor whips Jarrett into the corner and then runs into a boot and Jarrett hits a clothesline and gets a 2 count. The action goes back and forth with Razor whipping Jarrett hard into the turnbuckle and Razor goes for the Razor's Edge but Jarrett backdrops Razor over the top rope. Jarrett distracts the ref as Roadie gets some cheapshots on Razor. He sends him back in as Jarrett is taking it to Razor. The 123 Kid then came down to the ring to keep an eye on The Roadie. Jarrett went for the figure four and he has it locked in, 123 Kid tries to get the fans behind Razor as Razor makes it to the ropes. Jarrett then uses his quickness to stay in control and then delivers a swinging neckbreaker and gets a 2 count. Jarrett went up top but he wastes time and Razor catches him with a big right hand to the gut. Razor puts Jarrett up on the top turnbuckle and delivers a belly to back suplex. Razor signals for the Razor's Edge but Roadie gets on the apron but The 123 Kid gets him off and hits him with a spinning heel kick. Jarrett then rolls Razor up for an inside cradle and got a 2 count. Razor then blocks a right hand and delivers an atomic drop and Jarrett goes into the ropes and Razor kicks him to the gut. Here we go Razor lifts Jarrett up on his shoulders and drops him with the Razor's Edge. He goes for the pin and gets the 3 count to retain the title. What a match up. Razor and Kid celebrate in the ring as they taunt Jarrett and Roadie who make their way up the entrance way and leave.
Winner: Razor Ramon

Vince McMahon interviews Razor and The 123 Kid outside the ring with Michaels standing beside him. Vince congratulates Razor on his victory and then discusses The Royal Rumble. It's every man for himself at the Rumble and it could very well come down to Razor and The 123 Kid. Razor said he's never competed in the Rumble match, but he's in it to win it. If that means he has to go through The Kid then so be it. The 123 Kid said everyone seems to underestimate him but he's going to cause another upset at the Rumble. He shakes Razor's hand and says may the best man win. Shawn Michaels cuts them off and tells them that they shouldn't be dreaming about winning the Rumble because The Heartbreak Kid is going to win. He tells Razor he needs to focus on his title match next week against Owen Hart because Razor may have got past Double J but he won't be getting past the man who beat him at the King of the Ring last year The Rocket Owen Hart. Vince said we will be hearing from Owen later on via phone. Razor then reminds Shawn of WrestleMania 10 and told Shawn that he hasn't forgotten about King of the Ring and he will avenge his loss against Owen Hart next week.

A Royal Rumble Report plays with Todd Pettengill who runs down the card for the Royal Rumble. We hear comments from Jim Cornette with The Heavenly Bodies as The Heavenly Bodies will be defending their tag team titles against The Smoking Gunns. Cornette also states that Yokozuna is coming back as stronger than ever at the Rumble. He's a former Rumble winner and he's going to win the Rumble again. Todd then goes over the list of all 30 participants announced for the Royal Rumble Match. Superstars enter every 90 seconds (NOT DAMN 60 seconds like they did in real life at Royal Rumble 95) Todd says that King Kong Bundy will be one of the big favourites to win the Rumble.

The King's Court
Special Guest: Bret Hart
Jerry Lawler is standing in the ring with the King’s Court set up. Lawler's running his mouth, running down the fans. Lawler states that next week Yokozuna will return to Raw and he will be the guest on the King's Court. Lawler then introduces his guest Bret Hart. Bret comes down to a great ovation. Lawler said last week he was insulted by Diesel and hoped that Bret has some decency to show some respect to The King. Lawler started mocking Bret Hart. Lawler brings up Bret's match at King of the Ring 94 and states that Bret got lucky by retaining the belt by disqualification. Lawler believes that Bret would have never kicked out of the jackknife. Lawler says if Bret loses to Diesel at the Rumble then it will be a long time till Bret receives a shot again. Lawler said guys like Bret and Diesel don't epitomise the new Generation. Everyone knows that Shawn Michaels is the real leader of the new generation. HBK on commentary said that's exactly right. His New Year's resolution is to win the Royal Rumble and win the WWF Title at WrestleMania. It doesn't matter to him who wins the WWF Title match at the Rumble because 1995 is HBK's year. HBK will win the Rumble and then Pamela Anderson will be escorting him down the aisle at WrestleMania and then HBK will walk out of WrestleMania as the new WWF Champion. Lawler hoped that Bret and Diesel tear each other apart. Bret tells Lawler to shut his mouth. Bret said Diesel is big, he's strong and he's got nothing but respect for him. He's been in the ring with many big guys before but Diesel has to be one of his most toughest opponents he's ever faced. This time Bret says we will have a winner and you're looking at him. He will give Diesel the match of his life. Bret said at the Rumble, he will become champion for a 3rd time because he is the best there is, the best there was and the best...Lawler cuts him off and told Bret that interview time is over. Bret takes the mic off him and starts a "Burger King Chant!!!" Lawler goes for a right hand, Bret blocks and knocks Lawler down with a right hand. Bret then throws Lawler over the top rope. Bret's music hits and Bret puts Lawler's crown on and does exactly the same thing which Diesel did last week by sitting on the throne.

