It is the 17th of September, the night after the WWE Pay-Per-View Night of Champions. The fans in the Webster Bank Arena are expecting an action-packed RAW to follow on the large Pay-Per-View. Just one week ago, the much loved colour commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler had suffered a heart attack during the showing of RAW. The fans were torn, and all across tonight's show are signs of good luck and well being toward the proud man. Micheal Cole, his good friend and co-commentator, wears a "Long Live the King" shirt in his friend's honour. For this night, the fan favourite JBL has a chance to fill-in for "The King".
The show is a hit. As the night draws to a close, John Cena lands the Attitude Adjustment on CM Punk and covers him for the three count in a tag-team contest. As John Cena and Sheamus, his tag partner for this match, walk back to the locker rooms, CM Punk and his manager Paul Heyman argue with the ref. Punk had his foot on the bottom rope when the ref counted the pin-fall, so the win shouldn't have counted. However, the referee had missed the call, with the replays clearly indicating that the fall should not have been counted. The argument escalates, and the ref eventually attempts to leave the arena. As he gets half-way up the ramp, and as Punk begins to exit the ring, the lights and all the power to the show has shut itself off, and the show ends.