A promo for the Royal Rumble is aired and Pamela Anderson will be there at the Rumble. She's going to escort the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania XI.

Match 2
The British Bulldog and Tatanka vs Lex Luger and Bam Bam Bigelow
The British Bulldog's music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Now here comes his partner for tonight, The Native American Tatanka. The Million Dollar Corporation members Bam Bam Bigelow and Lex Luger then came down with their manager The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. The match begins with Tatanka and Luger starting it off. Tatanka certainly hasn't forgotten about SummerSlam when Luger the sell out betrayed him and joined the Million Dollar Corporation. Tatanka gets the early upper hand by taking it to Luger but then Luger came back with a clothesline. He tags Bam Bam. Luger holds Tatanka and Bam Bam hammers away at Tatanka. Bam Bam comes off the ropes and Tatanka gets a hiptoss on Bam Bam and then tags The British Bulldog. Bulldog and Bam Bam lock up and Bam Bam with a knee to the gut sends Bulldog into the ropes and a shoulder block by Bam Bam. Bigelow misses a corner charge and then Bulldog delivers a bodyslam, now that's impressive. He follows up with a suplex and got a 2 count. Awesome power there from The Bulldog on the huge Bam Bam. Bulldog then tries a powerslam but Bigelow falls on top of him and got a 2 count. Bigelow then takes it to The Bulldog and then tags Luger. What a power match this would be between Bulldog and Luger. Luger starts taking it to The Bulldog, Luger comes off the ropes but gets caught by a clothesline from The Bulldog.

The action goes back and forth and now Bam Bam is in control of the match against Tatanka after a cheapshot from Luger. Tatanka breaks out of a chinlock and delivers a chop across the head of Bam Bam. Tatanka does his rain dance but Bam Bam stops him with an insiguri and tags Luger. Luger then missed a charge in the corner and Tatanka makes the hot tag to The Bulldog. Bulldog and Luger trade lefts and rights, he sends Luger into the corner and runs into an elbow. Clothesline by Luger and he gets a 2 count. Luger delivers a suplex and gets a near fall. Luger comes off the ropes and Bulldog catches him with a clothesline and then tags Tatanka. Tatanka hits his fallaway slam finisher on Luger but Bam Bam breaks up the pin. All hell breaks loose. Both teams are in the ring brawling and now Bulldog and Bam Bam fighting it outside the ring. Ted Dibiase distracts Tatanka and Luger rolls Tatanka up for the win to win the match. Luger and Bigelow celebrate their win. The Million Dollar Corporation are going to be a strong force at the Rumble. Lex Luger co-won the Rumble last year and this year Lex Luger is one of the favourites to win the Royal Rumble.
Winners: Lex Luger and Bam Bam Bigelow

Vince McMahon states that next week we will see the Raw debut of Hakushi. We've seen him in action on WWF Superstars but next week Hakushi will make his first appearance on Raw. Shawn Michaels said he can't wait to see Hakushi in action next week. Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels then talk to Owen Hart on the phone. Owen said next week he will win the Intercontinental title and then he will go on to defeat The British Bulldog, he's way better than him. Owen states that not only will he throw Razor out, he will also throw The Bulldog out of the Rumble match. Vince brings up the possibility of a WrestleMania 10 rematch at WrestleMania 11 between Bret annd Owen if they end up being victorious at the Rumble? Owen was hoping that his brother Bret wins the WWF title at the Rumble so he can defeat him for the belt at WrestleMania. Then he will be holding two titles. Vince asked Owen is he that confident that he will win the Intercontinental title and Royal Rumble? Owen said he was so proud of himself when he cost Bret the WWF Title at Survivor Series. He will do everything better than his brother did. He beat him at WrestleMania 10. Then just like Bret won a King of the Ring, Owen said he did it better in 1994 by becoming King. As Bret won the Rumble last year, Owen said he's going to do it better by winning the Rumble. Owen hangs up and Shawn said he agreed with Owen being better than Bret but there's only one man who's going to win the Rumble and that's The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels.

A vignette is aired for the mighty Yokozuna who will be returning back to action at the Royal Rumble in the 30 man Royal Rumble match.

Match 3: WWF Title Match
Diesel (c) vs Mr Bob Backlund
Mr Bob Backlund makes his way down to the ring. Backlund is getting his rematch for the WWF Title. Will Bob Backlund win back the WWF title tonight? Diesel then comes out to a great ovation and Shawn Michaels doesn't like this at all. Backlund definetely won't be making the same mistake as he did the last time he met Diesel as that match ended in 8 seconds and Diesel became the WWF Champion. Backlund believes no one can escape the crossface chickenwing. The bell rings and Backlund with a knee to the gut gets a wristlock on Diesel. Diesel escapes the hold and sends Backlund into the ropes and hits a clothesline. Diesel takes it to Backlund in the early going until Backlund avoids a charge as Diesel goes shoulder first into the post. Backlund wears Diesel down and sends Diesel into the turnbuckle and delivers a suplex and got a 2 count. Backlund tries to get the crossface chickenwing on Diesel but can't quite get it on as Diesel quickly gets to the ropes. He didn't lock it in and if he did then we could have seen a new WWF Champion. Diesel then reverses a whip and delivers a big sidewalk slam and got a 2 count. Diesel then puts Backlund on the ropes and comes running in and jumps right on Backlund's back. Elbow drop Diesel and a kickout at 2 by Backlund. Diesel signals for the jackknife but Backlund quickly gets away from Diesel and rolls out of the ring. Diesel tries going after Backlund but Backlund gets back in and stomps away at Diesel. He gets an armbar on Diesel. Diesel gets back up on his feet and sends Backlund into the ropes and delivers a back body drop. Diesel starts pummeling Backlund in the corner.

Diesel then whips Backlund into the turnbuckle and comes charging in but Backlund avoids the charge as Diesel goes face first into the turnbuckle. Backlund sets up for the crossface chickenwing as he gets Diesel by the neck but Diesel's hanging onto the rope as Backlund's trying to pull Diesel off. He's trying to take Diesel down but Diesel uses his power to throw Backlund down. Diesel then nails Backlund with a big boot and signals for the jackknife. Diesel then drops Backlund with the JACKKNIFE and went for the pin and gets the 3 count to retain the title. What a victory for Diesel as he celebrates his win. Diesel then taunts Shawn Michaels by raising the WWF Title in the air. Shawn said the fun and games for Diesel will be coming to an end soon but Vince thinks at this moment the WWF is running on Diesel power. He is the leader of the new WWF generation. A graphic appears on the screen showing that next week on the 2nd anniversary of Raw, Razor Ramon will defend his Intercontinental title against Owen Hart. Will Razor avenge his loss at King of the Ring or will The Rocket become the new Intercontinental Champion? We will find out next week on Monday Night Raw. Vince wishes everyone goodnight as Raw comes to a close.

Also on the show, Vince McMahon conducted an Interview with Diesel and Bret Hart. Vince brings up their match at King of the Ring. Vince said Bret hasn't wrestled since losing the title at Survivor Series, he talks about the ring rust. 1994 was the year of The Hitman but Diesel also accomplished a lot that year. Diesel made history by winning the Intercontinental title, tag title and WWF Title in one year, unbelievable. Bret will be back in action on the 2nd anniversary of Raw because he will be teaming with Diesel and they will take on the massive duo of Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy. Bret said he has a lot of respect for Diesel, he's achieved a lot since coming here to the WWF. Bret feels that the way how he lost the title was not the right way. At the Rumble he will give Diesel the match of his life and he will win back the WWF Title. Diesel said a month ago when he wished Bret a speedy recovery, he promised to be a fighting champion like Bret Hart was. Diesel never turns down any challenge and since becoming champion, he's been going non stop while Bret's been recovering. Diesel said he had Bret beat at King of the Ring and Diesel believes that Bret wouldn't have kicked out of the jackknife. This time at the Rumble, he will put Bret out with the jackknife. No one gets up from the jackknife. Diesel states that he's walking in with the gold and walking out with the gold as WWF champion because 1995 is the year of Big Daddy Cool Diesel. Bret said may the best man win. The interview ends with a handshake.

He will certainly pay for this. Following Doink's match, The Undertaker appeared on the screen and Doink started freaking out. Undertaker said Doink's time of playing fun and games will be over soon. At the Royal Rumble Doink will rest in peace.

The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Jerry Lawler

Also on the show, Vince McMahon conducted an Interview with The Million Dollar Corporation. Ted Dibiase states that the Corporation will dominate the Royal Rumble and one of his men will win the Rumble. They already have the co-winner of the 1994 Rumble in the Corporation and that's Lex Luger. Luger went on to WrestleMania to compete for the WWF Title. Since Luger joined the Corporation he has yet to be defeated and Dibiase takes credit for not only reviving Luger's career but all the rest of the Corporation members careers. Dibiase said there are big guys like Yokozuna and Mabel who are bigger than King Kong Bundy and Bam Bam but they aren't smarter than them. He states that Bundy and Bam Bam will eliminate Yokozuna and Mabel. No one can stop his Corporation. Dibiase said he's so confident that a Million Dollar Corporation member will win and he will reward him with a huge pay cheque for winning the Rumble.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
WWF Monday Night Raw | January 9 | 1995

The 2nd anniversary of Monday Night Raw for 1995 kicked off with a clip from the first Monday Night Raw show. The Raw video package plays as Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels welcomed us to the show.

Match 1: Intercontinental Title Match
Razor Ramon (c) vs Owen Hart
Razor Ramon's music hits and here comes the bad guy on his way to defend the Intercontinental Title. Razor comes out to a great ovation. Razor has his chance now to avenge his loss to Owen Hart at King of the Ring. Owen Hart's music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Owen has never won gold here in the WWF and could tonight be his night? Will 1995 be the year of the King of Harts Owen Hart. They have a staredown and Owen slaps Razor right in the face and yells out whooo!!!! Razor then nails Owen with a devastating right hand and clotheslines Owen over the top rope. Razor does his taunt and The Bad Guy means business tonight on Raw. The fans start a Razor chant. What a match this should be and here we go as Owen gets back in and the bell rings. They lock up and trade wrist locks, Owen uses his quickness and takes Razor down but Razor manages to outsmart Owen and works on Owen's arm. Owen kips up and then work's on Razor's arm, Razor reverses a whip and delivers a backbody drop. Razor then starts taking it to Owen and then levels him with a clothesline and Owen kicks out at 2. It's all Razor here in the early going.

Razor whips Owen into the ropes and goes for a back body drop but Owen this time lands on his feet and hits a neckbreaker on Ramon and gets a 2 count. Owen then takes control. Owen starts stomping away at Razor in the corner and Owen whips Razor hard into the turnbuckle and follows up with an insiguri and Razor kicks out at 2. Razor then comes back when Owen bounces off the ropes and Razor catches him with a fallaway slam. Razor signals for the Razor's Edge but Owen backdrops him over the top rope. The ref starts counting and Owen then hits a dive through the ropes on Razor. Owen sends him back in quick because he won't be able to win the belt by count out. Owen goes right up top and lands a great missile dropkick on Ramon and gets a 2 count. Owen connects with a northern lights suplex and Ramon quicks out at 2. Owen gets a chinlock on Razor, the fans get behind Razor as Razor gets up and breaks the hold. Razor comes off the ropes but Owen lands a spinning heel kick and gets another near fall. What a match up.

The action goes back and forth as Razor got the upper hand again until Owen came back again and took control. Owen worked on Razor's leg and then tries a sharpshooter but Razor rolls him up for an inside cradle and got a 2 count. Owen got back up and gets a sleeper hold on Razor. Listen to the fans getting behind Razor, trying to build momentum for Razor and Razor breaks the hold and drops Owen with a back suplex as both men are down. Both men get back up and trade lefts and rights, Owen ducks a right hand and hits a back suplex. Owen goes up top but Razor is back up and crotches Owen on the ropes. Razor puts Owen up on the top turnbuckle and delivers a belly to back suplex. Razor then sets up for the Razor's Edge but wait a minute The Roadie runs down to the ring for a distraction. Razor nails Roadie with a right hand and starts pummeling him outside the ring while Owen distracts the ref. Double J, Jeff Jarrett runs down and gets a chopblock on Razor. Jarrett then sends Razor into the steel post. He sends Razor back in and Owen puts the sharpshooter on Razor, Razor isn't giving up but passes out from the pain and the referee rings the bell. He awards the match to Owen and we have a new champion.
Winner and New Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart

Owen Hart wins the Intercontinental title thanks to interference from Double J and The Roaddie. Owen is celebrating his win. Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon get a word with Owen at ringside. Vince McMahon can't believe it and said how can Owen call that a victory. This is the second time he's defeated Razor by cheating. Owen tells Vince to shut up. This is the greatest night of his life and now his next goal is to win the Royal Rumble. Shawn says what a way for the 2nd anniversary of Monday Night Raw to kick off with a title change.

Royal Rumble Report w/Todd Pettingill: Todd Pettingill runs down the card for the Royal Rumble match including the participants for the Rumble match. We hear pre-recorded comments from some of the participants competing in the Royal Rumble match which includes The British Bulldog and Mr Bob Backlund.

Match 2
Hakushi vs Matt Hardy
Here comes Hakushi along with his manager Shinja. Hakushi who made his Superstars debut a few weeks ago, is making his Raw debut. Hakushi wastes no time by going right after Hardy. He excecutes some tremendous quick moves like backflips, handspring elbow, springboard splash. Hakushi then bounces Hardy's head into the corner and chops away at Hardy. Hakushi then ran into an elbow from Hardy, Hardy bounces off the ropes but ran into a devastating sidekick from Hakushi. Hakushi then hits a springboard moonsault and pins Hardy for the 3 count. Now that was impressive. Michaels was so impressed and said this guy moves more quicker than The 123 Kid. Infact this guy is almost as good as HBK. Michaels tips Hakushi to become a big star here in the WWF. A very impressive win for Hakushi and he will be competing in the Royal Rumble match.
Winner: Hakushi

A vignette is aired for Papa Shango and he will be making his return at the Royal Rumble.

The King's Court
Special Guests: Yokozuna, Mr Fuji and Jim Cornette
Jerry Lawler is in the ring and he's running down the fans. Lawler said over the past 2 weeks he's had guys like Diesel and Bret Hart on the King's Court but they have no class. His guest tonight is someone special. He's making his return to action at the Royal Rumble but he's here tonight. Here he is former WWF Champion, former Rumble winner and the next Royal Rumble winner YOKOZUNA. Yokozuna made his way down to the ring with Mr Fuji and Jim Cornette. Vince: "Oh my goodness." Yokozuna is bigger than ever and the last time we saw Yokozuna was at the Survivor Series when he lost the casket match against The Undertaker. Lawler said Yokozuna is even bigger than before, he is so dangerous. Lawler predicts that Yokozuna is going to win the Rumble. He refers back to the 1993 Rumble, it took so many guys to elimimate Yokozuna but they couldn't get the job done and now that Yokozuna is even bigger, no one stands a chance. Mr Fuji has a smile on his face and waves the Japanese flag. Jim Cornette said that's right, Yokozuna has headlined the last 2 WrestleManias and it will be a 3rd time lucky charm for Yokozuna. He has a perfect record at the Royal Rumble because he has never lost at this event. No one has made a quicker impact in the WWF than Yokozuna. In his first 3 months in the WWF, Yokozuna won the Royal Rumble 1993. Then he became champion at WrestleMania. At Royal Rumble 1994, Yokozuna was successful again by retaining his WWF Title. He's faced Bret Hart at WrestleMania 9 and 10 and there is a good chance we could see this for a 3rd time if Bret gets past Diesel. Yokozuna will destroy him again. Now if Diesel wins, we could see Diesel getting crushed by Yoko at WrestleMania. Vince said what a match up that will be if Yokozuna and Diesel were to face each other at WrestleMania. Jim Cornette said Yokozuna is more aggresive than ever. This man has terminated a lot of careers. Anyone that comes in his way at the Rumble he's going to throw them out. Yokozuna means business. Yokozuna yells BANZAI!!!! Vince said Yokozuna is indeed one of the odds on favourites to win it, who would be able to throw out this bohemoth? Vince says Shawn Michaels could be one of the men Yokozuna throws over the top rope. Shawn Michaels said that's simply not going to happen because HBK is the most smartest man in the Rumble and he's going to win it.

Match 3
Diesel and Bret Hart vs Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy
The Million Dollar Corporation members Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy came out first with their manager Ted Dibiase. Bret Hart then came down to a great ovation. This is Bret's first match back since The Survivor Series. Michaels talked about the ring rust as Bret hasn't competed in a while. He believes that Bret and Diesel stand no chance tonight against the huge combination of Bigelow and Bundy. Michaels thinks Bret and Diesel won't be able to co-exist tonight. The WWF Champion Diesel then came out to a great ovation. The match began with Bam Bam and Bret starting it off with Bam Bam taking it to Bret in the early going until Bret ducked a clothesline and took Bigelow down with a dropkick. Diesel and Bret then exchange tags working well as a team. Bret was back in the ring and then Bam Bam reversed a whip and delivers a backdrop. He tags King Kong Bundy and Bundy takes Bret down with a shoulder block and follows up with an elbow drop but misses. Bret then strikes Bundy with some right hands and then come off the ropes looking for a crossbody but Bundy catches him with a powerslam and gets a 2 count. Bundy tags Bam Bam. Bam Bam then worked on Bret's back by delivering some back breakers. He went up top trying to finish Bret off early with a headbutt off the top rope but missed. Bret makes the hot tag to Diesel as Bigelow tagged Bundy.

Diesel and Bundy exchanged blows until Bigelow got a cheapshot on Diesel allowing Bam Bam and Bundy to gain the momentum. Bundy sent Diesel into the ropes and Diesel hit a diving shoulder block to take Bundy down. Midway into the match Bret Hart is in the ring taking a tremendous amount ot punishment as Bigelow and Bundy exchange quick tags. Bigelow tries a top rope moonsault and misses. Michaels thinks Bret should make the tag but Bret goes up top and delivers a bulldog and gets a 2 count. He follows up with an elbow drop and gets a near fall. Bret delivers a russain legsweep and goes for the sharpshooter but Bundy entered the ring for the save causing Diesel to enter. All four men brawl in the ring. Diesel attempts a jackknife on Bigelow when I.R.S. ran down to the ring causing a disqualification. Bret brawls with I.R.S but Bundy attacks Bret from behind while Bam Bam and Diesel end up brawling outside. I.R.S. holds Bret in the corner as Bundy sets up for the Avalanche as he comes charging in but Bret elbows I.R.S in the face and Bundy squashes I.R.S. Bigelow comes charging into Diesel and Diesel backdrops him to the floor, look at the power of Diesel. Diesel and Bret then send Bundy to the floor with a double clothesline. The ref hands Diesel the WWF Title. Bret and Diesel then taunt The Million Dollar Corporation who make their way near the entrance way. Bret and Diesel then shake hands. Vince said these two certainly got along tonight and what a match up this will be at the Royal Rumble. Diesel then celebrates with the fans as Raw comes to a close.

He asks Lawler to go in the casket to he can make him disappear and then he will make him reappear but Lawler said he's afraid of caskets. Doink then decides to let one of his druids go in the casket while one watches his back in the ring. The druid gets inside the casket as Doink closes the lid shut. Doink said now he will make his druid disappear but then he will make him reappear. Suddenly the lights go out and they are back on. Doink wonders what is going on so Doink decides to open the casket lid open and out pops The Undertaker. Lawler is freaked out and bails out of the ring. Undertaker grabs Doink by the throat but Undertaker gets stopped by the druid. Undertaker destroys the druid and sends a message to Doink and tombstones the druid. Doink backs up the entrance way running for his life. Undertaker stares him down and does his cut throat signal. Doink's time of fun and games could be coming to an end at the Royal Rumble.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
Oh 1995, this brings back memories. It's going to be difficult for you to book Raw with so many high profile matches each week without repeating yourself or giving away your big PPV matches. You're either going to have to expand the roster or build up some of the mid-card talent.

Are you planning on writing superstars too? I know it was seen as the B show but they did a good job building up the PPV's on that show back in the day.

Re: WWF 1995: The New Generation
1995 is a difficult time period to book, the ppvs of 1995 were terrible but Iíve planned out my ppv cards which improves the match quality. In this thread you will see a better Rumble, WrestleMania, King of the Ring, SummerSlam and so on. The Royal Rumble 95 Rumble match was terrible and hopefully you will enjoy my Royal Rumble show. :) For my tv shows like Raw, most of my high profile matches on Raw wonít end up on ppv. Iíve planned out my ppv cards for the entire year of 1995 so only a few matches that I give away on Raw will end up on a ppv some time in my btb. Iím just writing Raw and ppvs. Superstars and Wrestling Challenge will be posted as quick results but I will include important notes from the shows. After WrestleMania XI, Wrestling Challenge will be pulled off the air so then I will just work on Raw and Superstars. At some point in the near future expect to see more guys on the roster such as Triple H and many more. The next Raw show(final Raw before the Royal Rumble) will be posted soon.
